I have yet to speak from experience with the service I will receive, but I got a next day installation, so i am pleased in that regard. The store itself was nice.
I needed to make a change from another phone carrier to Buckeye and they were so very helpful. Conswala happened to be the one I explained my issue to- and she went above and beyond to help us.

We need to get municipal broadband in our area. If we had local internet itd be faster and cheaper than Buckeye. Buckeye is monopolizing the area and taking advantage of there being no competition.
Considering their drivers like to drive exclusively in the left lane and prevent proper passing on a highway, I wouldnt let these guys touch anything I own of any value.
I dont particularly like cable companies, however, Buckeye is great compared with Comcast.I have Comcast in my Florida home and you better hope comcast doesnt buy Buckeye someday. Terrible customer services. Expensive and service isnt any better than any other.
A little bit of a wait, but got all my answers after a lot of figuring. My bill was messed up.. I was on the phone for 1 hour 20 minutes the day before and they couldnt figure it out. 15 minutes in the store they got it. Thanks
My service is constantly disconnecting and re connecting while watching tv. My daughter can’t even play her ps4 that is hard wired because it disconnects as well. I’ve had technicians out more than once and nothing has gotten any better. My Verizon hotspot is more reliable at this point.
So I just had it installed today and I am already regretting it. I live in an apartment building that apparently has fiber internet and not once did the person on the phone mention this. The person on the phone instead gave me a list of routers that I could purchase to avoid paying the monthly rental fee. I purchase one and today the installer came with the correct router in his hand like he knew I would have the wrong one and said mine would not work. Now I am forced to pay the monthly fee and I am stuck with a router I have no idea what to do with. On top of this they did not apologize at all for the inconvenience and said that I am not the only one who has had this happen to them in my building. I don’t know if I am asking too much but some composition would be nice because now I am paying for their error. Will definitely be dropping them once my promo period ends because normal prices are insane. Go with a lte internet service instead if they are your only option.
Very high priced internet, poor quality, internet is constantly losing connection, it happens everyday all day long. Called tech support the gentleman said it was corrected, lasted less than a hour. No offer to send someone out, no offer for a price reduction for the month. But prices continue to get higher and higher. Would NEVER recommend

Buckeye is pricey, but they offer good service and everytime I have an issue, they are quick and efficient in solving my problem. They ask appropriate security questions to insure they have the correct account and to keep their customers safe.
Throughout the years, I have lived in several cities and had a multitude of different cable and internet providers. Buckeye broadband has consistently provided the least reliable and most inconsistent service, while also being by far the most expensive. Your internet and cable will hardly ever work and they will charge you an arm and a leg to provide it. Go elsewhere, anywhere else. The level of product/ service they provide should be considered fraud for what they charge for it. Only gave 1 star because 0 was not an option.

Ive had Buckeye and Spectrum.Buckeye charges $109 a month for 100mbps and Spectrum $50 for the same speed. Both are unlimited data. Buckeyes deal is for 6 mos at $50 then you have to negotiate a new deal. Ridiculous.If you live in Huron call Spectrum put in an escalation to get service. These tickets show Spectrum the amount of people that want service. So far from what Ive found out its over 1,000.Never once in having Spectrum did I EVER have to call tech support or go switch out modems. Ive called Buckeye dozens of times for service outage and equipment failures.If you do have to get Buckeye go buy your own MODEM ROUTER. Get the best one available that is COMPATIBLE with Buckeye. Unfortunately ARRIS surfboard is not. Hope this helps.

Customer service is decent. Only reason for 2 stars. Internet service is slow and theyre always having issues on their end. Download speed is terrible and you always get way less for what youre paying for. Hopefully we can all get a different provider in this area soon.

