Toyota Marin put me on the waiting list for my first car - the hard-to-find rav4 prime, and they secured the color+package I wanted, and charged me a great price. They worked around my schedule, and made me feel like a valued customer.Purchasing felt like a very easy, hassle free, straightforward process. Special thanks to Tony, Roman, and everyone else who made this such an easy process
I recently purchased a car here and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I wasnt sure what I wanted when I walked in and Roman was incredibly helpful and understanding. I looked at a bunch of different cars and asked a lot of noobie questions. Roman was excited to help me find the right car and answered all of my questions. Thomas (the manager) came up and had really great suggestions also. The service made me feel comfortable and not pressured in the least. Full recommendation and make sure to ask for Roman (although everyone has been helpful in the past also)!
I contacted Miguel back in June, to test drive a 2021 Toyota Prius Prime. Unfortunately the dealer did not have any in stock. There was a $4500 rebate that was going to expire July 6, 2021, and I really wanted to purchase this vehicle and take advantage of the rebate.Miguel contacted other dealers in the state who had this vehicle listed on their inventory. Her tried to get one of the other dealers to transfer one of the remaining Primes to his dealership. He called me on Saturday, July 3, 2021 to say unfortunately he was unable to get the vehicle transferred to his dealership, but he gave me the dealer name and address where the remaining cars were.I called the Roseville Toyota location, and I drove 2.5 hours. In the end, I managed to buy the last 2021 Prime off of the Roseville lot. Someone came in with cash while I was filling out the financing application, but I still got the car.It turned out to be a very pretty blue, and exactly the color that I would have chosen, if I had had the chance. Im thrilled with my new plug-in hybrid car, and Im so glad that Miguel was willing to help me out! I probably wouldnt have gotten the car if he hadnt called me that day and told me where to go.Thanks Miguel!
Tony and Jose in Sales were excellent in communication and very patient with me. I was coming up from Los Angeles to buy a vehicle so I wanted everything to be ready before I make the trip to pick up the vehicle. They took care of everything and found me a great financing rate as well. Tony also followed up with me even after purchase. I am very satisfied with their service. A++
We bought a used SUV at Toyota Marin a couple of weeks ago. We found the vehicle we wanted at a good price and received a good trade in offer.Roman T was our sales person. Very personable and professional. We had to drive 3 hours to make the purchase. Worth the time and drive!
Miguel and the other associates were friendly, direct, and open about the vehicle and process. The test drive, which I was refused at another dealership (I had a permit at the time), was instrumental in sealing my purchase of the RAV4. Miguels referral for insurance proved invaluable, saving me well over $1000/year. Also, the ability to have it delivered after a couple of days, rather than needing to drive it off the lot immediately, was extremely helpful. My one criticism is that the purchase took a long time. I decided I wanted the car at 1:20pm, but wasnt done until around 5:30. Miguel did apologize for the delay, explaining that they had a new business manager, and stayed with me the whole time.
Keep in mind that Thomas (their sales manager) will FULLY UNWIND A MADE DEAL for an extra quick buck.We spent 3 hours negotiating, found out an hour in they tacked on a $5,000 wheel and tire package that wasnt even on the car yet. Once they agreed to take that off, we continued negotiating with our salesman Kyrell (poor guy got super screwed by this sales manager, he was doing his very best) until Thomas came over and told us that he was unwilling to sell the car at the price agreed upon unless we added either:a: The $5,000 wheel and tire package,b: a $4,000 service contract.Beyond disappointed at these scam artists, read the other reviews and see why this place has the inventory nobody else can hang onto. They wont sell it if youre not getting beyond screwed.
I also had a bad experience at Toyota Marin and do not recommend them. I went to purchase a new key at their parts department. The parts department guy was nice. However, he sold me the wrong key which would allow the key to turn the ignition and allow the car to sound like it would turn over but would not start. Unfortunately for me the sequence of events was such that I was home and had a car that wouldn’t start after repeated attempts and didn’t know this was being caused by the wrong key. I therefore at past 5pm had to rent a car from Toyota Marin so I would be able to go see my Mom in the hospital. I ended up keeping the rental two days. I was charged $128 /day for the car and was given no discount that the service advisor said I should receive. When I asked about this over the phone, they said there was nothing they could do. This is after their selling me the wrong key, me having to rent a car, the car being towed there and given a regular service and me paying to have the correct key programmed. Additionally, when the car was being serviced, one of the service advisors called to say there was over $3,000 that he recommended should be repaired on the car when it was there just to get an oil change (the car has had regular service elsewhere and no one had mentioned anything about the things they were saying the car needed). It felt like anyone I encountered there was all about seeing how much money they could charge anyone coming through the door.
I do not approve of their tactics. They sit down, work out a great deal with a catch. You have to get a $5000 maintenance package or else the deal is off.
