Took my 2017 BMW X1 here for maintenance services. They did an awesome job and my car is running like new again. Pricing was more reasonable than the BMW dealer and fairly straight forward. Oil change ($120), Engine air filter ($130), Cabin air filter ($120), Front brake pads, rotors, & sensor($710), brake flush ($140). Would definitely come again.

FANTASTIC SERVICE!! The gentlemen there always greet you with excitement and keep you up to date with your vehicles current and future needs. They utilize a service that allows you to see what they are recommending be worked on and you can approve/disapprove it while they have your car! Much better than being told “your car needs X,Y, and Z” when you simply dropped it off for an oil change.

Truly impressed with how they carry out their business. I pointed out a couple of things that bothered me and they did a diagnostic check, but found no fault, and did not charge me for it. Very reasonable price on the oil change, and what I am truly impressed with is their honesty. They gave me a detailed explanation at the shop and in writing on what needs to be worked on along with the exact price. No feeling of being pressured here, and I can actually work on my budget to figure out what needs to be done next. Overall, great customer service, very clean space, and I will surely come back here as a regular, satisfied customer.

I was happy when I found Max and Select German Car and from the moment I dropped my car off AFTER HOURS and Max saw through the security cameras and dispatched on of his guys to go and move it safely inside the shop, I knew that I was in good hands. I own an older German car and have had various specialist shops in San Diego work on it over the years. This place is now at the top of my list. Max and his crew know what they are doing. Current (November 2020) spot is tucked out of the way and a little hard to find, but word is they are moving to a better location soon.

This place is great! If you own a German car I would absolutely recommend coming here. Max is both very friendly and professional and his technicians seem very knowledgeable. I took my 135i here for both a pre-purchase inspection (bought it used) and then to have some work done. The prices are fair and I never felt any pressure to get any extra work done. They were also very happy to go into details about the repairs and seem enthusiastic regarding their work. Ill definitely come back for future work, and being that I now own a 10 year old BMW, thats probably not too far off in the future.

Great service! Fast, affordable and they are honest. I brought in my Mercedes E350 for an oil change. They also provided an inspection and only found that I needed a brake flush.Ive also had my 2005 BMW 330CI serviced by them and there are some things that have been constant. First, they are always honest. They take pictures of the problems and let you know whats going on. They take care of your car putting plastic on the seat and the steering wheel. They will only recommend repairs that actually need to be done. And they give you chocolate at the end of your purchase:).They are just great people to work with. The best Ive ever experienced!I highly recommend them!

I can confidently teach theory to college students but when it comes to anything car related, it’s a mixed bag. In the past, when I’ve taken my car for repairs or diagnostics I sometimes get lucky with nice folks and other times get quoted more because I’m a woman (i know this because sometimes I ask my dad to call or go by a shop and he gets quoted less for the same exact thing). So when I came across Select German while looking for my 35k (out-of-warranty) maintenance… I felt pretty nervous about leaving my baby with them. From the beginning they let me know what they would be doing and how much it would cost (and they responded quickly too). They offered me an Uber home. At the end, they said my car was in very good condition and didn’t need additional repairs! Uber was too busy by that rush hour time so they dropped my car off to me (2 miles away). They offer a great warranty on their work and as a woman I honestly say that I never felt disrespected and they were very communicative.

These guys are amazing. They were quick, accommodating and easy to work with. They were able to take look at my car the morning it broke, sent me a complimentary inspection of my car with pictures of each item and had it up and running great again all within a few hours. They were even able to give me a ride back to work after dropping my car off. Theyre so easy to work with, I never felt intimidated or pressured by them like normal mechanics. Great guys!

I came in thinking I need to replace my shocks but they did a thorough analysis and suggested the changes I needed like spark plugs and brake fluid change instead which were definitely overdue. They did an awesome job with my BMW 328i. The dealership quoted me twice as much and would have taken a lot longer.They had a cool software that showed pictures of their checks as well. Overall, i couldn’t be happier and I’ll be back to get my car serviced.

When we decided to buy an Audi, everybody told us maintenance and service will cost a fortune. We are very lucky finding this place, because they are very good at German cars with moderate price. When we take our 2007 Audi for regular maintanance, they have checked every aspect of the car and informed us about the requirements. They have also informed us for the parts need to be changed in a year. After a thorough once over of my Touareg, they sent a really thorough quote that detailed all recommended service and even included photos of all the components. I dont know how it works, but their platform for communicating with customers is the best Ive ever seen for a mechanic shop. Honestly its the best local service platform for any industry. I came to get an oil change they informed me of everything thats going on with my Porsche Panamera. These guys could not have been more professional and timely. They have a great sense of humor and understand when do you spend money and not want to spend money on your car. Nothing is more helpful for a first time Porsche owner. This is my current to go workshop to fix my car. I just had my car cables fixed due to rodents that bit the cable that runs to the AC compressor. Max is super scrutinize with his diagnose and inspection to the car prior to fixing it and let you know what can be fixed and what can’t. By far the best German auto service. Great customer service. They are friendly, affordable on pricing and communicate very well. I live in North Park and its a bit far for me but its definitely worth it. So far they have installed downpipes and diagnosed/repaired fuel pump. Highly recommended.

Amazing customer service and very knowledgeable staff. They stayed past closing hours to install a flexfuel kit on my car and kept communication during the whole way of the install. They even put plastic on my steering wheel so that no dirt or grease would transfer onto it. The Godiva chocolates with their company name that were placed in my car from them were a nice touch as well. The attention to detail and pride in which they take is what will keep me coming back. Select diagnosed the issue quickly and gave me my options, no pressure. The part the car needed was special order, Max got it the next day and got us back on the road.Im a skeptic, ran everything by my usual shop back at home and word-for-word confirmed everything Max quoted, in fact, they told me he gave me a screaming deal on the labor costs. Part was expensive, but my shop confirmed it was something you had to order from the Mercedes dealer, no other quick option.

As a female, Ive always been cautious and distrusting of mechanics. You never quite know if theyre telling you the truth or if theyre trying to rip you off.But I feel like I finally found a car shop that I can trust as much as I trust my dad with my car.
