Another update: I was asked to pay $40 for the product used on my hair...and receive the rest in a credit to the salon. I accepted this while trying to be nice during these hard times. I received a text from Donna asking me to remove my yelp review after all of this.... I have been the most understanding during this horrible experience and willing to give this place a second chance. But now Im not. Weve been back in forth, Ive called them over 5 times to fix this and still left with no solution and no call/text back. I wont ever come back here.Update: was offered 5 days to fix it or free. I do not want the people ever to touch my hair again after this experience. I expected to receive a full refund but Donna said she needed to confirm with another person before. I hope they look at my hair and realize not only was my time wasted but this does not deserve even a penny for the awful work done to my hair.Very upset with my hair. The employees are nice but they do not listen to what you want and the outcome of this experience was damaging to my hair but also my pocket. $200 for this I asked for my hair to be blended and toned not anymore bleach and when I thought the lady couldnt understand me I reconfirmed with the other one that she heard me correctly. I had bleach sitting on my hair for over an hour and they told me another hour. I said no I dont want to have my hair lightened just toned, they took it off and toned the hair. I liked the ashy color in the salon but I saw all of these harsh lines it doesnt look good at any way I part my hair and my bangs have this odd harsh line in it. Im just so frustrated that I spend 5+ hours and over 200 for them to tell me my hair looks good. I said its OK and I dont like it at first but they kept saying it looks good. The hair cut the guy was very nice, they have great customer service but I asked for NO LAYERS 3x I told him and he kept saying you need layers for volume and convincing me to get LAYERS... Im going to have to book another appointment and pay the same to fix this. I feel bad because the employees are nice but honestly look at my hair do you think this is a job well done?

I love coming here because of the great handiwork for manicures/pedicures, and the friendly and welcoming service from Donna and the team! I’ve been doing my nails for over a decade so I know when I’ve found a keeper, and I’m so happy I’ve found my new go-to salon in San Jose.

Very kind team of hairstylists, manicurists and beauticians. Thoughtful, friendly and consummate professionals. They may not remember your name but they recognize you when you walk in with a gracious smile (which you can see even behind the Covid-19 mask).

Horrible unqualified nail specialists.The pedicure was so painful I had to walk out. She didnt seem to care how painful it was or maybe just wanted me to leave because she seemed almost satisfied that I was leaving.

BEST $10 Mens Haircut in San Jose. I come here with my son who is 14 and they just do a great job for us. The place is modern and clean. ... they play music videos... bottled water... I get fade cut, and my son likes a more high, low fade. My son likes to change styles a bit and he just brings in a picture of something he likes and they match the haircut pretty close. Always good here.

Just moved to San Jose and was looking for a local Salon for a haircut, highlights & waxing. Great experience! Im getting gel nails done tomorrow. The place is definitely worth checking out. Its clean, modern and professional. Awesome!

The Beauty Salon is fantastic. The place was recommend by a friend and Ive really been happy. Ive tried most all their services, Hair Salon, Nail Salon and Womens Beauty stuff... and theyve been great. I live in the East Foothills of San Jose and Im just so happy theyre so close.

One of my favorite Full-Service Beauty Salons. The atmosphere is modern and clean. The ladies are talkative and friendly. The lady who did my manicure did an excellent job on my acrylic nails. My Pedicure came out looking great and I love the color. The nail tools are sealed and in sterilized bags. Great selection of nail polish. I also got my eyebrows waxed and they came out perfect. They also have a Hair Salon for Women and Mens Haircuts. Beauty Salon for Facials and Womens Body Waxing, Thank you Alum Rock Hair & Nails for opening this Salon on San Jose Eastside. I love it!

Ive been getting my nails done here pretty regularly and decided it was time to try their hair salon service and it turned out great. I love my highlights and couldnt be happier. Alum Rock Hair & Nails is a nice, clean and professional salon. I definitely feel comfortable here and recommend them to everyone.

Review long time coming... I love this place. Its friendly, fun, clean and very professional. OMG these guys make me laugh so much... Im so glad theyre so close to me. Ive been coming here since they opened in early 2019, found them on Expertise 2019 Best Hair Salons in San Jose. Plus they do my Gel Nails, pedicure and manicure.. and Im very picky with my nails and hair.As for price and service... its great! Ive tried most everything, hair coloring, haircut, waxing, nails... all good here and its affordably.Check them out, best to come during the weekdays cause they get very busy on the weekends.

I had a wonderful experience. The only thing I can say is they need to massage the feet better. Other than that, its clean the people are nice and welcoming. I will definitely go back.

I called to make appointment and was told I couldn’t get my eyebrows done because of COVID-19 Restrictions but as I was getting my nails done a lady came in and said she had a appointment to get her eyebrows waxed and she had three people with herIncluding a child under 13. And the lady next to me said they waxed her eyebrows. When I called I talk toEric and I wanted a pedicure and full nail set and when I got there he just had me down for a pedicure. I have been going here but very disappointed that some clients get special treatment over other. I was lied to about not being able to get my eyebrows done because they were still doing them against the restrictions which can get them shut down. I left a negative review on their Facebook account and they never posted it only the positive reviews are on their page BS

Just got my nails and eyelashes done here and service was wonderful! My nails came out perfect and my lashes look beautiful! Will definitely go to them often!

Alum Rock Hair & Nails, Clean, friendly and helpful. All the equipment including the nail polish is all new. Im giving this new manicure & pedicure salon in San Jose a five star review. Its NAILISHES. Im going to try the Bikini Waxing next as they have a special on Instagram @alumrockhairandnails, June special $20, regularly $25. OMG, Im paying $45 in Los Gatos for the same.

Great haircut and the hot oil treatment was perfect! Love that stuff.

My wife and daughter got a manicure & pedicure a few months back and since then they have been back for a nail refill, fix this and that nail something,... I dont know much about nails but they ask me to write a five stars because they love this place and they fixed the broken nail for free.
