Ignore any negative reviews! These people treat you with love and respect. I had to relocate to Sacramento in 2020 as I was going through some challenging times with my family. However, I was employed with these people from 2016-2020. They treated me like family. Being a behavioral therapist is a very inconsistent job. You have cancellations, biases from parents, lack of support from many parents as they assume they know what is right and wrong, however, these people always supported me. I went through college whilst working here and they never pushed or even hinted at me working extra hours. They continue to support me outside of me working here. I will be working here and I will continue to support both Rajan and Karan.
My wife is a school psychologist so she knows the signs for autism and the importance of early intervention. We had been trying to get our son evaluated for over a year. We got the runaround with 3 other clinics and the best we got was being put on a waitlist which was 18 months! Luckily one of my coworkers referred me to Emerging Milestones and words can’t express how grateful I am. My son was evaluated by Dr. Thinda. We were so impressed the professionalism and the level of detail.I wish I could say the same about our insurance company. After the recommendations were submitted to our insurance company they told us to contact my primary insurance for the recommended therapy. I had relocated, but my primary was out of state. Primary refused to cover and secondary said it’s the primary insurance’s responsibility…Long story short, I called Dr. Thinda and ask for guidance because I felt the insurance issue was going to take time to resolve. When I told the doc what happened, doctor sent us additional resources and gave my wife access to training material that is used train ABA providers. With the pandemic my wife had lost her job and was able to use what she learned to support our son. Eventually the insurance issue was resolved. My wife is now pursuing her masters in applied behavioral analysis. Emerging Milestones not only helped with my child’s future, they indirectly helped my wife reach a milestone too!
I have been with Emerging milestones for 5month now for my son and it has been so helpful to have them. My family and I have learnt so much to help facilitate my sons needs... they have also helped my son so much with him asking me what he needs. My son and I our greatful to have found this ABA company. They work together to better their clients😎.
I just want to say how unprofessional some of their staff members are. There is lack of communication and no consideration. Karen had came over to my house to discuss about my son’s services and after that came for a second time with her supervisor and another co worker. I explained my situation in regards to how many hours a week I was able to do for my son’s sessions. When it was time to start my son got sick first with upper respiratory, then the flu, two pink eyes, vomiting and fever. Of course I called in advance to cancel three times and I end up finding out through the person who does the scheduling that my son wasn’t going to receive any sessions due to the less hours we already had agreed when they came over to my house. I was upset the fact how neither Karen or her supervisor had the courtesy to call and let me know they were not planning to come. The first day my son was ready to start neither Karen or her co worker showed up to my house. Of course I was waiting and waiting until I decided to call to find out what was going on. Her excuse was she was trying to get a hold of me and tried other numbers when she has my number as well as my insurance. I haven’t change my number and even called their office before and gave them my number. All I can say is that I saw how they only care about their hours and coverage instead of trying to work with a child. The day she finally called me our conversation wasn’t pleasant towards the end that Karen started talking over me and was very alterated that of course I had to defend myself as well to the point that instead of her being calmed to explain she decided to just ignore me by saying ok bye bye and hangs up. This proves how unprofessional she is to handle a situation and how she avoids to solve a problem. She didn’t like the fact how I told her how I felt and what their mistakes were. Karen said to look for another provider instead which I am going to do. I know for a fact I will find a better provider for my son and who is willing to help.
Very caring and professional team; they changed my childs life.
Finally found an ABA provider that really cares about its clients!
This was a good experience my son felt welcomed and comfortable in this location everything was clean. The doctor & the staff are welcoming and friendly I was worried at first because of the bad reviews I read but I left wondering why do they even have bad reviews. My son has being properly diagnosed after years of different doctors telling me he just has adhd and I’m truly grateful for this Doctor and their staff. Very nice people
