Had heating and air conditioning in one day. very fast and down to business. installers were on time and very polite. would definitely hire them again.
The sales person was great. Alundas Havens was very professional and courteous. The walk through was thorough and my AC work amazing now. Im am very satisfied.
We bought windows which was a disaster. Took 7 months to finally get the job finished. Zero follow up once you sing and give a down payment. Would not recommend
They honestly got everything installed and working rather quickly but........2.5 days later the unit stopped working. I was clearly surprised and upset and called them out right away. They determined that the heating unit was not communicating with the thermostat. They have never had this happen before and they would have to order a new unit. No problem I was understanding until I heard it was coming from the east coast and they had no idea when it would be coming in. Mind you we live in Southern California where we have weather at 105 degrees. They didn’t offer to bring out a window unit or anything to alleviate the heat in our 90 degree house until the rest of the unit was delivered. I guess I would say there customer service isn’t up to what it should be.
This experience with Sears, the Hero Program and the Sears contractors (Quality Mechanical Professionals Inc) has been horrible. Its been 3 and a half months and its still having some problems and is not completed. I almost went into shock the first day (which was two days late to start) and could not even find anyone to help for over a week. I had to turn to the BBB for help.
When the men showed up they immediately started taking out windows and wasted no time replacing them. Their attention to detail was very impressive. Armando and his crew were exceptionally polite and move like a well order machine. I love the new Windows and the job that was done.
* Excellent, team was very efficient and professional,I would recommend them to everyone.
I love my new kitchen cabinets, they look beautiful and my kitchen looks larger. The sales rep. Ruben was so helpful and nice.In the future i will have them do my bathroom. Rey did the work in my kitchen, beautiful job Rey!! Thank you.
It was a good experience, the company was good an honored the sales mans quote.. even though the new furnace that was ordered was not correct an one to fit the size for the space cost more. The installers werevery nice, cleaned up perfectly, were quick, an finished in a little over four hours..
I was very satisfied by the work done. The installers did a perfect job. Everyone was courteous. My only complaint was the salesperson. He talked a good game, but was incorrect on many details. He told us we needed a new garbage disposal, which we agreed to and then did not put it on the work order. He stated we could keep our backsplash... NO. He sold us a sink that would not have fit. He would not return our calls. We still do not know the final cost of the project.
This group installed a new AC unit almost 2 years ago. The unit still has not passed city inspections and the company stopped taking my calls or replying to my e-mails. The company had to replace everything twice in my attic because of being improperly installed.
Sales guys were great, worked hard to get the price closer to my comfort zone. Easy to schedule appointments, had to call them to confirm install date, though. Flooring is beautiful, installers were polite and attentive to detail. My condo looks beautiful.
Eight windows replaced. Windows are great. Installation was good. Only giving 4 stars because the installers moved furniture to install and did not put it back in place before they let.
Excellent scheduling, The Sears Home Improvements Team was able to come to my house on short notice to replace a furnace. Options for replacement were explained in detail. I opted for a top-of-the line energy efficient furnace, replacement of the duct network, and addition of a vent to a bedroom that had been converted from a garage. The work was completed in one day. I also received zero percent financing for 18 months. Highly recommend Sears for Home Improvement.
Our installer was David and he was excellent. The quality of the work is clearly that of a CRAFTSMAN.
Installer made home improvement history with his expertise, hard work, and stunning results! I envisioned 10 days of pain, and got perfection in TWO! Rocky is the best!
Just got central AC installed. Sales reps were low pressure and very easy to speak with. The contractors that did the install were amazing. A special shout out to Red, who was extremely helpful, professional, and communicative during the entire install process.
When my aunts ac system needed replacing last year we used Sears. My aunt is a snowbird and Ive been looking after her place when they are not down here. Sears took care of the replacement and the experience was really great, considering what you see in the news about bad HVAC contractors. I was impressed with my experience and would choose them again.
Excellent Sears rep. Joshua and outstanding installers. Wonderful work.... love our new HVAC system...
