Great place to get your nails done. Sandy is talented and knows what she is doing. Her work is always 100 %. Very friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Definitely would recommend, especially if you like nail art.

This lady overbook and dont have time to properly accommodate each individual client. I tried scheduling another appointment I was told Ill get a call back and never did. I text and no response. The shop is not the experience wemen look for when wanting to get pampered. Also,discrimination is not a good quality to possess when conducting business

I was visiting LaJolla and flying home the next day- was gonna buy a groupon for this place but stopped by to make sure I could use it the same day. It was a weekday around noon and they told me not to buy the Groupon, they’d just match the price and that if I came back in 15 minutes they could do my gel mani. It’s small, just a mom and daughter, nothing fancy (though they do offer you an apple mimosa). Mom did my nails, didn’t speak much English but did a GREAT job. I’ve gotten a few gel manis but ultimately bought an at-home kit cause I feel like a lot of times salons don’t put enough care into their work. My hands were a mess after a week in a 3rd world country, constant hand sanitizer, forgot my hand moisturizer- by the time I was finished there was no more dead skin and my nails looked great. The daughter had to leave to pick up her little girl from school so I was waiting for her to come back to pay- I told the mom I wasn’t in a hurry, I didn’t mind sitting and waiting. I guess she felt bad cause she knocked $2 off the price so I didn’t have to wait! My biggest regret is that I live on the east coast and can’t make it here regularly. But next time I’m in the area I’m definitely coming back!UPDATE: the photo is 8 days after the mani. I’m a nurse and because of all the hand sanitizer and hand washing even gel manis don’t last more than a week for me- but it still looks perfect!

If I could give this zero stars I would. I called to schedule an appointment in the morning for around 1 pm. They told me that time is too busy and to come at 5. When I showed up at 5 the lady told me they had closed early because it was slow and to come back two days later. Very unprofessional. Would hardly even talk to me. I will be refunding my Groupon and never returning. Don’t waste your time here, don’t even know how they are still open.

I had an interesting experience to say the least. But I will say hands down the best place in San Diego for Gel Manicure. Other places cant beat the price. My gel manicure lasted a whole 2 weeks. She guaranteed the job for 14 days. She took her time to make them perfect didnt care how much product she used, as some place count the number of coats and time they spend on you. I been to a few places since I move to San Diego and this spot has my business now. Thank you Royalty Nails. By Appointment Only. Call ahead of time and during business hours.

This is my first time giving a one star review. Most if my reviews are 5s. If I have a great experience, I assume its a great business. If I have a bad experience, I generally assume the person was having a bad day. This place? I honestly dont know how this business is still afloat. Maybe the owner has a rich husband? I have no idea.

Only reason Im even giving 2 stars is because my mani came out okay. My pedicure sucked honestly. She didnt take ANY of the dead skin off my feet. She couldnt understand what I was asking either so I didnt get what I wanted with the shape of my toe nails but honestly, thats not a big deal. I get pedicures to get my feet smooth. She pretty much just soaked my feet and removed my cuticles then painted my nails. My fingernails are just okay. Theyre pretty thick but thats personal preference.Also, I got the DELUXE pedicure. There was nothing DELUXE about it.

Pretty good salon. Came here for my birthday as a gift and it was my first time getting my bailed done. Overall not a lot of color choices but there were nice colors.The place however was pretty dirty and did not look very professional. The owner didn’t talk to the customers at all and was rude to some people who came in

Very unprofessional. I had an appointment for 230 and was finally seated at 255. The nail tech I had was fine, however she didnt seem like she wanted to get started. She was preparing for something else while I just sat there (It appeared that the 2 techs were debating who would do my pedicure). The other tech (I believe also the owner) had no customer service.

So its not the most glamorous place with all the extra dazzling things that come with a nail salon but the prices are great and the owner and her sister are polite and very reasonable. I think the quality of their work is also good. They stayed open a little later just to finish my nais. My gel has lasted almost 2 weeks now with no chipping. Will be going back!

Staff was friendly, but small color selection, and my pedicure is already messed up less than 24 hours later. Also, one of the employee’s young daughter was in the store, and she was grabbing my hands, climbing on my legs, etc. Her mother did not tell her daughter to behave at all, so it was not a very relaxing experience

The best gel manicure Ive ever gotten. After almost a whole month that included a trip to Hawaii, field work in the dirt, and deep cleaning an apartment, my nails literally had no chips. Just went back to get them redone only because my nails had grown out. The ladies are very nice and offer complimentary mimosas or other beverages. First nail salon in PB and its my new regular. They will price match the Groupon so dont buy it!

Update 11/05/2020 I decided to give them one more try and nope still rude and unprofessional.She texted me and called me a liar, I wish I could attached the text feed but seriously the rudest people work here.1/2020 read the reviews before going here! I made the mistake of booking it through Groupon! Very unprofessional and rude! I didn’t even go to my appointment because of the text messages that the owner had sent.

Awful service! They even dont do acrylic but they say we do. They need to learn to behave. Terrible!!! Unsatisfied! Never go again!

Avoid this place: For starters I called their number 4 times during their posted business hours (confirmed on their voicemail greeting) until I FINALLY reached someone by phone. The seat was a massage chair but both arm rests and side stand were disgustingly dirty. Looked like they had old sticky gunk on them.The final straw was they charged me extra money for a buff and shine AFTER the service instead of prior.. Shady practice.I’m a guy, no nail polish (included) needed, just buff the nails and make them look good like anywhere else I have been..Short version: answer your phone during business hours, clean & sanitize your equipment, inform your customers of upcharges PRIOR to service. Simple.

Had a Groupon so decided to give it a try. Definitely not as good as other places Ive been to, there was only one person and she did both my moms and my pedis, but I had to wait until she was done with my moms despite the fact that we had an appointment.

The owner and her sister do a great job. My gel manicure lasts almost 4 weeks.

DO NOT COME HERE!This nail salon is very, very dirty, small and disgusting. None of their tools are cleaned properly and the place is poorly lit and cluttered.No joke this happened to me... The rude woman was talking on the telephone to someone the entire time while doing my nails. Mid way through applying my acrylic nails got up to use the bathroom. She went to the bathroom with the door open and then NEVER WASHED HER HANDS and came back to finish applying the acrylic.Horrific, the place was cheap but needless to say could lead to diseases.

So I bought a groupon for this establishment and automatically the owner was rude and nasty. She had an attitude. I couldnt even ask a question about the my deal. Than after her nastiness she proceeds to tell me I can cancel my groupon. And this is the owner of the shop. I would hate to meet the technicians. I can see if I was rude to her. But I couldnt even make an appointment without the woman on the phone being so rude and when I asked her name she would not give me her name. Not a lastname just the first to complain. I would never recommend this place and groupon should definitely take them off of their list.

Got a Groupon for 3 gel manis and 3 deluxe pedis as a gift but my fiance didnt know the difference in acrylic and gel well they wouldnt let me pay additional for a fill. Essentially she charged me for a fill but did a horrible job! Was extremely displeased with work. Deluxe pedicure was nice but I honestly wouldnt come back here. I still have 5 deluxe pedicures but dont plan on using them.

I just walked in for a mani/pedi, and she told me no because she was busy. There was literally no one in the salon...she said no because they usually get busy at 10:00. I definitely wont be returning here.
