I went to get a laser treatment and haven’t seen any results. In fairness, the dr did say it may take a few treatments to see results, but it is nearly impossible to get an appointment unless is it months from now. The limited availability for days and times make it extremely challenging to get an appointment. As someone who works Monday-Friday, it would be nice to offer appointments later in the day. I feel like I have wasted my money at this facility and am disappointed with my experience thus far.

All medical staff were welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. They make you feel secure and comfortable. They provided great feedback and recommendations.

A difficult long treatment was made so much more pleasant and bearable due to the gentleness of Brittany Enriquez. She worked with Dr. Wu in making sure I was comfortable. She explained all steps in a calm, soothing and professional way. I am grateful to her for making this process so much easier. She was with me every step of the way.

Hit or miss, depending on your doctor. The doc I use primarily does not specialize in a procedure I wanted to consider so I made appointments for consults. Both appointments were busts--in one, I waited in an exam room for over 30 minutes. It was freezing. No one checked in to give me an update on timing but a sales rep stopped in to yap about nothing. I finally had the consult but was referred to another CLD doctor the next week. That doctor also kept me waiting for 30 minutes but, after a gaggle of assistants, milling around outside of the exam room, couldnt tell me when shed get around to seeing me, I left. I was told that an office manager would call me to follow-up. Nada. I will continue to use my existing doctor for the treatments he does, but I wont go near anyone else there. Really bad patient experience. Expensive parking. Waste of time.

Dr. Goldman was so kind to me. I’m new to town and he spoke to me of similar businesses like mine, I really needed this information. He also spoke to me about a new local endocrinologist I could feel good about since I was traveling all the way to Minnesota to be treated. All this and I never even asked. The most comforting was when he looked at my nose. I had basil cell carcinoma. My nose is shredded and to me it looked overwhelming with stitches, scabs, raised and bumped. He took a good look and said, “Well we are going to make your nose look so good that your surgeon is going to be so proud of his work”That made me smile then tears came falling as it was the first time I had cried about the fact that I had that on my nose and the destruction it had caused. I’m incredibly grateful for the cure rate and the care. To live in a time when we can be healed is such a gift and I know this, but still, the destruction. What a kind, kind man. He said I could bring him some cookies for his pay as I think he donates some of his time to people with cancer and I think he said that to make me feel better. WOW. I’ve been looking into laser treatments for over a year now and after dozens of phone calls, email exchanges, and visits to other places that offer laser services, I FINALLY found a place that I feelcomfortable with. I have full trust in Dr. Groff and the staff here. Dr. Groff was informative, honest, patient. You’ll pay a heftier price tag here but, hey, when you’re doing anything to your face it’s worth every damn penny.

I first met Dr Fabi briefly through one of their clinical researches. I knew then if ever I wanted any procedures, she’d be my choice. My intuition was spot on. Dr. Groff changed my life. I’ve had what looks like a birthmark/dark spots on half of my face for as long as I can remember. I was insecure about it and was always covering it up with makeup. A few years ago, I saw a dermatologist who did a test spot on my face and there was no improvement at all. I eventually found Dr. Groff and his office, and flew out of state to get treated by him. He recommended we try 6 different lasers as test spots to see which one would work best. After a few weeks I saw results with some of these test spots.I saw him again earlier this month and he treated my entire face with the Alexandrite laser. I’m already seeing amazing results after just one treatment.It sometimes takes awhile in the waiting room before getting seen by him, but they are a busy office so it’s understandable. Some people might not like this, but I personally don’t mind as the treatment results speak for themselves. The medical assistants and front desk are always very helpful and nice.If you’re struggling with birthmarks, dark spots, freckles, or anything you’re insecure with, I recommend seeing Dr. Groff or any of the dermatologists at the office.

Dr. Fabi is a true artist! She truly makes you look like THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF. You will not look done, just refreshed, youthful, healthy & happy! We did botox and voluma in my cheek area (it was my first time getting fillers in my face other than lips) and I am in love with the results. She made my jawline more sculpted and defined. I also had hollow under eye bags which I previously had filler in the hollows directly but it always looked buldgey after. Dr. Fabi took a different approach and did filler in my cheeks which pulled everything back and got rid of my under eye hollows. Im so happy and trust any and all of her recommendations. :)

Dr. Farzaneh from Cosmetic Laser Dermatology is truly one of a kind. She is the kindest women I know and has changed my skin dramatically. She is the only aesthetician I trust with my skin. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new facialist. You will not be disappointed.

