I have brought two of my cars to get washed here. One being my Lexus for paint correction. They caries to charge me over price just for a paint correction. After they saw that I was about to leave because of the high price they automatically lowered the price by almost $100 to get me to do the paint correction. Secondly, I brought my jeep to get washed here. Right after a lady got there with her car and simply because she was good friends with the employee there, they washed her car before my car even though I had gotten there first. I waited about an extra hour. At the end I could tell they were rushing on my car because they were about to close leaving it with poor quality work. On my Lexus there were still swirl marks. It looks like they just threw on wax without correcting/buffing the paint. Do not come here. Go elsewhere!

Great service! While the prices are a little expensive, it was well worth the money! (They do often have coupons though, so be on the lookout for deals, especjally around holidays). Theyve advertised themselves as experts at black cars, and as an owner of one I can tell you that they live up to their claim. After a complete inside and out detail, my car now looks just as good as new when I drove it off the lot for the first time. Highly recommend!

I had a mini detail on my SUV. Great job. People noticed the difference. Interior was cleaned professionally as well. Its lasting longer than the other wash I had at a competitor.

Really great place to get your car detailed. Slightly pricy but it is a full detailing. Workers are very friendly. Waiting room didnt have water but maybe it was too hot of a day for the water machine to keep up? It was AC cooled with nice seats. I have gone 3 times and no issues so far.

For the price they charge, it was mehh. They left our car wayyyyy too wet, I had to leave the windows open and it smelled wet for a long time. When I finally pulled the chairs down in the back, the latches that hold them in place had rust since they left it so wet. Kid in front when we first got there was nice, but they guy Alex who checked me out at the end was not professional. Paid and then he just started talking to someone else, not important conversation. Didnt say thank you or bye or any acknowledgement at all, just kept talking, so I grabbed my receipt myself and left. Wasnt gonna post anything until I pulled down the seats and seen the rusty latches. Also left some gum on theplastic in the back, I had to take it off myself next time I vacuumed the car.Too expensive to miss obvious things. Would not recommend, will not be returning. While I dont live in the San Jose area any longer, I took my car to AJs numerous times over a 10 year period. Top notch firm using the highest quality products. Efficient, knowledgeable and fairly priced. Great customer service!

Got there around 8:45am Saturday, went with the $80 Detail interior and exterior wax or whatever package that came with it. Checked in pretty fast and waited for the car, car was done about 2hrs which is totally fine with me, paid the bill with tip and tipped the the guys outside too knowing they always takes care of me, been going here for year and years, that day I was kinda disappointed because car wasn’t dry, windows, window visors still have water marks and interior wasn’t clean well, I still support them and still go to them, just need to say about it for them to be aware. That’s $100+ job atleast get my windows dry lol.

Received a Mothers Day special so I thought id try them out. What I liked most was the results. And, even though there are many flaws in the paint of my 2013 Honda Accord, I received a call about the particulars and that there were options to repair, which were great, but was told that they were going to do the best they could. I understood certain chips, scratches were not removable. I appreciated their evaluation! I highly recommend! Coming back for my 2nd car to be detailed.

First time going here after numerous recommendations from friends and co-workers. Was quite impressed. My vehicle was in desperate need of a complete detail (both inside and out). Having young kids means the inside was filled with every snack possible. My exterior had imbedded water spot stains after the fires last year that left ash on my vehicle that I couldnt remove. My headlights were foggy and made it hard to see at night. After a full day at the shop I got my car back looking brand new. AMAZING! So kudos to AJs and Ill be paying it forward with recommendations to my friends, family and co-workers. Only regret...I didnt take before & after pics!

My car is beautiful once again. The smoke and ash from the recent fires completely coated my car and a simple wash wasnt going to be enough. The last time I got a detail (from another place) they charged an arm and a leg. However AJs is very reasonably priced and they provide seriously amazing service. I never knew even my tires could be so shiny!

