Low product on shelves and staff less than helpful

I ordered for curbside and waited over 10 minutes, then also called the phone number…no answer.So I went inside waited in line the person at the register didn’t know how to use their own app she had to call someone to help her. That person came to help her and will my order, she didn’t even greet me or anything super rude and unfriendly even after the fact she had to find my order. She handed me my order and didn’t even say sorry for the delay or thank you.. just handed me my order. Will never go back there at all.

I love going here, the store usually has everything Im looking for...AND I get to take my toy Yorkshire Terrier with me.. she loves to shop!

All workers there I feel like their goal is to have you NOT buy a pet.

I went to this pet store a week ago to get some supplies for my adorable puppy. I was overjoyed to hear that this could be done at such a cheap price. A week ago, I went to this pet shop to get some items for my cute puppy. I was overjoyed to learn that it could be had at such a low cost. Ive shared my appreciation for your teams warm welcome. The location on Curtner at The Plant is my favorite. Great service every time. I purchase items for the nearby shelter animals and they go out of their way to help me find special items for all the animals. I have dealt with the managers Shanay and Andrea, as well as the front end staff and found that they all have big hearts. I would not go anywhere else.

Took my dog for nail cutting at the Petsmart groomers and had a great experience. The staff are all very friendly and gentle with the animals.

I wish I can give them no star. They have the the worst customer service ever.Specially the girl who helps in fish department… she doesn’t want you to choose the fish and wants to give whatever she wants to give.We were paying for it so we have the right to choose of what pet we want to take home.She was super rude and disrespectful person.As compared to them, PetCo has really really nice people there. They are always super sweet and welcoming. I will always take my business to PetCo now. Never coming back to this location now.

Took our pup for her first groom. Appointment was easy to book on the mobile app. We were greeted outside they checked her in and had her done in the quoted time. They knew it was her first visit and made sure to reassure both us and her. She came out smelling great. They did the best they could on her nails since she is sensitive to nose and too nail clipping but they did great despite our dogs restlessness. Shes a very rambunctious dog who loves attention and they were able to handle her. We didnt invest in any upgrades because we wanted to see how well she would do and we cant wait to get her back in the salon.

Extremely frustrating grooming experience. This place took an appointment from me over phone and told me all I needed was proof of my dogs rabies vaccinationI waited WEEKS for this appt and when I got there they wouldnt take my dog because he takes a daily mild sedative. Literally never been an issue at any past groomers including Petco.I had no way of knowing this information, btw, because the confirmation text sent to my number didnt work and I booked through phone and got no email.Terrible service

Ive been to several pet stores looking for something from cat food to dog food. Ive never seen or seen anything like the quality that this Pet Shop has provided. Youll find a clean, orderly shop with very friendly, accommodating, and competent staff no matter what time of day you walk in!

My 5 year.old rat terrier was so happy and in love with the care the groomers gave him he went in shaking and scared and came out happy and active they said Tobey loved his bath and spritz definitely will be a life long customer they have the best prices in town and are in point with there care

Had a grooming service done(haircut, nails, shampoo) and all was done beautifully. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. My only place for grooming in San Jose!

Really like this PetSmart and it’s near my place. I just Recently found a feral girl I fell in love with. Went straight to the store to get her supplies. Love the online buy and in-store pick up. Employees are nice and helpful.

The store is nicely kept, the greeter at the cashier desk was friendly and nice but unfortunately the staff member at the fish department was not so friendly and did not once asked if I needed any help. I was looking to buy some fish but unfortunately she never approached me so after a while I decided to go elsewhere. I didn’t get her name but it’s not important. I have to give my complements to the nicely kept fish tanks but not the customer service. Probably most likely I will not come back to this particular location. Perhaps it’s lack of customer service training I Don’t Know 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s too bad.

This petshop is undeniably the best shop ever! I visited their shop yesterday and I have treated so well like no other. The stuff I need for my dogs is there and it was all affordable. I am very happy that I found this pet shop. Looking forward for another transaction in the future. Highly recommended!

We always choose the Almaden Petsmart, this time they didn’t have an open appointment and we had to take Teddy to this location, his groomer was Erika and she did a really awful job on my puppy, when They gave us our puppy he was wet and even the groomer wasn’t stayed to talk to us or even deliver him. We also show them the picture of how we wanted him to be groom,Basically she is new and don’t know how to groom or she doesn’t want to earn our business anymore.Before is what we asked for, After is what we got.We came home and we groom him again, she didn’t do what we asked her to do. I’m so mad,I think we need to ask our money back.

At first I gave a 5 star review, but have to revise it. I took my two dogs in for a shampoo and to have their nails clipped. Usually they do a great job, but the next day my dog was scratching like crazy. He was miserable. Come to find out they didnt throughly rinse off the shampoo. White flakes were everywhere. So I had to bath him again and now hes fine. As for my other dog it looks like they forgot to clip her nails. They were still long. I ended up having to clip them myself.Ive always had great service here, but my last appt. was not a good experience. Very surprising. Had to do most of the work myself.

So we trying to buy a reptile but this rude staff think she knows everything, she want us to go home and set it up the enclosure 1st before she will sell us the reptile. Because we trying to buy a new one for our old reptile and the new reptile will be in the old one. Its not to hard to clean the enclosure and she think that we dont know how to take care of it. In the 1st place, why we going to buy a pet if we dont know how to take care of it.