I was looking for laser hair removal for someone with dark skin. I called and essentially they require and in-person consultation before they will quote anything. They will not give even a general range for areas because it is so individualized. Fine. I am aware that this place is expensive as several reviews mention cost. I am okay with this as I think MDs staff and that the facility will be well-maintained. I go in for my 3:00 appointment. I get there at 2:55 and call up to the office per their protocol. They say they will check me in and call me up. I am just standing in an outdoor courtyard as the chairs are being packed up around me. After 25 min, I call back and they act surprised that I am still there. Bring me up, I get roomed. Then I wait another 25 min for the PA to show up. She spends 10 min with me. They give me a quote (which is clearly easily generated) in 2 min. It is $250 per small area (I had two areas) so $500 per treatment x TEN treatments plus another treatment every 3 months forever. So, $5000, lol. Plus I had to pay for parking after they made me wait for an hour. When you are going to an expensive med spa, I expect timeliness and at least an apology for running that late. I felt a bit like they felt they were doing me a favor. This isnt like taking your kid to the pediatrician for a sick visit. This is paying A LOT for an elective service. Do not recommend. There are other places. I have several quotes already from equally well-rated places. And friends who have been satisfied without having to deal with pretention.

Total Price $2,800Procedures: Bellafill injections (2 syringes) and Subcision (x 2)I wanted to wait three months from my last/most recent procedure to give a fair, honest, and accurate review of Cosmetic Laser Dermatology and my results as a patient of Dr. Wu. Waiting three months allows for a more accurate result as the swelling and skin have settled. It is essential to share my story and educate those looking to improve their appearance on the risks, specifically regarding acne scar procedures. I have enclosed raw/unretouched before and after photos.After seeing an ad for Bellafill and how effective these fillers can be for lifting acne indentations and smoothing the face, I began searching the San Diego area and came across Cosmetic Laser and Dermatology. After speaking about my skin goals to a staff member, I was referred to Dr. Wu. Upon my first consultation, I was more than pleased with Dr. Wu’s friendly, reassuring demeanor and felt confident I’d made the right choice. More importantly, I had hope for the first time that the insecurities surrounding my acne scarring may finally come to an end. We decided on two syringes of Bellafill, which was expensive, but it would be well worth it if it worked. I had the fillers done on October 23rd, 2020, and included a before photo, the same day, and then six weeks after the procedure photo.As you can see by my photos, I show little to no improvement on the scars. However, what was most unfortunate was this ridge/canyon created by the procedure. The inner cheek and cheekbone seem more lifted, leaving the skin in between lower and uneven. Rather than pay for another pricey syringe, Dr. Wu and I decided to proceed with subcision. Dr. Wu explained the subcision “cuts away the tethering of the acne scars and helps lift the skin to the surface, creating a smoother appearance.” This route (although more aggressive) was considerably less than Bellafill; again, I felt hopeful we could get a better result. After the first procedure on December 11th, 2020, my skin looked smoother and plumper at first, but sadly this would be the effect of swelling. Almost a month later, on January 6th, 2021, I had a new scar post subcision towards the inner part of my cheek (it is still visible today). Due to the noticeable ridge/dip in my cheek (refer to photo), Dr. Wu and I decided to do a second subcision on January 9th, 2021. Although it helped smooth out the ridge, I was devastated that the procedure left me with another new scar; I have enclosed photos.As you can see, I now have two scars that run vertically down my face. Not only is it regrettable and crushing to lose 2,800 dollars, but to gain additional scars from a procedure has been heartbreaking. Although some may disagree, I do believe that Dr. Wu will deliver on his promise that very first day we spoke when he said, “I think you’ll be pleased with the results.” With that, I have another procedure scheduled for June 10th of this year. This time I will undergo CO2 laser resurfacing, which hopefully (fingers crossed) gives me the result I initially came in for last October. I will update my post in a few months with the before/after photos post-procedure.

