I had a decades worth of work history and teaching templates on a hard drive that was not being recognized on multiple laptops. They quickly salvaged all of my material and separated them onto multiple back up hard drives as well as provided a new hard drive with everything in its entirety! I went to San Diego Laptop & Computer Repair in Pacific Beach. The employees were incredibly professional and mindful of COVID safety measures, as well as being helpful with my computer repair problem. I had a soldering job for them to do, and they worked with me to find an appropriate price that was great value for the job! Definitely will be coming here with any of my computer problems in the future, these guys are the best and local too!

This shop basically erased 18 years old memories, pictures, videos that I kept on that laptop . After he promised that he is going to pack up all data call external hard drive before doing any work.- he kept the laptop for 3 months total time. First he returned the laptop to me not working, literally not turning on. Then he gave it again to me with a new basic window software like it just came from the factory. Then I had to return it back to him telling him where is the information and the videos and pictures that I have but he could not retrieve anything and he said I lost it all. He said he couldn’t find it.But I know the data is in there since I store them on an internal separate hard drive. Long story short, I had to pay $450 to get back the information. Of course I didn’t get it all since they don’t promise you that but I was very pleased and happy with what I got back from those memories

My computer randomly stopped working the day before my grad school application was due and I couldn’t afford their $99 flat rate fee. All I needed to do was temporarily turn the computer on. The young guy at the front made it happen and didn’t charge me a thing, so I ran to the bank and gave him a $20 tip because that’s what decent people do!!

Nothing but PROFESSIONAL. I needed my computer upgraded, swap out the completely full old HD, for a larger SSD, ASAP. They were able to do the job in less than 24 hours. I did not have them transfer any data because I needed the computer back quickly. They offered to do it another time. I bought an external HD case and I use it as a second drive. GREAT job I will return to them if I need to in the future.

This shop and staff are incredible. I chose SD Laptop & Repair based on a competitor of theirs who recommended them highly. I had an audiojack issue on a Sony MP3 player that was no longer functioning. I was told if anyone can successfully repair this for you, it would be SD Laptop & Repair. I brought it in and Cameron was the support tech. It took over a month for the repair, but time was not an issue for me because I trusted them. Their service and customer service was first class. I highly recommend them to solve the most intricate of tech problems.

I needed to fix my Macbook Pro.One week later he told me the price but they lost my charger.They didnt give me a new one.Just gave me an old one and now its not even work.They are not responsible with your computer

This is the one shop that all San Diegan’s need to literally discover for anything Mac*. Honesty and integrity are first to greet you in this one of a kind repair shop. It is still there with each call advising the status. The owner and service team have such incredible integrity and honesty that I am almost (almost) at a loss for a way to explain how overwhelmingly impressed I am at their dedication to the repair of our investments. I have not experienced this in any repair shop in the 23 years of having my Apple products serviced and repaired. Apple itself could take a class at the customer service and dedication that this shop offers ALL of us Apple and Windows alike. Icannot say enough nice things. I only hope that further reviews and well deserved comments would catapult this shop to the top of all repair shops in San Diego. I am not moving from Pacific Beach but if I need repairs - no second guessing. This is the shop. My 27’’ iMac took several very hard beatings from a kitten running with the force of a wild stampede. Yanking the power cord multiple times. Yes! A one year twenty pound kitten who is really old larger than life takes no lip from a peripheral of any kind.

Quoted me $99 for what was a click of a button. Made it sound like it could be very complicated to what turned out to be resetting and clicking a few keys. Didn’t have $99 to even consider, but a friend of mine said they were just trying to RIP YOU OFF! Don’t go to this place unless you have lots of money to burn. The guy knew what was wrong with it, he was just trying to take advantage. ☹️

Were very professional in fixing my liquid damaged macbook. They had to replace more parts than what I originally thought needed replacing but still were very accommodating and kept the price as low as they could for me. Highly recommend this place.

Best laptop repair shop in San Diego! So I managed to break my perfectly working laptops DC jack trying to plugin an incompatible power cord because I forgot the original one at home. Silly mistake obviously... Cameron was super kind enough to offer me a free diagnosis. Knowing that I needed to use my laptop asap, he went out of his way and offered me a temporary fix while waiting on the replacement part to arrive. Unbelievable!I usually take care of my laptop pretty well, but things do happen. At least, next time I know exactly who will be working on it. A+++ customer service. Thank you Cameron!

Only 1 type of screen for a Macbook 13.3 inch retina display. Wouldnt give me an estimate and just went on and on about me bringing it in for the estimate. this is what you call a scheme! Once you bring it in, they will quote you something ridiculous and since you dont want to do the back and forth, they end up getting you to say sure fix it. They also charge more for labor, I can only imagine what upcharge they put on products.

Cracked a screen for the 1st time ever. Followed Yelp reviews to San Diego Laptop & Computer Repair- Pacific Beach.Watched them fix my phone right in front of me.30 min in-and-out.I couldnt pull up the coupon offer, but they gave me the discount anyway! Amazing! Best part- my boyfriend will never know.

Dave, apparently the owner, charged me $89 to reset my HP laptop. I could have done that at home. Even worse, he didnt even call to tell me he might wipe out all my data in the process. Find any other place. Any decent pc repair place would have said oh, we only had to click reset, so no charge, or how about $20?. Not this guy. $89 to click once.

Sd Labtops is my go to for my computer repairs in Pb . Recently they installed a new hard drive in my MacBook which ended up being faulty( manufacturing error) and they took it back and replaced it no questions asked. I Highly recommend.