First visit, not impressed at all. I paid $80 for a mini detail and waxing services on my vehicle. I picked-up my car and they didnt clean my exterior windows. I dont believe they washed my car to be honest (maybe just a rag rub here and there)... it was cleaner though. Long story short, you can pay Classic Car Wash for half the price (seriously) and receive better results.Update 12/11/20: I downgraded my review from 2 stars to 1 star. Prior to the Response from the owner was added, I received a phone call from them and was informed Ill get a full refund but its been over a month and no refund. They just add these comments for others to view to think theyre doing the right thing, but they arent.Again: I paid $80 for a mini detail, but they didnt fully wash the exterior of my car. Theres no excuse for this disservice. What car wash charges you 80 DOLLARS and doesnt wash your car?

I have had our two vehicles detailed at AJ’s quite a few times and we are never disappointed. My wife has an SUV and I have a sports sedan. Both look new when we pick them up. The attention to detail is incredible inside and out. I am especially picky about my tires and wheels and am always satisfied. Over the years we have taken our vehicles to lots of places in the South Bay, but now we only go to AJ’s. The first time we went to Ajs, we took my husbands car to get the “complete interior” cleaning, an express wax, and seat shampooed. We LOVED how the car came out. So clean, so smooth, so perfect it looked almost brand new. The second time I brought in my car looking to do the exact same service and was left disappointed. My car did not feel as smooth, there was spots that could have been cleaned better, and seemed like they didn’t really try. Although I left disappointed that my car didn’t seem as great as my husbands, I would definitely go back and would definitely recommend them. Even though they are on the pricey area... WELL WORTH IT.

Came to get a car wash and detail and was immediately accosted by the worst customer service person I’ve ever met. They saw a nicer car and immediately attempted to change the quote they gave on the phone to be 50 percent higher and refused to be reasonable. After the man insulted me and my girlfriend we left. Trust me NEVER go here with any vehicle worth more than 10k or they WILL rip you off shamelessly.

To start I would like to say that the customer service is great. Alex was very kind and helpful along with the other team members. As for the actual “detail” it was decent at best. I’m not sure if it was because it was an older vehicle or because they felt rushed but it was below average. I stopped by without questioning if they would do a thorough job because “professional detailing” is in the name after all. After my car finished I left and went around the corner to get gas. As I’m pumping gas I noticed dirt on the car as well as dust in the vehicle, windows still had streaks...etc. I know you’re probably asking why I didn’t check the vehicle before pulling off... but after waiting patiently for two hours I still had a laundry list of things I needed to get done so I left in a hurry. Safe to say that the customer service was the best part of this experience. I could have just gotten a hand wash and a vacuum for a fraction of the price and it would have looked the same if not better.

Do not take your car here if you care about it. After their exterior detail I spent an hour fixing mistakes and missed spots on the exterior. Then another hour shampooing the black stains out of my carpet. Luckily I don’t think there is any permanent damage but needless to say I won’t be going back.

Had a really poor experience with one of the employees. I am a young woman who drives an expensive car, and it was very clear that the employee tried to take advantage of me with the price. He was rude, condescending, and completely transparent about his goal to make me overpay. I left without getting a service because he was so rude and overcharged me excessively, far past the prices listed on their website for a basic wash. Would not recommend coming here if youre a woman who is expecting not to be haggled.

Ive always taken my vehicles to AJs and they always do a great job. They take care of your cars and you dont have to worry about a thing. They even handle the classic cars with love. They are the best!!

I have recently got my interior and exterior cash wash here and the service was good. They were very helpful and my car came out sparkling after the wash. Its recommended to call them before hand and take an appointment as that places seemed to be bit busy most of the time. One star off because of the price. Its little expensive compared to other cash wash services.

Had my Honda detailed since I was selling it. They did a FANTASTIC job. I got top price for it when I sold it a week later. Can’t say enough about the service they provide. I would be a loyal customer but I don’t drive anymore.

