I was interested in being a client until I seen a distasteful response from the owner written 2 months ago race baiting. The response seemed very personal and the responder obviously has some underlying issues. I will not patronize a place that lacks professionalism and interpersonal communication skills. It says a lot about your customer service.

I have going here for two years now. Both James (he left) and Rachel are great. Rachel is very patient and kind. She gave me the ointment and ice pack for free. Highly recommend.

I was quoted a price for an area less that 2X2 over an 100 dollars and then when I went to the actual appointment for tattoo removal he charged me an extra 100 which made my visit over 200 dollars. My very small tattoo is still visible. After going 4 times. Never again will I let someone over charge me with terrible service just because I’m African American

Hostile employees; check the owners response as an example of the hostile behavior.

TattooBeGone is an upscale facility within Serenity Medspa, located on swanky Maiden Lane in Union Square. Treatments are administered by James Yoon, an RN who is certified in tattoo removal. James is helpful and patient, and will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable during and after your treatment. The average tattoo will take 5-7 treatments, ideally spaced 2-4 months apart (expect 1-2 years for full removal). Numbing cream and ice are applied before your treatment, and it is recommended that you ice frequently for the first few days following each treatment. James is currently removing a 3x3, high quality, color-saturated tattoo from my ankle. I have undergone 2 treatments and have achieved ~30% color reduction. I am very pleased with the results.

First, I’ve honestly never been to TattooBeGone, so I can’t speak to anything about the place itself or the experience of having a tattoo removed there. BUT I have read through their information on their website, and it’s pretty misleading. They go on about how PicoSure isn’t a great laser and that PicoSure is even being sued for saying it removes tats faster than the older tech this place uses.I don’t want someone to just see this and be misled. I feel like tattoo removal is a potentially painful, expensive and sometimes emotional process and people have a right to hear the unbiased facts. For instance, I had an ENTIRE super colorful half sleeve (including blues and greens) removed from my arm in 5 PicoSure sessions. I also had another black and gray tat removed, and a full, saturated black tat as well and those were both gone in just 4 PicoSure sessions. I’m not a competitor. I got my work in another state. I’m just a person who has gone through this journey and thinks others going through it have the right to unbiased info on all lasers available. My advice to those looking for a tat removal place is: Do your research. Remember that most places you talk to will want to talk up whatever laser THEY have. So take your time and research online. Look for unbiased articles if you can find them. REALSELF is a great resource. Lots of pics posted their of real people going through this process. Good luck to all on the tat removal journey!
