I highly recommend this Sylvan center and the Sylvan method. My child has a quiet space to learn with a patient teacher. He feels accomplished after every session. The scaffold is appropriate for his learning.

This Sylvan center is awesome with friendly directors, office staff and teachers who care about the students academic success and personal growth. My son started attending Sylvan this past summer and I am very happy with their progress so far as well as how accommodating they have been in meeting my child’s personal needs. They have been outstanding in always trying to provide the best schedule, putting my son with teachers and group sessions that are best suitable for him and always addressing any questions/concerns that I may have as a parent. My son is always excited about going there to learn and it’s overall a supportive, professional and motivating environment for the children.

Sylvan has been great with my son to get him where he needs to be and they make it fun as well. Very good communication. The staff is really nice . Very flexible on the times and also payment options as well.

I’m so glad that my daughter goes to Sylvan on Camden. Before attending, her reading comprehension level was two grades below and her self esteem took a real hit. But now, even though it’s only been 1.5 months, her confidence is up and she is improving a school! Her teachers have even noted the change. It has been an amazing experience so far that I’m truly grateful for. Plus the staff are so nice and amazing! I highly recommend!

My son started at Sylvan on Camden in San Jose a few weeks ago and he loves it. The program has an incentive program for students that encourage them to do their best and it’s brilliant! I’ve already noticed a difference and excited to see how far he goes. The staff at this location are great, and the small class sizes are even better. My son started going to Sylvan Camden at the end of the school year. He was very far behind and we wanted to get him caught up. It has only been a month and he is doing very well. He enjoys going there and loves earning tokens. His reading has improved greatly and he even enjoys reading. The staff and tutors are very friendly and great at what they do. Im positive that by the end of summer my son will have reached his goal, if not surpassed it!Oh I almost forgot, he loves the reading program so much that he asked why we didnt do the math program as well. Lol. Even his sister wants to join!

My daughter has been going here for 2 months now for her writing class and loves it. Great place, great teachers and really help my daughters writing skill improve even she only here for 2 months. My son has been going to Sylvan for a couple of Months now. I was worried that he was slightly behind and didnt want him to start offHis first grade year and Become even more behind. Once I finally called Sylvan I knew it would be a great fit. They remembered who I was upon the second time calling and everyone was very welcoming. It is easy to tell how much they all care about the kids. I took my son there, and he loved it. After every session when I pick him up, he tells me how great it was and how much he enjoyed it. He has liked all of the teachers, and loves that he gets tokens as a reward. It has been a very positive experience for the Whole family, and it is Getting hisConfidence up so that he is not so afraid to read. We love it and couldnt recommend it more!

Our daughter has loved each of the tutors shes worked with and she showed a definite improvement in her math skills after the first couple of weeks with them. Sylvan creates a great learning environment that uses positive reinforcement to encourage the kids to do well by giving them tokens that they can spend on a wide range of prizes. There are also other opportunities for getting tokens at home or outside of Sylvan so that kids can be encouraged to apply what they learn in Sylvan to other places. The monthly progress reports are easy to understand. Matt and Pete are great and explaining things to parents and all of the staff are wonderful at working with the kids.

We first enrolled our daughter for a 4 session trial and observed that with just 4 session her reading skills improved quite a bit. We decided to enroll her for the summer and have noticed a big difference in her over all reading, writing and math skills. She enjoys attending her classes and likes all the teachers. Pete, Mary and the rest of the staff at this center are very helpful and very attentive. We would highly recommend Sylvan on Camden!

I like these guys. Better yet, our daughter likes these guys. She has a difficult time with math (just like her daddy did), and is now at a school where she has to get up to speed and fast. Sylvan works with her very well to get her to where she needs to be. What weve noticed is that she goes there without complaint, and gets stuff done. Shes not where she needs to be at her school yet — which is to be expected — but we think shes getting there. Biggest problem? She wants to do her homework at Sylvan because there are less distractions than at home! Ill gladly change this review to a five-star once she gets where she needs to be.

We have had both of our sons here at various times and have been very pleased with the results. I guess it may be a bit pricey compared to other tutors in the area, but its well worth it. We did try one other less-expensive place, but left it quickly due to poor tutors. They work well with all age groups and are pretty flexible with scheduling.

I am 12 years old and I go to sylvan. I have been learning new things and am improving in subjects that I wasnt very good at. The teachers their provide a great learning environment, and I like how each time I go to sylvan I gain tokens which I can save up to eventually buy something with in the token store that they have.

