Straight forward pick up of the rental car. Helpful staff and very pleasant.Just be aware if youve not been to Avis at LAX for some time the collection desk has moved within the lot.
Experience was terrible. Had a derivation at a certainties and the employee was 30 min late. Then the employee gave me keys to wrong car. Then disappeared for another 30+ minutes. This Is terrible and it sucks because it’s my first time trying out this company. Now it’s my last!
Very good customer service. I like renting from the Avis at Embassy Suites because I always get good service with a smile. Great, efficient, affordable rentals. I always rent from this local Avis, have been renting cars here for over 10 years. Never disappointed. Great place! Nice staff.

If I could give a zero I would! The lady inside of the Embassy suites Avis rental company, rented me a car that smelled like marijuana and had handprints all over it it was filthy. I told her about it she made me drive all the way over to the airport location and get my own car, which took about an hour. The next day I took it back and hour later and she charged me for a full day. She yelled at me, she was horrible and I will never go back to this company ever again and I strongly recommend that you don’t either. I get it times are tough during Covid, but come on lady just giving me a dirty car and then charging me for it is inexcusable!

Will need a credit card not a debt card for $250 keep that in mind. Many people couldnt get a rental because of this.

Defective cars, 0 stars!I rented a car October 19 - 31 in San Luis Obispo, CA. While I was driving about 30 miles to my hotel late at night, the tire pressure warning light came on. I had business meetings for the next couple of days and wasnt able to deal with this defective car except to air up the tires. Only one tire was low, and I aired it up a total of 3 times before I had time to swap the car during their business hours. I needed roadside assistance because I was afraid to drive the 30 miles back to the airport on a bad tire. I explicitly asked Avis if I would be charged for the assistance and the agent said no charge. If the agent had told me there would be a charge, I would have used the other roadside assistance plan that I have.On October 31 when I was going to return it, the second car refused to start -- also defective. Again, I called for roadside assistance, again I asked if this would be charged to me, again the agent said no.Roadside assistance took so long to get to me the second time that I missed my 12:30 p.m. flight, the last departure of the day. I called Avis again, and explained that now I would have to get a hotel for the night and Avis should pay for the hotel as it was because of their defective vehicle. Avis refused to cover the hotel but did extend my rental agreement. The supervisor offered to give me 2 nights free on this rental and exchange the defective car a 2nd time -- to my third car in less than 2 weeks. When I turned in the car on November 1, the Avis counter wasnt open yet, so I could not get a receipt.I called the location and Avis main number trying to get the receipt on November 1 Nov, 2, 4, and 7 . Several times they said they emailed it to my address on file, that I should wait at least 4 hours to get it. I never received it. Finally I requested and got the reciept at an alternate email address -- it shows no evidence of the promised 2 free days.Now, 3 whole weeks after the first, tire-related, roadside assistance incident, I received a letter saying that I owe Avis $160 ($135 for the towing cost, + $25 for administrative cost) plus the cost to repair the damaged tire. The tire was already damaged when I picked up the car -- I could not have damaged it! An Avis agent told me there would be no charge!Again I called customer service. There was a record of the first roadside call, but mixed in with it were the notes from the second roadside call that I requested hotel reimbursement but Avis refused.Now Im out:$200 for the airline change fee$151.61 for the 1 night in the hotel$30 for dinner (if Avis hadnt caused me to miss my flight, I would have eaten at home)$160 for the first roadside assist call??? for the tire repair$160 for the second roadside assist call (I assume, as it hasnt been 3 weeks yet for their letter to reach me)The total before the tire repair already exceeds the cost of the rental!Avis, this is no way to treat a customer, much less a customer whos business you want to retain!

Cant get them to answer the phone, and needed to talk directly to that office. sent to central reservations where, as much as I appreciate bilingual help, I could barely understand the English of the three different reps. Wont ever use them again
Picking up/dropping off from this location is always a breeze. Ive had to switch cars a couple times or had to get help over the phone and the customer service is great; very friendly. I prefer this location if I dont actually have a need to go to the airport.
Picking up a car at the Embassy Suites was easy and super quick. So much better than picking up at an airport location.The Avis car service on site was part of the reason we decided to stay at the Embassy Suites and we are glad that we did! We saved a lot of money on the rental since they did not have to charge costly airport taxes etc...If you have a choice, it is always less expensive to rent off-site than at an airport location. I know that sometimes it is not practical but in this case, it worked nicely for our schedule and needs.Easy to rent, easy to turn in and no wasted time waiting in lines or walking 10 miles to get the car. It was right outside the door.of the hotel.The only hassle was trying to get bluetooth hooked up - there seemed to be a glitch and the rental agent was helpful and had a great attitude.Thanks Avis!

Avis counter is a small office in the hotel floor and there are some designated Avis spots on the north side of the hotel. The service is good and pretty quick. Biggest plus is that using this location avoids the airport fees!
Car was dirty when I got it but I was so pleased to get one! Enterprise had stiffed me on mine 15mins before I got there so I was just happy to get one and Avis ended up being in the building of the hotel I was staying in. I would have given them 5 stars if the car had smelled better and wasnt dirty.

I always try to rent at the San Luis Obispo AVIS at the Embassy Suites (S5P). By renting here you can avoid paying the per day airport pickup fees. The staff is always helpful.

The staff were extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. Having had less than stellar experiences with Enterprise in the past, it was a wonderful contrast and well be using Avis in the future for all of our rental car needs.
