After doing some leg work on electronic vehicles my husband decided that the VW ID4 was the one for us. It has the most miles to the charge. Its about 196 miles. We bought the white one and the tablet on the dashboard is huge. The vehicle had mood lighting inside and the seats have rolling massagers in them. So much comfort. The employees at the dealership were so nice and accommodating.

Volkswagen Kearny Mesa is a top-notch Sales and service department although I didn’t buy my car there they have serviced it and done the warranty work for my cc, oh it’s expensive but they do serious detail evaluations And service and their customer service is impeccable in spite of the fact that they are extremely busy, More Ike swamped most of the time, Tina and Josh are amazing each one giving stellar customer service and understanding that it’s not always possible to have all of the recommended things done. 2018 Atlas required repair for internal coolant leak due to faulty head gasket. Apparently not uncommon issue. Disappointing for such a new vehicle. Most car companies have figured out how to build a naturally aspirated V6 engine that lasts more than 3 years. Required scheduled service as well ($500 for spark plugs, cabin filter, tire rotation, and oil change - terrible deal). Took 10 days to repair. No updates along the way, but immediately enrolled in their spam email list. Had to drain/flush the oil which mixed with coolant due to the leak, still charged me for the oil change as if it were part of the scheduled service. (They also had oil change itemized on the warranty-covered list for the coolant leak so they are either defrauding me or Volkswagen Corporate since we both were charged for oil changes.) No loaner offered until we were on our way to finally pick up vehicle, and received call that it was not ready after another warning light went off on their test drive (they forgot to connect a sensor correctly). Better car companies/cultures exist and will be sought out in the future for our family vehicles.

Purchased a certified pre owned feel somewhat duped as this is my first VW and didn’t understand that the front sensor in my vehicle was not working. However, the service consultant Reggie Nance went over and beyond in taking care of my car and ensuring that I had a vehicle for the week it was being calibrated. His customer service was impeccable and Im very happy the issue was corrected.

The level of service and professionalism was far beyond what I expected. From the initial contact to the delivery, the process was streamlined and thorough. The staff have a vast amount of knowledge, which they are all eager to share with enthusiasm. The finance department uses an up to date electronic signature pad for all the documents, making it quick and painless. My expectations were definitely exceeded. Was able to make appt quickly. However, at check in nothing was said about them having to keep it overnight. When we called 4 hours after Drop off the person said theyd assumed they were keeping it overnight and they hadnt finished it! Why would they assume we could do without a car for 2 days! Getting rides, taking off work to get it there, ride back and NOT have it finished? Now we have to do the same thing all over again to get it finished! Why wouldnt they call and say we may need to keep it? Why wait until the customer, who is expecting a call to say its done, makes a call to get an update. Service person said they were real busy . Why make appointments if they cant finished. Why not TELL the client they may have to keep it? Poor customer service.

I was stunned by the bad service I got from them. From drop off to pick up and everything in between. The guy that I dealt with was actually rude and difficult to communicate with. I was denied a ride back because my home was .7 miles further than the 5 mile limit, which I was not aware of, so I had to make my own arrangements to get a ride back and wait. Then they called me at 4pm to tell me that the car was ready. When I came to pick it up at 5pm I still had to wait half an hour to get it back. Then when I turned on the engine the radio was blasting and that is not how I left it! Last but not least, I am not happy with the work they did. I paid a ton of money, and there is still some expensive work to be done. Before I had my car serviced regularly at another VW dealer where I lived in Orange county and never had an issue with them. These guys are different...

We are from Salt Lake City, Utah. We were having trouble trying to figure out the tire pressure on our 2021 Atlas (yes... to much technology for us lol). We decided to make a quick stop at this dealership since when we bought it we were told we could stop at any dealership in the country for service. Well.... I wish I wouldve asked for the guys name who talked to us... he was completely rude and COCKY!!! He was on his cell phone and he seemed annoyed he had to hang up to help us out. He spoke Spanish. He was Hispanic. Which is sad because so are we. So we were completely disappointed 😞 he was super rude and careless. The sales associates Im Salt Lake City would of never treated us this way. San Diego VW what a disappointment! If I could give you a zero star review I would. Thank God we wont have to come back to you. Well go to our awesome Strong VW in SLC Utah.

Service was good, but they were overwhelmed and I had to wait 3 hours for an oil change. They gave me a significant discount for the wait! Overall very apologetic and understanding and good service.

I’m disabled and bought this car seen only on the internet. I would have given them 5 stars but when I asked for the sales person to send me photos of the damage on the car they sent me two photos and missed what seems obvious to me, the grill emblem that was missing and broken and the large tear in the arm rest of front passenger door. The car is used so I can’t complain. Kearny Mesa Volkswagen was more than accommodating and delivered the car to my home. I would definitely recommend this dealership!