UPDATE AT BOTTOMI am totally dissatisfied with the service experience I received from Toyota Marin. I arrived at Toyota on a Friday with a flat tire. They assured me they could get it repaired, and if they couldnt then they would discuss it with me. After waiting 2 hours they finally came back and told me that they could not repair the tire and needed to replace it. They didnt have the tire in stock so I would have to wait until Monday to get the tire replaced. They also informed me that while inspecting the tire they had severely damaged the rim on my wheel. They said they would of course fix that for free. However, I ended up leaving the Toyota lot with a car in worse condition than how it was when I drove onto the lot. I had to go the entire weekend without work since my job requires constant driving of my personal vehicle. The service advisor told me that no rental was available over the weekend. This entire process cost me $1,000 including the cost of repairs and the work I missed. I came back on Monday with my vehicle and they assured me the process would only take 15 minutes to get the paperwork filed and get me out of there in a rental until they had my car fixed. I filed paperwork and waited 15 minutes in a waiting room before being called into the rental office. After filing paperwork they realized I was under 21 so they couldnt rent to me. Had they checked my profile in their system or checked my ID they would have known that. I had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to become available to drive me down to Hertz rental where I waited in line for another 30-45 minutes before getting my rental car from them. And Toyota failed to send over the information to bill them instead of me so I had to make a phone call to Toyota to get the information so I didnt have to pay for the rental. On Wednesday I came back for my vehicle, returned the rental, and paid for the repairs. They drove my car out. I was furious to see that the spare tire was still on my vehicle and the new tire was nowhere in sight. I went back inside and they realized they had a miscommunication. I had to wait another 10-15 minutes in the waiting room before they were finished putting the new tire back on. We realized later that the Toyota logo was missing from the new tire which cost us another trip back to Toyota to get it fixed. Of course, they didn’t have the part in stock so we have to wait another day for it to come in. I complained to the manager who tried to get my business back but this was the last straw. I will never return to this Toyota for service ever again. They have lost my business for good.Update:Toyota Marin has contacted me several times to correct this error and gave me in-store credit for anything I might need from them. I’ve decided to give them a second chance, and so far they have done well at giving me top-notch service. I’m changing this from 1 star to 3 stars in hopes they’ll continue to improve!
I was connected promptly to someone in the service department. He answered all my questions and was able to fit me into an appointment that same afternoon. The service was completed in the timeframe I had been given. Although the CatShield stickers werent on my car when it was brought to me, and my service rep was already gone, another service rep was able to locate two stickers and place them on the windows for me. I go to Toyota Marin for all my car servicing. I highly recommend them.
I was interested in buying a car on their lot. The price of the car was marked up 4K. I called and ask why. It was because it has aftermarket TRD wheels. No picture on line or even on their website tells you or shows you this. I talked to a manager but that was a waste of time. I have and email that is from the dealership stating the cars MSRP price which is lower then asking on website and they wont honor that price I have in my email. BS!!! Almost all their cars on their lot are marked up. Just look on their website. I do not recommend them at all.
This is the worst service ever! I brought my car for inspection. They damaged my car! Probably during their car wash. Roof frame got huge bent. Mirror is broken. Hundreds of small scratches around this area. After our conversation with the manager It’s look like that it’s not the first time and it’s normal situation for them. They said that they will call me to schedule an appointment but nobody called me. This is not the first issue with this service department. Last time they tried to over charge me for the service which must be free by extended warranty. Other time they forgot to send you shuttle car, other time they forgot to call you when your car is ready and many and many other issues.
Emailed dealer searching for a particular car, which was hard to find (was looking at all CA regions as well as Oregon and Nevada). Andrew and Miguel were amazing - prompt replies, patience in answering all questions/concerns and walked me through the entire process.
Go anywhere else. Dropped my Tacoma off at 930 am for routine service and to diagnose a the abs light,( I told Leo I suspect and bad sensor or bad wheel bearing that was causing the abs light to come on). I was told I could pick the truck up at 5pm same day. I show up 5pm and was told truck is not ready and that Stewart little has been chewing up wires that’s why my abs light is on or so I was told. After I show up at 5pm to pick up my truck I’m told by Leo the guy who I was dealing with at the counter that he’s been talking to me all day about this problem apparently Leo got me confused with another Tacoma owner and was communicating my trucks issues with the wrong owner, or so he said. So my truck sat all day and none of the original maintenance was even started. I told Leo pull it off the rack and give me the truck back I’ll take it else where. Leo begged me to let him make it right stating “it’s not my money let me take care of it”. I told him I want 50% percent off the maintenance and a loaner car for the time I’m out a vehicle. He agreed to 50% off maintenance but then said I need to contact my insurance because insurance will cover the mouse chewing wires. Leo said to call my insurance and tell them to call him at Toyota Marin and he will make them pay for it. I did not call my insurance.I get a call from Leo the next day at 1030 am saying that there was no rodent damage after all and that my left rear wheel bearing was shot and that was causing my abs light to come on. Which is what I suggested right when I dropped the truck off. He tells me my truck will be ready at 5.I go to pick up my truck and Leo already had my bill set up and only 300 off an 1100 bill. Not what we agreed on. Then he says I got you a free loaner.Makes you wonder how this would have played out if I called my insurance and made a claim and gave them Leo’s contact information. Also makes me wonder how many times Toyota Marin has pulled one over on insurance companies and their unknowing customers. Keep in mind Leo wanted me to submit an insurance claim for chewed up wires but couldn’t show me one chewed up wire then when I didn’t submit a claim all of the sudden my diagnosis changed. If any costumer has had issues with Toyota Marin I strongly recommend you take any diagnosis you get from them to a third party for a second opinion. I will never be purchasing a new vehicle from Toyota Marin or using there service department ever again.
We spent three hours putting together a deal for the sales manager to shatter it to pieces over a $5,000 wheel and tire package seconds before we signed for the car. Kyrell did his best to help us, but Thomas the sales manager was unable sell us the car without an additional service contract or an exorbitant package.
I leased a new Corolla Hybrid from Keith Ural of Toyota Marin on April 14, 2021. My experience with Keith is the absolute best I have ever had in either buying/leasing a brand new/used car.I feel he is knowledgeable, thorough, good follow-thru, honest, pleasant and just an overall fine human being. In all of my experience of interacting with automobile sales people, he is just a joy to do business with. In the future when I need another car, Keith is the go-to-person I will get my car from.
Excellent experience purchasing a new hybrid RAV4 yesterday with Nick. We would highly recommend!
