Always Pleasant and clean during the pandemic they were open and accommodating to the community serving with a smile no more pool table no more bar but you can sit there on your laptop and do your work and still have small meetings what are two people and by Ambience is great
The hotel and staff were fantastic, dont listen to all the negative hype. This is a historical building. Its not cookie cutter and brand new. Its got great character! My flight was delayed due to hurricane Ida. We checked in at 3:30am and we encountered the wonderful SAL!! He was pleasant and helpful. I wanted to change my room and he was so accommodating and honest. But really, all the staff I encountered in 5 days there were fantastic! They had helpful info about the city, restaurants and sights we had to see without breaking the bank.My room was on the 12th floor. I got a city view and 2 queen beds. My room was huge! The bathroom was brand new but was refinished nicely. My refrigerator didnt work which I notice until the next day. They had a new fridge in my room in 10 mins. And I mean new; out of a box with Styrofoam. I also wiped down my whole room due to covid. Its my test. All my Lysol wipes came back clean when I looked at them. No dust or dirt. When I left, my suitcase felt a bit heavy from my souvenirs. The staff literally found a luggage scale and new batteries to weigh my bag!! Seriously, who does that?So yes, I gave this place five stars. It deserves it! And if you have time, try to visit the vault. I was here for a wedding and the rehearsal was in the banquet room and the vault. It was amazing to see the history!
Located in the middle of all the action, plenty of resistants, bars and a lively night life scene. Great rooms and good hotel accommodations
I was referred to this hotel by our Marriott timeshare ( which was booked on the dates I requested) I was not expecting to be in a city/business type district nor that no parking for the hotel guests except a valet at $50 per night available. Sure there are other public parking near by but no in and out allowed and those garages do not stay open all night leaving you locked in/or out at closing. The location and parking accommodations really was a disappointment after a long drive from Northern California. The room itself was nice however this hotel shares the building with The House of Blues and if you book a room with two beds you will hear the repetitive thumping of the music until 3 am. You also get the conversations and noise of the drunk guests staying there walking in the hall. The rooms are NOT insulated well.( all rooms with 2 beds face the street and get the music vibration. Only the king bed units dont hear the night club music. This info comes from the hotel staff). I asked to be moved to a king bedroom unit, although these are more expensive I found it to be quite smaller than the two queen bed units and the view is terrible. These rooms are located towards the middle of the hotel and the view is of walls and equipment. The plus was the quite at night.
At check in the front desk didn’t have a customer but after making me wait treated me like I was an annoyance. Then the next day when the front desk needed to give me something they asked that I come down to them rather than bringing it by.That is all fine for a 2 star hotel. That would be more accurate to the experience I had during my stay. The lobby was beautiful. The rooms were dated.
Fine place to bring in your family in gaslamp quarter. They offer parking(mostly have to rely on valet parking). Customer service is excellent and the rooms have all needed amenities.
We had a wonderful stay here! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and I’m very particular about a clean room. We utilized the valet service almost daily. That was a lifesaver because parking would have been a challenge. It’s a great location because there are some fantastic restaurants all within walking distance which was nice. I will say the homeless situation in San Diego is out of control now. Born and raised in CA and being away for 6+ years and then coming back for a visit, I was disgusted at what the city has become. It’s really sad. So be prepared, you are visiting a major city and if homeless is something you don’t want to see, don’t stay downtown. It’s everywhere and not the hotel’s fault. As for the hotel and mine and my family’s safety, we felt safe and secure at this hotel. Valet is 24 hours and there is always someone out there. There are always people working inside the hotel. Everyone was extremely friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It would always be my first choice. This hotel is gorgeous!
Positive: I loved that it was an old bank from 1879-1927 and they kept many of the original architectural features. The location was amazing and literally a short walk to everything in Gaslamp. Negative: Valet was $50 (most I ever paid) and not helpful, just standing around only for valet. The girl who checked me in was very rude. I asked for an extra pack of wipes on our 2nd day and was told NO by the same girl, only 1 per stay. 1 of 4 elevators broke.
Absolutely stunning hotel. Rooms are comfortably sized, considering hotel is in a historic bank building. The only negative was the parking, its $50 for overnight. The Park It at Market lot up the street is only $24 for overnight. I got lucky and found a spot on the street. The meter only allowed 1 hour @ $1.25 at a time, but was free from 8pm to 10am. Total spent was like $5. From time i checked in to check out.