I have been going here for years, and have purchased both my car and my daughters car here. They are always sending me Coupons for services on my cars. This was the first time I actually got to use one, for an oil change. When I brought my car in for my appointment, Sal was very honest with me and told me that they have been incredibly busy since the Covid rules had changed. He let me know right away that I probably wouldn’t get my car until the end of the day. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is for people to be honest. As usual, the service department went through my car very thoroughly to check for any issues, and I got a full report on paper so that anything I needed to fix was detailed for me. No high pressure sales people in the service department trying to pressure you into services that can wait. I’m sure I’m not the only one who felt the financial pinch because of Covid. He let me know my brakes were probably the most important thing to get done as soon as I could. As always, the service department here was wonderful. Thank you Sal, and all of the mechanics for a great experience.

After searching for a while for just the right car, I finally found it. When I arrived on the lot I was greeted by Angell. He asked if I had a car in mind. I told him what I was looking for and he said that the car was in the back lot. On our way to the back lot Angell asked questions to get to know me and what my needs were. He was very knowledgeable about the car and discussed the features that I said I wanted to make sure they met my needs. Once I test drive the car I knew it was what I was looking for, now I just had to keep my cool. When we started discussing the purchase he made sure that he understood my financial concerns. I went to get my first oil change under my warranty. Also requested a basic wash and tire rotation. Was told my car would likely be ready by 6PM that same day but they would call me when ready. Never got a call or text. Tried calling and they were closed for the day. Next day I called several times to speak to a manager so I could get my car. (It was a Sunday so the Service office was closed and only a sales manager would be able to retrieve my keys) 1st call the rep hung up on me. 2nd I got sent to a random voicemail. 3rd I got transferred to 3 different people, none of which were managers. 4th the rep sent me back to the main menu. After 8 calls, a manager finally reached out. I eventually got my car, and despite the frustration, still ended up paying for services.

Service Advisor Reggie did an outstanding job helping me get my car serviced. When he walked up to my car and recognized me, he first thanked me for being a loyal customer! I have been coming to the dealership since 2013, and he was the first person who ever said that to me.

I called for service appointment on Saturday 09/04/2021 and theyve schedule me for service at 10: 45am. Arrived to the dealership at 10:30am. Surprisingly, they rejected to honor this reservation because they are too busy, and they will not look at my vehicle until the following Tuesday. The first question that came to mind is why you confirmed my reservation and you caused me to drive for 25 minutes for nothing!!!!! They said that reservation is taken by a call center in Texas, and they are not responsible. Thats not a good excuse, because, I called Kearney mesa dealership for this appointment, and got their confirmation. Besides the unfriendly reception of the consultant, I accepted their terms to leave my vehicle for the following Tuesday. The issue I had is that I was not expecting denial of service, so I did not arrange for a lift to go back home. I asked them to drive me back home through their concierge service. Again, they rejected to provide this service because if they drive me to my residence it will cost them $20 while they only allow for $15. I said fine I will pay $5 difference. They said No that is not feasible. This is the worst customer service you would expect from a respected VW brand. I will never use this dealership again.

Efficient in the electronic communication, very friendly staff, but they are very busy. Second time at this service agency. Always something little…lost a key last time. This time I believe that one or more of my TPMS devices were damaged when my tires were rotated. I have not communicated that to them yet. The light went on as soon as I drove a mile or two. I checked to make sure the tires were not low.I have had past experience with these expensive poorly engineered devices so I don’t expect any help. Other than that very efficient experience.

Wonderful experience! The process was transparent, most communication was online via email, and the time at the dealership was painless. Raul first helped us, and then Jorge, both were super helpful and it was a total no-pressure experience which we appreciated.

I cannot say enough good things about the service I received when I brought my car in for work recently. Reggie went above and beyond to ensure my car was road ready before our move. Not only did he get things turned around incredibly quick, he was also considerate of my budget with his recommendations and very pleasant to work with. VW Kearny Mesa completely changed my view and raised the bar on the car buying process, they were exceptional. The faculties and I risk interactions were very welcoming, not pushy, never felt like I was being taken advantage of by a sales person. It was a friendly conversation, transparent on the numbers, complete walk through on the car and setup after purchase, very knowledgeable.

So kind and I accidentally left my car there for two days and they were so nice about it and kept my car safe until I was able to grab it!

Terrible service experience. First, our pre-paid service plan expired, but there was no indication or notification from the dealer which led to confusion and debate when receiving the bill. Instead of explaining that it had expired in a professional manner, I was almost reprimanded for not knowing the terms, and not taking advantage of it more. Second, they did not rotate the tire as was asked. Instead, he told me the tires have to be replaced, although they only have 20K on them. I find that interesting since all my service had been done at this dealership, so if there was a problem at the previous appointment, they never indicated it. Lastely, they did not bother to call about the tires before I picked up the car to tell me. If indeed they needed replacing, it could have been completed that day. But instead, they lost both a tire sale and service customer going forward.

I arrived early and there were a lot of cars, but they still took care of me. I was quoted a finish time of 6p, but they finished by 12pm which I was very happy about because it meant I could avoid the traffic going home. The quoted amount matched what I paid with no pressure to add services.

I just purchased a used car and Michael made the process so easy. Great customer service. Would highly recommended this dealership.
