I went to About Time after doing a Google search for watch repair and seeing the high reviews. After getting a few watches adjusted and batteries replaced I walked away not only feeling good about the service I received but I felt informed on the watches I owned. I was educated on making watch adjustments and how to contact the manufacturer for a factory reset on a Citizen Eco-Drive I own. About Time has earned my business and glancing at some of the watches being sold there I am most interested in buying from this store with confidence. Its so difficult it seems to find true professionals that want the best for the customer over the bottom line. This place definitely does that. The best thing a customer can hear is if you dont like it, come back and well make it right. I most definitely will do that.

This is a revised review. I thought my prepaid services on two watches was high until today the service that was done on my watches was five star. The one had a hand that was disconnected and its post was bent from previous owner. The other needed new crystal. Both required the face removed, witch is a little more difficult than the back. New gasket and crystal pieces were microscopic some there was a different cleaning as the smaller pieces could stop a gear inside. So higher cost than I thought were every bit legit. Pardon me About Time, you were right on time. It was FIVE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐STAR WORK.

Couldnt recommend this place more! I was looking for a watch repair shop in the area and About Time had good reviews so I gave it a shot. Mo was super friendly and had my watch fixed in about 30 seconds. Im definitely bringing my watches here in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone else.

I brought a questionable Ebay watch to get checked out and serviced and met Mo. He knows his stuff, AND hes a kindred spirit when it comes to watches. He serviced my watch, gave me an update about the mystery Ebay watch. Everything was done expertly and completed early. I will definitely go back for all my watch needs in the future.

Had a great experience here recently. Walked in with a watch needing a battery and straps replaced. Got in and was done in less than 5 minutes. They were happy to help answering any questions I had regarding watches and maintenance. Overall great experience. Parking though can be a little tough to find.

Very nice store and great service! I came in to change the battery on my watch. The man that greeted me was very polite, he said that it would take just a few minutes and ended up replacing the battery in less than one minute! Very impressed by the fast service, I was in and out of the store in about 3 minutes! I would highly recommend this business for any of your watch needs.

He immediately began working on the many watches I brought in for battery replacements and resizing, the prices that he charged were great, and he quickly proved to be one of the most personable individuals Ive ever met. It was truly one of the best experiences Ive had in any store, and I would highly recommend About Time to anyone.

This place is amazing. I just got a Pebble Steel and wanted to replace the leather band with the metal one. I walked in with no appointment and the new band was installed and sized in minutes. They dont take credit cards and the owner kindly let me walk out (with my watch) only to laud me for returning so quickly.

Wow! I bought a Nixon watch for one of my closest friends here at About Time. The gentleman behind the counter was courteous and gave meso much information to work with. That is a rare thing; most salesmen simply try to upsell you. Not here. He genuinely wanted me to be happy with the product that I chose for my friends gift, so we literally spent an hour talking about all the choices. Im not sure if this is something that he does with each and every customer, or even his repeat customers...but when I need another nice watch for myself or someone else - Ill be back to find out for myself.

Went in to get a battery replaced, took the gentleman less than 5 minutes and we had a nice little chat during that time. Extremely friendly and the guy there knows his stuff. Mo was great. Fast, friendly and reasonable prices. Would recommend to anybody. My G Shock had issues syncing the hands to digital after battery replacement but that was the watches fault (common g shock thing). and I fixed it via a hidden menu.About Time is definitely worth the trip. Ive brought in watches from cheap to almost irreplaceable and Mos approach has always been the same-- friendly, honest and professional. I never felt like I was judged or that the level of service I got depended on the value of the watch. Thats why I recommend Mo every chance I get. He seems to really enjoy what he does and likes people, too. Also carries an interesting collection of very nice watches.

Great service. Mo is great. Not cheap but he stands behind his work. He installed a new spring in my antique clock. Unfortunately, a few months later. the spring broke. Not his fault old springs sometimes break. He fixed it for free! I am guessing he lost money with the work on my clock but that didnt keep him from being super nice. He even offered to reset the speed if it didnt keep good time at any time. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone needing clock service or repair! Looks like he has some nice items for purchase if you are looking for a unique gift for someone.

About Time is an exceptional establishment. They have such a wide selection of fine time pieces. I have taken a number of watches in for repair and cleaning, in addition to having a house call to fix our Grandfather Clock. The service is quick, efficient and perfectly accurate. The family run business is successful because of the customer service, affordable pricing and the attention to detail they provide. Highly recommend!

I came in to About Time because of the high reviews. I had come in to see about getting a family heirloom (Swiss made, 1959 Croton 17 Jewel automatic) cleaned & possibly serviced.The man behind the counter was curt, interrupted me, and treated me as if I was wasting his time.He was argumentative and cocky.He may know everything about watches, but nothing about treating a novice with respect. Apparently the customer is always WRONG at this store.I would not recommend.

Great service. I had 5 watches needing new batteries. I stopped by in the mid-afternoon last week & the owner was gracious, accommodating and changed all of the batteries quickly. All of the watches are working great! He has one highly satisfied customer here!

I needed a band for a watch so I tried this place. The owner was incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. He measured what I needed, showed me my options, then he replaced the watch band for me, checked the battery and reset the time. It was quick and easy and I left with a huge smile on my face. I will definitely be back.

I had been to several clock repair shops in San Diego. I was notimpressed as after a relatively short time the work performedfailed. About Time repaired an antique regulator clock of minewhen everyone else said it could not be repaired. Moe did itand it runs beautifully. The shop is spotless and Moe is an expertand a gentleman. Mo was great help, I originally stopped by from out of town and had a time piece of mine resized. Not only did he resize one of my time pieces but he went the extra mile to resize a second one at no extra cost. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I had an old family heirloom, a Gilbert wall clock dating from early 1900s, which I have had for years, maintaining it at a clock shop I trusted in Michigan. After moving to San Diego it stopped working and I took it to another local shop. After they had it for three months, I finally picked it up and brought it here. Mo tried to fix it but explained that for some unknown reason, the other shop had ground down a critical part of the movement and it was not repairable. He fitted it with a quartz movement but assured me if we could find another movement he had left it so he could re-fit it back to original. After I found another clock like it on e-bay, true to his word, he took the best of both and I now have my treasure ticking happily on my wall again. He was tenacious and understanding of the value of the clock to me. I will take all my timepieces to him from now on and recommend this place highly!

I arrived just after opening and was geeeted by the friendly owner. He replaced my watch battery literally in two minutes, charged a super price ($11!) and sent me on my way. Highly recommended.

Ive been here twice: once to get the pins in my watch replaced and another to get a new battery. Both times the guys were friendly and professional, got the job done in under five minutes and charged almost nothing for the parts and labor. Im coming here for all my watch needs because, honestly, I couldnt find anything wrong with the place!
