We are so lucky that Muttville introduced us to our sweet Gwendolyn (Winnie) She is such a wonderful addition to our family. Her little sister, Pixie, adores her!Senior dogs are a delight yo have in your home and Muttville does an excellent job of placing these sweet grannies and grandpas in loving, forever homes. 🥰Our adoption process was easy & thorough and weve totally felt supported in the decision to adopt from their hospice program. We know we wont have forever with Winnie, but we plan to make her time with us as loving and comfortable as we can.

The moment we saw Sadie we fell in love. She stole our hearts and became queen of the house. It didnt take long for her to find her favorite bed which was one our rocking chairs and, making it perfect for her we added several very soft blankets. Sadie was very smart: All we had to do was show her something once and she was able to do it. Sadie left us for doggie Heaven July 2nd, 2021. Thanks to Muttsville we were able to spoil Sadie for two months with love and she returned it by filling our hearts and home with love.

I could not believe how wonderful this place is. I took an old dog from our shelter to be placed at Muttville. Everyone was so nice, there were dogs everywhere which was amazing!! She is in such good hands with this group. The dogs were so happy and so calm and so loved by so many people. I can’t wait to go back. Maybe spend some time in their Cuddle Room with a couple dogs. Please visit this place, you will have a boost of life. These little oldsters have so much life.

I rescued Minnie AKA Mindy the minpin on May 14th. The process was simple and the folks were very professional and careful. After 3 weeks, I already feel as if Ive won the lottery. I absolutely love her.

My girlfriend and I absolutely love Muttville. While we havent adopted any other the senior animals available at this adoption center yet, we do frequent it to give the senior doggies some muxh needed love. This place is located around the corner from the Soith San Francisco SPCA and adopts out SENIOR dogs, most of which obviously have health conditions that need special care. Old doggies need love too. $200 adoption for single dogs, bonded pairs adopt out BOTH animals for the same $200 rate.

I absolutely adore muttville, and given half a chance I would adopt everyone of those elderly babies.The staff there are really sweet and knowledgeable. Sadly Im not able to have a dog where I live, but I love going to Muttville between 12-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays when they have an open house to play with all the dogs, and take them for walks.Its great for little kids too, I always too the young children I nannied, to visit the pups.

Have not been there just saw a beautiful senior dog to adopt. Hopefully people in this area realise older dogs are fun too and well trained. Trust your instincts and the center staff who aquaint themselves with little ones.

I volunteer at Muttville transporting pups from the shelter to a foster home, foster to a vet, and vice versa and such. I have not met a pup that made upset or regret volunteering there. These senior dogs are all awesome.

Muttville is one of the greatest animal rescue groups in the Bay Area, and Ive worked with quite a few over the years! Fantastic staff, foster parents, and volunteers who focus their love, care and resources on senior dogs who might otherwise be euthanized in shelters. Highly recommend them if youre looking to add a very deserving silver muzzle or two to your pack. Theyre so appreciative of donations and volunteers as well. I love these guys!

Absolutely stellar senior dog rescue! No dogs in cages. Its like a huge living room inside of one of Doris Days mansions. All volunteer run and the dogs are loved on and adored, 24/7.

I absolutely, positively, cannot express how amazing Muttville is. My boyfriend and I cannot have pets at our current apartment so weve been trying to go to Muttvilles open adoption weekends as much as possible to pet and love on the senior dogs. The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable, gracious, and welcoming to all people coming in their doors. Once we finally move into a place that allows pets we will be adopting from Muttville!

Not the most highly organized situation Ive ever entered, but they are all volunteers and I totally get it. The place does really, really good things, and the dogs are so sweet and well taken care of. I highly recommend this spot to any beautiful soul whos looking to give an older pup a wonderful last few years.

A friendly and welcoming site for those hoping to find an older dog for their lives. Despite the number of senior dogs who are accepted, each gets lots of affection, care and socialization so that they are ready for their new home. Staff did a great job matching me with an appropriate friend, and I always feel welcome on return visits.

Recently aadopted the best dog ever from Muttville! It was a very good decision to go there first. Awesome, dedicated staff and volunteers. Thinking maybe we need a future pack partner...

Great little senior dog rescue in San Francisco. The dogs are free range, not a kennel in sight. Just lots of beds and lots of caring loving volunteers.

Muttville is held at the SPCA on 16th St and Alabama. They offer supervised pettings with some of our 4 legged K9 that need care or are looking fora new place to call home. If you want an added addition to your home then I suggest starting by contacting your local SPCA. The staff here is knowledgeable and friendly with a real and true care for both young and old dogs.

What a fantastic organization! We just adopted a wonderful older gentleman at the adoption fair. We spoke with several members of the organization as well as the loving foster family. The process could not have been more warm, pleasant and friendly. They clearly get to know all the dogs and work to find the best placements for them. We also got the chance to meet the dog and introduce him to our dogs and humans in a family room type setting.Its all I can do not to go back and get another one today!

Accompanied a friend for an adoption, which I believe they cal fostering here. Muttville seems to specialize in elderly dogs. Very sad how many dogs are abandoned especially designer breeds. There must have been 18 various chihuahuas. Come on people, grow up.

This place takes such a good care of dogs. This is the place to go if you are planning to adopt a senior dog. If you are not sure or do not have enough time, Id recommend fostering. Just make sure you fill in the online application and have an appointment set up before you go for fostering.

A wonderful place to go to adopt seniors and mixes

They saved our babies. They came from so far away to help. I am furever greatful. And heartbroken, but thankful.

Muttville is an adorable dog rescue facility for senior dogs. Virtually every Saturday and Sunday they have adoption events, or you can schedule an appointment to go during the week.

What an amazing place! Its clear Muttville people take such great loving care of their dogs! Thank you!

Muttville advertises that they rescue older dogs, fix them up and find homes for them. I adopted a nine year old dog and when I took him to my vet for a health check, I found out he had extensive dental issues that required oral surgery. In two and half months Ive spent over $2,000 in vet bills. Muttville was supposed to cover it, but they refused after I had the surgery done. Im a senior on a fixed income. Ive been lied to and conned. I love my dog and Im going to keep him despite this horrible experience.

Its so cute inside. More like a doggie dorm than jail like other shelters. Their adoption fee isnt cheap but they do alot of medical work on the dogs. Muttsville is a really amazing place and they do a TON of good work for the eldery fur friends.
