This was SO much fun, I highly recommend it. We live here in San Diego but hadnt gotten a chance to really see the city. We rented the moped scooters and drove around for 2 hours. The tour is guided and gives you historical facts about each major location you pass. I think the scooter is a way cooler way to see the city and 2 hours was way too short. I think you should book the scooter for the entire day and ride it around, stop, have lunch, grab paleta, go on a longer tour route. Its totally worth it so youre not rushed to return it on time and really get to take in the city. We will definitely be doing this again when our family visits. Thanks to the awesome staff too!

This is a wonderful way to see the sites of San Diego the cars are clean and safe. The planned route is fabulous you will see the historic areas and museums. The tour of the Marina and the Naval ships is exciting. The electric go car is so fun and you have the independence to enjoy yourself.

The craziest and most fun way to give a tour! Easy to drive, gives the option to learn or to just drive around. I wish it would give options if the roads end up closed, but otherwise a cool experience.I recommend the morning because there are less cars :)

We rented the Vanderhall and took the tour of Sunset Cliffs. It was beautiful and so much fun! Would definitely recommend if you like driving a fancy car with the breeze in your hair. The staff was really helpful and professional. The GPS system was the best Ive ever experienced, I want it for my own car! Thanks again!

Love the scooter rentals, were really fun to ride. The surrounding area looks a bit shabby and deserted but the renting experience was fairly easy. Went until the board-walk near the shores

Did this tour on vacation. Had a really good time. At the end we got lost but thanks to them we were able to get back on track quickly. Highly recommend if you are traveling to San Diego and want to learn more about the historic landmarks of this beautiful area.

Super fun, it was a really unique experience getting to know the town throughout the tour.

Overall it was a fun experience. They are complaints on here that the GPS telling you to turn after you past the turn. We did not have that GPS experience. But if you do go too fast. It will not give you all the information on the site it is telling you about. It will move on.Now to get to some parts of town you drive on heavy used thorough fares. IT CAN BE SCARY. In addition the ride is Rough. You will feel every bump.

First time going to California and wanted to see the area and found a GoCar Tours video on YouTube and had to book the Blackjack car! My boyfriend and I loved driving through the mountains and seeing all the scenery was absolutely amazing! Would definitely recommend and book again for future visits!

I admit- I was a little nervous to ride these cars in the city- but omg- so glad we did it. Such fun and a great way to see San Diego! Loved the info the gps tour gave- although I could have had more- but over all such fun. We took two cars out with our teenagers. They loved it too. Service was great, too. I recommend!!

The go car ride was really fun and definitely recommend doing it if you’re visiting SD. We were looking forward to it and had a day planned with other activities, however even though we made our reservation two days in advance, we had to wait for an hour!! because they didn’t have any cars available. Definitely something they need to get control of. I understand people can walk in and rent them same day but people with reservations shouldn’t have to waste an hour waiting for others to return their cars.

Our family had a great time touring San Diego in the go cars. Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn about the area.

Wow.. soo much fun. Were from Dallas and we spent most of the week in San Diego so I got the 1 hr tour, wow was that a mistake. If you do this.. you have to do the 2 or 4 hr tour. The guided GPS is amazing.. so much history and knowledge, and that lil machine is hilarious.

The staff was professional and informative if you’re in San Diego this is a must… definitely a highlight of my trip.

We did the 3 got tour to Loma point, ocean Beach.. It was awesome, the cars drove well, the gps tour was on point, and the tour was fantastic, I definitely recommend.

First time in SD was a pleasure. Showed up early, left the shop early, was running late on return and it wasn’t a problem. Showed how to use the equipment we rented well. Our tour was really quick, but overall very Great experience!

Very upset. We were rushed to grab our helmets and get into the cars to leave without the cars being properly setup. We couldn’t hear the tour because the instructions weren’t clear and it was very frustrating. The worker acted like we were stupid for not knowing how to turn it on when we brought it up at the end of the tour. Previously had a good experience in San Francisco but this location was not a good experience.

Everything went well, but one of the rearview mirrors fell off partly into the tour. We had to wait for 25 minutes when we were told 10-15 minutes. Other than that, it went well. We did the Point Loma Tour if it helps. We couldnt do Ocean Beach since we ran out of time.

