I have had State Farm insurance for many years on my condo and this year, for the purchase of my new home. Earlier this year agent Neona LaBarbera was able to provide me an quote and communicated efficiently to my lender. Because of her exceptional customer service I was able to have a seamless and safe transition into my my house! Highly recommend.

I am so glad I went to State Farm (Val Myers) for my renters/home insurance. Sara helped prepare my quote and policy. She was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. She quickly prepared and presented me with the quote and policy. My policy was fairly straightforward, but with the level of expertise Sara and the Val Myers team exhibited, I would trust them with all policy needs, from simple to complex. I highly recommend Sara and the Val Myers State Farm team without any reservations!

I normally don’t do this but I’ve been very disappointed with the level of service from Audree. I requested several quotes and thought she would be eager to help me but sadly I felt unappreciated and she was never available to talk to me. I’ve called twice this week and both times she’s been out of the office. She’s a very nice girl I just expected a little bit more.

Unbelievable, I went to this agency thinking its a State Farm, and in Del Mar, it must be a reputable place. But NO, I was bait and switched as I disclosed two accidents my wife had to Cindy Sadoff, and included my 16 year old daughter on the policy. But when the policy was issued it went up a 100% because I was told my wife had two accidents and my 16 year old daughter didnt qualify for a good driver discount. Well how in the heck did Cindy quote a 16year old driver with a good driver discount, as you have to been licensed for 3 years, with 1 ticket or less. Well, you do the math, if shes 16, how could she have qualified? Then when I complained to Cindy, that I told her everything, she claimed that she did disclose the accidents, but the underwriters must have found something else to increase the policy. After further pushing/complaining she came clean to me and Val Myers the owner of the agency that she just forgot to put them on the application. So not only did she lie to me, she totally and deliberately baited and switched me into signing up for a policy that i couldnt afford. By the way, Im an ex insurance agent for 22 years, so I know damn well you must disclose everything when shopping for insurance, as they will eventually find out. NEVER TRUST VAL MYERS for your insurance needs.

This operation is a joke. I am leaving Val Myers after only 8 months and have requested a transfer to another local agent. They don’t deserve to represent State Farm — and thank god I didn’t have to rely on them to process any claims. They are incompetent. As absurd as it sounds, the reason I am leaving is because they could never manage to properly set up an auto-withdrawal of my monthly premium, first from two different credit cards and then from my checking account directly.Nearly every month, payment would fail to process automatically on the due date as promised, and I would receive a frightening notice in the mail saying my coverage was lapsing. Understandably panicked, I would phone in to the office (taking time away from my work day) to figure out the issue, terrified I wouldn’t be covered if there were an accident in my car, or fire in my home. Two different times I was told a representative had accidentally transposed a digit, and they simply needed to enter the information again to process payment and resolve the issue. Fine, but strange, since payment had been confirmed the previous month using that exact same information. Most of the time they had no explanation for why the payment had failed. I tried switching to a Visa card instead of the Amex, thinking maybe it was the card servicer. Eventually, I offered my checking account information thinking that might work. But despite all my efforts, and the constant guarantees it would be fixed for the next month, the problem continued.Every. Single. Month. Finally seven months in, I was fed up and I asked to speak to the manager so I could report the issue and explain why I was looking into taking my business elsewhere. Val Myers - rather haughty, yet baseline apologetic - told me she would see to resolving the issue personally. She took my checking account information again, confirmed it went through while I was still on the phone, then promised me the auto-pay would be set up - detailed in an email follow-up- and that I wouldn’t have any more problems.Lies.I received another scary notice this month. And I never did receive that follow-up email from Val Myers about setting up the auto-payment. So now I’m through. The rot clearly extends from the bottom all the way to the top. I recommend everyone stay away from this office. There is no way I would trust my car, my home, or my life with a snooty Val Myers team who can’t even figure out how to set up an auto-withdrawal.I mean, seriously, just look at her stupid “popped” collar in the professional photos and that should tell you everything you need to know...
