Leeann was the gal who did my hair. I have blonde colored hair. She did a fantastic job! Really happy with my results. The other hairdressers I saw did a great job too. The storefront is actually on Bancroft off of University. You are better off parking there.

So they close at 6:00. I go in there exactly at 5:30 on 09/09/2021 and the guy has 1 person in front of me. He said unfortunately they close at 6:00, so I’m out of luck. No, you’re out of luck because I will never go to a Fantastic Sams ever again. If you don’t care enough about your customers that you can’t stay open an extra five minutes than you know nothing about customer service and don’t care. What time do you close? It’s 5:30? Bye bye

The worst hairdresser ever ... at first I thought she was doing a good job... now that I come home and look at the sides of my hair and the back in the mirror in detail.. I’m screaming what the hell did she do!!!!!!Chopped it abd shaved it where she should not plus messed up the lines.

We were very pleased with the the level of service we received at the Fantastic Sams on University Ave! Armand, our hairdresser, went out of his way to accommodate my elderly and handicapped mother! He gave her a great haircut, paid attention to her and made her feel like a new woman!! Thank you Armand for making my mom feel special!

Although the hair dresser who cut my hair did not listen to the length I specifically specified, I she deserves recognition for the overall job well done besides that fact.

I went into Fantastic Sams for a Haircut and color. Crystal did my color and cut and she did a fantastic job! She was very outgoing and knowledgeable about hair color and went out of her way to make sure I was satisfied! Prices are very affordable, Chi hair color is awesome and I will be going back in the future! If you are looking for a good affordable place for hair care services and people who treat you like they care this is the place! I recommend asking for Crystal or Gus.

RIP OFF. I just went in for shampoo and blow dry. The girl charged me and extra $20.00 because she decided she needed to use a curling iron. It should have been posted up front that it was $20.00 more if the operator used a curling Iron. Any professional knows how to use a blow dryer and hair brush but this poor girl doesnt. HOPE OTHERS ARE MORE CAREFUL THAN I WAS. 37.00 for a shampoo and nothing comb out is overpriced. I have very short hair. SAD SAD SAD.

I got a a good haircut took the stylist about 10 minutes.I think they should lower the price for a haircut and they would be busier.. currently its $22 😀

I had my haircut with Victoria and not only was it great haircut but an amazing experience. She was genuine and very knowledgeable. I had come in with multiple colors and did a balayage that turned out absolutely beautifully and for much less than anywhere else in north park. She goes above and beyond to make sure I got the best service possible. She is definitely my go too in San Diego.

Love my hair! Gerardo is a master hair colorist (is that a word?) and stylist. Ive been going here for awhile now, and find that every time Im there, Im treated very well, Im am listened to and I leave feeling great about my hair and the experience Ive just had. Definitely recommend this salon!

I was driving through town and got in with Linn—she did an amazing job!!! I have super short hair. She tediously added highlights, which look fantastic, and blended my hair beautifully. I definitely recommend Linn!!!

Great hair cuts for my daughter. They are very patient with a wiggly four-year-old, reasonably priced, and the salon is bright and clean. Theres a parking garage adjacent, so no scrambling for street parking, which is nice.

He did a great job but now he is leaving so sorry to see him go they all do very well thank you very much

I wanted to get my haircut 30min before they closed. I have already stepped foot inside and they denied my service for a 2 inch cut and told me to try again tomorrow morning. I went back in my car looking for another place to go, luckily I found one that closed the same time as this place

Id have to say hands down the worst place I have ever been😭omg, this place, well the workers anyways! I came in to get my hair done right before graduation, I wanted an ombre, simple. Let me tell you I was Not ready for what my hair looked like in that mirror. It looked NOTHING like the picture I showed them. For $300 dollars!! I was expecting a beautiful ombre but Noo. These two sisters who worked there at the time swore they knew what they were talking about, talking this and that. My goodness how these two chicken heads got this job from the beginning astounds me. And the other big guy who also worked there was No Help. They colored my hair an Ugly orange and thought itd look better by curling it🤦‍♀️by the time I was done I was left with orange fried hair! I almost lost it. Its a no wonder they were finally let go but the thing is to have hired these 2 dodos in the first place?? Shame on this Fantastic Sams for that. Absolutely HORRIBLE. Stick to the mall or mission valley. RIP OFF At Its Finest.

I got a regular haircut With side bangs and asked if its going be extra, the stylists said no but when I paid it was $5 extra. I didnt mind it, just better to be honest.

The lady apologized for letting me wait for 30 minutes, eventhough I had an appointment. She said she would be with me in 2 seconds but instead she let me wait for another 10 minutes. I decided to complain about the service and leave.Very rude to let people wait for this long without giving them a headsup of how long the wait will be upfront. Especially very rude to let somebody who has an appointment wait in the first place. Very bad experience.

Got ripped off. Beware of this place. New hairstylists may work here and mess up your haircut. ASK ABOUT EVERY PRICE OF EVERY SERVICE THEY DO TO YOU. They can add on services without telling you leaving you at a $200 total without you ever wanting to pay that much.

The hair stylist HE is not kids friendly.I should not even give it a star. The guy cutting my hair suddenly try to call my 3 year old attention by snaping his fingers at her and told her to seat next to the chair were he was cutting my hair. He said because he saw my 3 yr old kicking her brother.Not your problem Mr.FOR WEATHEVER REASON KIDS HAVE A NOT FRIENDLY SITUATION YOU SHOULD NOTIFIED THEIR PARENTS TO DEAL WITH THE SITUATION, IF ANY, NOT YOU!I will never come back to this FSam.