Only been to AJS 3 Times and I have to say I wish I could afford a More Regular Detailing with them But Iam Retired and have a Limited Income and even though they do a Fantastic Job down there at this point I just cant afford to do regular Details down there. The work they do is Very nice and I really cant complain about them Missing some spots on our windows but they do Great work. Behind the scenes I havent a Clue, you cant see what there doing and it does take 2+ Hours even if your First at the Front door. That all said, I will be going back, but not on any kind of regular basis due to the Pricing and my Budget. If you havent had your Car or Truck Detailed, Take it here, I think youll pleasantly Surprised.

AJs is my go-to car wash. For this service, I had taken a long road trip and my SUV needed a thorough cleaning inside and out. I decided to do a full car detail, including clay bar treatment. AJs helped clean up a deep scratch as well and its barely noticeable now. Be sure to arrive at opening or (call and) arrange for a time; they do get busy. For those Covid-concerned customers, they take proper precautions, including wearing masks in the front office). I highly recommend AJs!

This place is the best. As my time has become limited to do my own detailing, I have been letting AJs do all of my detailing work. Two (2) of my cars, one (1) black and one (1) red always come back to me looking like new.

Bought one of the specials online for interior and exterior detailing. Many times with these deals there are a lot of restrictions as to when and how to use. Not with AJs super easy to use and they did a great job. Will definitely be bringing my cars back here for a detail.

I recently bought a used car that had a faint cigarette smell that I just could not get rid of. I added the ozonation service to my interior detail service and when I picked it up the car, it looked brand new and there was no sign of smoke smell. After a day or two the smell did return but definitely not as noticeable as before.

AJs is still the best car wash/detailing place in San Jose when it comes to quality, but I have not been happy with some of the changes since they changed owners late last year, hence the 4 star rating. One day, I showed up mid-afternoon (~2pm) and they were at capacity, but said they could take me if I got one of the more expensive services. Really? Id think it should be the opposite... if youre at capacity how can you squeeze in a 3 hour job but not a 1 hour job? Also, they started charging a fee to use a credit card. Id understand this if they were taking small payments, but this is a place that doesnt offer a service under $50, and has recently hiked up prices significantly. You should take the hit with the fee like everyone else or work it in to your prices. They also have been quoting very high time estimates for their work. Now, I understand the whole under promise and over deliver thing, but to quote 3 hours for an express wax when there is no line? I stayed and it ended up taking just over an hour, which is great, but I was about to leave when they said 3 hours. These are all small things, but my recent experiences havent been up to par with the past few years of coming here. But again, the quality of their work has not changed, its top-notch, and Im super meticulous when it comes to my car being clean inside and out.

My husband usually brings in the car for details. But this time, I purchased a deal from AJ Auto Detailing. I brought in my Nissan Leaf for Express Wax. I didnt know how the process work so I drove into the place and asked a worker there. He was very courteous and pointed the area that I should park my car. A great customer service from the start and continued throughout the process. When I came back, the car was done in a timely manner. Furthermore, the car was nicely details and wax. I am very happy with the service and would definitely bring in my car for future Express Waxes.

I have had my 2013 Mercedes Benz E350 detailed here many times. Ive done quick detail, custom detail and clay bar services and each time the car has come out looking shiny and magnificent. They have good discounts offered via coupons for these services so its best to take advantage of them. The only thing is that they expire within a month after purchase so you need to plan on using them fairly quickly. They are very busy and you should make an appointment. Otherwise you may not get a spot (they put up a parking lot sign saying that they are full).

The always do an excellent job. Their prices are a bit higher than competitors, but coupons/discounts are often available on-line bringing it down to a competitive price. We have used them for exterior detailing and interior detailing for a sports car, pickup truck, and sedan. We have always been happy with the result. Yes, they can get very busy Fri - Sun meaning a long wait, so bringing in your vehicle Mon - Thurs is preferable.

I loved this place when the previous owners were there. Their online deals didnt expire so quickly and they didnt nickel and dime so much. I was a loyal AJ customer but now its not worth the drive. The previous owner treated you and your car like family.

