Its alright. Lowest rent available in town. Unit is descent, of course with flaws as there was male tenants last year. Maintenance guy has slowly been fixing it. People at the office are nice but they dont have much authority, and it seems we have changed management at least twice already since august. Its not student apartments but many are students. Roommate matching is totally a bummer. Unless you are moving in with your friends it can be difficult. I asked for no pets, first floor, older people, and was given the opposite. I was placed with 18 year olds when Im in my 30s, I already passed the party stage in my life. Right now I need my sleep lol. Theres no space to move, but I am not allowed to break the lease. Also, we were supposed to get keys to our rooms but havent received.
Apartment is decent enough, kitchen for a 4x2 is tiny, staff is always knocking on the door unexpectedly to do a “maintenance check” with no prior warnings so you never know who’s in your room invading your privacy when you’re gone, most staff is nice but we have put in multiple work orders for the same leak in our bathroom and it’s never really fixed. they charge you for trash even though you have to throw it yourself and the dumpsters are far away. many unexpected fees while transferring from a 4 bedroom to a 2 bedroom that they refuse to take care of even though we called prior to ask about charges and weren’t told about anything other than a $5 utility transfer charge and they are now trying to charge $200. it’s bad enough I’m paying for a 2x2 while still staying in 4x2 even though our lease started on the 1st but they won’t let us move in until the 9th, and they wanna add $200 more? i understand managing an apartment can be difficult, but they do nothing to accommodate residents
Wish i could give zero stars… wouldn’t recommend living here to anybody!!! they don’t care about their residents, are rude, and not helpful at all. be prepared to have your maintenance issues in for 3 weeks and nobody coming by to fix anything despite calling the office countless times and going to talk to them in person. i resigned here and would rather live anywhere else, no matter how many times they change management the staff at this complex never knows what they’re doing
Affordable place to liveTerrible grounds keeping with pets pooping everywhere and owners not picking up.Maintenance was decent at keeping up with work orders, you might have make multiple call sometimes. If you don’t have terrible roommates it’s a good place to live and save up. Having that gas station right there is really nice too!I did almost two years at the Junction and would do it again if I reallyyy needed too.*Im adding this new note but definitely keep receipts and pictures. Make sure you clean your carpets when you’re moving out or you’ll be charged to have them clean it themselves.
New management team members are dishonest and ignore old residents, they changed their billing and maintenance forms online and they are simply the worst
Absolutely disgusting and a terrible place to live. The Manager Shannon and her staff on check-in day were unprepared it was awful they started an hour late. They also did not clean apartments and will come up with excuses. furniture is out all around building three and it looks like a dump at this property you can tell no one there cares about their residents. Shannon saw the mold and the bathrooms and said its not mold that it is just black stuff. She lies about having cleaners clean. All of the staff their is very rude and on check-in day when we couldnt find the property manager all the staff said that they could not help because they are juststudents but then want to try and help when the property manager Shannon is around... absolutely rude do not waste your time!THIS PLACE DESERVES ZERO STARS!
Not good at all. Moved from a 4x2 to 3x3 apartment and the condition in both places are absolutely awful. My toilet is flooding and the apartment isn’t fully clean. The apartment needs to make sure people clean their stuff up before moving out so half this stuff wouldn’t be an issue. Also maintenance here seems slow and it’s honestly a pain. Highly don’t recommend any incoming students to move here. Not worth the cheap rent
The first time I walked in, the staff was very polite and very engaged. They showed me around the property and very lovely place. They have a nice volleyball court, spacious pool, and gym with plenty of machines and weights and even video instruction exercise that you can follow along. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to live!
They mistaken my room letter. And I asked to fix it with the correct letter ( which is Room A) said it didn’t matter the room letters. So then time to when I moved out comes along and I get charged for a mattress that was missing when in fact mine is still there. And my roommate who was staying on room B (place where the mattress was missing), REQUESTED to have no mattress. So everything that happened on room B was in fact under my roommates fault and not me and yet I get to be charged 🙂Also the place was infested with cockroaches.
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. this place is absolutely disgusting, management is neglectful. every single building has a mold infestation and a roach infestation. Management will deny to your face that there is mold. None of the apartments were move in ready. The health department needs to shut this place down. You have to do everything yourself. 4x4 was not ready. My toilet was coming out of the floor. Water damage everywhere. Plumbing was horribly messed up. There is a pungeant odor coming from our shower drain. It smells like something died in there. no amount of chlorine, bleach, vinegar or draino will fix it. the junction is the worst place I have ever stayed.