The building is really gorgeous. The bed was super comfy which was really nice after some busy walking days in town. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was some old tenants of other guests left on the room (popcorn in between dressers, hair tie under night table, stain on foot rest of chair). But honestly none of those things made it a bad experience. Bedding/towels very clean. Front desk clerks were very nice.
We just checked in and the whole place smelled like raw sewage. There is black mold on the outside of the ice machine on the 4th floor and the wall paper is peeling in the elevator and in our room. We are going to see if anything else is available in the area.
A very unique hotel in an old bank building. The vaults are open for viewing (and meeting venues), the lobby had beautiful vaulted ceilings and the suites were large and comfortable. Highly recommend if you plan to stay downtown.
Positive: Check In was easy and quick. Staff help me with some outside parking information. Over hotel was clean and the location was good. Negative: I noticed the bed sheet was a bit warm out for a Marriott hotel. You can see and feel the little balls on the sheet. Like its old and worn. As well with some of the towels. The hotel lobby is kind of dark. Parking is $50.
Front desk folks were very pleasant and accommodating. Hotel was clean and had a classic feel to it considering the building it was in. Very close via walking to downtown stops and shops as well as public transportation.
Rooms are nice but feel a bit outdated. Very clean, staff is very friendly. Price was decent for the area, but parking is an issue. To be fair, it’s an issue anywhere in downtown San Diego, but be prepared to pay 30+ a day for parking. If you’re in San Diego without a car, the rating would likely go up to 5*. It’s close to attractions, and many restaurants and bars.
Positive: The location was great and the staff was friendly. Negative: Our room smelled very bad. It smelled like armpits. This is actually the second fine we have stayed in the same exact room and both times it smelled bad. The water machines were also broken.
Renovated bank from 1928, this hotel has charm the moment you step in the door. Convenient bus access from and to the San Diego Airport. Valet parking. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Easy walking to explore all of the Gaslamp area, Convention Center, Seaport Village, the ball park, with trolley service to other parts of San Diego is within a couple of blocks. Highly recommend this hotel for your next visit!
Very nice conversion of a former band building. Nice accommodations
I will tell you some thing that travel agents do not want u to know about. When reserving places use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ They have the best deals on resorts! Much better than using orbitz, priceline, hotwire. Take my word for it!!!Gorgeous Hotel. Wonderfully maintained. We had the best experience here. The staff were all beyond friendly and helpful. Very genuine people. Couldnt find a thing to complain about. The breakfast was delicious also. We will definitely be back soon for another stay.
Such a beautiful hotel! I absolutely love to stay here any chance I get! So much beauty and history all in one! Plus its Marriott so you know youre getting excellent care in every aspect!
I stayed at this hotel last weekend and it was an amazing experience with also historical importance. My room wasn’t that big but it was really comfortable with comfortable bed and very peaceful, I will stay here again in next 2 weeks and will be staying there in all my future trips to San Diego. The hotel crew were really welcoming, friendly and nice and I will give them 20 stars out of 10. The location is not far from gas lamp and at a walking distance, their were enough free parking space around and this is the first time I didn’t spend a single penny for the parking.
Cool old building that used to be a bank. The bar was always hopping and the staff was very nice. Rooms felt a slight bit humid even with the AC set to 68
It was very clean, thank you. We had a good time including meeting up with our family, we appreciated your staffs kindness and efficiency to serve us all.
Located in the older part of downtown San Diego. Valet is located on 6th Street not Broadway. Main entrance is also on 6th. Service and staff are excellent here.
The night shift was very kind and helpful. Valet parking was expensive. Clean, they didnt have little things like lotion, but couldve just been Covid. The morning crew were not as friendly and a little dissmisive. Could have been an off day.
Excellent room and service. I stayed in a single bed room so the actual whole space of the room itself was great for one person. Staff was very friendly and helpful
A historic hotel with lots of heritage and history, prime location next to fifth ave where all san diego comes to party at night. Rooms needs an update, the guys were so kind to upgrade is when we found out the room was dirty...Make sure to research for a parking if you opted for self-park option
Room was nice. Good location. No coffee in am. No one manning the bar area.