When u wanna buy something there will more then 5 employees to help but when you want to get refund for your own money its my fifth month and still waiting. Its just so unprofessional I called them several times but every time I get this excuse that they are in the meeting even if u call them 10am or 1pm or 4pm u will hear this again and again.
There was so much wrong with a used car I test drove. When I pointed an issue out to the worker he said what do you expect its a 2006. I dont expect the cars to be perfect. But if they want top dollar the cars should be top tier.Problems with car hood had trouble closing, panel to adjust driver seat was hanging off (holding clip was broken) rear wiper switch was broken partially hanging off wiper was stuck on. And driver side window alignment was off window made contact with frame 1/2 before door closed.
I never write reviews, but I couldnt resist this time:I was calling over and over again to see if my car was done. A lady told me they would leave my name and number for a service rep and they will call me back. Well I waited two hours... no call.. I call again at 6pmish(1 hour before closing) and she says the exact same thing...they would leave my name and number for a rep and they will call me back. ONE HOUR BEFORE CLOSING. I found a co-worker who could drop me off because Toyota was not calling back to schedule a pickup... I get to Toyota and they say, oh Kevin your cars been done for some time. Well I was done with work at 3pm(which I told the service rep when I dropped my car off and he wrote down 3pm on his sheet and circled it) waited until 6:30pm to get my car, which was finished hours earlier and no one could tell me from Toyota or schedule a pickup. If my co-worker didnt drop me off right before closing I am convinced I was going to stuck in San Rafael without a car to drive home because they wouldnt call me with only 30 mins left before closing! Here is the catch - My fuel injector was replaced due to Toyotas recall and they spilled gas all over my brakes. My 2019 Tacoma is now squeaking at every stop sign and red light. Good thing I live in the city and get reminded every second. Time for some ***** service all over again. I am locked into a contract($$$$) to get it serviced up until 100,000 miles. Can I have my money back?I can predict the future and Toyota Marin will respond to this and say we are sorry about your experience and are looking into this.I am giving them two stars because the service in the past was decent.
Perhaps it goes without saying, but if you give them your email address, youll receive 3-4 emails per day from them asking you if youd like to buy this car or that car. Relentless!
Every aspect of finding, and purchasing, our new Camry was phenomenal. The web page is makes it easy to search for a great new vehicle. The entire staff was friendly and I never had any awkward interactions. Daniel, Tu, and the entire staff made the e-purchase of our new Camry stress free. They were always available to answer any questions, even on multiple cars, after hours. They even delivered the car, over 200 miles, on Christmas Eve!!!!!Thank you all again, at Toyota Marin.
Good service but after been told their cars undergo 120 point inspection before resell, it turns out as a complete joke. I took the car for an inspection; the coolant fluid was super rusty which is very unhealthy for the car. I had to pay for multiple coolant flushes! Also, the power steering fluid was way below the minimum.Dont rely on what they say, take the car for an independent inspection! Their inspection is worthless and misleading!
I had to bring my car in for a recall. One of their employees ended up getting himself injured in my car. He filed a workmans comp claim, and I was sued by the dealerships insurance company. Also, their service was poor.
The staff is really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They always get me in right away and when I do have to wait, its never for long and they let me know THEY know I am waiting and are working hard to get to me as soon as possible.
My 2000 Corolla Hatchback has a bluish discoloration in the Black interior, spoke to the Customer Relations Manager who confirmed that it was a Warranty Issue who referred me to the Service Manager. The Service Manager did nothing to fix the problem, she said to have the interior detailed! I did have it detailed, I did and the discoloration had returned! I will never buy another Toyota from Toyota Marin in California!
Nightmare. My wife and I bought a car from this place. everything was good until we got to the latino finance guy. He asked, choose between these 3 insurance. I told my wife that we didnt have to choose any because that is optional. The guy got angry and asked me to step out, and told me that I didnt have any right to say anything because my wife was the one paying. I started recording everything, then he tells me that he was going to call the police if I kept recording. We still bought the car because my wife was happy with the car but WITHOUT any additional coverage that he tried to sell to us.So anyone looking to buy a car from here please be aware that they might try to push to sell extra insurance to you. YOU dont have to buy anything extra with the car unless you want it. Otherwise becarful because they will try to take as much as possible from you
Dont buy a car there if they washed it when there, the car we bought is great but it has an awful smell. I didnt understand why they had to wash it when we were there... after a day I understood 😌. Its been more than 2 months and I didnt get the title...
Me and my husband bought a car with them in February 2021 and we were told that everything would be handled with the DMV and our. papers and plate will arrive in our address in 1 month. Its been 4 and I called them several time to figure out what is going on and nobody is able to help me. I talked to Sarah though email and she overnighted some paper to us to sign again, and its been 3 weeks now. I have talked to Victor Diaz, sales manager and he stopped answering my phone calls and havent give me a update on my case. I have the car but technically I am driving it illegally since I dont have a plate and the paper plate is expired. Nobody answer the phone call on business hours, very frustrating.
Pleasant costumer service, they understood what we were looking for. Very chill sales reps. Latinos bilingual, respectful, treated me like a Queen I am. We bought our 2020 Sienna. Totally happy with. I highly recommend tge Marin Toyota.