I hate this place. Lost my packages in the mail. You put in a maintenance request and they come weeks later. The washing machine ruined all my clothes. Hidden fees for the worst place ever do not rent here you’ll regret it, I know I do
My gf lives here and I visit every now and then and she tells me how bad it is. Maintenance requests taking 1 month to be resolved, roaches in the shower, lost packages, shady/unorganized management; Giving it two stars cuz its cheap but please find anywhere else.
The crew that works here Fidel, Martin, Thomas do an excellent job at fixing things around the complex in a timely manner as well. If the sun is out these guys are fixing something. This place would be pretty close to debris without them. They genuinely seem to care about the community and the individuals who reside here.
If you want to have a nice place to live, with working appliances, clean environments, responsible management, hard/ fast working maintenance and an overall enjoyable home. I STRONGLY suggest choosing LITERALLY anywhere else in San Marcos. This place is a complete joke and no one should live here. My apartment kept losing its A/C several times throughout my stay. At one point we didn’t have A/C for a full week. In 95° degree Texas weather that is literal hell. Whenever maintenance came to fix something it would only be a temporary fix and the problem would reoccur in about a week.
Very great. Nice and cool employees. Cool rates.
For student living this is a great complex. As someone who moved into town and didnt have a great experience with a previous complex, Ive come to really like this place. The room sizes are good, the complex itself has a great gym and pool, its never crazy loud. The staff is always so nice and ready to help with whatever is going on. Its also the last stop for the tram so if youre running late the tram wont take long! Its a good place if youre a student with a busy schedule.
Great location! I really appreciate the complexs proximity to the Texas State Campus. Additionally, the events hosted by the Junction staff are excellent. They baked muffins for the whole complex during the semester and it really brightened up my day!
Great apartment, only minuets from campus! Very spacious bedrooms with balconies in each unit. The front office staff is a very friendly and super helpful!
Im regretting moving into this apartment(THE JUNCTIONAPARTMENT SAN MARCOS TX), before I fill their application last year 2020 I went through their review, i saw reviews that they dont care about their residents, but I over look it and still fill the application and lease, and Im regretting it now. So last year I signed my second lease from August 2021-July 2022 for (3×3 unit) because I like the apartment. January 2021 I told them I want to move into their (2×2 unit) they said moving fee is $200, I told them Im OK with that, they said they will get back to me and they never did. on February 2021 I went to their office, I met Cielo(I think she the current leasing manager now) she said their 2x2 unit is full, she will call me back if any space comes out, from February to beginning of May 2021 they keep saying the same thing. Mid-May I told my friend to call them and ask them if their 2×2 lease is open because she want to move in with me, the person that picked said yes that my friend can come in for tour that day, so I went with my friend to their office( I think they know my face ) so they changed everything, that they never said that 2x2 unit lease is open that what they told my friend was 4×2 lease is open, so Cielo said she can put us on waiting lease for 2×2 lease. Cielo called me back 2 weeks after, that they have one space open but I have to get someone to take over my 3×3 lease before they can move me to their 2×2 unit, I told her Im not moving out I just wants to transfer to their 2×2 why do I have to get someone to take over my lease, she said is their policy. Around May 27th Cielo called that they have this new plan called (super 2) that is 4×2 unit but my friend and I will stay in that unit no other roommates, and they will lock the remaining 2 rooms, she now said I dont have to bring someone that will take over my 3×3 lease again, I called my friend and told her she wasnt okay with that and the price was little high too, my friend said she is not interested. I called Cielo the next day and told her what we concluded on, then I ask her do have to bring someone to take over my 3×3 lease if they see space in 2×2 she said YES. Till today June, 23, 2021, they refused to change my unit from 3×3 to 2×2. Im tired of calling them. I didnt see anyone that will take over my 3×3 lease. they dont care about their residents, if you sign their lease you are on your own. I have been begging them to move me from 3×3 to 2×2 since January 2021, they dont care about us. But their maintenance is good. is so frustrating 😫 and stressful.
DO NOT SIGN HERE. Terrible place to live and does not care about their residents what’s so ever. I would definitely give this complex 0 stars if it was possible. The rooms and apartments in general are overall trashy, dirty, and almost everything is broken. The junction also waited to the very last second to get a water issue fixed, we have had ZERO water for over a week. They have not sent out updates, helped their residents or do anything what’s so ever to get the issue fixed. Whatever you do, do not sign here. I recommend living in a cardboard box before living here.
10/10 I’ve lived here since May and they respond very quickly to all of my maintenance concerns not to mention they have excellent customer service! Just today my truck needed a jump start and Thomas quickly helped me out, he’s super friendly and I appreciated it so much!
