Nice folks. About the only insurance co. that will give you coverage if you live in a fire zone.

I have been doing business with Farm Bureau for 35 years + I like the way they do business and they are very friendly.

Called this office for farm insurance. They completely dropped the ball and never got back to me. Furthermore, I know from talking to one of their agents, they, like State Farm, while they both have Farm in their names, wont insure real farms. They wont go anywhere near product liability for a farm to consumer operation, and wont even cover the property of a raw milk producer. It isnt risk averse, it is just sold out.

I use this company for my home insurance and have found them responsive and helpful for all my inquiries. I had a really bad day that involved a fire AND a flood (that day can go suck eggs), and they did a great job of working with the contractors to assess the damage. Some of the process was slow (if not glacial), but the ultimate outcome was positive. I would use them for other insurance needs and recommend them. In the mean time, Ill try not to burn my house down... I should mention that I have an off-grid, solar-powered, straw-bale home, which requires a little special attention. They were great at accommodating this without inflating the price or making the process more complicated.
