Star Towing damaged my bumper while towing my car. I filled out their damage form, and have heard nothing in over two weeks. Bumper needs repainting at a cost greater than the tow. No follow through on their part, or attempt to rectify the damage they caused to my property. Avoid this company. If your vehicle is damaged, you can expect them to take no responsibility for their actions.

Mercedes Benz Roadside Asst assigned my car towing to Star Towing. The driver came out and seemed professional enough. I gave him specific instructions as to where to take my car, THE DEALERSHIP. Almost 24 hours later, my car has not arrived at the dealership and Brendon at Star Towing is super unprofessional and rude, giving me the run around as to why my car was taken to the wrong place. First he said the car went to a collision center per insurance. Then he said he has no idea why the car went to the collision center. Brendon seems to not understand what customer service is and finds it hard to be responsible for talking to people honestly over the phone. He even put me on a 12 minute hold! I would never recommend this company to anyone and will complain to MB of North America as well. I have no idea who was in my car or where it was since the driver took it away from my house. WORST TOWING COMPANY.

Im from out of town. Accidently parked in the wrong space. Got towed. No problem. Called Star Towing, and they said theyre open 24 hours, but we have to pick up by midnight. Cool. Quotes $400. Not bad (it happens, and we own our actions)....Then 90 minutes later, while on our way, we called (third call calling, mind you). Mentioned to the really old woman (who WILL talk over you) that we were on our way (6:15 pm).She says, we only have one guy, and I dont release vehicles. Come on Monday.I explained I live in Arizona and will have four babies under the age 13 who will be homeless tomorrow. We need to leave home. I need my vehicle now for $400, like I was told two hours ago.She didnt care. Not one bit.Maybe theyre fine if you call them and can work on THEIR understaffed schedule.But I implore anyone who uses them electively, to consider placing your money with a company thats far more compassionate to children and families and doesnt (literally) yell to not come get my own car while shes in the office.She also refused to say when the one single employee who releases cara will be back. I plan to file with the California Attorney General if she charges me extra days all because, she wont release vehicles, she has a guy do that for her, and hes on the clock, but busy (LITERALLY).Give your money to a kind company.A family friendly company.A fully staffed company (theyre clearly overworked and hateful about it).Blessings to your families that they dont have to interact with these people 🙏

My Mercedes-Benz broke down and I called roadside assistance and once I got off the phone with them I get a text in less than 5 minutes that a driver will come in 12 minutes, I was amazed. Scam Artists who damaged my vehicle with proof! I have a signed copy of the condition report from the truck driver and a pic of the wheel they damaged on my car with the fresh damage right out of their tow yard! REZA was very rude, said he would get back right away to follow-up after looking at the damage and saying yes it is fresh damage. I called him a week after he said he would get back to me and he said He will deny my claim! VERY BAD BUSINESS - BEWARE! This will be going to small claims court. I will follow-up with more at a later date.

Stole own car from my own parking garage, dragged it 20 miles, made me pay $330 to get it out... All because they called the wrong neighbor building to verify my car was registered to my building, on purpose.

Star Towing is the rudest and most inhospitable organization in all of San Diego. Not only do they discourage tourism, which is much needed for the revival of this fine city, their payment system is hopelessly degenerate. I wanted to pay my fee immediately, and the teller blocked my payment for six hours on August 6, 2018 while I was on vacation, forcing me to wait outside on the dirty street in the middle of the night until I could contact my bank, which, in turn, told me--and provided documentation-- that Star Towing intentionally blocked my payment.

I actually didnt have a car towed but had some questions in another area I wasnt sure of and took a chance and called Star Towing. The lady that answered was so helpful even though it was not directly related to her business. Its nice to run across nice helpful people these days...If I need a tow I will call Star Towing.Thanks

Star towing is the worst!They are irresponsibly. I had to call them five different times in 2 and a 1/2 hours they promised me each time they would be there.they finaly came almost 2hrs 45 min. Later.I was promised a 30 minute window. If I was you I would definitely use somebody else and star Towing. 1-24-2019

I saw a car that they were selling on a Craigslist ad, and I called them and told them I was on my way to come purchase the car. When I got there, they made me wait outside for about 20 minutes.. And when they finally took me in the back they told me they had already sold the car, and they tried to sell me some other pieces of junk they had in their lot. They baited and switched me. Watch out for these crooks.