I am so over this complex. Unless you cannot find anywhere else to live.. I wouldn’t recommend living here. I am under the impression that there is a new manager who somehow I haven’t gotten a chance to speak with despite calling and asking to talk to her numerous times. Instead, I have been delivered messages via workers I did not ask to speak to, or my roommates. Am I not on my own lease, paying my own rent? This game of telephone is unprofessional. You have to beg to get things done, beg to speak with management, beg for your questions to be answered... smh... Checkout the heights or castle rock!! Near the same price range and I bet you’ll have less of a headache and a better living experience.
Picture yourself as a 19 year old signing a lease that begins about more than half a year later, not knowing a PANDEMIC would take place. Let me repeat that, A PANDEMIC!!! With classes going online, I’m sure many people including myself don’t see a reason in moving (especially those of us who live 9 hrs away) for ONE TO ZERO CLASSES in person. I understand there are contracts we have to abide by, but at least an option to cancel our lease would suffice at this point. I rather pay once to cancel my lease, than to pay rent for an apartment I won’t even be living in. Once again, none of us signed a lease thinking there would be a pandemic. The only option obviously would be to sublease but, I’m sure many other people are having the same issue.
It’s great and i love the environment that i live in and the price is great for such an enormous room!!!! the junctions office is also very sweet!
I’ve been putting off making this post for a couple months now, in hopes that my experience living at the junction would truly improve. This is my 2nd year here. I was so excited to renew my lease because I felt as if management was always available & prompt in terms of tending to our tenant needs. Coincidentally, at right about the same time we renewed, management also changed. Since this switch, our maintenance issues go weeks without being addressed. When we call to ask for something as simple as communication regarding our maintenance issues, all the staff does is point fingers & make excuses. We have not been able to do laundry for THREE WEEKS now. All of a sudden, you have to call upwards of ten times to get a hold of someone working in the office. Staff seems to not care in the slightest & not once have we even gotten an apology for the inconveniences, or reassurance that our requests haven’t been swept under the rug. If you want to live in a quality apartment where things aren’t always breaking & the staff at least pretends to care & takes some form of accountability, live elsewhere.
If you are looking for a place to stay in San Marcos I would not recommend the Reserve at West Avenue. For starters the first week we moved in the sink wouldn’t drain, disposal wouldn’t work and when the dishwasher was ran the sink would flood with water and almost flooded the apartment. They came and fixed it after 2 weeks of us calling and putting in multiple maintenance requests since to them “it wasn’t a priority.” About a few weeks ago I had a wet soggy carpet in my room by the ac unit. Turns out the ac unit was leaking in the walls through the carpet and coming up. Guys took about a week to come. When they came they changed the filter looked inside said they’d come back after lunch and lift up the carpet and use a blower to dry everything out. Also was told they would monitor it for mold. They never came back. My floor is now mildewing and so are the walls. The washer and dryer stopped working last week. Took 4 days for them to come. When they came was told that they stopped working because the machines aren’t set up right and is clogged with lent. Also that our vent is not connected to anything but it is venting into out Apartment. Was told this was so the unit did not catch on fire. Was then told that if it happened again before there was a fire to call so they could install a vent in the walls to outside. The disposal began to flood once again but I was able to personally fix that. Was supposed to have floors done on the week of 10/8 but lack of communication and them showing up my floors won’t be done till maybe next week after moving furniture around my apartment 3 times. The windows do not stay open and will slam shut. Anything in the way may result in major injury. Put in a maintenance request for the light on my patio to be fixed because it does not work. Got a email that the order was complete but light still doesn’t work. The ice maker today began acting funny and was flooding the tray with water before we shut it off. The air conditioner is not working properly as of yesterday. A few of the outlets in the kitchen have stopped working as of 3 days ago so our microwave is in our living room. My roommates blinds fell off the wall about an hour ago because they weren’t properly installed.*********************************************************************UPDATE AS OF 12/2/17Some of the issues that were stated above have been addressed to a certain extent. Our current problems include a molding closest that was supposed to be repaired. The mold was addressed and the walls that were effected were removed. However after the entire process was done drying and ready to be repaired the same problem occurred. The leak still exists and again flooded the area that was supposed to be fixed. The floor was recently replaced in all of the units but took 6 rescheduling times to actually get done. The brand new flooring that took so long to be put in is now coming up in multiple places throughout the apartment. Also while the floors were being redone the team took our personal broom. The team also broke our ice maker in our freezer after shoving their personal items in the ice itself. When we tried to address these issues we were shooed away as if we were a nuisance. I was also told that these issues would be done whenever they get to it. After multiple maintenance requests and asking to speak to the manager of the complex 3 weeks have gone by with no action. I was told that they would replace my broom, send someone into the apartment to look at the mold and fix the problem and that maintenance would be out to fix my ice maker. I was also told that the broom was already being ordered through staples and that it should be here shortly, 2 weeks ago. It has now been about 3-4 weeks with no broom, ice and a reoccurring mold problem. At all costs do not live here. I pay $615+ to live in a horrible run place that does not care about the living conditions of their tenants at all. New management or not I would not recommend living in this nightmare of a place.