Our 6yo daughter loves coming to Sylvan at Camden! She is progressing through her learning plan very well and is gaining confidence in her reading skills and comprehension. I would certainly recommend Sylvan to others.

My eight-year-old daughter has been going to Sylvan, twice a week, for a few months, and shes always excited about her sessions. She loves her teachers, and says she has a lot of fun. Ive definitely noticed she has more confidence in her math skills, and is determined to do her best. Sylvan provides an excellent academic support system, with top quality teachers and a great management team who are easy to work with, and very accommodating to your scheduling needs.

So far, so good! Our 6th grader started math tutoring to catch up to grade level. The instructors have done a great job keeping him interested and engaged. They have a token reward system that allows the kids to work towards a little fun and some cool prizes. It helps motivate our son.

My son and daughter go here for Math class and they have really shown big improvements from their grade level. Staff here are also very friendly and flexible. Highly recommend this branch.

My son has been attending Sylvan for about a month and a half now. He is 6 years old and attending Kindergarten. He was having some trouble with letter identification and sounds, so I signed him up with Sylvans Reading Program. Upon re-evaluation by his teacher, she had noticed a huge improvement, as have I. He enjoys showing off what he has learned at home. Sylvan gives very detailed monthly progress reports which is very helpful for us at home, and I share them with his teacher as well. It also gives you a great idea on what they have accomplished together and what they have and will be working on. So far I think they are great and I have no complaints!

I am a student at Sylvan and the prices are a bit extravagant but the staff is very understanding and put me up with a tutoring session for less but fit with my needs. As I am doing sylvan Im learning more day by day than I did during the whole school year. 10/10 would recommend.

Great place for the kids.. Started about 3 weeks ago for my 3rd grader. So far has seen a great improvement in English. The rewarding program with tokens motivates my son the most.

Good school program. I recommend for reading. Very good. And they tell you the reading skill. When my children go to this program, they get confident. Nice teacher! Especially Miss Karyn. She used to work at the Evergreen center and she explains everything very clearly. She is easy to understand. Anna likes her very much!

Both of our kids enjoy going to this center. Their math grade level has improved a lot since they started going to this class.

My sister won a free week for tutoring from school and she just started going here and she loves it already. She says she likes all the teachers and she loves that she gets tokens and gets to pick prices for doing a good job! Just signed her up to keep coming and get the help she needs!

My 2nd grade son was falling behind in reading - and very frustrated. After an in-depth assessment, the team at Sylvan quickly outlined a plan to get him up to speed. After just 10 sessions he is more confident and making progress towards all areas of reading and comprehension. Not only does he like all the tutors/teachers, but he actually enjoys his sessions. The Sylvan program is in-depth, organized and the team has been great to work wtih. My sons teacher has commented on his improvement as well. Its still early, but our experience so far has far exceeded my expectations.

My daughter ( kaela) has been going to sylvan learning of San Jose- Camden location for algebra 1 and I am very happy with her improvement. At the beginning of the school year, she got a C in her class and now she’s getting an A. The staffs are very nice and the teachers always there when she needs help.

Going to Sylvan Learning center in San Jose, everyone were friendly. The place was clean. They made my grandson fill like he was part of the family. Ready to help him with any of his needs.

My 5 year old son has been going for a couple of months now and is motivated by the rewards for achievements and always has his eye on the next prize. But along with the prizes he is making steady progress which is what counts. The staff, Matt, Pete and Mary are professional, helpful and accommodating but I also like that they are flexible with regard to times and instructors. I like the assessments and review meetings that keep you up to date with your childs progress. I recommend them if your child is needing some assistance to get up to speed as in our case, but also if you are looking to get ahead of the pace.

Sylvan Learning has saved us from hours of non-productive struggling with our son over classwork, homework, and refusal to learn. THANKS to the wonderful Educational Director and fantastic teachers, my son has gained confidence in his ability to learn and has had a complete turn around in attitude. He had a traumatic start to Kindergarten, repeated first grade and was struggling to learn to read. After just 2 hours a week for a few months, my son LOVED going to Sylvan and WANTED to read more and more! More importantly, he did gain the confidence and comfortableness with his skills that turned his outlook and attitude about learning from negative to positive.His biggest complaint about his school at the start of the year is that the library is not yet open! Amazing, from a child who just 4 months ago labeled himself a non-reader.Thank you Sylvan. I HIGHLY recommend the Camden Ave Sylvan to any parent needing assistance with their childrens academics.