Horrible! Super unprepared grooming crew, they did not accept my dog because they were unaware international vaccination procedures, once they refused to shower my dog because she had a small nod on her fur by the leg. The only pet smart it ever happened. Not to mention they refused to cut the nod out accept her to do a haircut.

PetSmart was just perfect they have everything and anything you could ever imagine for your animals for when theyre sick theyre down and out they want a toy or they just want something to have fun with weather at the park with you but most of all there employees are very polite very respectful and very very free helpful for anything you could ever need inside that store...

Very helpful staff and the store has a wide variety of supplies for animals of all types (not sure about chinchillas though). They have price matching with their online store! Some items here are even cheaper than Amazon (I was looking at Flukers Calcium/Vitamin liquid supplements).

Did curb-side pick up - staff was friendly and order was accurate.Note - pick up location kind of in way of traffic (left of store entrance) and made it a bit sketchy for other drivers to navigate through - park as close to the sidewalk as possible - but dont run anyone over :)

PetSmart receives more than one star only for decent customer service. The store is unkind to animals, and gives misleading information. If seeking a pet, do other research; never take their word for it.

I am pretty familiar with this PetSmart as I need to constantly replenish my crickets hostages. Its easy to find and theres plenty of parking. I have had some mixed experiences, although most good. If crickets is what your after your results may vary. There has been times that they are out and time where they would not sell me 100 crickets even though I could clearly see they had enough. They have a wide selection of animals, as well as a large selection of food and accessories. They have great sale from time to time, but you have to be on the look out and only on a small selection of items. The employee are all pleasant people. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a place for quick shopping visits. You can run in and get exactly what you need for your pet. Or ...Or you can take your time to smell your newest pet family member. They have cats for adoption and of course they all types of critters that cats hunt. I like to take my time and peer into the cages and aquariums. Pets smart has a rewards program and sells everything for all manner of pet companions.

Just went in to return over 60$ worth of uneaten dog food and paid in cash. An employee, Andrea, who assisted me w my refund had told me that the policy for cash refunds are only refunded via store credit. I continued the refunded, the whole time she seemed unwilling and irritated. I went into the car to find out that cash payments result in cash refund, she simply could’ve explained or had more consideration, instead of declaring it as a store policy just to finish a transaction. The only reason why I gave this petsmart a 1 is because yesterday I went to go get a goldfish for my daughter and the staff didn’t want to sell us a fish and were very rude I have gone to this petsmart for 6 years and I have never gotten horrible staff.

Went last night to finally purchase some fish for my 8 year nephews tank we set up last week and EVERY single display tank had dead fish in them. Not just talking one per tank either...i purchased 3 fish from here for him before and they all died within 3 days. Its a bit discouraging and I dont think the kid can handle another dead fish so weve opted to go elsewhere for our fish.

Was here for fish. Terrible new policy. You arent allowed to pick the fish u want. Ur allowed to pick the species. So what u end up with is the sick fish thats too slow to run away from the net

I purchased some Items on line to be picked up at store near me . I had to go to the other side of town because they redirect purchases with out previously informing customers of the changes.

THEY HAVE GUINEA PIGS AND CHINCHILLAS HERE!! Also, they just opened up a vet hospital if I remember correctly. The wait isnt too long and the store is very well organized. There usually is only one cashier at the front though, so the line might be 4-5 people long (about 2 minutes per transaction).

Only half of my online order (6 cans out of 12 - Dog can foods) was filled correctly. Im glad to have checked the bag before leaving the store. Store manager was kind enough to let me substitute other brands in the order without extra charges. I hope the store will improve their accuracy in fulfilling customers online orders.

Great customer service. Theyre always are respective and knowledgeable. I have purchased 4 guinea pigs, in the last 3 years, from them and have had no problems. This is the only establishment that I trust for all our guinea pigs needs

My local PetSmart store is convenient, with plenty of parking, friendly staff, clean, well organized, bright displays. Always a pleasant visit and my dog appreciated the little love the checkout clerk offered him.

We have purchased five guinea pigs from this location and they are still thriving after 5 years .. Returns and exchanges are seamless and quick ... Not bad, has the basics you need but lacked in selection options in some areas. This store looks bigger than it really is, although they do have a vet center within.

This store has poor customer service, especially in the pet adoption service. I went there to adopt a cat and nobody was around to help. I had to look for help and when I found an employee, she told me to go look for someone else. It took the third person I asked in order to get some help. Then after I filled out my adoption application, that person told me I have to wait at least an hour to get my application approved and I cannot leave the store or I’ll forfeit my application. I didn’t know why they couldn’t just give me a call when my application got approved but instead made me waited in the store. I finally got my adoption but it was a very inefficient service and unsatisfied experience. I would not recommend this store for adoption service.

My 12 year old was poodle was just groomed at this location and he had chunks of fur on his tail and face left over also my dog had been at the groomer for 5 hours so it was already stressful enough the total bill was 98 dollars and I’ve been to this location many times with my dog but I’ve never been more disappointed in the result and I wish it wasn’t like this but my opinion has changed on how they handle our pets.

I can always find what I need here and I love visiting the animals that are up for adoption ...so cute.
