We had a really great time! The staff is friendly and outgoing, the tour was long, fun and informative. We went under both bridges and around alcatraz a couple of times.. We took the Escape The Rock tour, I highly recommend it. Dress warm, its colder than it seems when you get out on the water.

Awesome bay view experience. Lots of information about landmarks around the bay including the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, ships etc. Not too many views of the sea lions.I do wish the performance was live and not recorded but it still was a nice experience and great to get unique shots of the SF landmarks.Make sure to go when it is not too foggy in the bay if you want to get a good view of the bay!

This was a great boat trip twice around Alcatraz to the Golden Gate Bridge and then to the bay bridge. I highly recommend people go on this hour and a half cruise.

Nice tour! I was able to move about on the boat to get better views, got almost close enough to Alcatraz to touch it. The voices pn the speaker were quiet, but the option was offered to hear it through your own device. Three levels of a good time.

It was a beautiful tour. We took the 60 minute ride around to Golden Gate bridge then Alcatraz. The boat was old and rusty looking, with the inside seating looking like it needed to be replaced. I wish the audio was a little louder so I could hear what they were saying about the sights we were passing by. Despite this, I would still recommend this tour. These small inconveniences didn’t take away from how spectacular the views were. I truly enjoyed my time.

Took mom out on the fleet and she had a good time. The view was beautiful even though the windows were dirty. Be careful going to the very front of the boat! You will get wet!😂😂 You may also use a clipper card to pay for your ticket.

This ride will take you under the golden gate and around alcatraz! Pass thru angel island and also amazing views of beautiful San Francisco! They do not land at Alcatraz thats a whole different establishment. I repeat will NOT DOCK at the alcatraz island.

Best ferry ride I have ever been on. With social distancing the capacity was very low so made it easy to walk around the boat and see views from every angle. Very clean and well directed. Drinks are $10 each but the only downfall was the bartender was a little ruff and rude.

Tour was amazing. Wet got the extra 30 mins for the Alcatraz focus.. completely worth it. Great tour

This experience could have been better with personal tour guide. With so much history in and around SF, audio voice over did not do any justice to cover these details.I would only recommend this tour just for taking some pics closer to Golden Gate Bridge from another angle.

I took the 90 min escape from the rock cruise, it takes you under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz. It also goes near the downtown docks. But if youre wearing a hat be sure to wear it tight or hold it because your hat will go flying if youre outside.

Sightseeing in San Francisco and we are glad we chose to take a boat ride on the bay. The captain was very informative. Driving on the roads of San Francisco were like roller coasters but it was nice to see from the water. The fare was fair. 😉 The boat was clean and staff was friendly. The kids enjoyed it as well.

Had a horrible experience on an otherwise beautiful day. The views are great, the boat showed up on time, but cleanliness and having adequate professional staff are seriously lacking. Dont bring a nice or even decent bike bc the attendant will just pile em all together(thats how she ‘helps’ get your bike to the rack). My wheel needs to be true’d and I have to retune my derailleur, which is not what you want when going out for a day bike ride. She’ll yell at you like you already knew the instructions. If I had to do it again, I wont pick blue and gold and just drive up to tiburan, its wayyy more worth it.Its really quite simple: install adequate racking!I also have security concerns: no one checked my ticket and if it werent for the bike debacle no one would be there supervise or assist anyone on the boat, like my disabled mother. Its just a cluster f of an operation. Not coming back!

Excellent! We got the ticket ad part of our CityPass and glad we did. Smooth sailing with some nice information regarding the local area. Nice view of the Golden Gate, but you have to be at the bow or up top to really see all the sites well. Will love yo do it again if I come back again.

The sunset part of the ride is only as reliable as the weather but it’s a good trip through the bay. I’d do the weekend when that bay bridge lights up. Id have done five stars if it had someone explaining what we were seeing and gave some history. It’s basically a boat ride.