SEARS WARNING ! Do not trust and use Sears for any home improvements. They use subcontractors. They will lie a say they dont to make the sell. And when things go wrong they give you the run around . I purchased a brand new A/C and Heating unit with a new Electrical Panel for my home from Sears and they lied and send me subcontractors to do the work . The subcontractors did the worst job ever that they had to redo half of there work before the job was even done. Then once it was done I had issues with the A/C cutting the power out in part of my home. The heater didnt even work at all. The contractors came out and fixed the heater but told me that they couldnt do anything about the power cutting out. So I call the project consultant who sold me the new AC and heating with new electrical panel because he knew that my outlet for the heater furnace possibly did or did not work because he asked and I told him that it never worked ever since I own this home. He told me not to worry that if anything else would come up during the installation that Sears would have to cover it . So thats why I contacted him and he told me that he would get back to me. He never did. So I emailed he and called Sears more than once and left messages because ever time I called and told the operator my problem they put me on hold and then told me that there was no one to help me and that someone would get back to me. I never got any response from Sears SAN Diego office . So I tried there corporate office and got the same BS . I even tried emailing them and got NO RESPONSE. So I posted a bad yelp review on the sub contractors and contacted the HERO program because they financed this project. HERO got back to me so fast and took care of everything. The subcontractors contacted me after I posted the review with pictures asking me if they could help me contact Sears. So the contractors come back once again and fixed the outlet and had to relocate my AC unit that was mounted to close to my Gas meter because that was not up to code. So to this day SEARS has never attempted to contact me. This project took 5 months to get done. May 2016 to Nov 2016. I thank the HERO program for getting SEARS to complete the job properly !
I was quite dissatisfied with the overall level of communication on the project. Things that were supposed to be happening were not, or next steps were not communicated clearly. I feel as thought every time I made a call to inform the sear project coordinator of lack of movement on the project, was when they actually scheduled things. I also did not like their counter top vendor at all. They had poor customer service and communication as well. They called me and TOLD me when they were coming instead of asking what would work for me. I informed them the time the chose would not work so they said they would figure something else out and call me back. Several hours went by so I called again to get an update. I spoke to someone and explained, then he transferred me with out telling me, and I had to explain the situation again to a new guy. This gentleman in particular spoke to me as if I was an inconvenience, and I had to drag a time commitment out of him. I also requested to know who was coming and that I needed a courtesy phone call. This is my house knowing who will be in and out of it and when is important, especially when they are strangers. He didnt confirm the info for me because he hadnt decided yet just gave me 2 name of who it could be and assured me of a courtesy call. On the day of install they were 30 minutes late of the 1 hour window given nor did I get a courtesy call, it was 2 gentlemen to my surprise as I was not told there would be 2, nor did I know their names. Just glad my husband was home with me. Their installers also left dust and random scraps of wood from the install. I was very delighted however with the sears cabinet installer vendor as well as the gentlemen they sent out to take measurements. They were great. Overall the work got done and looks good. If you go with Sears, I say make sure you stay on top of the communication because it did not seem to come natural.
Our sales representative was amazing, full of knowledge and very pleasant. The installers also were very nice, quick and did an excellent job installing the unit. Our biggest disappointment came with the scheduling department. Terrible customer service, no call backs, showing up to our home with no appointment, not very pleasant and definitely not expected from a company like sears.
I ordered 2 windows that were damaged on a fire, the windows are beautiful, from the day I signed the contract they told me was going to take 2 weeks and it took 2 months to get them and when they were ready to install they had the wrong windows so was postponed for 5 more days ( the maker company is in another state).Once they had the right windows,it only took less than hour to install them., they did a good job not messy.Everything was fine except the turn around time.Ill give 4.5 stars:)
My husband and I scheduled a consult to discuss having A/C installed in our home. I must say, we were both very excited to start this process and learn about what our options were. When I called sears, I was thrilled that they could send someone out as early as two days. However, the excitement was short lived. While I understand that sales is a high pressure job, the pressure shouldnt fall on the consumer. Essentially, the sales rep. told us that we had to make a decision, today, right now, in order to keep the quoted prices and all the perks. I must say, that we did not appreciate being backed into a corner and having this behavior justified by their motto of come as a friend, leave as a friend. It definitely did not feel like the sales rep. left like anything close to a friend. Instead, we could tell there was sulking and disappointment for us not taking the bid. But Im sorry, its our home and our investment so we have every right to have other companies come to our home and give us a presentation about their services as much as he did. We did not appreciate being told that we did not trust sears because we were saying no today. In fact, the only reason we called Sears is because we somehow still trust Sears even while every news article says we shouldnt. The main reason why we said no was precisely because we were backed into a corner and told its either now or never regarding price. I would recommend that if sears wants to earn the customers trust as he often said, it should begin by providing the consumer autonomy and trust that they will hear other offers and come back. Maybe that doesnt work for their business model, but at the end of the day, high pressures sales is not a comfortable process and it leaves the consumer with a sour taste.