Professional and courteous. No one likes to get towed but Star towing will take care of you and your ride.

If I could give a negative rating I would. The only reason for the 1 Star is the gal in the office who apologized for the 2 guys I had to deal with in the back . Beyond rude completely unprofessional . If I were broken down somewhere I’d leave my car and walk before I gave Star Towing a penny.

Of course people are not going to like a company that tows your car and charges you money, however I use this company for business purposes and they are very reliable . Reza has helped me get same day tows to Yuma for a reasonable price . Location is very convenient and staff is friendly in person and on the phone . I use them to move mostly high end vehicles .

We had them come to tow our vehicle after an accident, our insurance company sent them over and the tow driver hit the top of the carport knocking off the trim and denting the roof, and after numerous times trying to contact them to take care of it, pay for damages, they will not return calls or emails to take care of this.

I parked in my neighbors stall by mistake and got towed. I went and picked my car up from star towing. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Johnnie was so helpful. Lesson learned. Dont park in your neighbors stall!

This company business practice is very sheisty they engage into illegal towing just remember youre right before they can even touch your vehicle. they have to get permission from the private owner or authorize government agency before they can tow a vehicle. Its the law

Avoid if possible. Star towing towed my car and left it out after I told them it had just been restored. Chipped the fresh paint, cat scratches on hood, passenger door, rear hatch door and cat damaged the inside of car . Center panel inside car broken and scratched the rear bottom of car when towing. Worst experience ever!

Sold us a wonderful tow truck

I have read the reviews, i have experienced thier service, i was towed by law enforcement a couple years ago. It was my sons vehicle. I went to jail (no, not dui) and the vehicle went to impound. I had my son go there to get it out and they wouldnt release it saying the police had a hold on it. I contacted the police from jail and asked why and they said they didnt have a hold on it. For the 4 weeks i was in, Star wouldnt release it or even let my son get my/our belongs out. I have had vehicle towed before, and never EVER have i been denied removal of personal belongings. What was so important you might ask?... passport, 2000.00 in my tools and 600 of someone elses tools, my cell phone and another 400.00 in boat parts. So one of them yard birds got some nice tools. When talking to Reza about why he wouldnt let my son get the tools and personal effects, he said with a smirk.... and i quote...that wouldnt be good business... i swear on my kids he said this. I would push my car amile before i ever called atar towing.

Its day four and I finally got a call back from the management. They said the form I filled out got misplaced and was just found. Why about all the voicemails I left?....misplaced too?...what about the missing money and items from my car they admitted going into?...I took my car in for an estimate from the damages they caused and they said it was unsafe to drive. Now comes the rain...I called them back asking to get a rental car/ compensation for one Id have to rent. They said they havent ever done that before and they would look into it and call me back asap! Its Chrisrmas soon and Im having to uber around to get gifts and go to work. This is so unethical and just terrible customer service. We are a military Fmaily and being treated so poorly and disrespectful for lack of caring and damage they caused being negligent. Im suppose to drive home (out of state) to see family for the holidays and they dont seem to care about that. Id hope they would resolve this issue professionally so I can update this review. This is wrong and they know it. For especially all you service members here in San Diego Id steer clear of these guys and their unethical practices! Its the holidays for Crying out loud, they should be ashamed!!

Best experience ive had with a towing company. Im usually given the run around and have nothing good to say about my experience. getting your vehicle towed obviously sucks but i try to keep in mind its not these companies fault. i spoke on the phone and dealt with DeeDee when i got their to pick up my vehicle and she counldnt have been more helpful and strait forward. she was kind and understanding of my frustration and helped me get my vehicle out efficiently. thank you Dee Dee your the best!!

Said they would charge $75 plus $6 per mile. Once they hooked it up the driver said its an additional $50 for added equipment so basically the office lied on their quote

I was in an accedent and totalled my car and they towed it there, but it was five days before I could get to it to get my things and because it was totaled and the fee was over $400.00 they just let me sign it over to them and I didnt have to pay the fees

Took over an hour to finally update fleet company and customer that were delayed and would be over an hour to respond to just a jumpstart. Order was cancelled. Would never use this company again.