I came in that day having no idea if it was possible that Id leave with a new used vehicle. But the salespersons who helped me - Nicholas Kulberg and Keith Ural - were both excellent and putting me at ease and doing everything they could to help make my dream happen. Upon leaving, they both helped me know that every detail with the car was taken care of.Im so glad Nicholas Kulberg was referred to me and available to help me with my new used vehicle purchase today at Toyota Marin. Nicholas provided utmost top service - assuring me that my vehicle will be attentively & precisely cleaned and cared for. Nicholas gives clients super good attention and service, thinking of every possible little detail and thing that could matter, to make the whole process ease-filled, comfortable and reassuring. Although Nicholas was very busy at an end of the month weekend sale time, he made sure to talk to me and check in, staying posted about my test-driving & car-buying process. Nicholas was able to pair me with the perfect person to further facilitate my car purchase -- I dont think it could have gotten any better than having Keith Ural at Toyota Marin to assist me today in the purchase of a new used car for me. Keith put my nervousness and concerns at ease - assuring me with confidence that we would find a way to work it out, for me to finance my vehicle and leave that day with the automobile I was hoping would be mine. Keith is a great-spirited, enthusiastic, kind-hearted man who explains everything with great care making it clear and understandable. I had a great experience there, felt like a magic dream in which I walked away with exactly what I was hoping for. I truly believe there were car angels there today to help me out & Keith was one of them! As was Nicholas! Keith is a great communicator, very knowledgeable and skilled at what he does, as is Nicholas as well - I would highly recommend going to both or either of them for service.Grateful I got referred to Toyota Marin for the used vehicle I was looking for & would recommend it to all.
Abysmal service and dangerous business practices. (LONG, BUT WORTH READING)After putting on new wheels and tires at an off-road specialty shop, I took my brand new 4Runner to this dealership for a wheel alignment about 3 months ago. I did so because a friend of mine, a car dealer herself, encouraged me to go to the dealer so that they could take responsibility if anything went wrong. I was pretty stoked because when I called them on a Saturday morning and asked if they could do it short notice they said sure bring it by right now and well get it done immediately. Sure enough they turned it around in about an hour and I was initially very pleased. Two weeks later I brought the 4runner back to the dealership to install new shocks and springs. Again, because they were so responsive about the wheel alignment and because I felt that it was always best practice to have the dealer do whatever work I could to keep the warranties intact Etc. I trusted these guys. Big mistake. The work took longer than expected which was slightly frustrating . I also noticed that the longer it went the less I heard back from the service adviser. It took several phone calls and messages left before I finally received a call back from him telling me that the vehicle was ready but they were unable to get rid of a wobble in the steering wheel. When I asked why, he told me that there was a problem aligning the wheels because the lower control arm cam tabs had been bent, but he would not say how they had been bent.Long story long, it finally came out that the tech that did the original wheel alignment at the beginning of this story damaged the cam tabs and failed to report it to anyone. when he was questioned about it he said that it was like that when he got there. THAT is an absolute lie, because 1) if the tabs had been bent when he got to it to do the wheel alignment he would not have been able to successfully complete the job and 2) Toyota Marin is the only shop in existence to have ever performed a wheel alignment on my brand new 4Runner which until I brought it into them had not required one.The service advisor and the entire dealership tried to cover this up. They implied that I was being dishonest about never having had the wheels aligned before, and until I pushed, they said nothing to me about the tech who had done the original work and had obviously caused the problem in the first place. This is a potentially dangerous issue because the front wheels can go out of alignment without warning without the cam tabs in place to hold the vehicle in alignment. To the dealerships credit, once I pushed and spoke to the service manager (George), they put me in a loaner car and they eventually ordered aftermarket cam tab gussets that are much more robust, and had a local body shop weld them in place, taking care of the issue on that side. However I was without my vehicle for two weeks and it wasnt until after many many calls to the dealership and to the body shop to whom they farmed out the work, that anyone from upper management (service and parts director, Paula McCormick) called me to try to apologize and reassure me that they were going to make this right. By that point I was fuming and had totally lost faith in this dealerships ability to safely take care of my car.The original service adviser I worked with refused to take any ownership for the problem and hung up on me when I asked to speak to someone who could make this right. basically his response was I wouldnt have the first clue how to get your car into alignment - remember this is the dealership talking!I will ABSOLUTELY NEVER TAKE MY VEHICLE TO THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN. They are dishonest and dangerous.
Automotive service staff is helpful and they operate in a timely manner
A very nice place to purchase a set of wheels 👌
Great experience. Cole Davis, the sales manager was very polite and willing to help me with whatever I needed. I’m very appreciative for his help and thankful for all that Toyota Marin did for me.
I went to Toyota Marin last weekend to research a new car. My current Toyota lease is ready for return. I worked with Miguel Franco Ortiz. He spent at least 2 hours working through numbers on a Toyota 4Runner. He was kind, patient, explained all of my options and did not pressure me at all. He even found me multiple financing options. My experience with Toyota Marin has always been positive and MIguel is a true professional!
Good place to go for service on yours cars 🚗 they always friendly and always helping with any questions you want from them...
We just bought a new Highlander at the end of December. We were lucky enough to work with Marilise Faria. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, honest and no nonsense. I would definitely buy another car from her. A well-deserved 5 stars!
This was by far the best car buying experience Ive had at any dealership. I was buying one of the cheapest used cars on the lot and still got excellent service. They were even willing to have one of their techs run a hybrid battery test at my request. Everything went smoothly.3 Days later I decided the car wasnt quite right for me. Returning it was no hassle. I was in an out in 20 minutes with a full refund. I honestly never expected a dealership to just take the car back with out a bit of resistance. They were true to their word, and I am very impressed.Martin was the guy helping me and he was great.
I had a great experience. They helped me get a larger loan than I was originally approved for from my bank(USAA), at a lower rate, and the staff were all very kind. Only thing is that they added the optional warranty without saying anything, which was a $3,400 charge. I had to ask what it was for and if it was necessary. However, after looking it over, it seemed worth it, and I went for it anyway. I just wish they would have talked to me about it before tacking it on and not saying a word about it. Overall, Selven (not sure if i spelled it correctly) was great. Thank you.
