Certified Restoration did a great job from start to finish. I had contact with everyone from clerical staff, project manager to the owner and everyone was great. My job had several different landmines including my tenants. Tad the project manager was professional, knowledgeable, and very accommodating with the job at hand. I hope I don’t have any other issues with mold, but if I do, it’s good to know I have a company that will deal with the issue in a professional, complete and timely fashion.

I wanted to find somebody who I could trust to remedy the water that was caught between the walls that wouldve caused mold and of course I checked online to find Certified Restoration.Tad came out was very efficient, pleasant to deal with and patient with all of the drama that evolved between my neighbor and their lack of acceptance of responsibility.Each case is unique in every instance of a flood it may have certain similar elements, but no two floods are the same. What I appreciated the most from Tad was the ability to assess the situation I was in and recommend a path forward in a very challenging time. He was responsible almost single-handedly for keeping my patience and sanity in check.As for the owner Michael F., he is really awesome and understanding. At the request of my neighbor he came out to validate the findings that Tad had come to for my crazy neighbor. He knew that this was going to result in an issue because of the insurance and gave me the extra time that I needed to get this situation resolved.I have not resolved the situation with the crazy neighbor however I know that when the time comes I can rely on Michael and his team to be there for me. I had my house going up for sell and right before it was listed. I had a leaking water pipe in bathroom which flooded my hall and master bedroom. I was worried because open house was in only 2 days. We own a unit in Mira Mesa, and there was an accident caused by my tenant in January 2020. The HOAs manager called the emergency team from Certified Restoration, and the rest was history. Quick service, honest and reliable. I have had 2 occasions this year where I have needed Certified Restorations services and have been impressed both times. All the employees are respectful and knowledgeable. They are a local company and its always nice to support local business.

My husband and I own a modular home where my parents currently live. After the lines behind the master bathroom toilet leaked onto the flooring (carpet over the base floor - yeah, I have no idea why the previous owners put carpet in the bathroom) for several days before being detected, we knew we needed to bring in professionals for remediation. We were referred to Certified Restoration by a friend who owns a remediation company, but at the time had no capacity to take on our job. Thad, from Certified Restoration, and his team were incredibly professional, punctual and did top-quality work. Thad was very patient explaining his process and the necessary scope of work to my parents. He went above and beyond to ensure my parents were comfortable. My mom told me several times “Thad is such a nice young man”. They also made things very easy when coordinating with our insurance company. I woke up to a flood due to my water heater. Mike, Tad and his crew came to my rescue. Excellent customer service, above all, they are kind and genuine. They educated me and kept updating me on the progress. They are truly amazing, they worked very well coordiating restoration of my condo with my contractor, and insurance. Our 30 gallon aquarium sprung a leak at 1am on New Years Day. Even though it was a holiday, Owner Michael came out in the morning to assess the damage and give us a plan. He was very methodical with his inspection and helped us to remediate the damage right away. He showed genuine concern for our 3 children, (5-years old and younger), and was very friendly toward them while they watched him work. He gave us a heater to start drying out our walls as well as step by step instructions as to how to go about doing it. He also left us with a water meter so we could check out progress. All along the way he made sure to explain things to both myself and my husband so that we understood exactly what to do. He also was very good at communicating the next steps in the process so that we knew when we could expect a call back the next day for his men to come out and complete the process. I have a really bad situation where the water from this current storm (which is causing havoc all over the county) is coming into my basement (semi finished). Michael and his crew helped me on July 13th of this year. My former tenants were disrespectful, and trashed my almost-new 3yo carpet in my condo rental, tracking cooking oil from the kitchen into the unit! Bad karma.I was thinking that I was going to have to replace the carpet, at an expense of almost $3000, but Michael brought in his hi-powered truck mounted carpet cleaning machine and sucked that nasty oil right out of the carpet! Michael and his team at Certified Restoration are amazing! When I came home to a flooded kitchen after a long, relaxing weekend away, I had no idea what to do. After I spent a few minutes searching, I decided to call Certified Restoration since their services were 24 hours and they had so many nice reviews. Im so glad I did! They were very understanding on the phone and were at my house within a half hour to assess the water damage a burst pipe had done to my kitchen. They made sure to spend time explaining to me exactly what the restoration process entailed and gave me a ballpark of when the work would be done. You know its going to be a long night when your child gets out of bed and says, Theres water on the bathroom floor... And Q-tips are floating in it! I was busy with the baby and my husband couldnt even form words to shout down the hall to me. Its. How? I. What? Ugh! Our toilet somehow malfunctioned and he was standing in ankle-deep water. We thought we could take care of the water ourselves with our heavy duty carpet cleaner, but as soon as we would turn it on, it would immediately fill to capacity with water. After doing this a dozen times and watching the water level stay the same, we did some investigative work. Whoops. The water had already gone through walls to soak two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a walk-in closet, and our entire hallway.I jumped on the Internet and found Flood Masters. Michael answered, even though it was late, and said he could get a team out right away. This is too easy, I thought. I told him I wanted to call another company and I found the number for a competitor, those guys with the big, yellow trucks. The man who answered there was very disinterested and even seemed bothered by my call. He told me it was a waste of time for him to come out at night because it would take him over an hour to get ready and drive over and there wasnt anything he could do that late anyway. We would have to wait until morning if we wanted to use their services and he promised me that the damage wouldnt worsen overnight. Incredulous, I asked if there was someone else I could speak to from their company and he said no, that he was the on-call guy for our area.I called Flood Masters back and Michael was informative, enthusiastic, and helped walk me through what I needed to do to make an insurance claim. He also promised he could have a team to our house within 40 minutes. Even better? They arrived in less than 30! Ed and his coworker were prompt, professional, and so kind. My husband and I sat on the couch in a daze, trying to figure out how the flooding had happened and what lay ahead in terms of restoration. The Flood Masters men buzzed around us, getting the water out, removing baseboards, neatly tearing up the carpet, taking out the padding, and setting up equipment. We couldnt get over how quickly and efficiently they worked and how genuinely NICE Ed was.Before we knew it, Flood Masters was leaving in the wee hours of the morning. Ed promised to give us a decent amount of time to sleep before returning later in the day. He arrived back at our home as promised and checked the moisture levels. He rearranged equipment and adjusted as necessary. The next day, Ed again came to our house at an appointed time. Lather, rinse, repeat. He tried to keep a minimal amount of equipment in the house, as it is noisy and generates heat, and would swap out fans and machines as needed. All the while, Ed was very friendly and really just a pleasant person to deal with.We had a snag with our homeowners insurance check for Flood Masters and George was so patient in working with us as we remedied the situation.We 100% recommend Flood Masters and with six kids at home, we now keep their magnet on the fridge! They were prompt and professional, helpful with tips to reduce damage, did great work, and were just wonderful to deal with in an emergency. The night of the flooding, Ed commented that he hadnt seen people act so happy while dealing with such a mess and honestly? A great part of that was due to how well Flood Masters treated us.