I have had my cars detailed many times at AJ Auto Detail. I am greeted by a friendly staff member and the work is always done on time. The attention to detail to second to none. The exterior and interior are spotless, even the air vents. There is never a smudge mark on the windows. I know that when I pick up my car, it will look brand new. Keep up the excellent work.

The shop does great work, but can be very slow! I took my car on an early Sunday afternoon for a $50 mini detail, and was told it would be a couple of hours. It was 3.5 hours! The waiting room is very nice, with coffee, water and TV, and I got to know it well!

I had a great experience taking in my car to AJ Auto detailing. My brother has been taking his cars there for years and has had nothing but great things to say about this business. So much so that I decided to come from San Francisco and take the opportunity to stop in when I was visiting my family. Everyone on staff is courteous and takes very good care of your vehicle. The waiting area is comfortable and welcoming. If you dont want to sit there and wait or dont have a ride to take and bring you back, you can walk across the street and do some shopping. There are also some food options, so it is really not a hassle to go get your care well taken care of by the AJ crew. When my really dirty car was returned to me, it was looking brand new. I didnt even want to sit in it because it was so clean. Worth every penny for their excellent service.

The only thing I was really surprised about after the $125 custom interior detailing plus mini detail, was the conditioning glaze they put on the car. It really did make the car look like I just drove it off the car dealership lot!I made an appointment at 9 am on a Sunday, after speaking with an employee on the phone (this was when they opened and I would be first in line) and I was on time to the minute. When I arrived I realized they had been open since 8 am and I was at least 10 cars behind. Then about 2 hours in, I noticed my car STILL had not been touched and actually saw them with my own eyes, pulling other cars in front of mine. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF AN APPOINTMENT? I was there for 3 hours and 45 minutes, when the lady at the front told me only 3.5 hours absolutely max.When I finally get called for the car being done, every crevice and part of my car was HALF ASSED. There was still dirt in my gas tank, spots on my windows, grime in the cup holder, crumbs on the floor, spots on my roof, spots on my car.... A little effort would have gone a long way here and possibly would have made me come back but now I will never.It definitely doesnt help my thoughts of this place when that lazy work took them 3 damn hours to do. what can you guys do when you actually take the time to put effort into your work?

Theyve always done a great job. I came here after travelling across the country with a dog and a cat. They helped me to determine the best option for getting out all of the pet fur that had accumulated. It was expensive, but that was two years ago now and my car is still pretty clean on the inside (granted pet travel has been minimal since Ive been here). For me its worth the periodic investment for a really thorough and good cleaning.

Starting taking my cars to AJs in 1989 and always loved the service. I have had them do the Connoisseurs detail on 5 of my cars over the years, the last one being about 3 years ago. They always turned out great. Just had the Connoisseurs done and they did a poor job. Not much better than a good car wash place would do and I had to wait for about 45 minutes while they touched up all the things they missed. I am used to them getting small scratches and defects out of the paint but not this time. They didnt even try to get the fingernail marks out from the door handle recesses. Told me they couldnt because a machine polisher could not fit in that area. Yeah, it needs to be done by hand but they told me they need the machine to heat up the clear coat. I took the marks out with a rag and some polishing compound in about 90 seconds. I actually re polished the entire car when I got it home since I was preparing to give the car to my son as a surprise gift and wanted it to look its best. They are just lazy and want to maximize their profit while minimizing what they do. And Alex will argue with you to tell you the detail job is great, despite other customers waiting around to have their completed cars touched up as well. Mind you, this was a $525 detail job! The place is NOT what is used to be.

I dropped my car off first thing in the morning since they get pretty busy, especially on the weekends. The customer service was great, they immediately had someone check me in and send me inside. I brought in a coupon to use and they had recently upped their prices, but because I had bought the coupon before the price change, they gave me the old price. Everyone is very on top of what they are doing and my car looked AMAZING after the express wash. The inside and outside were spotless. I would definitely bring my car back again.