Had new HVAC installed. Very sort wait between contract signing and installation. Installers were friendly and very efficient. Neat removal of old HVAC and nice cleanup after work completed.
I highly recommend Sears Home Improvement for windows. My experience was superb starting from sales reprehensive to the installer. The windows maybe slightly more expensive than other companies but the quality is worth the cost - Double-strength laminated security glass, excellent warranty, and slightly tinted to keep the heat of the sun to a minimum. I have a small house 6 windows and a sliding glass door. I have done this in phases and have been extremely happy with the professional of all the Sears Team members involved.
The roofing team arrived with all their tools and immediately went to work. They removed all damaged wood and measure for new skylights. The roofers remained totally professional and cleaned up after they finished. We were not displaced at all during the work, and received a 50-year, 100% guarantee. Where else do you get that, and if you did, would the company still be in business in 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years? Sears will be here for us.
Air conditioning specialist did an excellent installation and detailed explanation and answered all questions. It was a pleasant experience, and I highly recommend Sears services.
I contracted to have my roof replaced in January 2016. The roofers came and did the roof in February, although the skylights that were to be replaced did not get installed. I called to find out when the skylights would be installed, and was told that they had been installed. I was standing under the one that had a crack in it, so I reiterated that they had not been installed. I was told the supervisor would check and call me back with an answer. After a few weeks, I called again and was told that the skylights were not part of the original contract. I pulled my copy of the contract and it clearly stated Replace and install skylights. Again I was told the supervisor would check on it and call me back, and again I had to call back after a week. At this point, I was told that the roofers were no longer working for Sears and so the order for the skylights had been cancelled. I was told there would be a new order for the skylights and Id get a call when they were ready for installation. In June I called to find out about this, was told that the person I had been talking to at Sears had quit and all of his orders were complete. Since my skylights had never been installed, I told the new person that this was not true. Again, I was told he would check on it and call me back. Two weeks later, I called him again and pretty much heard verbatim what he had said in my previous call. I continued to call, leaving messages but not receiving any call back. In August, I e-mailed the HERO contact since they did the financing for my roofing project. He got in touch with the person I had been calling at Sears, and he called me back the same day and said the skylights would be ordered that day and would be installed in two weeks. Mid-September I got a call from a new roofer who said they had the skylights and when could they come install them. I asked him when his earliest time was, and he came the next day. Took them 25 minutes to install the three skylights, after waiting eight months and getting a total run-around from Sears. I would not recommend Sears to anyone - the customer service I received from them through this whole time-span was pretty much non-existent.
All the team members were very polite, friendly and completed the work quickly and was high quality.
Purchased 2 Doors. Everyone from the initial contact for the purchase with Bill to the communication with the project manager Darryl to the installation was great. I now feel a lot safer with doors I feel actually protect my home. Thank You.
Great job works good techs nice guys thanks
The contact the person with whom I had to work made the entire process a nightmare. He was unprofessional and beyond difficult to work with. The actual subcontractor who did the work was great, but the project was rescheduled by Sears 5 times without prior notification and a failure to communicate in a timely manner as to the reason for all the delays. The contact persons lack of knowledge and honesty was inexcusable. He was clearly not prepared to handle his job and because of the manner in which he dealt with me, I will never recommend Sears home improvement services to anyone...
