When I was living in San Francisco I really enjoyed visiting Dr. Maus. She was great, her hygienist was great, and her front desk associate was great. I visited this office every three months, as you know, insurance pays for once every six months so I would alternate paying out of pocket every three months. Since moving, over two years ago, they continue to send me bills for visits that I did not confirm or attend. Sorry to go to the internet but I have no time to waste continuing to attempt to contact the office. Most recently I received an email on Thursday, June 10th for an office visit totaling $71.00 with the title thank you for your recent visit to our office - I would really like for Dr. Mauss office to stop sending me fraudulent bills and please remove me from auto generated emailing systems. My experience since ending patient services here lead me to believe the billing department is incorrect as 1) they continue to bill be for services that were not attended and 2) billing me for out of pocket cleanings that were on the insurance.Mistakes happen but this is continuous. If this is fixed, I will remove my post because the service is good and the employees are nice.

Melissa Maus is a true professional who is dedicated to helping her patients needs. I went in for a standard teeth cleaning and at the time of appointment I asked if we would have enough time for me to get impressions for updated retainers and if I could have one of my teeth filed down (since one was longer than the other), and it was no problem! I was in and out of the office under an hour and was back to my office in no time. Her dental hygienists are great and make teeth cleaning quick and painless. Some dental hygienists I have had in the past took forever to clean my teeth and poked my gums so much that they were sore and swollen when I would leave. I would recommend anyone to come to Melissa Maus, her and her staff are wonderful and make a teeth cleaning appointment a positive and comfortable experience.

Dr. Maus has been my dentist since 2003 and my husbands for almost that long. She and her staff are professional and extremely personable, always offering advice but never suggesting unnecessary procedures or services. Wed previously taken our 4 year old daughter to a childrens dental practice in Noe Valley and she was very intimated and scared...the chair-side manner left all of us very unimpressed. They also charged us 200.00 over the quote we were given for services they didnt complete - and that we had specifically requested they not perform - because my daughter was crying and they couldnt see her teeth. We eventually got a refund months later, but financial complaints aside, we knew we couldnt go back there without scaring our kid. When I asked Dr. Maus for a childrens dentist recommendation after our horrible experience, I was so relieved to hear that they welcome child patients. My daughter has had two appointments with Dr. Maus so far, and she now loves going to the dentist! She says she cant wait to go back so she can get more animal floss and wear the big sunglasses while the nice dentist brushes her teeth. I cant recommend this practice more highly!
