Ok, kids...this one will take a while so sit back and relax.Apparently, the Wal-Mart at 3302 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78223 near Brooks city base is in business with Martinez Eagle One towing. On Wednesday, my friend visited Brooks City Wal-Mart. It was around 1p.m when he finished shopping and returned to his truck; he experienced some mechanical issues so he left the truck and caught a ride home. Now, everyones seen the news stories where Wal-Mart allows travelers and travel trailers to stay a night or two in their parking lots around the country so he figured itd be fine til he could get back with some help. This fella is a retired combat vet who spent 27+ years in the U.S. Army. He served 6 combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and retired in Spring 16. Hes also 100% disabled, and has disabled veteran plates on his truck. He lives in Adkins now so he frequents this area and this Wal-Mart.Friday afternoon, I manage to get him back to the Wal-Mart--his truck is gone. Hes anxiety-riddled thinking someone mustve stolen it. He goes inside to see if any manager can help with information. As I wait outside, I figure maybe it was towed. Could it be? Would someone tow this disabled vets truck from Wal-Mart?While the management team is swearing inside no-one called a tow truck, I call Growden St impound--thats the citys lot. The gent who answers the phone says, yep, it was picked up and gives me a number to call.A woman answers the phone. I explain Im looking for a vehicle, I describe it, explain the Growden lot says her place has it. I hear her speaking back and forth to some man in the background. Who are you and whos the owner?, she asks. I answer her questions. She, with the assistance of the male voice in the background, is being incredibly evasive. I explain I just need the business hours, and the address. She says she can only give that info to the truck owner. I tell her a business address and hours should be releasable to the public--these arent national secrets. She provides the address, says they close at 5 p.m., and we must give them an hours notice. I explain its 4 p.m., and this is notice.I call my friend whos still in the store, and tell him to ditty! I make it in a lightning fast 11 minutes. On the ride over he explains what transpired inside the Wal-Mart, how the managers on duty all swore they hadnt called, how it wouldnt have been an issue even for at least 48 hours. Something here does not compute. Now, this spot is behind a gate so theres no just pulling in. He calls, the same woman says itll be 5 minutes. We wait 15, still nothing. I can see the office about 100 yards off the road. While were waiting, I call Wal-Mart because there are logic holes here. I get a member of the mgt team, Priscilla, on the phone again and ask the critical question...so no-one called a tow truck, but you folks have a contract with this towing company, right? Yes is her response. My friend takes the phone to tell her how disingenuous theyd been. Same time, a guy drives to the gate, and says my friend will have to walk in. I explain hes a 100% disabled vet. They seem unmoved, but let me drive him up. I took pix of the signs because they dispute the info I was given over the phone. Is closing time 5 or 6? We discover they picked up the truck Thurs at 0430 which means that truck had been in that lot maybe 15 hours. It cost my friend $280 to get his truck back.Martinez Eagle One and Wal-Mart, you both should be ashamed. Neither of you will see another dime from either of us. This review will be posted to Wal-Marts website and sent to the citys news rooms as well.
Very fast and friendly
Terrible driving. Crossed 3 lanes of traffic going 80 mph and cut us off on a packed hwy.
Driver was courteous make no mistakes
Great service
Well his employees Oscar posted a ad on Facebook that they where selling a 2003 Chevy for $1,600 spoke with Oscar and agree he was going to sale it to me and I when and rent a trailer for $100 he texted me late at night that he had sold it what kind of business is this no wonder this business has a poor rating
Car illegally towed from Wal-Mart asked managers if they allowed them to tow the vehicle, they said no called eagle towing the best company ever saying that they had every right to. I then filed a police report and they said they did YET AGAIN I walked in explained what I was told and yet again (recorded) him saying none of his employs or management let them tow my vehicle. ( I had papers inside to call before towing guess what no calls) I than later on confronted the lady she rudely refused to give me the managers name. I asked for her name she refused to give me her full name, I asked for a manager she said their wasnt one in. I called an hour later and was told she did not have a manager and yet again refused to give me her full name. She acted very rudely towards me and yet again refused to give me the managers name from the Wal-Mart they got right to take my car from.-1/1 You had one job to answer who was the manager that gave you the right.
These guys towed my truck and trailer which was fully functional and when they picked it up. And when I went to pick it up it would not move they broke something and they are trying to deny it. I have my proof that it was fully functional so I will see them in court . They are very rude and do not answer the phone . They try to make excuse for everything. The driver was rude and very aggressive when we confronted him, and the guy in the office was just saying I don’t want to hear it . Like common now you damage my property and you don’t want hear ? Well don’t damage people property and you will not have too. Worst towing place ever .
Really fast service when i called them VERY polite & helpful
Working with Eagle One Towing I found them to be a very sophisticated and professional organization. They were expedient in towing my truck that was wrecked to the vendor of repair. Great staff.
Ive whitnessed multiple drivers for this company commiting dangerous acts while towing multiple vehicles. Quite regularly see them breaking the speed limit in excess of 20mph while towing vehicles. I dont know about the rest of yall, but I wouldnt trust this company to transport a lawn mower let alone a $20,000 + car/truck. If I could Id rate them 0 stars, but Google wont allow a rating that low.
They just cut me off at 410 and Culebra and then decided to flick me off. How professional they truly deserve -5 starts for their professionalism.
Their drivers have no regard for speedlimits nor public safety. just had one of theirs fly through a neighborhood at double the speed limit. if you want unsafe and unproffessional go with these guys
Tell your drivers to slow down theyre going to kill someone. Speed limits are not suggestions
Targeting trucks @ Walmart is shameful! As a paying customer, I will park where I want!! OK, Beatriz!! Everything you wear, eat & drive comes in a big truck!! Just an FYI.
Good service friendly employee
Bad service, beware they damage your vehicles and they tell it was like that .
Your drivers are disgraceful pigs.
They scratched my truck and then hung up on me. Very poor customer service. Dont use them.
Thieves.