The hotel is a 10-15-minutes drive from the airport and just a few blocks walk from the Gaslamp District restaurants and bars. The hotel has cool history since it used to be a bank. They preserved the architecture in the lobby and in the rooms. The staff was kind and greeted each time I left and arrived. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean as well and had a shower and tub combo.Other Amenities:- Free WiFi- In room fridge and microwave- Fitness room- Valet parking- RestaurantAll amenities were open during my stay with special hours for the restaurant and fitness room. The hotel had a mask policy in place with sanitizer machines. Most restaurants around the hotel allowed indoor and outdoor dining.
Positive: Very friendly staff, beautiful building, fun location Negative: Room had musty smell, blankets were visibly soiled
Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful, historic building. The fitness area was SUPER clean. Staff was very nice and accommodating. You will not regret staying here! If you go with a vehicle, be prepared to either pay for valet parking or plan ahead of time to find best off site parking options.
Outdated, $50 parking 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ and it seemed like it was valet only. I drove around the block twice and didnt see a parking lot structure. No thanks!!
Nice centralized location off 6th & Broadway just outside of gaslamp. a little over a mile walk to Little Italy, Seaport Village, and Balboa Park.the rooms are a little smaller than you’d expect but decently maintained and decorated. very cool repurposed bank vault conference rooms below and decor in the lobby.
Great location and Monica at the check in counter is an amazing host. She made the stay pleasant.
Positive: Room accommodation was exceptional! Receptionists were helpful and very professional! Very friendly! Negative: N/A
Positive: Excellent customer service Negative: Rooms are not routinely cleaned daily
Always a pleasure staying here. I call it home. Always well looked after. The food is scrumptious.
Positive: Friendliness of staff!! Negative: $50 per night valet parking
Positive: Location was close to where I needed to be. Negative: Outdated feel (not in a good way) Also, there was several times I called the front desk for valet or room service and no one ever answered more than 3 occasions
Positive: The building was very cool, elevator bank looked like A picture from the 1940s and rooms were updated and beautiful.
Great location on the doorstep of Gaslamp in the heart of downtown. Blink and you could miss it as it was a former Bank that has been beautifully converted into a great hotel! But what sets this Hotel apart from any other i have stayed at is the incredible staff - so genuine, so warm, so friendly, so helpful.. i could go on but this was not the usual experience - it felt like i could stay there for a long time without much thought it was that good! Special mention to Erica, Mia, Monica, Anna, Robert and all - well done for an outstanding effort in difficult circumstances!Highly recommend without any hesitation!
Great location but hotel itself feels old and we got a bad odor from our room - asked for different room.
The hotel was beautiful and the service was perfect. However, the hotel doesnt have parking lot and the guests have to pay for that. It is $50 dollars a day which I think is so expensive also, guests cannot take the car or they have to pay $50 dollars for each time that they take it. I think it isnt fair.
Positive: Location Negative: The rooms were not clean. Found old wash clothes and socks.
Positive: Location Negative: Toilet did not flush. They said maintenance would be up but never came. When showering the nozzle would move and change the water temperature. Lady at the front desk was rude including a manager.
Positive: Location, building Negative: not well cleaned, there was a fake eyelash stuck to one of the blinds, small closet, no luggage carrier
This Marriott never fails to impress. Great prices for wonderful rooms. Their security system is also a plus for me. The OG San Diego architecture is one youll never forget throughout the hotel. Will come back soon!
Positive: Inside the hotel was beautiful and the room was fine (except the bath tub did not drain well at all). Negative: We did not enjoy the location. The valet parking is very expensive ($50/night). Public parking requires walking through many homeless people and lots of trash($30/night). The hotels restaurant was closed so we had to walk out every time we needed food.
It is really a shame that this beautiful building, with a wonderful ornate lobby, is filled so poorly with rooms. We got there 3 hours after check in and they didnt have a room ready, which they luckily compensated with a free drink at the bar. The rooms werent quite as nice as the pictures. They then also didnt have any room service running which wasnt advertised when we booked the room, theres no Minibar, and a blood stain on our comforter. Definitely not ideal for the price.
