I always pass by this place but never have made an appointment. I was able to book last minute after Benjamin has a cancellation and I couldnt be happier.Theres an old school barber vibe going on and hes very friendly and direct. I showed him a photo and he managed to do my hair perfectly.He has a set price of $45 no matter what you ask for and will even do a beard trim included in that price.Worth coming by, but beware, he gets very busy and books up fast.

Benjamin is top notch! I have longer hair that’s difficult to sculpt and have been to dozens of barbers over the years, but he has by far been the best. Great guy that will always leave you looking sharp when you leave!

I had an amazing experience with this business about 10 years ago and was very excited to go back and give an amazing tip as a thank you for the experience many years ago. I called yesterday to make an appointment for today and was confirmed. I had meetings all day today and when I was done and getting ready to walk over to get my haircut, I had two voicemails from Benjamin stating that he needed me to confirm the appointment within 30 minutes of him calling or hed cancel the appointment. I wasnt able to do that given my meeting schedule for the day and so he cancelled my appointment despite me just making it yesterday. When I called to inquire about it, he hung up on me. Completely unprofessional and I wont be returning now. Very disappointed in this interaction.

A one-chair shop in the basement of 44 Montgomery Street. Took me as a walk-in on a Monday morning, happy with my shampoo and cut - $45. Noticed a steady stream of calls to set appointments, so I think making one is well-advised. Benjamin the barber greeted apparent regulars on either side of my cut, always a good sign for a barber to have repeat business. Recommended.

Best men’s haircut in the City! Benjamin is the owner and only stylist here. He is excellent at what he does. I have never walked out unsatisfied with my haircut or the spirited conversation. He also is one of the hardest working people you will ever meet and will come in early or stay late. Just make an appointment.

Benjamin is great! A solid haircut at a reasonable price. Appointment only, but I never have a problem getting a same-day appointment if I call first thing in the morning. The man cuts hair all day long, and takes appointments into the evening hours (7:30? No problem!).

Solid haircut. I called and got an appointment within an hour. First time going to a proper barber and Ben did not disappoint. Not only does he shampoo and clean you up before you leave, he gives you tips on your unique type of hair, and takes his time instead of just churning out customers. He styled my cut with some product (which I never do) and I walked out of there feeling 10 feet tall. Confidence is everything and nearly priceless. 5 stars all the way. If you complain about appointments and things like that, remember, you arent at Great Clips, you are at an actual barber.

I had an amazing experience at A Businessman’s Haircut.I was passing by this barbershop on my way home and asked if I can get a haircut right away. Ben, the owner told me that he has a customer coming in shortly, but asked me for another convenient time, so I scheduled my appointment the next day for 5 pm. My hair was long and out of control, but when Ben finished cutting it, I was so impressed that I couldn’t believe my eyes. My hair never looked so good and I even got compliments about looking 10 years younger. I think that I finally found the right barber and I am definitely coming back here for my next haircut! Call me selfish but I wouldnt usually offer positive review for someone where increased demand would take away from my ability to schedule appointments but am confused by a few of negative reviews and feel this guy deserves better. For anyone looking to get clean professional looking cut and some lively conversation with a total character with a lot of life experience then Benjamin is your guy. Takes his time and gets it right every time.

I get a very basic haircut - 0.5 on the back and sides, 4 on top with a high fade. He said he could do it no problem. When he said he was done, I thought he had misunderstood me. When I asked him to fade it he got defensive, said he already did his best, and asked me to leave. Maybe he is more comfortable with longer hair? Luckily Ann from Urban Salon in Glen Park was able to get me in at the last minute and fix it. Such a strange experience.

Terrible cut and service... I walked out 10 minutes later and overpaid $45 for a bad clean up job and scissor patches of hair out of the back and sides of my head. Maybe good for a easy buzz or simple hairstyle but if you want something of a bit more quality look elsewhere, either way over priced for the quality... seriously disappointed.

The older gentleman is usually a nice guy and takes his job seriously. Sometimes I have to wait a couple minutes but generally on schedule.Today I forgot my appointment after having several other cuts with no issues... When I apologized and asked to reschedule and he told me he isnt interested in doing business with me anymore and hung up the phone.Dont dare miss an appointment here!!

Ben is no-nonsense and has a wry sense of humor... and he gives top-quality cuts. Reservations required, but hell cut you at 5am or midnight if you want.

Great haircut, and had a great conversation with Benjamin. Making an appointment was handy, as my schedule is pretty packed, so I need the predictability of a scheduled appointment.