Took the San Fran Bay cruise. It was easy to sign up and pay for. It was $34 for an adult no matter where you buy tickets. Boat was clean and looked good....from far away lol. I thought the trip was great anyways. highly recommend

Great experience!

Taking a tour boat around the bay is a great way to see the sights from off shore. We picked a clear day and had calm water in the bay. The Blue and Gold ship was large and comfortable to enjoy the sights and take photos. From the pier we went out past the Golden Gate Bridge. What a view!From there we went around Alcatraz. Finish up with fabulous views of the city and the piers. Returning to pier 39 we enjoyed all the seals basking in the sun. The tour takes about an hour. I reccomend it for all ages.

Solid ride. Went on the GoPass 90 minute ride and it felt just a touch too long. Catch the hour cruise if you can and try and get the top deck if possible. That means standing in line like 30 min prior to boarding so you can be the first on.

The service was really good. The only bad thing was the weather, it was really windy and cold.

Great for events, went with a large work group which worked very well, not as sure it would have been as good an experience with a small personal group. Boat ride was fun, went all around the bay and got some great foggy and sunset views.

I took a ride from San Francisco to Angel Island and back. I was able to get free tickets by using my GoCity All inclusive pass. The ferries are great, have a snack bar on level one and have lots of outdoor seating to have a great experience!

Great trip to learn about San Francisco

Favorite trip is from SF pier out to the GG Bridge, around Alcatraz and back. Beverages available on boat. Feel free to walk around!!! Great deal!

As part of a vacation trip my wife & I took in May of 2016 we decided to take a little boat ride on one of the Blue & Gold boats. I did a ride years ago as a kid with the other guys, but the Blue & Gold operation I would say is a little better. For those that have a few hours to spare this ride makes for a nice perfect little tour of the bay showcasing all the highlights at a affordable rate. On ours we got under Gold Gate Bridge, Seen Alcatraz, & caught sight of a few Hump Back Whales.

More time on the water. Lots of room. Irish coffee is to much for me. Clean for the age.

If I could give 0 stars I would only because they wouldn’t even let us on the boat even AFTER paying for six tickets! We showed up 20 minutes before the boat was supposed to leave and they turned us away because they didn’t have enough room for us EVEN THOUGH THEY SOLD US TICKETS.We did not get a refund for the tickets we had already purchased after they turned us away and they basically told us it was first come first served even if you had a ticket.We were obviously very confused and upset about the fact that a business would simply sell you something but not honor your purchase or even have the courtesy of giving you a refund because they clearly made a mistake in regards to capacity on their side.Also, if you know anything about the pier, parking is impossible and the traffic is awful so expecting people to think of this as a first come first serve service without even a guarantee of getting the experience even if you purchased it is absolutely ridiculous.Overall, this is definitely a scam and we know now to never refer anyone to this business if they’re looking for any kind of a good experience. It was very stressful and not something a decent business would do to people who want to simply have a good time. So if you’re looking to waste your money go for it.

Part of the Citypass vouchers to cruise for one hour going to the underneath of Golden Gate Bridge and back pass Alcatraz. Not bad but if it wasnt part of the Citypass we wouldnt have gone. Wind is a bit chilly in some parts of the cruise trip in the top deck. Great view and good one hour time spent.

Wonderful, educational tour. Ive never seen the Golden Gate from underneath before. Nor have I ever been so close to Alcatraz. The audio tour is very educational and the boats large and clean. Good for families, singles, or even a date starter.

I love the scenic beauty that the boat ride offers. Takes you bellow the Golden Gate Bridge, allowing beautiful photos to be taken, right on your phone! The boat also takes you up close to Alcatraz, allowing more beautiful photos. I advise taking a jacket or sweater on the ride, sometimes it gets cold! Overall, a great experience. I have gone on it twice in my life-time. I took these photos on my phone.

Dont try to get a seat they all get taken at first. Just go to the very top and stand by the rails. Everyone ends up standing either way. If you do get a seat get one at the top. Very fun either way.