Really like living at the Junction so far. My roommates are awesome and my room is super cozy.
Maintained pool and landscape. Clean environment. Apartments are alright. Recently remodeled rooms. Staff is nice and helpful. However some items such as faucets lack maintenance, partially broken and not fixed yet. Room door takes a little finesse to close properly.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Maintenance is very on point when needed to repair or fix any issues or concerns. The location is awesome. With just minutes away from HEB and Golds Gym. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and safe environment to live in.
I have lived here for over 2 years and this place has been amazing! The community manager and front desk staff are wonderful and nice. The maintenance guys are super friendly and quick to stop and fix things. There’s also a great gym and yoga studio. This place is amazing!!!
Great place to live! My daughters apartment is very spacious and the staff works hard. Definitely some bumps along the way but they are trying to make it better. Easy on the parents pockets as well!
I love y’all these apartments strongly recommend💯✊🏾
This is a great apartment to live in. The staff is very attentive and accommodating with a great maintenance crew. We put in a work order with the front office and a within 24 hours they came in and fixed the issue. The apartments are well built with great noise insulation, we almost never hear the neighbors and when we do it’s very faint. I would definitely recommend living here to others!
Came to this location looking for housing for my daughter We were super tired from a long day of tours. Spoke with Mackenzie and she gave us a renewed energy just from talking to her. She was very knowledgeable and informative. My daughter is EXCITED to be moving into this location because of her. When you go for a tour at The Junction ask for Mackenzie, she is very honest and polite.
Nice place to live but some of the rooms are super small.
Great place to live! Never had issues with the apartments and if I did it was worked on immediately. Nice and quiet everyday. My random roommates were good people. Got a new washer and dryer. Fixed my shower in a day. Moved in the same day, they saw I was in a hurry and got me my keys and my place within 3 hours. Renewed my lease for a second year because of my good experience. No crazy news or crimes like other places around town. Freshly mowed lawn once a week. Clean up any littering making sure the place looks good. Good new roofs which looks nice. Towing enforced which is good to keep unfamiliar cars away.8/01/18*** Bright lights at night👌👌👌*****It will be nice if they cleaned the hallways outside the apartment units. It was done once the whole year, if done more often would really make this place look sharp every time*****
Great staff!!! Couldn’t be happier!! One team member went above and beyond, her name was Kelly. She was very patient and helpful! Gave me all the information I needed to make the move an ease. You don’t see this type of customer service with a purpose anymore!!!
I recently toured The Reserves because I am highly interested in signing. The staff was extremely friendly and we were assisted as soon as we arrived. We viewed the 4 bedroom 2 bathroom model apartment and I was highly impressed. The furniture that comes with the apartment is suitable and the rooms are a nice size. We received a tour of the pool area, business room, and fitness area. All of which appeared to be nice, they also had an interactive area with technology that provides a new spin on working out. I enjoyed the tour but, above all the bus ride to and from The Reserve was great and not to far from campus.
Great complex!! Kelly was awesome!! She was extremely helpful and patient with me. She took her time and made sure all my questions were answered. Highly recommend!!
My experience here started off really rocky. When I moved in, the apartment had so many things wrong but the manager called and ask us to stay next year. We told her that we didn’t want to because of all the problems. She took time to come walk through the apartment. They were able to fixed everything. I am very happy now!
The staff at the front desk is great and easy to talk to. Always willing to answer questions. I love that they prepare events for students to meet and even make new friends. Location wise its great, a lot of food places nearby and HEB is just down the street. The bus stop by the front area makes it really convenient for students who dont feel like driving to school today or dealing with finding a parking spot. While some things do tend to break from time to time, the maintenance team is quick to respond, while keeping you informed on the progress of placed work orders. I also love that maintenance staff is on call. So if you get yourself locked out of your apartment, all you have to do is give them a ring and they will help you out. The apartments are very spacious and well furnished. I would definitely recommend this place to friends or new freshmen starting out in the fall.
This place has really turned around. They’re doing a lot of construction this month which is kind of hard to work around but the new roofs might make my electricity bill better. They also said they’re doing new lights outside which is cool.
Quality apartment for a extremely low price at that.
