I have been a member for many years and I think we are lucky in San Diego to have a vibrant and relevant writing center like this. There are lots of excellent classes and events throughout the week.

With the exception of Rick Farell, the place sucks. Its beougie . . . and expensive. they have the nerve to call themselves a non-profit and want donations! Ha! they make plenty of money per class. they charge at least $20 a class and have plenty of writers in classes. imagine if every dance studio who charge their students a mere $10 a class, asked for donations? or any school, studio, store . . . you name it! that is just plain wrong. they are very cliquey and most of the writers, can write, ill give them that . . . its just they are so boring, whitebread, unexciting, yawn yawn yawn. ill bet if Nabokov, or Thompson, or Keraouc were in one of their classes before they got famous, theyd have been shunned. because dont you know? SD writers Ink is all about being safe. yep, safe alright, and boring as hell!