If anybody is looking for great deals for hotels and resorts check out ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ made a reservation for a resort on there and they had the lowest prices worldwide!Last January we had a trip. We went to this so-called 5-star hotel in their area. We chose a room for 2 and it really went well. We love the accommodation that we had and the place was so pleasant. They also have free rides for us to roam around the place. It was really awesome, the food taste really good. On our 4 days of stay in that hotel, we experienced a lot more of a 5-star hotel.
Gorgeous hotel! Lots of history. Make sure you explore it, there’s a lot of cool things to see. Staff could be a little more friendlier, that’s the only reason it’s not 5 stars. We did visit during the pandemic, so I would come back when/if things get back to normal, I’d love to see this place in its full prime. Location is great, close to pretty much everything you want to see.
Positive: Great location Negative: Gound cigarette butt on top of towel stack. Disgusting. They should swap towels everytime new customer comes regardless it looked used or not. loading passenger zone feels dangerous on street. Parking too expensive.
Fabulous customer service n very clean ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Awesomeness very comfortable always humble highly recommend
Although parking is a hassle. The staff at Courtyard was amazing. Anything and everything I needed, they were able to accommodate me quickly.
Positive: Location Clean Service6 Negative: Parking
We started staying here back when they still had teller stations in the lobby. The carpet in the ground floor needs replacing badly but it kind of adds to this remodeled old bank building.
Positive: The hotel was nice but very basic. The outlets in the room were out of order but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful hotel located in an old bank. The old bank vault was converted in to a conference room. Theres a observation tower on top floor with city views. Its full of vintage features and decorations. Centrally located downtown. One block from the Gaslamp. Rooms are small, but nice and clean. Theres no self parking. Valet was $50 per nice when I stayed there. There are a lot of homeless people around. Staff was very friendly and welcoming for the most part.
This historic structure has been very well maintained. The rooms are beautifully designed, kudos for having Paul Mitchell products in the bathrooms. I loved my plush comfortable bed, and the staff was very professional & pleasant. I checked in very late after a long day... and did not have a chance to enjoy the property for as long as I would have liked. Nevertheless.,. My experience was very nice.
Nice staff terrible no parking no coffee outdated
This hotel is a rebirth of a bank. All of the old with all of the new make for a visual feast. The architecture is amazing. The vaults have been turned into board rooms safe doors and all. Staff was super friendly and ready to help. The surrounding area was clean and safe and offered anything you want.
The location and scenery of this place leaves a lot to be desired. I mean it is close to the Gaslamp Quarters(I think thats the name), which is okay. It did used to be a bank though, so if such a thing tickles your fancy, then go for it.
Hotel is good. Location is central but also a bit dodgy ...
Its a very nice place. We explored every inch of it to get all the history. Make sure to explore the safe deposit room! Lots of notes and random things people have left inside the boxes for all curious people. The details of the building leans to its firm elegance and quiet excellence. I like it
Loved the hotel, but the 5 star experience goes to Rod Stephens. Rod was Super helpful, polite, hard working, genuine. He served us dinner the 3 nights we were there for work and made our nights very pleasant. Thank you Rod for your hard work and service oriented personality! I’m sure Marriott Corp would be proud of knowing how well you represent their vision of hospitality. Keep up the great work!
I am a meeting planner for a very particular set of personnel. The courtyard delivered in spades - from checkout to netting space to catering, everything was stellar. A group of 40 descended on the bar on a Tuesday evening and the bartender handled it graciously and effortlessly, even coming out to offer drinks and take orders vs. making everyone come to the bar. A special acknowledgement goes to the sales and catering managers I worked with: Danielle and Danica. Danielle was helpful, responsive and patient with my many changes, including meeting dates and and 35% increase in sleeping rooms over three nights. Catering manager Danica is a gem. I delivered so many different changes and she was ALWAYS on top of it, up until our arrival date. Professional, courteous, helpful and expedient. Marriott is lucky to have a coordinator such as herself. Our event went off without a hitch, and I would be remiss not to acknowledge the incredible banquet captains, Penny and Tod, who were there to manage the event itself. Prepared, professional, responsive and capable, delivering stellar service. This was my first time at this location and I have to say, it’s much closer to a full service property. What a fantastic experience! Thank you to all the staff who made our meeting a success from tip to toe!