I had an amazing experience with James Chapple. He gave a very informational tour of the property. Which gave overall insight to considering living in this space for next semester. Also, He helped get everything as far as prices and layouts into the price point I was ultimately considering. If you would like to take a tour use James hes the BEST! Thanks again for everything James.
I toured the reserve recently because of my interest in signing off. The staff were very friendly and we were helped as soon as we arrived. We viewed the 4 bedroom 2 bathroom model apartment and it was very nice. The apartment was fully furnished with nice furniture and was recently renovated. We toured the model apartment, the fitness room, and the pool area, all of which seemed very nice. Also they had a bus stop right outside that was very convenient and went straight to campus.
I recently toured the Reserves and I loved it!!! It was a very nice facility and included all the necessities a college student needs like a bed to sleep and a kitchen to eat. I LOVE THE FITNESS AREA! There is a digital workout area where you can workout with an instructor via a television and that is the best thing ever!!! This place is great!

Im rather unsatisfied with the complex! Here is what I have an issue with: The mattress by itself is uncomfortable and so are the wooden chairs in the room to sit in for long periods of time. My sliding closet door falls off the hinges constantly, my bed frame is new but a good 8 inches too long and takes up usable space, management DID NOT check the apartment when I moved in either. We had mold and a dryer issue which did get fixed in a reasonable time. Maintenance works really hard, but it may take some time to get around depending on the volume of orders placed. My room was also extremely dusty so I spent the first few hours moving here just cleaning. The ceiling/floors are super creaky and I can hear my upstairs neighbors constant stomping, loud music, and conversations all day and night! I was told me and my long-term boyfriend would be placed in a co-ed hallway so we may share a bathroom! IT DID NOT HAPPEN! They said we would be separated by gender which I was fine with since we were in the same apartment. HOWEVER, on moving day we find out that they put us in separate co-ed hallways anyway and did not even tell us. I also never received roommate info until I called specifically to get their emails 2 weeks after i called. My roommates are nice!
New edit: they changed management frequently after this post. I didn’t enjoy my last 6months there.. it’s a college town so my best advice is don’t let them step on you.Great location, front desk has always been great!! Not only do they know my name but they know my DOGS name. (Very dog friendly) I always recommend to a friend
Back in January my family and me toured the Reserve and it was amazing. Seeing all of the amenities they have and the amount of space for a cheaper rent was fantastic! All of the other places we had toured were too expensive, but the Reserve was perfect. The pool, the workout space they have, and the best part is that they are super pet friendly! I have a little Jack Russell, Jasper, and I know he will love living on the property especially with the dog park they have there! I look forward to being able to start my junior year in San Marcos and cant wait for this next chapter.
The reserve at west avenue is doing a great job from the office staff to the management. Keep up the good work! The office staff is very friendly and courteous and helps me out when I need help. The maintenance workers tend to each work order that I submit in a timely manner. I cannot wait till all of the upgrades are done! So excited!!!
Christi and the new management team are amazing. Ive lived here for 4 years and have not wanted to move from here since living in San Marcos. The maintenance staff could use some work, but with the renovations made to this apartment complex, make waiting for certain things worth while.
The Junction is great! The office staff is so friendly and David has always been great when helping me out with my maintenance requests. You can tell Briana truly cares about her residents and I love that!
Living Here has been the worst experience of my entire life. The staff are sweet, but stupid. The managers avoid speaking to you. They don’t resolve issues promptly. And their utility service provider has been in several lawsuits for breaking the law and overcharging customers.
Had a great experience here with the maintenance team. They handled my work orders quickly and the maintenance supervisor David was very friendly and informative. Great place and would definitely recommend!
I first signed a lease here in 2017 and haven’t looked back. I absolutely love these apartments! They’re clean, noise free, and the staff is amazing. I’ve come into contact with Bree in the office and she is always trying to make everyone’s day. I really like living here and would recommend it to anyone moving to a San Marcos. Students and families!! 5 stars
I recently toured the reserves in hopes of finally signing a lease and I wont regret signing here. There is an excellent staff who works there and are very friendly. We toured the 4x4 apartments and everything was nice about them, they also come with new appliances and great furniture. The pool and fitness center were very nice along with the new fitness on demand room where u get to pick your workout on a big screen and follow along. My experience was great!
The Junction is by far the best place to live in San Marcos. The staff always greets you warmly and is ready to help with whatever you need! Christi is always super helpful and easy to talk to!