If you are looking for great service for your Toyota at a dealership, and want to work with the best team, the Service Advisors at Toyota Marin are outstanding to deal with. In particular, Tot ROCKS. He is a total pro - efficient, polite and has excellent follow through. Cannot recommend Tot highly enough!
Love my new RAV4! Victor in the sales department took care of me and was gracious enough to share in my excitement. Highly recommend Toyota Marin for your next Toyota and I cannot say enough good things about my 2021 RAV4 Hybrid. Great experience overall!
Fili in the service department helped me out with great detailed information on the service history of my vehicle and got me scheduled for service the next day! Excellent service!
So unsatisfied and frustrated with the quality of help I’m receiving. Recently bought a truck from here. The truck has a had a series of issues that their technicians lied about being fixed. My car has been in the shop for a month now. One problem leading to another. I was sold a lemon and this dealership is not doing its part to do right by me. I payed top dollar for this vehicle and they wanted me to to cover some fees, when these problems should have been taken care of before they even sold it. I had the vehicle in my possession for a few days before I had to bring it in to the shop, because it was unsafe to drive. I’ve been without a vehicle coming on a month and they have yet to supply me with a loaner car. They told me they would take care of me and now they don’t even return my calls. I’m growing so impatient and infuriated. Worst customer service. Would never buy another vehicle from here and advise you to take your business elsewhere. Extremely unprofessional. Lazy shop technicians and untrustworthy sales representatives.
Service was below one star, they may remedy...
This dealership was pretty good, though we didnt purchase anything. They were super friendly and helpful. One of the employees brought a big stack of pizzas in, and they generously offered to share with customers as well. They also had a nice area for kids with a tub of legos, and various boxes of crayons and markers with free coloring books for kids. My granddaughter enjoyed it.
I called about a corvette that had listed recently.I asked if i can come see it and was told yes it is available. On arrival the sales person has explained that he cannot let me test drive because it is not checked by there service department and they have lots of cars in the lot waiting to be checked. I understood that part but also didnt let me even see the interior and cant locate the key for the car. That was a complete waste of my time. The sales person had no knowledge about the car what so ever didnt even try to get the spec for it, also i tried to talk about finance and was told We dont do any discounts on cars what so ever I know that is not true this car was priced the highest in CA at this moment this car is $6-8k above any other dealership I saw or offers any nationwide for the same specs and year model. I actually found less miles listing with more features and race seats for $6k less proving the price was not competitive at all. Also i have tried to call 3 times to talk to the sales manager i got no answer and no one never called me back I tried not to write this review but they have no customer service they just dont care imagine if you have a problem with the car????? you had a customer that wanted to buy a car with cash and choose to ignore the customer more like make a joke out of him. Also if there was a 0 star option i would pick that one.
Updated**After almost a year of poor communication and no answers for why I have not received my license plates or registration yet, I finally reached out to the GM Doug Formby. He promptly responded to me and figured out what was going on.Although there is really no excuse for the delays and lack of communication from the dealership, I was impressed and encouraged by Dougs quick action and willingness to help. We now have the issue sorted, bar from waiting on the DMV of course, and he threw in a free car wash.If this had been dealt with at the start I would have no problem giving a 5 star review, but I cannot in good conscience give a 5 star review when it took me going directly to the GM almost a year after car purchase to sort it out. Doug gets 5 stars, dealership gets 1.
Bought two cars from this dealer (same salesman too) and came away feeling happy with my car and experience.
We took advantage of their free valet service since we live only a few miles from this business. They picked our vehicle up early with our permission. We only needed a regular 5,000 mile checkup. After 4-5 hours had passed, my husband called to see what the delay was. The service manager stated that the car had been finished for awhile and sent to the valet for drop off, but he didnt even know where our car was and we couldnt get ahold of the valet. Finally we got a call around 3:00pm stating they were going to drop the car off at our home. They had picked it up from my work, and I had been stranded there for hours waiting on them. We informed them that they needed to return it to my workplace and they did after awhile. Never using this service or Toyota Marin again if we have another choice.
Excellent customer service...they answered all of my questions
My experience mirrors a previous one. A “Courtesy inspection” was advised since my service light was on. When I checked the car in, I was offered $700 tires and a $80 oil change, BEFORE the car was even fully inspected. I asked to hold off til we knew the full extent of what else might be recommended. The sales person seemed irritated and checked the box that said that the customer refused a courtesy car wash. (Never asked...but maybe it doesn’t come with a “courtesy inspection.”)Upon returning to the car an hour or so later, the service light was still on. I asked why that was the case, since the person on the phone told me that bringing it in for this appointment would solve the light issue. The clerk said they could not turn it off because I hadn’t allowed them to “service” it. (read: I had not purchased 2 new tires or done my oil change there.) So yes, similar to the previous review, don’t be fooled by the “courtesy inspection.” It’s a ploy to sell you and unless you comply, the service light will still remain on.This motivation was confirmed when I got a second opinion- a tire rotation was recommended above a new set of front tires. That’s a $680 difference. Got my oil changed elsewhere out of principle and they turned out my light, too...even though I did not buy new tires. This was my first and only experience with service here. Will avoid this place from now on.
I purchased a pre-owned 2017 Chevy Impala Premier here after searching around the Internet for the best deal. I was pretty specific on color, premium package, milage, year, etc. I saved over $1,000 compared to other car dealers. It was worth the trip from Sacramento. Dylan Robinson was a very professional sales consultant from the test drive through the paperwork and the final delivery. The detail shop did a nice job cleaning up the inside and out.
