We watched Minari last night at Fort Mason and it was such a great experience! Get there early for a front row spot (we arrived 70min before showtime and were already behind ten cars) but managed to get one, despite being in an SUV!Definitely bring along dinner and snacks, and while you wait for the movie to start, theres a nice park up the stairs behind the lot. If the radio in your car doesnt work, they have free radios to borrow in Building D, the same building where the restrooms are.Goody Cafe was also still open but they mostly have sandwiches, pastries and coffee.Theres no intermission.

Went to a drive in movie. Summer of 85 a French art film. It was enjoyable but would have been better if the subtitles were in a larger font. Where we were parked it was essentially unreadable. Had I gotten there earlier and obtained a better parking location or brought my field glasses it would have been better (my bad). Still you could get the basic outline of the story. Looked like a beautiful film.

Lots of cool art from a variety of artists. The artists stay by their exhibits so that you can chat with them as well as purchase their unique pieces of art. From optical illusions to pop art and sculptures, there was definitely a variety of pieces for everyone. Location wise, its right next to the water so you get a beautiful view of that. Theres a Safeway & Dominos pizza place around the corner if you need to grab something quickly. Also a park/Fort Mason grass field if youd like to sit somewhere nice. I would definitely recommend.

Most tourists probably won’t bother hiking up the somewhat steep hill along the ocean to reach the backdoor entrance to this fairly small national park, which is a couple of miles from downtown San Francisco, and just a short distance from Ghirardelli Square. The main users of Fort Mason are local joggers and picnickers who want to enjoy the large open “green” space. But visitors will be impressed by the sheer size of the park in a large metropolis, by Its interesting history, and by the fact that a fairly large hostel is located there (book ahead),