The old management was HORRIBLE and tried to scam residents, BUT the new management is soooo much better. apartments are a little dingy up close, but maintinence is much more prompt about fixing things now. the apartments also have a nice overall appearance, a big dog park, well lit parking lot, decent sized visitor parking, etc. apartments are spacious and have a great layout for minimal sounds from neighbors and roommates. I had three roommates and never had any issues with them being too noisy.I also had a few damages on my wall at move out and they did not over charge me as that previous management probably would have.overall, a positive experience with the new management, that makes a huge difference.
We were being temporarily housed in the junction while waiting for haven to be finished with construction, and in my first 3 days of my temporary 3 weeks living here Ive had 10 reasons to never want to live here. First off. The leasing center staff (a black woman in particular) rude as hell. Leaks in the ceilings, molding in bathrooms is falling apart, mold everywhere, fire alarms dont work (2 of them have been ripped out completely. Pretty sure thats illegal. Calling the fire marshal in the morning.) Wish I could leave -5 stars.
I dont usually give reviews, but today I felt compelled to give this review about my experience at The Reserve at West Avenue. I was very impressed with a number of things including spacious apartments, nice furniture, a very nice gym and even a tanning booth just to name a few. The cost for rent is very reasonable, and all bills are paid except electric. Lastly, the person that helped us (Hakema) was extremely nice and very helpful! Needless to say, I will be living there next fall.
I recently visited The Reserve and let me just say that Im very excited to have signed my lease here! The staff is very kind, the residents are pretty laid back, the apartments are pretty great, and the prices speak for themselves!! Cant wait for August to get here!
Went into to check the place out as a possibility for next school year. The guy who helped us was so friendly and thorough and the complex is beautiful at a very fair price. Slightly disappointing that the 4 br only has 2 baths but is definitely something that can be worked around. All in all seems like a great place and will probably be living here next year.
Place is great location and the people in the front are so willing to work with you. Especially Payton, Kylee, Deja are extremely helpful and nice no matter what is going on. Also the bus route is really quick and gets to campus with no issues. Highly recommended!!!!
Staff is always friendly and they remember my name and apt number when I come to the desk. They always try to be as helpful as possible.
Solid location, affordable price, and very nice gym. Maintenance repairs can take a bit of time, if you dont bug them. Overall, not a bad place to live. The new renovations are also pretty cool. 45 minute walk from campus, but theres a bus stop right outside my door thats very convenient.
I can’t wait to live here! Mackenzie gave me an amazing tour and was very helpful through the signing process. Anytime I had a question she was glad to help. If you stop by for a tour be sure to ask for her!
One of the best experiences I’ve had roommates are great and the amenities are nice. I enjoy living here and am excited for next year
I love living here! Never had any problems and the community is amazing, definitely a great place to live. If you ever need help or have any questions talk to Kylee in the office. She is so sweet and helpful!
Very happy to have my son moving here in August. The front office answers all my questions and helps me understand the process.
The place is pretty affordable compared to other options. The staff is nice and theres the occasional event where residents can get prizes or food. Over all pretty chill place. Not too fancy.
I visited these apartments recently and had a great experience through my tour. These apartments have everything you need and more for a great value. It has a beautiful pool, gym, work out videos, and a business area. The rooms were great and I found out that a four bedroom is fully furnished, which makes for a easy move in.
DO NOT MOVE HEREI did not have AC for months before they finally fixed it after 10 attempts and me following up daily!! Moved into a 90 degree apartment...The 5 star reviews are most likely from people trying to get their free gift cards from the office as you can see the recent reviews are all a well deserve 1 star and only talk about their which is not anything like what I moved into.I filed a work order for my drier washer a month ago and followed up several times and they promised everyday they would come. Well today my washer machine started leaking on the floor so :)I have not had a door to my laundry room because it fell off and almost hit my room mate, but I guess its too much to expect a door to be put on after a month of following up. Or even a cabinet for that matter. To get anything done around here you must follow up at least 10 times and it may not even be done right! I am not exaggerating on this at all.Front desk is nice!! In fact they are GREAT(maybe they should be running the show haha) but behind the works nothing gets done. DO NOT SIGN.
The best part of this place is the staff. They are so helpful! Definitely worth it to stay here.
Cant seem to keep any management for more than a year, and always screws us over in many ways1) on more than one occasion lost our money orders for rent, was not accommodating for their mistake and refused to give us a receipt to prove they received it2) whats maintenance? Id never know because when our dryer and washer broke, wed put in many requests to come look at and hopefully fix it for 6 months and little to no response about it. (Still broken by the way.) Or when we had a power outage that left more than half our outlets not working and we cant do anything but wait for the maintenance guy to come, but apparently the police were looking for him, so thats cool.3) Ive heard of like, $11 convince fees to pay rent with card, but $20 extra for paying the rent with a card because I cant trust you to keep a money order? Thats insane.