Had a terrible experience with technical service. Just moved to Huron and found out that Buckeye is my only option for Internet. I work from home so Internet is extremely important to me. Been having poor connection speed the past few days, then internet went totally out. I called in as the network was coming back up. They told me there was an outage in my area but it was back up. When I asked about the poor performance the past few days, I was instructed to plug directly into the modem and test speed there. Now that the network is back up its running as designed. Tech told me the purpose of plugging directly into the modem was to prove that there is something wrong with my hardware? Seemed fine a few days ago, then slow speeds, then outage.... now seems okay?????? Also very glad I bundled cable TV with my internet, now I get 6 channels for an additional $40. I see why the company has such poor ratings....

Awful Internet service it never works I’m paying $70 a month for something I never get. Customer service always offer solutions to nickel and dime you for services that they should just provide as a good company. They have a monopoly on the area because there are no other providers for TV and Internet around here so they rip off their customers.

Before anyone says its my equipment, Trust me it runs just fine. Its all new and has been tested various ways. HAHAHA• Monopoly.Out of every internet option in Sandusky or Toledo, Buckeye Broadband is basically the only service provider that you can get. The bundles will say whatever lower price you can purchase with, such as the $39.99 for 100mbs. Just to increase this payment by 100%-200% after a few months. An hilarious slap in the face for every customer, knowing that no competitors can get into the areas which they rule over because of the rights they have subjugated. Knowing they can overcharge outrageously excessive prices when exceptional service providers can give you the same or MUCH better internet for more then half the price. The holders of the company are sitting in their 30 bedroom bathhouses laughing away as they criminally siphon money out of everyone who just happens to live their lives in these beautiful areas of Ohio.•Terrible Speeds & Consistent Outages.I dont know how fast the other bundles can *actually* give you, but we have the 200mbs deal. You can run a wired connection with Ethernet and only get 30mbs download at its height. The average is below ~10mbs on a good day.. for a couple hours. Outages and high latency are frequent and can have a great chance at ruining your day. 150+ms ping when just connecting to servers in Florida, despicable. A couple good friends of mine that live in Tehran, Iran get faster internet speeds then me on average. Can you imagine, living in a 1st World country thinking you have all the cards of quality of life with you only to find out there is exploitative corporations giving Americans subpar speeds and overcharged, unreliable WiFi compared to a nation that has a lower GDP then the U.S Military Budget.●Conclusion.VOTE for your local representative who is willing to expand rights over internet services and advocate for a complete rework of the rights that Buckeye Broadband has seized, not only is it completely criminal to our state and its people, but ultimately an exploit that the elite company owners keep on using to make more, more and more money.
I would confirm support @ Buckeye rates as some of the worst in the industry. Was experiencing issues today with connectivity and determined prior to calling the issue was not in the house nor was it between our house and Buckeye, but apparently Buckeye handoff to the outside world (a capacity issue). I reached out to support, explained the steps and taken and that if he could see if some issues exist between Buckeye and handoff. The tech solution was resetting my router. Totally clueless. Maybe send your techs to Networking 101. Left message with Mr. Block on his cell phone but my experience with him in the past, unless its broadcast TV or newspapers, he doesnt have a clue about broadband or networking as a whole so will probably be another waste of time. Spectrum/Charter, please overbuild Buckeye and provide customers a choice.

Messages for your data usage flashes on the screen so fast that you cannot possibly read the information they are providing. Prior to their billing changes, you could read the message and know how close you were to going over your data. You actually had to acknowledge that you were aware of the information. It is obvious that Buckeye Cable knows that providers are limited in the area. The cost far exceeds the service you receive.
I had to change my rating and review for Buckeye. Originally I didn’t think too highly about them, as they have a monopoly and it shows at times, but they absolutely have the best customer support and I’ve never been terribly throttled (minus a few times that corrected itself within a few hours). No, seriously, zero throttling. And, they also are helping people out during this financial crisis, which is incredible. The only reason I can’t leave them a five star review is because the upload is so slow 5mbps is very low. If were 10, I’d absolutely think they deserve a perfect score.
I switched from buckeye about 2 years ago and went with direct TV. Ive been totally disappointed with there service from the first day. There equipment is junk. Everytime you call with a problem you talk to someone you dont understand. The people at buckeye are so knowledgeable easy to talk to and you understand every word. Plus there local. I only have 2 months left on my contract and Ill you bet I will be back to buckeye cable

