Merdardo does a great job cutting my hair and shaping my beard.If you’re getting a beard trim, consider letting your hair grow out for a week or two, then getting a straight razor line up. You’ll walk out looking incredibly sharp.

This place is great. And Paula (who cut my hair) is Amazing!!!I use to go to a barber close to this place but the barber moved out of the city. I found this place and Paula, who I can say she’s my new go-to barber. The only thing I had to do is show a picture of the hair style I wanted (Chris Evans Captain America) and said “no problem.” She did an amazing job. She also a great person to talk too.Paula gets 5stars too! 👍🏾

Love this Barbershop Ive started to go to recently. The wood focus decor with historical figures paintings around makes it elegant.Both Medardo & Alain have cut my hair, especially Medardo is very good at doing Bald Fade. His attention to detail and technique in pursuing perfection is hard to find these days.Parking is not difficult, I can usually find one on the same street or one block away. The reservation system is easy to navigate and I have no problem securing a same-week appointment unlike many Salon needs to be booked weeks ahead.For those of you who are concern about the COVID guideline, everyone wears a mask and whenever I am there, there are usually no more than 4/5 people total at the store.

Gents Barber Club is hands down the best barbershop in the area. I have been to many of the barbershops in the Mission and while I havent necessarily had bad experiences at those places, they do not compare to Gents in my opinion.I have been coming to Gents since 2018 and the only time I stopped going was due to COVID-19 when barbershops shutdown for most of the year. As soon Gents reopened in September of 2020 and got an appointment as soon as I could and I am very happy to hear that others have been supporting them during these trying times.All of the barbers there are fantastic but I need to give a shout out to Luis who is not only a skilled and exceptional Barber, he is one of the friendliest and professionals barbers that I have had the pleasure of going to. I highly recommend all of their talented staff but definitely try and get an appointment with Luis!If you are looking for a haircut from skilled professionals that care about how you look then definitely check out Gents!

Ive been coming here for years because this neighborhood and family-owned business has never done me wrong. Victor and his crew are all professionals, and every time I try to mess up my hair, they always steer me back to what looks best :)They cant serve you drinks right now, but Id still be right back here every month if they never did that again.Prices have always been competitive and super reasonable given the COVID restrictions. Gents was recommended to me by a good friend and brother-in-law and have gotten my haircut there twice. I like being able to book a time online in advance and the staff are very welcoming. I enjoyed a beer while waiting for my barber to finish up on a client before me and was very satisfied with my haircut.

Luis is the absolute man. Trust him to show you a good time and to give you a better haircut than the one you describe to him. Ask him about his time as a jazz musician in Tokyo.The atmosphere is picture perfect, with shelves of books that span topics from lives of past presidents to business etiquette in Silicon Valley. Of course, the middle shelf in the back is where you want to focus your attention. That’s where the keep the bourbon.

Worst haircut Ive got in a while. Barber got my part wrong (moved the part line too high) and made my hairline look like it was receding. He also spoke quite arrogantly during the cut, for the quality of cut he gave me.

Ive been a regular with JP at Gents for almost a year now, and if youre like me, its so refreshing to not have to worry about how my hair will look because JP always hooks it up. Ive tried nearly every barbershop from Nob Hill to Mission, and after my first cut, I knew I found my spot. He knows what I want but always asks in case I want to change it up. Its affordable and fun too.

Nice looking shop but the two barbers my friend and I got cut by lacked very basic barber skills, you know you’re with a good barber by the way he holds the clipper and scissors, both guys didn’t have that basic skill. Cuts were not good, lots of talking and little cutting, neck line horrible, hair all over face and clothes, hair was not evenly cut, almost random, fade is shameful to be be honest. Charge me more but give me a good haircut.

Highly recommended barber in the city! I have had great haircuts by Edison, one of the main barbers here. He is personable and does a great job. This place has gone above and beyond my expectations, with Edison even staying late one night to squeeze a haircut in after a scheduling mistake.

First time there, and the staff are incredibly friendly and offer some good advice when choosing to follow a certain hair style or how to properly groom and maintain a healthy beard. 10/10! Also, the complementary bourbon was nice too!

Im going to leave two stars because my haircut was not the worst Ive ever had, but it was cut far shorter than what I wanted and to make matters worse the barber wanted to blame my previous hair stylist repeatedly for his mistakes.Pros:Product smells niceI did not have to waitBarbers were polite and friendlyWarm towel and shaveCons:If youre going to perform a 95% clipper haircut, STOP charging $40. Because thats no longer of value and I can get that from home. Not only are full clipper cuts lazy, they demonstrate lack of skill, lack of patience, typically are shaved shorter than what asked for and leaves a boxy unskilled look. I would say for the exception if youre cutting black hair and youre putting designs in it (not what I was looking for, nor did I even get an awesome black haircut)The barber obviously saw my disappointment and when I questioned him on the length he had the nerve to lie and blame it on my previous stylist, like I didnt know how long my hair was for the last two weeks. Im observant not stupid. Could have been the lazy clipper cut he had no control over? Considering it took all of 15 minutes?What really just upset me the most is when you lie to your customer and then float your own ego by saying its not your first rodeo. Be careful who you have in your chair because the person there may know more than what you think. Especially when youre using a cheap $5 Chinese made shear called HH that you obviously overpaid hundreds for. Japanese steel has never been shipped to China, you bought an American brand.I decided to be the better person and to just deal with the haircut that will grow out, but I wont be back to have my hair cut again. If I wanted this type of cut I would have just went over to Supercuts or Great clips for less You need to seriously step up your game.I wish you guys the best of luck..

Gents provides a spot on haircut experience, everything youd expect from a hip barbershop and more-- I wont consider going anywhere else.I got a truly exceptional cut from Einstein, the main barber. He is a real pro, with over two decades of experience, and it shows. It was the first time I had an all razor cut- no clippers or scissors and it was transcendent and most importantly, my hair looks awesome. Its a true testament of his skill and his understanding of my thick, curly, generally unruly hair. Also really enjoyed chatting with Einstein, he is a standup guy with great taste and had the refreshing perspective of a born and raised San Franciscan.Other than Einsteins mastery in the chair, Gents is a beautiful space, with so much attention to detail. They have a great collection of random art and history books, cool seating areas, a nice little bar selection, and beautiful row of classic barber chairs. I was definitely nerding out.A wholehearted 5-stars, without any reservations. On that note, I do recommend making reservations since they are quite busy and may not be able to accommodate walk-ins. Fair point Lewandowski is the greatest striker Poland has produced and I don’t have the face nor the hair. Robin made the cut. After the cut I went to a bar and they checked my ID! So what you say? I’m 44, more than twice the drinking age. That’s how good these guys are.

Great new trendy barbershop in the Mission with very competitive prices compared to the rest of the city. Haircuts are a little shorter than what Im used to (25-30 min), but regardless I always come out with a clean simple cut in the end .