We did a bay cruise. It was what we expected and really great. Good narration that is loud and clear enough to hear from wherever you are sitting. Good views all around. The time spent was perfect, not too short but not too long.

Great Views for the 3 Big Tourist Attractions for the Price!We arrived early in San Francisco and after some research we decided to take the Blue & Gold Fleet for our Bay Cruise. For a $26 ticket each, we were able to see great views of the Golden Gate, Alcatraz, and the great city of San Francisco from the bay. We bought tickets for a 3PM cruise. But didnt board till 3:30PM. The deal is this, ONCE YOU BY A TICKET IT IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. So when I do it again, I would just get straight in the long line. While we waited, my wife held a spot in line while I got a pretzel and coke to tie us over till dinner. Once on board we went to the front of the ship on the right, starboard, which gave the best view of the sea lions at pier 39. With the waiting and cruise time of about an hour. You can expect this attraction to take 3 hours of your time if everything goes smoothly. Recommended. Thanks for reading. Photos were taken by my wife with her Nikon D90 and look great! The blue and gold feet was the first boat I ever I been on and I had a great experience

Great views of the bay and the narration provided by the service is first class. You get a really good vista of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and the City Scape, including since really interesting facts about the city, and more specifically the Golden Gate bay. Get ready with your camera on to deck as there are so many great photo opportunities. The view of the sealions on Pier 39 from the boat is much better than it is on the pier.

We did escape from the rock your. Was a nice ride. Less the noise level from people obviously on the boat he didnt care about the nation that was playing. That being full of history and information.

Good tour, but the old rusty boat had broken speakers. Little to no interaction with the crew, but the sights were still worth it. If I were to choose again, I would probably pick the competitor (different colors with newer boats)

What a wonderful day on the Bay. We loved every moment of our journey. The stories that the tour guide shared were informative and the boat was stable. A great value and not to be missed.

I used a ferry to San Francisco from Sausalito. It took an hour and the ferry stopped by some other areas and then arrived at Pier 41. You can see Alcatraz onboard as well as Golden Gate Bridge. Single trip costs $13.

Not bad for a day trip to Angel Island - cost of a 1 way ticket is about $10. Be sure to check the schedules before you go as the weekend ferry went from Pier 41 to Sausalito, then made a stop in Tiburon, then to Angel Island so the trip took a little over an hour.You can enjoy scenic views of the city, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, but hustle up the stairs when you first get on if you want a seat by the railing! We managed to catch the bridge at sunset on the ferry ride back.Pack a windbreaker and bring a hair tie if you want to ride on deck, as it gets windy and cold even when the sun is shining.

Took the 4th of July Firework cruise. Views of Alcatraz & Golden Gate Bridge were awesome! The music they played was terrible and really loud, it made the trip a bit unenjoyable. When it was time for the fireworks, our captain did not position the boat in a good spot to view them until the end. Most of the fireworks were obstructed by the captains bridge and only the crew could see them. I overheard a few other passengers complaining about this issue as well. A little disappointing considering the price and the purpose of viewing fireworks.

The cruise is not cheap but I thought it was worth it. It was such a treat seeing the Golden Gate Bridge up close and sailing beneath it. The ferry also sails very close to Alcatraz Island, so close that we can see the tourists in the island. It can be cold and windy while sailing so it’s a good idea to bring layers.A tip to save a little on cost. Look out for coupons on tourist brochures. The ones we found saved us $4 for each ticket.

First time being on the ferry and we climb to the top and we went to the Giants game it was the most fun experience weve ever had just loving everything about it it was cold but you couldnt even tell just having so much fun in the sites that we got to see in the houses and just everything about it was amazing even on the way back the boat was clean the Russians are fine even had heat up on top which was great I just really loved this experience and would recommend anybody going to San Francisco to take the ferry it is may be pricey but it is the best experience that anybody will ever have

They cancelled a ferry yesterday with no notice, about 100 of us were stranded at Sausalito with no communication. Honestly such a shame as it was a whole afternoon wasted as I was stuck with a bike unable to get back to San Francisco