We rented the Phat scooters in San Diego. Customer Service was excellent so gave an extra star. Unfortunately, the scooters are horrible. They are really tippy and don’t corner adequately. I am experienced scooter rider and these are dangerous. On San Diego streets on the flat you have to lean to keep them upright because of gutter grading and poor scooter design. While they are billed for 15 year olds be advised that you are driving thru heavy traffic of San Diego on the main roads. We return ours early and would not recommend.

First time visiting San Diego and this activity is a must! You will not regret it! The staff was very helpful and the cars are easy to navigate.

We did this in San Francisco a couple of years ago and it was way fun.. The San Francisco seemed to be more fun than the San Diego tour.. Had 3 carts in our party, one of the GPS audio tours did not work.. The carts ran mediocre.. The electric bikes look like more fun..

I prepaid for my reservation, when I showed up late they had already given away my rental. Being that I prepaid for the rental I would have expected there to be a car available even if I was late. They then deducted the time that it took to get a new rental off my time.They focus on maximizing profits not honoring the clients who have prepaid for a reservation

Such a fun thing my boyfriend and I did together. We did the scooters to Coronado Island and had so much fun. We are definitely planning on coming back.

It was definitely a unique way to tour the city. However, the cars max out at a certain speed (I think 30mph), which is fine, but at a certain point the GPS started telling us to turn after we had already passed the street we were supposed to turn on. Once you’re off the pre-programmed track, the GPS does NOTHING. No redirect, nada! You’re left to figuring out where you were supposed to by using a laminated map that you can barely see street names on. After spending about 30 minutes driving in circles downtown on one-way streets we pull over and called the office. She helped get us back on track after we told her where we were, however she said we were going too fast, and the GPS wasn’t keeping up. The car maxed out at 30- you can’t “go too fast” (oh- and the speedometer doesn’t work). Frustrating to spend 30 minutes of your trip driving in circles because the GPS is subpar- and in the floorboard so you’re left with only hearing where you’re being told to turn. If you could see what was coming up next, that would be helpful.

Great way to see the San Diego if you’re new here and want to know the good spots to visit later on! Brought my husband for his birthday and he enjoyed it very much. I suggest bringing a sweater we were popsicles at the end. Overall great prices and very fun! Would do it again!!

Super fun ! Must do if given the chance, they scare u into paying for the insurance in case of an accident and we got lost for a little bit, the street traffic kinda sucks from people just being rude and cutting off the little cars u drive but awesome way to see the city ! We did just the quick 30 min tour definitely want to go back and do a longer tour !

It was really fun. The only bad thing was when my fiance and I drove by fifth street, the gps told us to make a right after we past it. the rest of the trip it seemed to be on track with it except that little detail. luckily we didnt get that lost, but it was a bit annoying having to go around in a square because of the delay.

The two of us rented one of the Gocars and went on the hour tour. The woman who checked us in seemed in a rush and told us to hurry back before it got dark. We started our tour and everything seemed great until we noticed that our tour seemed to go on and on. It started to get dark and we started to get worried for our safety due to not having any headlights. At about 5:15 we called in because our tour map was still going. The guy said we took the wrong turn and followed the wrong color line. We never were told what to follow except just to follow the map. We told him we worried about our safety driving back due to not having lights. That is when the man mentioned to us that there were headlights. No one ever told us this nor was this ever mentioned in the training video!!!! When we got back, we explained exactly what we did and how we were late. He accused us of taking the wrong turn and acting as if we did this on purpose (although we had picture of the map and when we called in). He ignored the fact that we mentioned several times and had even called prior to arriving about our safety. He said that because we were late that we were going to get charged for the extra time. He saw that we were getting upset and said have a goodnight rushing us out. We asked who was the manager and he finally said he was. It wasn’t until then that he said he wouldn’t charge us for the extra time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this FACILITY. THE STAFF DO NOT care for your safety. The manager is rude and not professional at all.

We arrived in the morning and were able to rent a Go Car right away. Marlon was very helpful and professional.A word of warning, the routes seem impossible to do in the allotted time and it is a dollar a minute if you go over. We were fortunate in that we know San Diego and did the half hour route, it still took an hour to do it which is what we were allotted time wise.It was super fun and we had lots of people smile, wave, and give the thumbs up!!!I totally recommend this!

This place does not honor what is posted on the gocity site. We wanted to rent scooters and because we did not have a reservation they said there was nothing they can do, even though the site says nothing about having to have a reservation.