Update: While originally I had given 5 stars to this dealership (see below), Im now dropping it to one. Our family has purchased countless Toyotas, but this is my first and will be my last based on dishonest business practices. I came to this dealership with clear requirements in hand to meet our states tax incentive program for new PHEVs which were sent and discussed at least three times prior to signing the documents, and was continually assured it would not be an issue and that they were well versed in out of state sale procedures and document processing. Now that Ive purchased the vehicle and recently went to register it at our local DMV, Ive found out paperwork was handled incorrectly and weve been disqualified from our $5000 state incentive. Lee was apologetic as this was out of his area of knowledge, but Cathie a finance manager was extremely rude, short, and condescending from the first phone call. I appreciate that she reached out, but it quickly became apparent she had no desire (or ability) to help saying its not their job to know our states requirements. (While I agree with that, they did know the condition of the sale and were emailed direct links to each gov issued document stating requirements in black and white that wouldve taken less than five minutes to read.) She became defensive and insisted that it was my fault, changing tune multiple times throughout the call, and settled on my decision to purchase outside of our home state was to blame and if I had read the fine print, I wouldnt be in this position, to which I pointed out it plainly states vehicles need not be purchased in the state to qualify - something shed have known had she actually read the document emailed directly to her. I surely didnt buy a vehicle out of state for the fun of it and wouldve much rather purchased locally if a dealer had one in stock to save us both the headache. If what I was asking for was out of the realm of possibility, a quick phone call or email wouldve gone a long way - its all about expectation management. While I may not know the ins and outs of titling and documentation, as someone who works with it daily she sure did and was well aware but chose to make the sale instead of provide honest feedback to their buyers. (Additionally, weve spoken to multiple people whove purchased a vehicle the same way and had no issue claiming tax incentive when paperwork is handled properly.) Regardless, we are now out five thousand dollars but this dealership made their sale. Proceed with caution if youre in a similar situation. Theyll do whatever it takes to make a sale. I do still stand behind Lees communication, work ethic, and ability to secure the vehicle youre looking for.Lee Stafford was fast, efficient, and quickly secured the exact vehicle I came looking for rather than pushing something already on the lot like many other dealers did. Of the numerous dealers contacted, he made Toyota of Marin stand out in a positive light and took my intent to buy serious from day one which was much appreciated and earned our loyalty. We also appreciated his willingness to work with us as out of state buyers, and the dealerships ability to finalize the sale without requiring a physical visit. He promised a straight forward, smooth, and honest sale and he delivered exactly with an impressively fast turn around to boot. Lee went above and beyond to meet our needs at all times and it did not go unnoticed.
Christine Cilento was friendly, professional, helpful and most importantly trust worthy. Excellent no-pressure customer service. Although my desired vehicle was out of stock at the time of my visit Christine and the crew at Toyota Marin arranged to have one brought to the dealership so I could drive it away the same day. I cant say enough good things about Christine and Toyota Marin!
Miguel was very friendly, knowledgeable, and transparent. He made me feel relaxed and actually enjoy the process. I also really liked the webpage containing my quote. It was so easy to understand the different finance options and packages.
Came here looking for a car and even though I wasnt completely sure about purchasing the car yet, Luca was very helpful and was willing to answer my questions in such a kind manner. Great customer service.
My sales man was very respectable was trying everything to help me. The dealership itself is poor quality I was planning on going to buy a truck a few days prior... night before comes I get a text saying the truck was taken off the lot by a manager.. I don’t understand why they are taking cars off when they are trying to sell but no further questions can be answered either? I was also informed that this problem happens to often... so why not make a change? Very upset especially because I was willing to make a big commute to make a big purchase :(
Im consistently unhappy with the service from this place. I called and said my engine light was on and wondered if it could be something silly. Instead of asking me if my fuel lid was properly screwed on (which is one of the most common reasons for that light coming on) they got me coming in and paying the service fee for nothing. Another time I paid for a full service and they put air in my tires, and two days later I am getting alerts in my car that the wheels need to be switched. Today, I called for a spare part that they are charing $200 for, and on carparts its $24! Final straw, Im never going back there.
Service is quick but make sure they put your lug nuts back on.
I sold my truck to them 3/6/20 which was a great experience and was told I would receive my check 5-7 business days later. once they clear the title.. That never happened. I have left messages, been told they are working remotely etc, etc. I discovered that they did not pay off the loan in a timely manner so it accrued more interest and still owe$29.60. I was told last week by the manager that they are working remote yet I still have not received my$14k check!!!! I do not recommend selling your vehicle to them.
The service seemed ok, it was a customer who hit me on my bicycle as she was pulling out and then took off. After speaking with Chip I believe that I will be compensated, I await the proper results, I think I will contact an attorney, that is unless Toyota would like to handle this matter in house, one way or another I will have justice, the easy way or a lengthy and very very expensive way.Sincerely,David Sean CurreyP.S.Laying down I am in pain alot of pain.
We purchased a commercial van from them a few months back. I felt like they were a bit of a nickel and dime operation always trying to save a few dollars. For instance when we picked up the van it had enough gas to drive 21 miles. We requested commercial plates, paid for commercial plates, commercial plates are written all over the agreement. When we did not get the plates and asked for their help and they offered NONE. No I am sorry, let us fill out the correct form for you and you can send it in, NOTHING!
They did everything they could you get me into a car there is no hassle, I just picked what I wanted and they did the footwork... I highly recommend going to them..
Overall great experience. Sales representative got me the best deal possible and beat out all the completion for a great price.
The whole process was quick, I did not spend more than a couple of hours, everyone knew exactly what to do and they had access to all the tools required. A few folks were brought in to consult and I was given the entire information so that I can make the best decision. The financing department were super helpful. I would like to thank the employees who made it a wonderful experience for me and inspired confidence in the purchase. I would highly recommend anyone buying a used car to meet the folks at Marin Toyota, it doesnt get better than this.