From the beginning, this place was not livable. I moved into a mosquito infested apartment that didnt get fixed until it got too cold for mosquitoes to live. They were there due to a leak in my roommates bathroom that took them months to start work on.maintenance is constantly in your apartment fixing SOMETHING and they respond slow to requests. The reason I say maintenance will always be in your apartment if your move here is because there is always something that is broken or needs to be fixed. Also they removed the washer and dryer doors and never put them back even though my roommate has requested that they be put back on. Management fails to communicate effectively when it comes to rent issues and when maintenance will be in my apartment.UPDATE: my utilities for February was super high and they were supposed to pay for them for me that month but they never told me that and I would not have known if it wasnt for my roommate finding out through our neighbor. Then they gave her the money back and said they would do it for me as well but they didnt. So then I went into their office and asked them to the friday before spring break and they said they would get it taken care of by the end of the day. It is now 3/18/18 (Sunday after spring break) and it has NOT been done. I wonder how many other people are owed money on their utilities from this place...
I absolutely love this place! So many amenities! Briana is so amazing! She’s always very helpful, very kind, and very professional! I HIGHLY RECOMEND LIVING HERE!!!
Lived here for the 2018-2019 school year. Super affordable and nice rooms. Definitely would recommend living here!
GREAT workers in the office. They are really accommodating and their CA Deja was very nice!
The apartments are in poor condition. Maintenance doesnt fix the maintenence request unless you call and complain to management. The worst apartment I have ever stayed in.
I went to the Reserve just to see if i would like it, and i love it. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Their prices are affordable and the facilitates are nice. I do not currently live at the reserves but hopefully in the fall I can stay here.
Do not sign here. The junction (name will probably be changed after this fiasco) has found a new way to suck money out of students by slapping us with a water and sewage bill. They really think we are going to pay for their incompetency to cover the water like they have previously. Then sending out a payment plan to pressure residents into agreeing to pay the backed bills. Truly a scam, wish I could rate lower than one star. Thank God I did not renew.
Visited my niece with my wife this past weekend. HORRIBLE. Do not sign here, don’t let your friend sign here, don’t let your children sign here, don’t let your neighbor sign here. This place is an ultimate death trap! Zero Lighting at night. With the amount of crime going on in San Marcos, you’d think they’d have some kind of sense of safety. WRONG! AC doesn’t work for months. Maintenance takes forever to fix things. The tour was nice when we came by last year...but living here is a complete 360! There’s mold growing in my nieces roommate’s Unit. Yes, MOLD! That has been there for months. You’d think that a proper managed apartment complex would check these things monthly. Wrong! The office makes them put in work orders over and over. After they come in and “fix” things. The office was very rude when asked about towing! When they DO NOT! Have enough parking/visitor parking ratio! So if you want to keep your car, don’t EVER visit The Junction. I have no clue what happened to the place, but it’s ridiculous! From Move-In to Move-out! Do NOT BE FOOLED AND SIGN A LEASE HERE! Zero Stars for Safety! 2 Stars for Maintenance and 3 Stars for Office Staff. My daughter has yet to even meet the new management team because they hide behind their emails! If managers worked on weekends they would’ve gotten an earful! I’ll be back to visit and I guarantee there will still be MOLD, NO EXTERIOR LIGHTING, and who knows maybe another ILLEGAL BILLING.
Are the tours the only good thing about this place? Is it because its a model apartment? Interesting how the reviews change after you have signed a lease.and are moved in. ????? Not sure if this is where my daughter should move into.....
This is my second year of living at The Junction and it has been great! I really love all the activities they have for the residents & the amenities we have. The best thing about it, is the super nice and helpful workers they have. In particular, Ms. Kylee Kopriva, every time I have a question or need help with anything she is so incredible with helping me out and answering all the questions I have. I can say that she goes far and beyond to make sure that she has helped me with all I need. She is also very fast to provide me with her service, and super kind.
The Reserve at West has the best amenities for the best price, and is incredibly pet friendly. The dog park is the second largest in San Marcos, and you can check out fun toys for your pets at the front desk. Everyone in the front office is always very welcoming, and tries to know you by your first name. Plus maintenance is FANTASTIC, they always come at most 24 hours after I submit a work order.
I just moved in this past year and so far everything has been great compared to the last place I lived at. My apartment came furnished and all the furniture was in great condition. The couch even still had the tags on it. I love that I dont have to set up my own electricity and stuff, its all paid for by the apartment, except if you go over the cap, which is fine. I had a few issues on move in day but the office helped me get everything taken care of and even sent the manager to fix what I needed.THEY GYM IS AWESOME!! They have tons of free weights and a squat rack which no one else has. Thats the main reason I leased. Staff is pretty cool too and they have done a lot of free food since i got here!. Definitely going to renew as soon as I can
Care for community members, friendly office staff.convenient location, good size rooms and living room, kitchen full equipped, furniture in.
