Amazing place!! Great prices and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended!!!
What a fabulous first experience with Courtesy! This shop was recommended by a fellow military spouse while my husband was on deployment. Sandy, Summer, and the team provided me with excellent customer service and flexibility to support me through a vehicle need that was urgent, while giving me the support to fit the drop-off and pickup on my schedule. They finished the service quickly and on an affordable level that will definitely bring me back in the future!
Fixed an oil leak from the front timing cover, put a new belt on, and bolted and welded my exhaust as well. Great people here all around. I would call and they would tell me exactly where they were with the truck and keep me informed. Might be the first shop that’s never added random things to fix then charge me for it. Instead the mechanic (Jesse) just mentioned a couple things that could use work which I agreed and that was it. They got the job done with the price I gave them and it wasn’t a fun job either but they had a great attitude about it. I’ve worked on vehicles myself and taking off a timing cover isn’t a good time when the motor is still in. Overall the best shop I’ve been to. Felt like I was back home like it was a small town shop. I’ll be back for a new front end too.
You guys were great. A long, difficult job, for a very reasonable price. Also once again, a full synthetic oil change for $38.50.You are stuck with me for life.
For nearly 10 years Courtesy Automotive Services has provided exceptional routine and diagnostic service on the newer and older vehicles I’ve owned. I have a fundamental understanding of car mechanics and have always felt they provided honest and competitive charges for their services. Courtesy is a friendly, family-owned business and not the typical high volume auto dealership operation. I certainly appreciate their service appointment structure for scheduling and added convenience.
Very good service as always.I will take my car there fir any repairsI like this place
It’s always a pleasure working with courtsey . I feel like i can trust them 100%!
I thought I might need new brakes. Just needed to get the front rotors machined and rears adjusted. Much better than expected and saved me a lot of money. Worked my car into their busy schedule and got the work done while I waited. Thanks for a great job!
Sandy & everyone I encountered at the shop were magnificent! Professional, timely, and very affordable.Thankful to have found this place!
Beyond excellent!
We had our Chevy van serviced because the A/C went out. They repaired in 1/2 a day and had us up and running. Great service, prices are reasonable and friendly staff. I highly recommend them.
Extreamly Happy!! I am from out of town and my truck started leaking coolant fluid when in San Clemente. I had no idea who was an honest mechanic in town, and took my 2012 F-150 to Courtesy. The initial quote was$489.00, which I approved as it was fair for the work that needed to be done. When I picked up my vehicle they only had to use 1/2 the parts and 1/2 the labor to complete the repair. So they only charged me $204.55. I couldnt beleive the honesty. 5 stars all the way. Truck is also now leak free (and not staining my driveway). Thanks again guys so much!
Rick and the mechanics at Courtesy are TOP notch! I was a little skeptic at first, because there are a few reviews on here that say otherwise... but Orange County (especially south County) is filled with a lot of snowflakes and fakes, and my visit to Courtesy yesterday proved just that. Anyone who thinks Courtesy is anything but a 5 star establishment just simply does not understand auto care :)
Had an emergency repair and was in desperate need of a repair. Courtesy and their technicians really helped me out when I was in need of some help. They helped me out instantly and were super polite. I’ve never had better service than here, I highly recommend this place to anyone.
Well, what can I say, I was only in for an oil change. But they were very nice, I got a quote From Sandy on the phone, no surprises, no fear of future work needed, made a reservation for a day later and they were done in a couple hours, although I mentioned no rush.steve
This place is the BEST! They are definitely the epitome of customer service. I have used Courtesy at least 5 times now and they continue to amaze me. Thank you Courtesy for always taking care of my sons vehicle. You make this momma sleep good at night.
Horrible!!! The mechanic is a thief!! The first quote was for $1700 and a 3-4 day repair, we then get a call something else was wrong. That was fine and they said it was going to be another $200, we said okay and after 2 days we called every day and they always said it should be done tomorrow. Finally over a week later we call and they say it was ready. $2200!! To top it off when we got home my husband noticed parts (heat shields) were missing from his car!! And the AC that was working the morning We dropped it off was not working! We called and they said to bring it in that it must have been an accident that it was just not put back on. I take his car back and waited 4 hours, the owner comes out and says he doesnt know what parts my husband was talking about and he even called the dealer to see if he was missing something. His mechanic put it back on and told him it was never missing! And the AC was not working due to road debree. He finally agreed to pay half and the labor to fix the AC. We agreed to it because they was our best option without going to court. They sound so friendly, but I would not send my worst enemy to them! We are still missing a $60 radiator cap that was replaced with a cheap one.