I am so happy we went with Sears! I received several bids prior to installation. Its not just about the cost, its about quality, whats really included and guarantees on work and equipment. With Sears we were guaranteed a great installation, no surprise hidden costs if problems arose and protection from poor work, shoddy equipment or liens on our property. No one else could or would guarantee, (in writing) those things. The closest bid to Sears couldnt convince me they would be around in a year if our system failed. You get what you pay for. HVAC is too major a purchase to take a chance on saving a few bucks and in trade taking a whole bunch of risks.I am not a risk taker, I cant afford surprises.Additionally the installers were polite, efficient and cleaned up before they left.I recommend Sears for your HVAC needs:)Cathy Lyle
I love my floors but did not realize it would be such a mess, between cutting the laminate and grinding the concrete there was a ton of very fine sawdust and powder everywhere. I live in a condo so we kept moving the furniture around and my only complaint is that I wish the workers would have had sheeting or something to cover the furniture. I would have if I had known. However, Sears was extremely efficient. I called and had an appointment for a bid the same day, and then measurements were confirmed very quickly. The order was placed and everything was completed within a couple of weeks. If not for the mess, and what I think was poor planning, I would have given them 5 stars.
From the very beginning there were delays in the appointment, lack of communication between the service manager, the workers and myself. Not being truthful when a mistake was made. A lot of unknowns for us the customer. Scheduled time was not honored and a lot of we are sorry instead of trying to get it right the next time. Customer Service was not as high as I would have expected from one the oldest company still around. I worked for Sears many years ago and treating customers as I wanted to be treated has always been an attitude I work with.Yes to be fair to Sears they did offer me a gift card to makeup for their mistakes however it was not instant, I had to wait until the project was completed to received it. I have many projects that I would loved have had done by Sears however I will now need to think about whether I want to have the same experience or a new one which will take me going someplace else. This has been more confusion then I wanted to experience.
I have some reservations recommending Sears for exterior doors. I ordered 4 doors in Mid May and waited over 2 mos for installation. They tore out my old doors and then informed me that 1 of the doors delivered was hinged on the wrong side so I was left with one of 3 decisions: 1. Leave the gaping hole into the garage or board it up with plywood awaiting another door 2 mos later, 2. reverse the swing of the new door so that it swings in, blocking the entrance to the bathroom or 3. Install it swinging out where it hits the water heater on opening to the garage. I chose the 3rd option for security while awaiting a replacement door. Also note peep holes in 2 doors were installed backwards so that you could not look out of the door but easily look in. It is now mid October and I am still waiting for my replacement door. You have to call every few weeks to remind them, as they will forget you. The only reason I didnt give Sears a worse grade is that the salespeople were wonderful and I have had excellent experience with their appliance maintenance people.
Good crew very professional, and friendly . good work thanks steve usn ret.
The experience with the sales representative was really good, one of the best. The project management was the worst, they basically forgot about our project and we had to remind them, they sent people to measure and promise to start the following week, but almost 2 months passed and they seemed to have lost theverything measurements. The actual job was finally done well, although they could have cleaned better when th eyes finished.
A 5 week project took 10 months the first window intaller was completly incompetent and the second one was good but rude. Windows were measured wrong and I still have tp wait 3 weeks more for the last window
The contractors that installed my windows and roof were fabulous. The biggest problem I had was with the lack of communication with Sears. And that they kept coming back asking for more money due to mistakes made on their side of the contract. I was very excited to have points to spend when this was all done, but in order to pay for their last mistake they took my points back. So having that as a benefit was useless in the end. Also, I was told by the sales manager that I wasnt to speak to anyone but him, leaving me without a project manager to communicate with until the end when they asked for a good review. Again, my contractors were extraordinary men doing a fabulous job, however I would not use Sears again which really disappoints me.
30 days later i have received no locks on my sliding glass doors! No one has called back, ive call several times. Nothing but passing the buck! So disappointed. Will Not reccomend Sears to anyone
I am so very please with Sear and the contractors, They gave me my monies wort and some. If I could get the service from everyone that I hired to do job like what I got from Sears I would not have any complains, Many Thanks to Rocky (thats not how it is spelled) but thats alright he is such a wonderful worker. I have never been around someone like Rocky, very dedicated. Cupboards Installer. Many thanks to John and Junior the Counter Top installers, It was a Jackpot for me. Thanks to all the workers that makes my kitchen looks like a million dollar Kitchen.