The staff is very nice and helpful. Made the stay at the Junction worth it.
Good experience so far. Only temporary place to sleep while Haven finishes but still nice place.
After all the updates I love it even more! The Maintenance staff is fast & friendly. The staff is always helpful when a direct-check issue - after paying my bills on time for my 3 years here, if there is ever a late see - they take great care of me :)
The first person to help me move in on a tight schedule was Kylee at the front office! Now every time I go into the office, I always look for Kylee! She’s literally the most helpful person who goes above and beyond to help out.So far, she’s made living here easier for me because she always has answers to any questions or concerns I have.
Great place! Excited to move in this year.
I have lived here for several years and I have never seen as much positive change as there is now. Every since they changed to the new manager in August you can tell they really care about their residents. I had such a long list of things in my apartment that I did not even care to put them in because no one would come out. Now they came to my door and asked what I needed done and actually did it. I recommend living here! It’s a quiet community as well. So no loud parties or annoying neighbors.
All in all my living experience here has been great. Ive been here during the management switch and I cant really complain. If you pay your rent on time and arent a nuisance the staff is really nice. There are only a few things that make me somewhat aggravated.1. In my apartment we have one of the oldest washers/dryers Ive ever seen. Its loud and hard to get around. If you drop something behind it, dont even think about retrieving it, nearly impossible. The washer and dryer also frequently have issues. They are doing a lot to change the place and make it look nice, I think new washers and dryers to replace the old ones would be a great step.2. We received a new microwave for our new equipment renovation. The microwave wasnt fitting underneath the cabinets due to the fact that we have a handicap unit. Anyways, we asked for a replacement that would fit under the counter. Instead of giving us a similar model at a smaller size we receive a tiny microwave. I like to bake and cook and a microwave is essential in doing so. I just wished that they wouldve given us something a little bigger to work with.Other than that I would say this property is good to live at. They just got new workout equipment and a new computer room. The computer room isnt open after hours anymore so if you like to do homework late at night and print or study in their rooms, save it for during their open hours. The staff is nice. The new manager seems like she know what shes doing and gives me hope for this property. The owners have a gold mine here. I just wish they didnt cut corners and made some of their amenities available during late hours.
The Junction has made some improvements my time living here. They just got a new management staff that has been doing fairly well. One thing that needs to be worked on is maintenance. Not that the guys are doing a bad job, its just taking them a lot of time to get things done. The people in the office are super friendly and helpful when something is wrong. Ivana G always makes sure that I am taken care of and makes sure to update me on things regarding our apartment.
Great move-in experience. I am excited to live at The Junction!
For starters, the front staff (Mario, James, and the new girl) is amazing but this place (Management) needs major help. It first started off with them pairing me with someone that has an animal when i specifically said NO animals in my preference and still got paired with one, how does that happen, does me filling out the preference not matter but not just me all of my other roommates put that too!! the only solution was transferring us out and a $200 charge. Then my shower was broken for A WHOLE WEEK because they tried being cheap by having their people come and fix it first (they left it worse than they found it) and not bring in professionals until 4 days later! When the contractors came on Tuesday it was fixed THAT DAY! now why did it take that long for them to call them? Next, I filed many complaints (by mouth in the office) about the animal scratching and damaging furniture that I WILL NOT pay for when I move out. Yesterday I went to the office because I found out that my roommate is getting ANOTHER cat and I dont want to live with another cat so the staff (Mario and the new girl) told me that they could see and talk to Brianna about trying to stop the process at least until next leasing. They also showed me in the lease where her animal is NOT supposed to roam around free it specially says the animal is supposed to be in a cage at all times! The next day when I went to talk to Brianna she didnt even know it stated that... how is that possible and youre the general manager ?! The most she could do was send an email she said. How is that also possible, one apartment complex has a signed agreement that ALL residents are okay with the animals, why cant the junction have that ?! They didnt even notify us when she added the first cat to the lease, I was notified the week of move in BY THE RESIDENT. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! Take your money else where. And lastly, there are no lights at night !! it is a danger zone, law suit just waiting to happen.- xoxo Nae
My daughter lives here and I had a lot of questions on move in day and Deja was very helpful in answering all of them 👌🏽
Such a friendly and comfortable environment to live in! The inside is spacious and modern, up to date and very clean. Also, the location is perfect... around everything. Would 10/10 recommend.