Ive brought my 2006 BMW here twice since moving to San Clemente in June 2018, and each time they fixed my car promptly and for a reasonable price. A married couple run the business, and are very friendly and helpful. The most recent repair was for replacement of the transmission fluid and transmission pan (I had noticed a slow and minor transmission fluid leak over the past month and when I brought it to BMW of Irvine they said the transmission pan was warped and replacement of it and the fluid would cost me $1160!). I called up several independent BMW/European car repair shops and got two similar and one much lower price estimate ($700), but Courtesy offered a 2-hr. repair with the same work done for about $480. They even found a much lower price for the new transmission fluid, for which BMW wanted $35 per liter (my car needs 9 liters)! The repair, done today, took about 90 minutes. The only reason I dont give them 5 stars is because when I took my car to their shop yesterday for the work, they could not obtain the necessary transmission fluid for several more hours, so I had reschedule the appointment.
The best local family owned car repair shop. Its run by the family and they are amazing people, respectful, honest, friendly and great prices!!!I highly recommend it.
Amazing Family great service impeccable customer service. I brought my vehicle in yesterday with anti freeze pouring underneath my car. Courtesy fixed my car in less than 24hrs fir a ridiculously cheap price and the owner took me to the post office as when the car stopped I was headed to mail my grandsons package. No other business would even have that kind of compassion let alone go out of there way to care about there customers.
The very best on all levels. They live up to their name in customer service and had me back on the road in only a few hours without charging me a fortune. HIGHLY recommend!
The 5 stars are for excelllllllent customer service. I felt so cared for. Compassionate humans can be hars to find especially when money is involved, but the ladies here were that and beyond. Cant speak to the work done, as I couldnt afford the repair. The mechanic seems very knowledgable and honest about hours needed to do the work.
If somethings wrong while youre on the road this is a great place to stop. The staff was exceptionally friendly. People forget how much the customer service counts when youre vehicle stops running. Called me first thing in the morning to assure me they would look at it!
Loved this place! The staff was so friendly, Tina was awesome! The price for an oil change left my wallet full too! :D Highly recommended.
I moved to Orange County in 2013 and drove an old ‘93 Jeep Cherokee. It developed an issue shortly after I arrived, as it would lurch whenever it shifted from 2nd to 3rd gear. I took it to one place in Dana Point, and they wanted to charge me $700 to take apart the transmission to diagnose the problem. I decided to get a second opinion on the matter and drive to Courtesy Automotive. I dropped my Jeep off, and a few hours later I received a call saying that after driving it around, the mechanic was able to diagnose the problem (a bad speed sensor) and could fix it for around $120, labor included. I have never gone anywhere else after that.
I drove my son’s Camaro from Texas to Camp Pendleton; halfway into the trip the car started misfiring and the check engine light came on. When I arrived in San Clemente, I chose this shop from a Google search because they are open until 4:00 PM on Sat. and they’re close to where I’m staying in town. You never know what you’ll get when go to a car repair place without a referral, so I was bracing for the worst. I have to say that the owners were very friendly and empathetic to my situation. They offered my son a military discount, and charged a very fair price on parts and labor. Plus, they completed the work on the same day that I brought it into the shop. I’m very pleased with Courtesy Automotive and will be recommending that my son bring his car here for all his auto repair while at Camp Pendleton.
Had an emergency due to my brakes going out while on the highway, the nearest open auto repair was Courtesy and I was very lucky since it turned out to be an honest, capable and kind service, too bad I live quite far from it.
I was having some electrical trouble in my 2005 Prius and was out of the country. My girlfriend took it to them and it was ready for me when I got back. So far so good. She is driving nice. Was only charged $50 for the labor and that included a full electrical diagnosis of potential drains on the auxiliary battery and the swap. Thank you!
I have been going to Courtesy for a few years. I have a 2000 F150 with some quirks. The customer service and quality of work is exceptional.
Great staff and fixed the multitude of problems in a fraction of the time and fraction of the cost than several other shops that quoted me. Highly recommended
Friendly staff, Family owned and the most honest repair shop Ive ever visited
Courteus and knowledgeable staff. Extremely reasonable rates.
Absolutely terrible and dangerous place to take your car. I wanted to be nice and not do an online review about them, but now my review will be with the Department of Consumer Affairs and small claims court with punitive damages.
Beware everyone they will not do quality work! The will rob you with unnessasary repairs! Then claim you need something else! Beware! The owner, his wife, and daughter are wonderful, but sadly the mechanics are awful!!
This place is horrible. I took my 01 expedition to replace head gaskets they said 3 days when I got it back a week later the didnt put on my timing chain correct another 2 days I get it back and my heater hose fell off leaving me stranded in laguna beach for hours.... then I had to get the correct heater hose (he got the wrong one) and pay for it my self... then my spark plugs went out but at that point I took my car elsewhere. .. dont go here the owner kniws nothing and mechanics hate their job...one told me himself...
Absolutely the WORST automotive business around, people in the front office have no clue what is going on. Service sucks. I will never bring my vehicle back to this place.
Honest, Friendly and reliable, I wont go anywhere else