Positive: Beautiful old restored hotel with a view of San Diego bay. Negative: It is a bit tough finding the front with all the one way streets. There is only valet parking at $50 fee.
The hotel is quite charming, the lobby has nice touches to remind visitors of its past as a bank. The rooms are clean and reasonably sized. The bathrooms are functional but not fancy. The staff were all great - friendly and responsive! There are 2 issues with staying at this hotel: valet parking is overpriced and the neighborhood has alot of aggressive, homeless people. I think its a good choice for an adult couple because of the look of the hotel, great staff and proximity to Gaslamp but would not recommend for families
Super friendly staff, great location and architecture. Quiet due to COVID, but a good spot for downtown and the gaslamp district. Note that parking is a little tricky, and the valet is a bit expensive.
Amazing staff! Spacious and comfy, and I love the decor (for the history nerd that I am.) If youre curious about going to the top of the building (looks like a bell tower lol), they also offer a tour or two. :)Everything is clean and well kept. I felt very welcomed and even had no complaints regarding other guests. Would love to come here again as another getaway.
Quality of hotel did not match up to the price.
Positive: Beautiful historic building and comfortable spaces. Staff was very kind and helpful.
Positive: They were very nicr Negative: No parking and valet was $50
Positive: Its beautiful hotel. The rooms were updated and spacious. Negative: No.
I was debating between this downtown location and the marina location about a mile and half away. I booked with points and the downtown location was cheaper so I went with it. Definitely the right choice. The hotel is an old bank and has the beautiful charms of vintage marbles, gorgeous ceiling art and finer details. If you explore a little, there are cool historic features you wouldnt have in a newer building including an old vault, unique elevators and old telephone booths equipped with vintage working telephones. The best part was, it offered the down town experience with great restaurants/gas lamp district and ended up being only a short distance by scooter to the marina/harbor area, which is actually pretty commercialized and busy. The room was super clean, temperature was controllable and the bed was very comfortable. I was in a suite so I am not sure if the mattress in my room was an upgrade or a standard. None the less, I slept great in this hotel.Staff was super friendly, valet quick.Down side- no complimentary coffee or tea in the lobby. They have a coffee bar that serves Starbucks limited items but it closes relatively early and then you have to either use the hotel restaurant or leave to get a decent beverage. In my particular room, the window was intentionally frosted over so I couldnt actually see outside.Over all, Id stay here again no problem.
Very clean and beautiful room, with coffee, and hair dryer. Although no slippers, there are shampoo with hair condition and body lotion. The bed and sofa is great to relax watching TV. I used the morning call device with turning and pushing the one button. I enjoy this short staying, next time I shall try the food, they looks good.
This is a throwback hotel. It sits in Downtown San Diego. The building is very old but the decorum is really cool. It has that 60s vibe with all the features of yesteryear. Gigantic marble floors, old school elevators. Theres even some rotary telephones in the hallways. The room is HUGE and very comfortable. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the noise level. Rather loud. The windows are older so you can hear all the passing traffic but thats to be expected because of the age of the building. It would cost millions to sound proof this building. Actually, Im glad that it isnt because it really shows how far we have come as a society.
This historic hotel is gorgeous, clean and quiet. They have great security systems in place and it is just a nice place to be. I stayed for business and they made it very comfortable for us. The building used to be a bank and they have preserved a lot of the history. It has a very cool atmosphere and vibe. The rooms are clean and quiet. Happy hour is good too.
Positive: Employees at the front desk were awsome as was their manager kristen Negative: Parkings 50 a night use an app and save 40 a night
Wonderful boutique hotel just outside gaslamp quarter easy walking distance to convention center. Beautiful setting in a turn of the Century former bank building. I suggest you tour the basement ( big surprise) marvel at the lobby and see how fresh and modern the rooms are. Excellent staff, good quality food and room service is fast. Going there is like a little visit to Europe, I highly recommend it.
Unusual hotel property conversion of a former bank building, preserving some of the character and history of the building. Hotel staff were friendly yet professional and attentive. Property was clean and service was quick. Convenient location in the city yet not hard to reach from the I-5 freeway. Standard Marriott Bonvoy program benefits for frequent guests of that hotel group.
Positive: The room was larger than expected and the bed was very comfortable. Negative: The only parking option is $50 valet parking.