Awesome dealership. I love the no hassle pricing. I contacted them through car gurus. They had the truck and contract ready when I showed up. Was in and out with my new truck in and out an hour.
Matt from the service department gave us EXCELLENT service, he was very knowledgable and attentive. I was so pleased with how thoughtful, efficient and wonderful the Toyota service team was in general. I will be bringing my vehicle back here for all services.Plus....a complimentary car wash.
Sonia and the Toyota staff gave me incredible customer service! I am extremely satisfied with their kindness and generosity! One of the best service dealerships Ive ever come across! Keep it going Toyota!
Jonathon kostka was very helpful about my car purchase. He went above and beyond!!! He did everything to help me out we were back and forth for a few days and literly I cannot express enough how much he did, because of him I purchased my dream car. I finally got my mini van for me and my family!!!!! He made it happen. My family are so excited for the new adventures will have. Thank you so much Jonathon for the help and taking your time out to help me out!!!! Your the best!!! You definitely got a customer forever hahahaha ahhh im so excited and happy thank you a million!!!❤❤🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
Everyone was amazing! These guys know their stuff and are patient in listening to your needs and working with you. Every step in the car buying process was such a smooth interaction, i felt like I was talking with old friends. Would highly recommend!
Absolutely the most courteous and helpful employees. The dealer that assisted me in purchasing my car (Keith) was professional and knowledgable. I would and have recommended him to my friends if their choice is to purchase a Toyota.
Normally have had good experiences here, but they really dropped the ball and wasted a ton of my day. Dealership reached out to me to offer a free inspection, I scheduled it and came in. Appointment was for 11am and when I arrived there were tons of cars stacked up. Went inside and waited around until about 11:15-11:20am and finally got helped. Was told itd take them about 2hrs to check things out. I asked if they had a vehicle I could borrow and they said no... Were at a car dealership... theres tons of cars around. I assumed half the reason they even reached out to offer me a free inspection was to try and sell me on trading in for a new car or at the least get me to pay them for some repairs. The guy said I could rent a car for $35 for the day and I figured I may as well since I was already there and the inspection was free. Then the guy checked and said the only car they had available was $60 a day... So I said forget it and left. Not sure whos to blame here... But if youre going to coordinate some effort to reach out to a local Toyota owner or a past client who has been in for servicing/inspections or bought something and offer them a free inspection, schedule a time for them, and then just say great, see you here with no other info... At the very least you could: 1) be more on-time so Im not waiting around 15-20min from my scheduled time and 2) have a car I can borrow for the 2hrs youre going to have me wait... OR have told me when you called me to solicit and schedule this inspection appointment that you dont have a car I can borrow and inform me on how long itd take so I couldve planned my time or declined altogether...Definitely wouldnt come back to this Toyota dealership.
Have had my tacoma for a little more than year ..i am a little hard to please!! but I still have fond memories of the great service .These people are the best period ....no other dealer can match their service
Didnt have to go to the dealer and negotiate. The discount that they offered on the car was good enough not to negotiate. I should have provided instructions on where to park my vehicle when it was delivered because my driveway is angled in a way that if you enter it directly without having the front wheel turned all the way locked, you can scrape the bottom bumper which happened when it was delivered. But that is a non issue as this car will get driven many many miles.Overall great experience. Would be a better experience if all the documentation was done electronically. And all they had to do was drop the car off. If you can utilize docusign or some type of esignatue process, the contactless buying experience would be even better.Overall great experience and Jonathan, the internet salesman was very helpful. Thank you
Flexible on working on the price. Sales Person Erick was good at proving the detail info on the vehicle we were interested on. Insisted for Test drive and mentioned the features in detail. Finance manager was good at providing is with all the available options. The whole process was done on time and very efficiently. Erick was really friendly and kept asking if they could do anything for our convenience.
I received brake job currently but didnt bring 15% mailed coupon, found it couple of days later, then I called to service manager and got the discount.
Great Exp
Reliable and professional. They definitely cost me more than any local professional Ive used, but they stand behind their work. They usually have a shuttle to pick me up and drop me off. It is great having that kind of convince.
Sales manager (George T) provided exceptional service, made the whole process smooth and painless 👍
We saw a Camry on display. Daniel was the salesman helping us. He took his time with no pressure at all to explain everything about that model. When we were sold, he was told by the manager that the price was 2k higher. We stayed with Daniel and started looking at other higher end Camrys. We got to the point when we were sold-again- with exactly the color and the price we wanted. Again, his manager told him the price was 1k higher. That was enough.Daniel went above and beyond his duty answering every question we had, even at off hours. This good review is specifically for an amazing salesman-not the dealer. I feel bad for him not making a sale he well deserved and I’m very sorry for that.We went to another dealer and are in the buying process. Cash, no financing.Great salesman, Bad dealership.
Paul Remollino was so incredibly helpful! Patient, warm, welcoming, clear, great communication, very supportive of helping me solve my issues and get my problems fixed on my 14-year old Scion! 4 stars because of pricing, 10/10 for Paul! Thank you!
Our sales representatives, Shah and Tyler, were both absolutely wonderful. They spent plenty of time with us and were enthusiastic and positive, but never created any pressure. They explained the vehicle and and all aspects of the sale clearly and in detail. It was great to see how the sales representatives worked together during a busy day to make sure that we were well cared for. Joshua in contracts was clear in his explanations and very joyful. It really was an enjoyable experience buying a car at Toyota of Marin.
Everything is expensive in Marin- besides Toyota of Marin. Very happy with my new Tacoma. Thanks to the sales here including Marvin.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Mr. Lee Stafford that helped me get my car was exceptional! He was an angel to work with and was willing to explain in great detail any and everything I wanted to know. Just an awesome first time car buying experience!
