Writing this as I sit in the waiting room, a tow truck brought me in after getting a flat tire on the freeway. I have custom wheels and tires and they were able to help me. My wife went to get the tires on an acura swapped at this shop and the workers were telling her she was to old to drive the car. My car is dropped on coil overs and apparently this tire shop does not know what a coil over is. They told her that the car need to be fixed cause the suspension is broken according to them. This used to be my go to shop but not no more will never go there again.

Yes it was a great place to get new tires, they were fast (26) minutes even though their hubs were full (4) and it was 130.00 dollars cheaper than discount for a full set of tires for my 03 saturn. They give you a 40,000.mile warranty and 3 free rotations after 4thousand miles of driving.I definitely recommend going here.I will be coming here from now on and telling my friends and family to come here. Straight forward tire shop selling tires at a very low price!! service was good needed tires for my golf cart they got it done the same day actually in like 2 hours!! they had the tires in a warehouse offsite but it still only took less then two hours over all an awesome experience not to mention the place I bought the cart from was going to charge three times the amount EL AMIGO charged very happy..

Was very disappointed! Had a flat tire fix. One attendant said it was 20.00 dollars where it was clearly posted as 15.00 dollars. When I asked the attendant, he said cause it was late. Close to closing. When I paid the 20 he said that it was because it was a truck. Nothing was posted for that and it was a medium size truck. When I ask him why he change his story he wasnt clear.

With so many big corporate companies supplying tires these days its easy to think that there arent any local small business owners that are in this space. Pete and his guys are just that, a local family business that goes above and beyond in their customer service. People drive from LA and El Centro to come to El Amigo Tires for their exclusive product and services for wheels and tires! My wife and I will not buy tires from anywhere else.

Not everyone carries the lowrider tires I needed but these guys had them in stock, the price was right and when I got there the service was good and they mounted 2 tires and swapped one to my spare in about 45 minutes.

He will sell you tires with a smile on his face, but when it comes to dealing with a situation where he has to stand behind his product, hes a slithering snake in the grass. I made the mistake of trying to save a few bucks but ended up with tires that hydroplane and a $500.00 loss. As I mentioned hell sell you tires and pat you on the back as youre leaving but youll encounter a completely different personality when you try to return a defective product.This establishment is not Better Business Bureau Accredited. The BBB Rating system overview has rated El Amigo Tires with a C+. As you all know we depend on our tires to keep us and our families safe from harm. The few bucks that I saved was definitely not worth the hassle and most important the danger I was exposed to with their product. For the folks that are reading this and are looking to buy tires avoid this place like the plague.I have purchased my tires for years from Discount Tires at the San Diego store located on Mission Gorge Road. John Tombs is the manager at this store. He has always treated me with the utmost respect and has stood behind his product no questions asked. ***DO NOT SHOP HERE***I asked for a certain set of rims on display and was told a price for them and that they’d fit my car. They struggled getting my old rims off and had to cut off one of the metal spokes that go through the rims on my car. Next, I don’t realize until some weeks after the fact that they put the wrong set of rims onto my car. While trying to go back to this Shop, they made it seem that the customer was wrong or that I was making stuff up and undermining. He then said I’d have to pay the difference between the price of the rims that I asked for originally, pay for labor, and shipping. He continued saying “it’s yours as soon as you drive it “, If you do choose to go here, since they lack accountability and caution, take it upon yourself to double check that they did their job right.

5 days ago I requested a quote and I still waiting.

Came here a few weeks ago and asked for a used tire and they put on the wrong size. I had to find out through the dealer when I went for an oil change a few weeks ago. So if youre FEMALE beware, take a man with you because they will sell you an old 2001 truck tire for your 2011 Mazda. Also, the lady on the phone has an attitude problem when asked a few questions. No customer service. Very unprofessional.

I couldnt be happier! A tire blew out and I had to find a replacement fast. It was Saturday morning and the tire was a hard to find brand and size, I called several shops around town and no-one had it in stock and couldnt get it until Monday at the soonest. Rebecca at El Amigo Tires said they didnt have the tire in stock either BUT they would get it for me before 1pm on the SAME day. Great service! I brought them my flat tire and had a new one on in three hours. Thank you El Amigo!

Worst customer service experience I have ever received. After reading glowing reviews online I figured this had to be the best spot to pick up a couple of used tires to replace my worn out front ones. I was notified that they didnt have the same sized tires as the ones I have on the rear of the vehicle and was assured by the absent minded manager (who kept taking phone calls as I was speaking to him) that having smaller front tires wouldnt affect the vehicle negatively. As I got on the freeway there was resistance and vibration from the front end of the car and when I pulled off to the side of the road there was smoke coming from the wheel well. Turns out that I drive an all wheel drive car and it is far from ok to have different sized tires on it, and it can actually cause severe damage to the drivetrain of the vehicle. After contacting the shop and having them send out a tow for me I waited nearly 2 hours for the tow which caused me to have to call out from work and lose a days pay. Once there all they would offer was to put on 2 other used tires for with no discount. After losing hours of time and a day of work the manager wouldnt give me an inch, all he could say was Youre entitled to your opinion and he offered me a discount if I wanted to buy new tires instead. Thats right, in the middle of a complete service debacle he told me that I had to SPEND MORE MONEY in order to be compensated in some way for the terrible service I received.In short: inattentive service, no desire to satisfy a customer and a flippant attitude to boot. Never again will I go to El Amigo tires.There are plenty of other tire shops in San Diego. Do yourself a favor and pass this place by.

Came from San Antonio on a trip here to California to visit our son in Naval Base,, upon arrival we felt some issues with our tiresin our vechile..knowi kn we were leaving in a few days needed to find a solution for it..so i decided to Google some places around the area near Cesar Chavez,, it was 645pm we found these guys,, without question Chuy assisted right away,, fixed the issue gave us a good price 4 brand new tires for 2017 mitsibushi for $220,, within 30 mins..Me being skeptic of places I read the reviews all of them stated honesty, friendly, and customer service at top notch..Thank you Chuy for a great job,,leaving back to San Antonio satisfied and feeling safe thanks to you all,, I recommend this place!!

If I could, Id give them 10 stars! Recently had flat leaving work. Emergency roadside said they couldnt lower spare from under truck (due to being rear ended 2 1/2 wks prior) and had to call for a tow truck. They named a few places to tow to, and chose El Amigo Tires. Mainly because 18 yrs ago, I used to go to there with my auto tire needs. Was towed & arrrived less than 20 min. before closing). They were quick & definitely are PROS because they had that tire down so quick and replaced my flat. I made it home by 7:30 p.m.! Definitely will be back and refer anyone I know.