I have been a loyal customer for the last 5 years. I am currently paying 112.64 dollars a month for 100mbps and unlimited data. There is currently a promotion running where you get the same package I have for 39.99 dollars a month. I called customer service asking if there was any way I could get that bundle or get a price reduction on my bill, and she said she couldnt do that. The only way she could reduce my bill was to drop my 100mbps to 25mbps and keep unlimited data for 79.99 a month. I said, so youre telling me I have to cut my internet by 75% to see a 25% decrease in my bill. Buckeye Broadband is a joke, and I would love to see Verizon or At&t break their monopoly.
I have been paying for 50mbp for nearly a year and the speed test report states I was only receiving 23. The recent upgrade is claiming 100 but now the speed test states I am at 39. What gives here? I work out of my home office and speed is very important in downloading large files.
Terrible option if you happen to be in business that peaks on weekend afternoons as that seems to be when they tend to have outages to do maintenance. Also, no help when it comes to trying to block numbers for spam and robocalls.
Very rude customer service. I would never recommend them ever. Made appointment to get service. I paid the money to get it. Have been waiting all morning for them to come and call to see whats going on. The lady tells me I owe over $800. For what I have No idea. Couldnt even give me a reasonable explanation. I wish I could leave a zero star review. Buckeye used to be good, about 5 years ago. Since then, I have had nothing but problems. Constant disconnects, not getting close to advertised speeds, throttling. You want to know the best part? I called a couple years ago, because I got a data overage. Asked what that was about. They said that customers requested data caps so they could have lower bills. BS! Never again, Buckeye.
Place is a joke. Moved up here and had spectrum in my prior location. I had unlimited data and 100 mbps for only 50$. They charged us almost 60$ and it’s not unlimited. Not to mention they said we went over our data yet did not give us a notification until a day before the cycle ended. They then told us we had over 100$ worth of over used data. If we only got the notification a day before the cycle ended how was it 100$? The sad thing is there is no where else to really get internet from up here. Very unhappy.

Slow internet, high prices and gives us a late fee every month. They say their website has problems when we submit our payment. Each. Month. We only pay for wifi and are constantly disconnected and pay over $110.00 a month.
I subscribed to Buckeye Broadband with the intention of using it at home. I get better reception in my house on my hand held device without using Buckeyes service than with. When the box was installed I explained to the installer that its a 3,100+ sq ft house. And the second floor unit is another 3,100 sq ft. I wanted to be 100% certain that Id get service throughout. His response was, Oh, sure. Of course! Famous last words. I even get lousy service in the next room. If the replacement box (whichs coming tomorrow) is no better, Im canceling. Nothing should be this difficult.

I would give buckeye broadband a zero star rating if I could but I cannot. They are extremely expensive, their services are very poor, talk to the rudest and inconsiderate representative I’ve ever talk to my life at this company, Their TV services work may be 85% of the time at best, their Internet services Is extraordinarily slow, and their Wi-Fi works in and out out. When I called for a technician to come for repair service I was threatened with I’d have to pay for The service call if there’s nothing was wrong with my service. When the technician did come out they found that my modem was not working. So I was not charged but they strongly encouraged me on my phone calls of my complaint not to have someone come out because it nothing was wrong I would have to pay for the service call. Had I have listened I would not have television as of today and been paying their exorbitant price for their less then poor service. I have their service for my vacation Condo and Lake Erie. I have found in Huron, Ohio there another companies that service this area. I am looking into and tennis and anything else I can do along with Amazon prime to discontinue their services. If anyone has any suggestions please let let me know. Again I only wish I could give buckeye broadband a zero star rating
Buckeye is the most greedy cable company ever . Their data cap is 250GB. This is far less than 100 hours of watching full HD video online. Cost of unlimited 100 Mbps is $139.00 with $30.00 unlimited data package and $10.00 modem fee. Almost twice as much what you’d pay with Spectrum Internet.They force you to rent or buy one of their approved modems that is not sold in any other retail channel . They will do their best not to allow any third party modems that you own. #antitrustIf you are only being offered Buckeye, stop complaining either here or on facebook.Call your city . They also do things such as limit wi-fi and miscellaneous charges on your bill that serve no real purpose.When I was living in Columbus I used Spectrum. I paid less than 1/3 of the price for a better package. I got outstanding service and it was just such a better experience. I think its about time someone looks into how and why Buckeye Cable is able to keep their grip firmly grasped around our throats.

