Monarch saved my life. I agreed to stay here on a one-month trial run and loved it so much I ended up staying for nearly a year. The house gave me the support I needed to build a new life. Coming home after a long day and having other folks who understood what I was going though made all the difference. The house manager, Brian, is an exceptional human being and is there to support you. Not to mention the house is spacious, very well appointed, and comfortable. The house dog was a plus for me, too :). I’m in love with my life now and I wouldn’t have been able to do it with Monarch.
This house is extremely clean. The house manager (Brian) was so helpful and nice. I would recommend this house!!!
I have nothing but great things to say about monarch. I lived here for over a year and the owners/house manager were supportive, friendly and in every way helpful. Not only are the house managers supportive, but they go way beyond making sure you feel like a part of this community in every way possible. This is a very welcoming place for anyone who is considering sober living and I would highly recommend.
Unfortunately, I relapsed and was asked to leave Monarch. The manager and owner offered no support and virtually no communication in helping ensure I made it safely to rehab or another sober living facility. I do not recommend this sober living as my experience is not uncommon, there’s a revolving door and very high relapse rate at Monarch.
Monarch lives up to its name. It is clean and supportive and run by folks who really care about their individual clients and understand what works for people in recovery. Creating a family-like atmosphere and good role modeling behavior, this is where you want you loved one to be. So grateful for Monarch and how it has helped our son.
Monarch opened so many doors for me. Brian is a great house manager and so supportive, and James is dedicated and genuinely puts in effort to change so many lives. I am so fortunate to have found this place it’s clean, spacious, and comfortable. Truly a community of people who want to help each other grow.
I lived here for almost a year and a half. When I walked in, I was angry that this is what my living situation/ life had become. To live with so many people, to be an adult living with rules, ugghh, a weird mix of anger and self pity ….What a blessing it turned out to be. Today I just closed on a new apartment, and will be moving out. I actually now feel some sadness leaving Monarch. A lot has changed, this house has been huge in keeping me sober ( a year and a half), and turning my life around from a place of despair and struggle at times… to one that is growing in value. It got me back on my feet financially as I began to finally excel at work.Surprisingly the house doesn’t feel overcrowded at all. I had been living on my own in a 2 bed 2 bath condo before, too stubborn to rent out the other room bc I felt I valued my space too much. Having roommates here has been great. I get my space, I get conversation when I want. The house is large, clean, well decorated and comfortable.Brian the house manager is amazing. He has quite a gift Id say at managing different personalities, he’s extremely easy to get along with. The house is very safe and supportive – the whole time I was there, and I attribute that largely to the positive and easy going culture Brian built, as well as Monarch.Good luck if you’ve read this far, this place did me good, may it do you the same if you end up here!!!Jason B.
The decision to go into a sober living house was not an easy one but walking into Monarch Santiago for the first time made that decision much easier. It is a beautiful home that is well furnished, kept and managed. Everything about Santiago makes you feel like this is a home more than a business. The support received and the friendships made will carry me as I continue to build a life as a sober man.I would like to give a special thank you to Brian (the House Manager) who supported me, both as a House Manager and friend.
This house is incredible for those looking for strong recovery leadership and fellowship. Very positive and high energy environment and my nephew is more at home there than he has been in awhile. James and Brian are very helpful and professional and made touring and move in as smooth as it gets. Highly recommend.
This is an incredible house to live in. Everything is brand new, its spacious, its cozy. Its a BIG house. 3 floors, 3 kitchens, everyone has room to spread out and do their own thing. Will be staying here for a while!
I’m in LOVE with the Santiago Monarch house. It is a welcoming environment that feels like a big hotel. The people in the house are welcoming and are always willing and ready to work together as a group to offer support to a new resident. As the house manager I cannot say enough good things about the facility. I’m able to practice my own 12 step recovery work daily with the residents as I watch them walk through the experiences of early recovery. I’m able to offer support and a shared experience in an extremely safe environment. The neighborhood is also a benifits. A block away from the L Taraval and 19th ave the amount of Resturant’s and shops offers great resources for those without a car. I’ve got nothing but love for Monarch.
Good
