These guys are legends - I get my hair cut by Nigel, but they all seem great. Get a brewski to sip on while your there. Normally can get a reservation online which is seamless. Reasonable pricing for SF (it’s no NYC, but most competitive pricing I could find). And the cuts are fresh. Highly recommend

Nice atmosphere and interior. Worst barber cut Ive ever gotten. Got cuts on the back of my head and splotchy bald fade so Ill have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Pricing is over the top for this kind of quality and due to chit chatting with other patrons it took an hour for a simple cut. Very disappointed. Sad because the space is nice just need to hire more polished and experienced barbers.

Stopped by to try this place as Ive been looking for a go to barbershop, and keep walking by. This place​ was not my style, and I wont be going back. I made an appointment with Zak, but was told when I arrived that he had to leave early, so ended up getting my cut from another guy. The place is a bit old school. I like the decor. But, they had some loud hip hop music playing that was not my thing, and they were talking about drugs and stuff, which was a bit awkward for me.The cut was alright. It didnt feel complete, but I couldnt put my finger on why when I was in the chair. When I got home, I realized he hadnt touched my sideburns or asked me about them, and I had to clean them up myself.Anyway, yeah... This place may be for some people, but the style wasnt my thing, and the price (which is CASH ONLY) was a bit steep for what it is at $40. I could see this being a good option if youre looking for a fade or something complex, but for a go to barbershop this place doesnt fit the bill.

All the barbers are very friendly. They offer you a glass of beer as soon as you enter the shop. I did not have an appointment, they fill me in under one hour. Barber kept talking with me and advice me on what to do in town since I am new around here. The haircut came our great, a bit more expensive than what I am used to from Florida, but it was all worth it. Probably will stop by again if I am close to their shops. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Went for a walk-in, just a quick beard trim. Got exactly what I was looking for at a good price, and the barber was very friendly and accommodating. Helps that the interior is a great, laidback atmosphere. Would def go back.

Visited San Francisco this week and was in need of a haircut, came across this barbershop.The staff were friendly, wait time was no longer than 15 mins, the cut on the other hand was one of the worst cuts I’ve gotten, ended up paying 40 dollars for a side fade and low trim on top. Pricing is way above the quality of the cuts! This place a No Go for me.

Mike has been cutting my hair for, like, 20 years. First at his spot on Fillmore (ZipZap) and now at his namesake barbershop. Best fade in town. Promise. (I havent gotten my hair cut by the other guys in the shop, but they seem on top of their game.) His new space is beautiful. Very old school without being gimmicky. If he wasnt cutting hair, Id hire him as a design consultant. Oh...and the reviews here from 6 and 8 years ago arent for Mikes--theyre for the previous salon. Nothin but love here.

Worst haircut Ive ever got, asked for a skin fade haircut with just the tips of the top and she may aswel of just shaved all my hair off, down money for the hair cut and now down money as I have to buy a hat now to cover this up..
