We had our car serviced her and i have to say from the beginning Salvador was AMAZING! He made sure to keep me updated on when the car would be ready and to not worry about it that it was in good hands. Customer service is dead! Called to see about pricing for a windshield he immediately said no we don’t sell windshields and hung up on me . If he would’ve waited one second I had a list of several other items I needed for my vehicle! I definitely won’t be calling this business for any other auto parts needs.

When my daughter let her car engine (vw jetta) blow up (went too long without an oil change) I thought we were screwed. Daves found us a new low mileage engine and put it in for a fraction of what repair shops were quoting us. Back on the road in a week.

Terrible customer services skills.

Last year they helped me find a part for my old van that was a tricky one to find in working condition and wheels to replace my rusted ones. This year they kindly removed the disability lift from my van which has really opened it up. This place always comes through for me. So grateful, thanks guys and Robert who took the lift out.

Bent over backwards 4 me as I am physically hurting. It Took long time they showed 1 available maybe no good so did not show me the rim. They Found one at other yard 4 me. I am happy with them and Will!! return when healthy.

I like the fact that they have lots of Toyota Tacomas that are in my age range. Was easy to find the parts cuz they were right up front. You got to know your Spanish. The guys do speak English so theyre very helpful. I could have found the part used online and had it shipped for about the same price but it was convenient cuz I was already in Otay Mesa. I have come to this yard for many different cars throughout the past five years. I have bought a used rear differential for my mustang, a used engine for my tuson and various other parts. They have been very helpful and installed everything at a savings of almost 50% or more. The engine only cost $1000 installed. Used or not it was a deal in my book. They guys are always busy, but that is usually a good sign. They do warranty their work and it has always been great.

Spent $1000 on a good transmission.Once it was installed, only 5th gear worked.Tore it down, all the clutch packs were burnt out, and the transmission DIDNT WORK.When i called them, they told me im SoL, and i wasted $1000.

Terrible experience, must have been a bad employee. I see theres lots of good reviews for this place but i had a very unprofessional and just bad time. I called and they answer very quickly and then hang up or talk back. Then I just drove to the shop and waited 1 hour for something that was suppose to be “Ready to pick up” I would no recommend this place to none of my friends or family nor anyone I know. These guys HAVE to be the best parts place on THE street of AUTO PART places.I dont write reviews for stuff unless Im paid. I write reviews on SERVICE; thats what Im paying for.After 27 years working with clients, in my opinion, Daves is the place. Ive been here 4 times.Its dirty, the counters filthy, the shop abuzz with activity.There is a huge bull head mounted on the wall.. Says to me, they took bull once, only once.Those who come here, know what they need.Every part I have asked for, if they had it/ them, they had me check it first, pulled it of need be, cleaned it, tested it, and dold it to me for half the going rate. I know because i checked.

This Wrecking yard is awesome. Most of the times they have the parts there in stock and give a very good deals, half price from dealer. Couple of time they did not had the part in stock, but they prontly found it for me and sold it to me. They olso installed a used engine into my wifes SUV and they performed a good job, and the price was really affordable. If i have to recommend a salvage yard in San Diego, Daves would be the first choice.

They are very helpful, and have an excellent customer service.Javier helped me to locate a part for my car. Dealer wanted $1800 and Javier sold it to me for $250

2 years ago I trusted Daves Auto to rebuild my engine on a Toyota Tacoma. I spent 1500 bucks and rented a car for 2 weeks while i waited for Daves Auto to rebuild my engine. They took my money and never rebuilt the engine, which recently blew up. Mechanics in San Diego sadly informed me that the engine was never rebuilt. Daves Auto mechanics are Crooks. they will milk you for all the worth, Run baby Run !

I asked Dave what it coast for the corner tail light for a Toyota Camry 2000, he said $65 I called other places I found it for $40 I saved $25 so I used the difference to but gas in my car and not put it in Daves pocket, Dave is greasy Money hungry.