Great service from a great TEAM!
Every aspect of the project was handled with expert craftsmanship and excellent customer service. I highly recommend Sears Home Services for any home remodeling or upgrade project.
Finished the job. Cleaned all areas. Very professional. Love the finished job.
Great quality product and installer; support staff less so
Unsatisfactory, Sears roofing contractor came out in or on 19 June 2016. No project mgr. on site. Wrong materials, and afterwards nail gun holes in Decking, not completely primed, nails showing thru carport parking, decking not secure together, professionally unsatisfactory. No one was on site to supervisor, or management. Sears would not even send a corporate employee out to follow up on complaints. My advice go with a different roofing company. With guarantees. James Tyler P.S. Bottom line the whole project/ roofing ordeal sucked. And workmanship, professionalism, all unsatisfactory not no one checked my complaints out. Besides sending flukies coming out and putting in report only what Sears wanted to see. But they call these guys management and rely on what they have put in reports. SEARS / Corporation never once contacted myself on or about this problem. Blind leading the blind. No structure, or leadership!!!!! They rely only on these flukies input. And yet not even one from S.D. District supervisor or project mgr. never even showed up or even called
In short, I wIll never do business with SEARS again. It has been 6 months since th beginning of my roof replacment and Im still dealing with complications with my contract as well as attempting to be compensated for the damages and hardships caused by the roofers. The overall service and lack of proffesionalism was sub standard to what I expected from a national company. I wouldnt recommend Sears services to anyone.
****incomplete*****So far the sales man John simon. Is awesome . Returns calls, and tries to help the best he can. However it stops there. New HVAC system installed. Installed wrong, refused the first contractor a&g heating and air to come back and fix the mistakes.( moved insulation around, put ductwork in retarded locations argued with puting air returns into each bedroom. Left trash, staples, mask tape in the attic and in the garage area.left a mess and didnt give to craps about the 20k hvac system that was installed. Even installed a vent above the thermostat which kicked the system off minutes after starting.) I had to argue with the lead contractor (Joel) from sears to get another contractor out. Once the other contractor came out he even said the duct system needs to be re-done. He did his best to rectify the sysem but still not working correctly. Living room gets to 68degrees while 2 rooms strugle to get down to 78, mean while the master and another room reach set temp of 74 or lower. The system is so unbalanced. Now we are in limbo as John the sale man tries to help us get thing going and rectified. (Sence joel no longer works gor sears.). This review will be revised once the system has been corrected. BE WARNED stay on top of the contractors or they will skimp on the work. In southern California
Sales great, installation OK!
Quick and efficient job for the right price!
Worst experience ever! Nothing was done on time. Then they left and forgot to put our skylights on and didnt return for 4 days to put them on.
It was the worst experienced and customer service. They dont deserve the one star I gave them, DONT EVER GIVE SEARS YOUR MONEY OR THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK AT YOUR PLACE! We signed a contract with sears home improvement on November 2016 to replace the roofing on our property, The contractor, agent for Sears Home Improvement, showed up on middle of January of 2017 along with a sub- contractor. The contractor and subcontractors began the work on the roof in mid-January of 2017 and proceeded to remove the old roof, leaving its surface exposed and susceptible to potential windstorm and water damage in midst of a very rainy season. Due to a family emergency, the subcontractor left the job site and did not return. We contacted Sears Home Improvement on numerous occasions expressing concern for the abandonment of the work site by the Sears Home Improvement. As result of this abandonment, the roof and interior of the building suffered major windstorm damage and damage from water intrusion. I have made numerous attempts to contact Sears Home Improvement to seek relief from this suffering, only to receive excuses, empty promises and long undue delay. Now, Sears left us with big mess and damages in our building that exceeded $100,000. We had to evacuate the units and send all tenants to a hotel until we finish fixing all the damages in addition to the lost of property rental income and tenants complaints.
Thorough, friendly, efficient and informative service.
Excellent shopping experience as expected.
The only trusted way to do home improvement
Excellent