I had a flood in a rental property in San Diego. I live in Northern California so I thought the cleanup, insurance coordination and rebuild would be a nightmare. Luckily I found Floodmasters on Yelp. They were at my rental within an hour after I called them. They started cleanup that day. Additionally they found a plumber to pick up and install a faulty hot water (which caused the flood). They handled all of the coordinating with the insurance assessor. Two weeks later everything was done and I had a check from the insurance company to cover it all.

Waking up in the middle of the night to discover your floor submerged in water is a surprisingly overwhelming experience. Having it occur on Labor Day weekend while your significant other is in Las Vegas is a total nightmare. Well, this became my reality last Labor Day Weekend, 2013.I called my insurance. They gave me the names of two of the big national firms, Se*vP#o and Serv*#e Mas*+r. I called both of these flood companies, and decided Id hire which ever one arrived on site first. An entire hour passed, and neither of these reputable national vendors responded.I was forced to call one of my friends to help me clean up. Rather than help, he gave me the number to Flood Masters and told me to call them. While I didnt want to call another of these guys, I was desperate. I called Flood Masters at around 3 AM on Labor Day. I had to leave another message.20 minutes later, my phone rang. It was a gentleman with Flood Masters. He listened to my story and was at my door 20 minutes later. 3 days later, my home was still damaged. But it was not a disaster. Most importantly, it was dry and we were on our way to a full restoration of our home.Thanks so much Mike, and Tad. Flood Masters made everything easy. They even dealt directly with my insurance company and made everything simple.

I found some old water damage with lots of black mold everywhere, while doing a renovation. Ive watched enough home improvement shows to know that mold is serious business. Theres the common stuff, and then theres the toxic, harmful stuff. Without hesitation, I cleared the premises and called several, local, mold remediation businesses. Flood Masters was the only business that didnt give me attitude, were polite, and seeme to truly care about fixing my problem.After initially calling Flood Masters and providing them with my contact information, I was called back, within the hour, by one of their technicians. The other businesses took several hours to get back to me. Not good. I scheduled a time for Flood Masters to come out and assess the problem. Their techician came out on time and gave me a breakdown of the entire process and what to expect. I was impressed at the attention to detail, positive attitude, and knowledgeable explanations made during the assessment.After giving Flood Masters the go-ahead, they came in and took care of business. The damaged structures were removed, and the affected areas were sealed off for two days. The entire ordeal was documented, and included photo updates over email. Outstanding! On the third day, they had the place tested for mold spores using their lab contact. Two days later, I received the lab results. I didnt know there were so many mold varieties. Fortunately, the spore counts were super low and none of the really harmful ones were detected.All, in all, a pleasant and interesting expience. No one wants to have mold, nor deal with remediation. If you have any issues, go with Flood Masters. Theyre local, are real pros, and have excellent customer service. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.
