Also, there was a section of the floor that was an eye-sore from an old furnace unit that was removed. The previous owner covered the hole with just a piece of wood.Rob’s crew was able to bring new life back to the floor and repair the makeshift hole cover, blending the old and new wood seamlessly! Communication was amazing, work started on time everyday, and I was able to stay within my budget. Rob was extremely professional in dealing with us on our precariously scratched hardwood floor. These hadn’t been maintained properly since they were installed and we needed to have them refinished quickly so our house could be listed on the market. We chose the 24 hour/one coat polyurethane finish because that is all he said they really needed and was honest with his assessment. Over the course of the lifetime of my home, we have had Prestige Flooring come in three times. The first time is when we purchased the house, the second when we remodeled and added an extension. The flooring is not a very common wood and they were able to match the new wood of the extension perfectly to the old wood. Then this most current time, we had tenants move out as we moved back in. There was some major grease on the floors that when they really got started on finishing the floors, realized that it would take a day longer than originally quoted to make sure that it was done correctly. We were told every step of the way, and appreciated their attention to details to make sure our floors came out as shiny and new as possible. They were more than prompt and super clean and neat. We are super happy with the outcome and would highly recommend Prestige to anyone looking to refinish or put in hardwood floors.

Our 83-year-old oak floors have been given yet another lease of life!Although Prestige did a light sanding and re-coating, the floors look almost new. The deep, reddish-tinged colors now shine through beautifully. They make the entire house brighter and warmer.Rob, our contact person, made sure, before the job was done, that we understood that the floors would not look like new. However, as the average homeowners, we barely notice the imperfections that could only be removed with a deep sanding.Fortunately, Prestige was able to accommodate our short time-frame in finishing the job. Having now worked with Robert, Will and their team, I am ready to write one of my own.We hired Prestige Floors to rip out our old carpet, remove the tack strips, refinish and stain the houses original wood floors and put on moldings.Robert and Will were fair in their pricing and they kept their word. Their workmanship was excellent and of the highest quality. Lastly, they were a joy to work with. What more could you ask for? I would absolutely hire them again!Its worth mentioning that shortly after beginning the job, having already completed the work of sanding the floors, I had to be called away on business and we had not yet selected a color for the stain. Had a great experience with Prestige hardwood flooring with a very difficult job. We opened the wall between our mid-century kitchen and the living room, replacing the kitchen floor with new hardwood interlacing it into the existing hard wood floor in the living room. Floors came out perfect and you can’t even tell there was a remodel. Aligning the wood was hard enough between three floor substrates, but the color matches perfectly. The customer service was great and patient with our contractors who’s schedule kept changing. The price is reasonable but if you want your floors done right, I always go with the reasonable price (not the cheapest).

He was very informative and professional and left a written estimate. The company started the work within the week and was finished in 4 days. The floors look incredible. Each day the crew let me know what time they would arrive at the house and about what time they planned to leave. At the end of each day they cleaned up and left the house in good order. Rob and Will came highly recommended from our contractor, Reed Wallrich. The two gentleman met us at our house, we were running late, and they were more than on time. We discussed that we were thinking of replacing our maple hardwood in the sun room with vinyl or laminate, and they were vehemently against it. To rip out the hardwood and replacing it would have been more expensive than just to refinish, and replace the water damaged pieces. Were very happy that we followed their advice. The sun room floor now looks brand new, and gorgeous. They also recommended a great vinyl that matched the rest of the colors in the bedroom, to replace a really old carpet. Alex, the installer, was extremely fast, and was able to finish everything in three days. He even brought our Amazon package in. If we ever need new hardwood or vinyl again, Rob and Will is who well be calling. Theyre not the cheapest in town, but definitely do excellent work!

I was originally referred to Presitige from a friend who owns a historic home in the San Diego area. I’ve used Prestige on 4 projects, all single family homes. All homes had original solid oak hardwood floors. In all cases, the floors had some areas that needed replacement, or areas where new wood needed to be added. I was concerned about visual or physical transitions. Now that the work is complete, I have to look at old photos to know where the problem areas were. The 4th home is a registered historic landmark, so I was very concerned about getting it right. But again, this one came out perfect. Rob and crew weaved in the old and new wood perfectly, and the color and finish came out exactly as intended.

Rob was very personable and was very honest with me. He told me of potential problems that might exist and provided solutions to take care of those potential problems. His crew was able to start almost immediately (which is what I was looking for) and finished in two days (Friday and Monday). The first day was all about cleaning, sanding and staining. The next day was all about applying the polyurethane. There were no potential problems (as previously discussed) and in the end I was so happy with the finished floors I just had to lay on it. Prestige did a very nice job on a project that included a substantial remodel of the house (bathrooms, fireplaces, some walls) in addition to the floors. The entire team was great to work with and they were very responsive to our requests. Given that this was a substantial project with other contractors tripping on each other, we could not ask for more. Of course, there were some glitches, for example around ordering of the materials (not for the floors) and a few finishing touches, but that was to be expected. What was important to us was that they addressed any issues that came up promptly and with the highest attention to service.We would definitely recommend Prestige.

We just had our oak floors refinished by Prestige Floors.I had wanted to change the color of my oak floors for years, but was always worried that the sanding and refinishing process would be a mess. I finally decided the floor had to be updated and I am so glad that I hired Rob and his crew (Ed and Joshua) from Prestige Floors.They used quality equipment which removed the finish all the way down to the bare wood without any dust or mess. Rather than rushing to immediately apply the new stain, they spent the time to fill and sand all the flaws and cracks until the wood looked like new.When it came time to pick the finish color, they applied my selected sample colors directly to my floor so that I could experience exactly how each color would turn out. Of course this also meant more work to resand and remove the samples which they gladly did.The final clear coat finish was a 2-day process, and they were very careful to close up all windows and doors before the final coat so no dust settled on the polyurathane finish.The end results were amazing. My floors look gorgeous! I believe that I paid a fair price and got the most excellent workmanship possible. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking to make a color change or make their floors look new again.

In our Kitchen, washroom,and family room.Then in the late 1990s they put the same floors in our hall ways and two bathrooms.And now in 2013 they put new floors in our Living room and large entry hall.Each decade they have done amazing job!!!! You can not tell when or where each add on was done. They are all flawless.We live in Pt. Loma close to the water, and Prestige made sure the wood got use to our climate.