Cool architectural features, clean rooms, nice staff. Good proximity to the Gaslamp without being in the thick of it.
Hotel staff are great and ease of checkin/checkout was good. The decor is a somewhat random hybrid of modern and vintage given the buildings history (hallways, elevators, etc.) but the rooms are clean and modern. The bathrooms are a bit basic but all in all a solid hotel with a great walk score for downtown meetings. Coffee shops and food nearby.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT STAY!!! First of all, due to covid, the valet isn’t supposed to wheel your bell cart to you room so we had to wheel it in ourselves. On the way to our room, we saw another valet wheeling up another guests bell cart NEXT TO US. As we entered our room, it smelled like a mens gym locker room. It smelled like feet and sweaty clothes. To top it all off, we were abruptly woken up at 12:35am because somebody was smoking Marijuana in the elevator!! We asked the front desk what happened and they said “sorry it’s a false alarm, someone was smoking in the elevator.” After complaining to the Marriott staff, they refunded us an entire $11!!!! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE
This building is beautiful! The staff is amazing!!! When we checked in they asked why we were in San Diego and we told them it was our 10 year wedding anniversary to Princess who checked us in. Later that same night we had a knock at our door. It was room service with a complimentary champagne and strawberries and a note saying congratulations on our anniversary!! This place is so amazing. The only downside is since its downside is since its downtown you have to pay $50 for overnight valet. Other than that the hotel is extremely elegant and has kept its original architecture from 1928! Amazing all around!!!
Look this is a great location for the bus, all of Gaslamp, lots of places to eat and all walkable. And the rehab of a bank, its a brilliant idea. We had problems with the AC not keeping temp. The lighting in the bathroom looks original including older lightbulbs.....no way to put makeup on in the bathroom. There are lots of Bonvoy options..been there done that will look for another property next time.
This hotel is in a beautiful historic building. Not what I expect for a typical Courtyard. They did a great job preserving the building and finishes. All of the staff was great. We needed to store bikes and they were helpful and pleasant every time we need something from the storage room or from our car parked in valet. We didnt eat there so cant speak to the food. We had a pleasant experience at the bar and enjoyed the pool table. The expensive parking would be my only complaint. I know its San Diego!
Blast from the past the right remnants are preserved and remain in all their original glory.Ask at front desk and drop a nice tip and get a guided tour from the vault that is a conference room all the way to the roof which gives you a majestic view of downtown! My daughters and I will remember this stay for a long time!
Great location for tourists in Gaslamp District. Building is old bank and retained all the magnificent traits from the 1920s architectural design. Beautiful ceilings and the conference rooms were in the old vaults - very cool touch especially the smaller one with the safety deposit boxes still lining the room.Staff and service was excellent. The only issue I had was with the room temperature. Was very hard to keep at a constant comfortable temp as when the AC kicked on in blew directly on me when in bed. So, covers off when it got too warm and then the AC kicked on and froze me out and worked me up. Had very hard time sleeping due to outside noise and ambient hotel noises too. Dont get me wrong, this is an excellent place to stay and full of charm. Just my one little issue and should not sway you from staying here.Stay was during early December for temperature reference.
Beautiful with a 1940s vibe but modern decor. Compfortable bed, and even a microwave. Perfect location to walk to restaurants and shops.
I would give zero stars if I could. Drove 7 hours just to find out that they put the dates in wrong of when we were staying. We now need to find another hotel to stay at because they have no other rooms available. Very stressful.
Nice place to stay when you are in town, staff is so nice makes you feel like you are at home.
This hotel is a historic building. It was so amazing to see the original structure left in place. The rooms are very clean and updated. Modern decor, just as the picture showed. Rooms are spacious. It is located within walking distance to restaurants and other sites. The parking is steep, but this is downtown, and all the hotels charge a fee for parking. House of Blues is next door, but the line is long.
This property is in a beautiful historic building with a stunning lobby, real stone, and lots of historic wood work. The food and beverage program was a big surprise. Normal Courtyards have packaged food they super-heat in a microwave or high speed oven, all pre-made. This place has a full kitchen that puts out quality food including steak, chicken and fish dinner dishes. Bartender was skillful and cared about his work. Room was as good as any other Courtyard. Only downside is there was not any recognition of my Elite status and I got no upgrade or anything else.