Just had our minivan detailed last week. As usual, it came out spotless looking brand new which is hard for a 3-year old car w/ 3 small children. Alex is always helpful and works with us through the process. I would highly recommend AJ Auto Detailing especially for those tough to please.

The lady in the front was very nice and helpful however there was a difference between when I took my car to get detailed versus my husband. My husband was asked a bunch of questions and they did a walk around with staff of the car to get an idea of what exactly the expectations were and I was not. I was told my car would be ready at 3 pm. I arrived at 3:30 and it was not ready and they closed at 4. When I got my car I felt as if they had rushed. Items were put back haphazardly, the drivers seat belt was still damp and there were some tiny crevices that still had dirt that I ended up using a napkin to clean. There was also a tear in my passenger side seat. Now my car is old and the seats definitely had wear on them but not that noticeable (Im guessing whatever chemicals they used to clean the leather seats) which made me wish I had taken some before pictures. Dont get me wrong my car interior looks 100% better than it did just some little things that I expected would be better based on my husbands experience and how his car looked having gone just the weekend before.

I really do like the way these guys do their detailing and the amount of attention they give to vehicles. Ive been visiting this location for a while now ever the years. They seem to be doing well and added a new expansion to their waiting area. The prices are still a little high but it comes with a good service. You can get a mini detail and wax for $60 or so but you can get a deal at Costco for $99 for 2 mini wax packages. I know they do an excellent job and it would be a nice treat to come here.

Had to wait over 2 hours for just a wash and hand wax, way to long. Also cars that arrived after me getting the same service are done half an hour before mine car is done, this has happened two prior visits. This time I even had water spots on both sides of the car the next day, not what I would consider to be the best in San Jose. Really disappointed in the service my last three visits,after being a customer for 3 years it maybe be time to find a new detail shop!

I never went in because of the price point, but Im so glad I finally bit the bullet and checked it out. Worth every penny. You get more than what you paid for. Theyre very thorough and and clean every nook and cranny of the car. Highly recommend.

I am a long time client of the business. I have been mostly satisfied with the quality of work that they do on my vehicles. I am however, disappointed with the new policies and procedures since the new management took over. That is why only 4 stars instead of 5. In this day and age the vast majority pay by credit. It is unacceptable to charge a convenience fee if paying by card. Work it in to the cost of the job. Also, a 15% surcharge for black vehicles? Again unacceptable. And lastly limiting the amount of express wax vehicles so to leave room for the higher priced services is unacceptable. Hopefully management recognizes these issues that seem to be a common theme among long time clients and takes measures to resolve them, otherwise I may be another one of them that will look elsewhere for my detailing services.

My wife and I take our cars to AJ Auto Detailing and every time our cars come out looking brand new. It is conveniently located close to our house and to the Coleman shopping center. Ive recommended this place to my family and coworkers. The service is great and timely. We have a dog and a 3 year old so our cars have lots of crumbs, dirt on the leather seats, and they do a thorough job.

Gave my car for overspray removal here. They did a thorough job with attention to detail. Id totally recommend them for detailing. They are definitely not the cheapest option in town but they are really good.

I have gone to AJ Auto Detailing a couple times and am always happy with how good my car looks when I pick it up - better than when I took the car off the dealer lot! thanks AJ Auto! I have recommended them to several friends - and I know they have been happy with the outcome as well! Arrive early if possible, since they can get pretty busy as the morning goes on!

Love the service at AJ auto detailing. I always trust them with my show car and recommend them to my friends with nice cars. If your not happy with the service they will redo it for you, until your satisfied. I also love the cupons I get via email. This is my favorite detailing shop.

Great new owner. Counter staff is courteous and polite. Unfortunately, quality control remains quite bad. Ive never had my car come out from the back, and still not require a dozen + touchups.On the good side, theyve never once damaged any of my cars.

Best wash/detail in the area! Attention to detail is what its about at AJs. The car always looks fantastic after theyre done. I always get the Express Wax and always drive away happy. They blow all the water out of all the nooks and crannies so you dont get water spots when you leave.Great waiting area with bottles of water provided.