Not a typical pushy dealership, straight forward, sent me a reasonable offer right away so I didnt have to haggle price. Christian was honest and friendly.
I liked that the experience was very pleasant, quick, and easy. The person who helped me, Daniel Santos was very understanding to my needs in a new vehicle. He was very knowledgeable and let me know all my options before purchasing. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.
I am very pleased with my sales specialist Kalvin Car at Toyota of Marin! This is definitely not my first rodeo with a dealership. I truly appreciate his service!!!!! Not once has he tried to push any vehicles on me. He listens and sincerely cares about what I am looking for and need for my family. Speaking of that he is very good with my 3 children (all under 4 years old and very active)! He has been extremely patient, friendly and most of all THOROUGH! I still havent purchased a vehicle and is still assisting me with my search. Its been over a month since he reached out to me at Toyota of Marin. First dealer Ive ever had that truly deserves a big TEN!
This is by far the best auto mall I’ve ever been to. Really great customer service! One of the salesmen was really friendly and answered all our questions and fulfilled our requests when it comes to checking out different type of cars. His name was Bryle. The manager Derrell was really nice to us well. I’m definitely looking forward to going back here!! Thank you again!
Erick Campos sold me my second car! So happy and blessed. If you need a car come see him! He is so nice and understands what you want. Thank you!
I love my new Toyota Camry! Its all because of Rodger Eva at Toyota Marin. He gets five stars and a standing hand clap for being the best in sales, for his professionalism and wealth of knowledge on everything Toyota. Not to mention his keen wit and sense of humour (:
Bryle Ramos is really helpful and great for helping me buy the car, also Eric. They are great sales man. I would like to thank them. The financial person is little impatient when I said I do not need the additional contracts. Overall, the buying experience is good.
I recently purchased a car here from Charlie, and his adorable dog Lucy. I had been shopping used cars for awhile and found the car I was looking for here at a very competitive price. Charlie was no pressure, laid back, chill, and funny (Lucy was too). I was in and out with no haggling and no fussing around with hidden fees or dealer agendas! It was a fantastic buying experience. If you’re in the market for a used car, call and ask for Charlie (and Lucy... cutest dog ever).
Tony Chang was thorough, patient, knowledgeable, and provided a great experience for both my wife and I during the entire informational gathering, test drive, and purchase experience. On our purchase date, he stayed late while his daughter waited patiently for us to complete things and we never felt rushed. We even got to say hi to his daughter and made friends :) Would highly recommend him to family and friends.
I found a Toyota Prius online, at Toyota of Marin, preowned certified. I went to the Toyota Marin Dealership. And Greg Weiss a Sales Manager, took care of me completely. I was shown the Carfax with one owner & no accidents. I was given a Blue Book breakdown on what this Prius was worth on the market. And they showed me that this Prius was loaded with extras, and that they gave me a deal below the Blue Book price quoted. Overall it was an easier experience than Ive had before, when buying a used car. Not much pressure, friendly staff, knowledgeable salesmen, and Gregs easy going manner, made me very satisfied. Another Salesmen even came over after I had agreed upon the terms, and signed me up for a free $100 gift card from Amazon. Financing was easy, and very fair. Thanks Greg, & the staff at Marin Toyota, highly recommended!I Recently brought in my Certified Toyota Prius, that I purchased at this Dealership, that I thought had my best interest at heart. But when I brought my car for its 2nd service, 1) The part they had set up the appointment for, did not arrive, nor was I informed. So this made it a 2 trip service and hours of waiting, for nothing more, than a phone call to me, that never came. I still had the Oil changed & spark plugs. And had to make another appointment for the missing part.2) But worse than that, was when I got in my car, and noticed that my Windshield had been cracked. I immediately got ahold of the Service Agents and showed them this HUGE Crack. They agreed that it happened and were sorry. They offered to replace the glass and fix it. But then refused to put in a Certified Toyota Factory Glass as the one that was damaged. I contacted the Service Manager, and he wanted me to use my own Insurance, and pay the deductible $100. If I wanted a Factory Windshield. My Insurance Company was not happy, and nor was I. I tried contacting The MANGER of the Dealership, but was told I had to make an appointment, or leave a Voice Mail. I left a Voice Mail, and he never called back. The Service Manager did, but now says I must cracked the Glass on the way in to have it serviced? And the Crack grew across the windshield while they had it? And now still refuse to replace my glass with a Factory Windshield at a Toyota Dealership. Unacceptable! I now have to use my own Insurance and get a loaner car.Very upset with how they treat a customer who bought a car, and drives 30 minutes from his home to Service it regularly.Bottom line.....They dont want to give you a Toyota Windshield at a Toyota Dealership, and even when they accept responsibility, they turn around and say its your fault. 0 Stars would be given if I could!
The guy who helped me was amazing. Fast, on time and informative. Nice smile and Ina good mood. Came out to me both times to get my car and to tell me my car was done. This is the kind of person that makes a business Excell. Absolutely the best experience I have had there and I will say I have had some not so good experiences at that car dealership.
You guys made money. I got a fair price and the car I wanted. Everyone wins. Tony was great at lining up the sale. Carlos, while performing his duties well as the pitch man for extras, didn’t press me after I declined his offers. Best car buying experience I’ve had.
I had a great experience today with Erick Campos (Salesman) he was very professional, friendly and provided great customer service. Was not pushy at all what so ever and felt comfortable throughout my whole buying experience. I definitely recommend coming to Toyota Marin and going with Erick! You won’t regret it one bit, I had no problems with my transaction for my 2020 Toyota Corolla and all my questions were answered and I was given time & patience as a customer (guest). I Highly Recommended him to anyone coming through at Toyota Marin San Rafael Location!