I literally hate having them as my internet provider. Bill keeps going up throughout the year, they claim they’re adding fast stronger equipment in the area which is causing almost constant outages. Prices are sky high for mediocre service. The have basically monopolized the area. I’m constantly having to reset my router, even with having switched out my equipment for “better service” I’m really tired of dealing with them.
Has only a 6 month promotion and then jumps $30 just for internet a month. Now paying $111 for internet. Their monopoly in this town sucks. The customer service is atrocious! Sneaky fees late fees added even though it was payed on time! charges you 2$ so they can send you a paper bill! Who does that? Cable and wifi often go out when you want to actually watch a show. Some of the customer service on the phone will only offer help if you want to pay more money for a service! Got rid of my cable service because of it. I was not allowed to speak to a manager 21 dollar fees kept adding up even though my checks was sent for the date due through my online banking! They stated only after I called that it was because I sent it through a 3rd party! Never has any of my other bills been late! The dont even bother to say hey you have a late fee!!!

Buckeye Broadband is trash. Constant service outages, high prices, and a consistent 1 hr or longer wait on the phone for customer service. Stay away if you can. Unfortunately they run a monopoly in my area otherwise I would switch to someone else. If a better company started competing Buckeye would be out of business.

Speeds are average at best, and the price is ridiculous for service that doesnt work all the time.For the sake of comparison the gig service with unlimited data and doubled upload speed (1000 down/20 up) costs $350 per month from buckeye. In Nashville at&t offers speeds (1000 down/1000 up) for with no data cap for $70 per month. Just let that sink in for a minute.
I wouldnt recommend their company to anyone. They lock you in for two years and then want to charge you an upgrade halfway through along with charging you for their equipment that hardly ever works. Their customer service members lacks basic customer service skills and almost impossible to get ahold of.