This is a great place to go to have a small tour of the city. The hour tour takes you to Little Italy where you’ll find all the happening food and drink places. You can park the GoCar and grab a bite to eat and the tablet will guide you back to the route. People in vehicles respects the little GoCar so you’ll feel safe while in it. Honk and wave at folks while you drive by to make your time even more fun.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this, but it was so much fun! We upgraded to the electric vehicle and it was great!!!!We had a blast getting around and seeing everything. We made it all the way down to the tide pools which was super fun too!We will defiantly be back.Also thank you to Marlin who helped us upgrade and made the whole process easy!

What better way to tour sections of the city than to get your own Go-cart. We upgraded to the fully electric car. It was amazing. The navigation was great and the automated tour guide was informative. We really enjoyed ourselves and the scenic views.

First and foremost the start up was nice and easy. After that it all goes down hill. After the video they give you a helmet (not a very clean one) and have you get inside the car, the instructor goes over it with you cool. Then the lady TELLS you where to drive your gocar...the GPS does not work and you have to listen to where shes telling you to go or else you will be lost on big streets in a little car. We werent on the tour for 30 mins before our car started to die and we had to pull over and eventually drive back to the place. We simply left because we did not want to hassle with anymore of their cars.

Just finished our tour ! Brought my mom for her birthday and my sister(: We aren’t originally from San Diego but always visit the area and always find ourselves at the same spots. So I thought it would be cool to explore San Diego in a different Way and this was the perfect way to do it! We had never done anything like this and it was so much fun ! I highly recommend trying this out, we learned a lot about San Diego that we didn’t know before(: The staff was super sweet and very helpful and made us feel very welcomed !Thanks guys! A decently good time. The navigation system isn’t very good and one of the speakers in the vehicle wasn’t working so with the loudness of the vehicle, the road, and the wind it was impossible to hear. Because it was so difficult to hear it was difficult to follow the navigation therefore we got off of the guided tour various times. Once you get off track the navigation offers zero help you get you back on track. It just stops talking and does not redirect you. It could have been a very cool and fun experience but unfortunately it was subpar.

My family and I explored the old and new town of San Diego in these mini GoCars. It was so much fun! The children loved it. We laughed tremendously. They are attention catchers. I will definitely recommend taking the tour. The GoCars are equipped with a talking GPS. So while you tour, you are also being informed with the towns history. The only down fall is when you get off track, the GPS stop talking until you back on track. This is a must do!

Hard to find things to do that are safe during COVID-19. This definitely was a great choice. We rented the electric scooters. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Everyone was wearing masks. They sanitized all of the scooters before we went out. And we had a great time riding around the city, seeing the sights, and enjoying the fresh air, all while maintaining our distance from the crowds. We would definitely do that again - Highly recommend.

I’ve lived in San Diego for four years and never really had the chance to explore. These little carts were able to help with that! GPS and storytelling guidance was perfect and helpful. Found a few new spots I didn’t know existed! Worth every penny! Would highly recommend. Super friendly staff as well, had a little malfunction with on of the carts half way through the tour and they responded within seconds and had us in a replacement shortly after.

Super friendly people, got us all set up for a few hours of fun with a tour around San Diego. They even held our luggage for us as we were catching a flight later that day. Excellent service and very helpful!!!

Been stationed in San Diego for 17 years and didnt even know this business was here!! We decided to try it on a whim and it was an amazing experience for us all. The cars/motorbikes were fun to drive and the public was in awe, waving and beeping at us as we followed our tour. Was a great way to get out there through this Covid situation. The guys were friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely do it again. I recommend them to anyone wanting to get out and learn something about this amazing city!.

We just got back from our GoCar San Diego tour and it was a blast. It was self guided but was easy with the ipad map, directions and narration thats is included with the Gocar. . If we had more time in San Diego we would do it again. We used our GO San Diego card for this tour which includes 30 minutes but we added another 30 to it for the 1 hours tour. It was Fabulous

My wife and I did this and it was a lot of fun. We went for an hour and we had to go back before we could finish the tour route. I wish I would have known that would happen and we could have chosen a longer time. Regardless it was still a very fun experience and I absolutely recommend it!

I ordered the upgraded electric newer car, upon arrival for my pickup appointment, i was manually downgraded to older busted, dented small gas version. I was told by the check in Associate that they dont understand how i was able to book that car, and that was that.

This was so much fun! We got ourselves lost (we always do) but we were able to find our way back. The office manager is wonderful. I’d do it again tomorrow!

Wanted to try out e bikes before purchase . This company had good rates and nice bikes . Easy to ride and close to bike trails . We went to the beach and it was a fun experience.
