Paid $500, legitimately scored above the thresholds for ADHD, just to be refused a diagnosis due to having a previous diagnosis of depression. They did not tell me this upfront, and waited until the end despite having that information from the initial consult.Save your money. Spend it at a real psychiatrist and get a full evaluation done by people who wont be afraid to give you a diagnosis and will enable you to get the help you need.Edit, 04/25/20: The reply below asserts that prior diagnoses wont affect the assessment of ADHD, but this very directly contradicts what I was told by the clinician at the end of my appointment. She was NOT a psychologist or psychiatrist, to be clear, and this was her stated reason for not feeling comfortable giving a diagnosis. I asked her for more details, to clarify and confirm what I understood and she repeated that it was specifically due to prior diagnoses, which happened many years ago in another country. The reply by the business below implies that shouldnt be a reason not to give a diagnosis of ADHD, so either this clinician went against policy or what they are saying below is misleading.
It was so interesting to meet Mister Kapash. He was very helpful with me.Thanks to him I have a lot of information to help me in France.
I was recently diagnosed with adult ADHD and I was blessed to find Keith Kapash MFT who provides excellent support for both my practical and psychological needs. He is an excellent listener and has given me so many helpful tools and strategies that have helped me organize my life and reduce anxiety. He has helped me work through many of my emotional/psychological stumbling blocks with cognitive behavioral therapy. I always get the sense that he genuinely cares about me which was really was important to me in selecting a therapist. My only challenge has been that our sessions are not covered by my insurance so I am not able to see him as often as I would like. I wholeheartedly recommend Keith to anyone who needs support like me. I am moving to the east coast this summer and im pretty worried about finding someone with his unique combination of expertise and care.
My eternal gratitude goes out to Keith for helping to identify what was an invisible mountain I was trying to climb without the proper gear. I will take the tools he helped me acquire to climb to the highest peaks.