Where to start?..Cable companies have 95% gross margin.They lie about modem compatibility and tell you to plug it in and expect to work without MAC change in the system. Modem does not go green ? Its not compatible. Service is expensive and they automatically charge you $25 for any service call. It gets waived on the next bull if issue is not cause in wiring within your home .20 or $25 late payment penaltyThey charge for printed statements as well.
I called because there was a problem with my bill. I was told they would credit me $30. The woman on the phone said to pay the full bill and the credit would be on the next one. Well what do you know, no credit given.As soon as another competitor can show up in the area I am dumping Buckeye Broadband. I have dealt with many companies and customer service in my 62 years, but Buckeye Broadband seems to go out of their way to deliver the absolute poorest service, both personally and technically. You dont have time to read the book that I could write about promised but never returned phone calls, promised rate adjustments that pop up again on my bill in several months, technicians that are poorly trained, large increases that show up on my bill that were PROMISED FACE-TO-FACE would not happen, constant service outages---the list goes on. I cant wait until technology increases to the point that everyone can tell Buckeye Broadband to head for the scrap heap of absolutely failed companies, based on greed and incompetence. Profit is good, but greed is unacceptable. Please save yourself money, frustration, and time, and find some other way to bring fair, honest, and reliable electronic services into your home. Dont sign on with these thieves.
An older woman called me in tears because her internet was not working and Buckeye would do nothing to help her. The installer failed to properly connect an old desktop to the modem/router that was right next to the computer when he did the initial setup. An ethernet cable was left dangling behind the computer connected to nothing. When she called support she was told there was nothing they could do about it. This customer is in her 80s and was very upset about not having internet. It took me literally ten seconds to hook up the cable from tower to modem.When I called support I was told that sometimes the installers carry ethernet cables with them and if they are nice they hook them up for the customers. A little bit of humanity could and would have spared this elderly lady hours of grief. Shame on Buckeye Broadband!
Their customer service is always good and pleasant. However, their service is terrible. A couple weeks after installing brand new equipment the whole system froze up and we were recommended to unplug and then replug. We did but we also had to reset the modem and the system rebooted and all was fine. Except that it of course erased my Wi-Fi info, so instead of messing around with buckeye to reset that as well i luckily still gaff my old router. Anyway, just as before the internet ALWAYS randomly cutsout, even when connected through hardwire. The main cable box will randomly reboot itself, like at 5 last evening, which cuts out the other box. Theres no way to turn off the box so I have to cover it at night so the bright red light doesnt keep me up. Were supposed to have caller id, which were paying for, but everything comes up as unavailable. And, were stuck with buckeye, unless we want satellite, because they have a monopoly on cable for erie county. So theyre prices are astronomical and we struggle to keep up with the payments. Last I checked monopolies were illegal.
Crazy High rates poor service quality in my neighborhood. I was happy to drop off my equipment and say goodbye

I cannot believe how much I pay for only internet service. I feel robbed every month. And you are stuck since they appear to be the sole provider available in the area. They rip off the customer at every turn. But the people in the office are pretty nice to deal with.
We used Buckeye for our boat during the boating season. Will never use this service again. Pricing is horrible, and their service is worse.
If I could give less than 1 star I would.They over charge because they have a monopoly in the area. The service sucks. I am supposed to have 10mbps up and I most of the time I get half or less. The second a competitor is available in this area this company will cease to exist. The very second I can switch to a viable competitor I will.
Where i am located they are the only place we can get cable and internet. They use this to their advantage and charge customers a lot of money. I am very unhappy with their pricing. They told us one price in the beginning and we ended up with another. Each month it keeps going up and up and up. Only some of the customer services members are friendly. Some are horribly rude. The service is great we never so far in three years lost service. And the internet works great on gaming and streaming. If they would have better pricing i would have gave them a much higher rating.
You ever watch the Cleveland Browns during the 2016 and 2017 football seasons? That’s kind of how their service is. Just filled with nothing but disappointment. I’d trust Hue Jackson handling an internet and cable service over these clowns at buckeye. Horrible service, always change when your bill is due, can’t ever get a hold of somebody when you call. They dissapoint me more than my own kids
Simply the WORST Cable company in the area!! Speaks allot when all the staff walk out back in march when we drove up and asked why the lobby was closed and was informed everyone walked out. Id recommend AT&T Uverse....
Worst cable provider of all time. Expensive and charges for literally everything! I have my own modem which I had no choice but to buy from Buckeyecable because the equipment must be compatible with there system. This is our second home in sandusky. Today I wanted to temporarily suspend the internet till next year, I was told I have to pay $4 month till I request to turn it on.I asked why? theres no internet I was told all I have to do is call and they will turn it on next year. WHTF? I totally suspended the service Ill take my chances of what the cost to re-subscribe. The internet is $65 a month to rent there modem is $12/ month. I eliminated the cost to rent there old equipment and have my own modem. I stream using youtube tvfor $53/a monthMy guess is they will find a way to charge for service call. Those of you that lives in Erie county I will feel sorry for you guys. Maybe someday there will be a competitor.
Overpriced with internet lag spikes and couldnt care less about you once you pay your first bill. Prices go up and you have no other options in the area. My bill went up an additional 40 bucks a month and they were generous enough to give me a 10 dollar credit for 3 months....