The Pre-Op Nurse Phyllis is unprofessional, extremely unpleasant and will ruin your entire experience. I have an upcoming appointment which is an outpatient procedure but is booked in the OR operating room (thermi-tight). Ive been thinking about this for a while. I booked a consultation with Dr. Groff, had a pleasant, informative conversation with him and made the decision to go for it! I worked with his staff to book the procedure and the OR and was super excited!Then my pre op call.I can only describe this feeling like I was verbally assaulted for 30 minutes by someone I had wronged. I arranged my work zoom meetings around this call and was unavailable for my team so I could have this woman berate me. I still have some legitimate questions about my procedure and downtime which I never got to ask.She spoke the entire time. She asked me intrusive medical history questions and would interrupt me as I answered and would speak over me. She would ask me yes or no questions and would become upset at me for answering. It was very clear she was there to do the talking. So after letting her speak at me for 25 minutes she tells me I am to only eat oatmeal with water like instant oatmeal the morning of the procedure, no milk or butter and asked if I know the difference. She was so condescending it was painful. My husband who is an ICU doctor caught some of the conversation from the other room and was horrified.We then go into the payment. Initially when I spoke to staff it was my understanding at the time of the pre op call they took a deposit. I didn’t transfer more than that before the call. She of course wanted to run the card for the entire amount which I wasnt prepared for. I tried to explain I would have to transfer funds, but, it was my choice to wait until the first of the month, a few days from then for my direct deposit. She rudely reminded me she has had other clients with financial situations like me insinuating I could not pay and let me know she could work with her staff to allow me more time to pay.Couple days later they went to process the full amount on my debt card which has a daily 3K limit that I forgot to up. Phyllis calls me and speaks to me like I was a criminal and threatened to remove me from the OR schedule. I have no idea why a pre op nurse would be calling and harassing me about an honest mistake. Why wouldn’t a front desk person call me? During the call Phyllis let me know she was interceding on “her” staffs behalf and instructed me to call my bank and figure this out or provide a credit card or I would lose my OR spot.I hope she does not represent the team. From my consultation I didnt feel this way so I am hopeful she is just an outliner. I have no idea if I will proceed with the procedure though I have paid in full. I feel pretty negative and un-excited about it all, like it is a task I must now complete to get off my to do list. She ruined my experience. She needs to be off the team.

Dr. Fabi helped me tremendously! She has an innovative way of adding to my jawline and reducing the strain my neck was placing on the lower part of my face, which was causing me to have jowls. I have only gotten the best treatment every time I see dr Groff. Leaving I know I’m going to look and feel better about myself. The staff is amazing and always helpful and friendly.

Although this was only a consultation, the Doctor took time in explaining our options and although it didnt fit into his expertise he took the time to check with another Dr from another office while we waited. He had pictures taken so that we wouldnt have to make an additional appt. This Doctors bedside was fantastic and if I ever needed this service I would definitely go back to Dr Groffs office. Where do I begin? Dr. Fabi is one of the smartest and kindest person I have ever met! Her sincerity and honesty of the treatments I was seeking out, led to the correction of skin cancer. She could have just done what I wanted, but she refused due to what she saw on my face. 2 years later, with all of her expertise, my skin cancer is gone and my skin looks amazing! Not only is Dr. Fabi a doctor, she is an artist. She can look at you and determine what is needed to be the very best you! Thank heavens she is in my life!

Dr. Groff was very knowledgeable and understood my haste to get rid of my finger and web tattoos due to a career opportunity with the LAPD. I have seen massive results just with the first treatment. I’ve been to other other laser cosmetic places that “nickel and dime’d” for the sake of pigmentation or scarring. They were just dragging out the treatment to make more money. He came off more about helping me with my desired results vs making money. I truly appreciated that.

Though I missed not being able to see Dr. Goldman, I was very happywith my consultation with Dr. Carr.

I cannot recommend Dr. Goldman highly enough. I went in to see him because he is an expert at treating a Bells Palsey with Botox. He was so utterly generous with his time and his knowledge, and the treatment was very effective. Five stars hands down!!

Dr. Butterwick is the most skilled cosmetic doctor Ive seen. If you want to keep your skin looking young AND look completely natural, shes great. I love the no makeup look and she helps me pull it off at 66. These folks are higher in price, but the difference is absolutely worth it. I wont be going anywhere else.

Fabulous. This is the best Dermatology Center, and I have been to enough that I can say that. Dr. Wu is so kind, explains everything and knows how to give a shot like no one else, almost couldnt feel it. Not kidding, but thats how it was for me. And Britney is there the entire way, so sweet. Its a little fast there, but dont let that stop you because these highly talented people really know what they are doing. Brianna I thank you the most because had you not reached out after I called the first time I probably would not have come in. You didnt push just explained. And yes its really pricey, but I figure this is you face, go to the best.

The staff was nice enough but I waited 45 minutes and still was not seen for a consult. I had to walk out, which I’ve never done anywhere before. Completely disrespectful of the clients time. They act like they don’t need your business.
