I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while, and I am finally getting the care and dental help I need. I don’t have insurance which is a drag but thank goodness I have a good enough job where I can start working on my teeth. This place is so amazing and I love the staff, the front office ladies are so nice as well, Explaining all pricing and the options of my needs. Dr Nguyen is the best and very attentive, I’m happy to say this will be my dental home forever. 💖

Hernando was amazing and sweet, and so were the desk staff. They even tell you the prices of optional things like x-rays and fluorite treatments upfront, something Ive never seen before! You really get the sense that they love what they do and care about their work and the patient.

Broke my back crown molar, was trying to get a temp put on until I could afford to get a new crown. The lady would was only interested in selling me a new crown at $1300. Explained that I did not have dental insurance and that I needed a few weeks to get the money if they could put a temp on the molar until then. Was told if I had half of the $1300 they would be able to help me.The all mighty dollar prevails once again. Let the guy have a bad tooth until he gets money. Thanks for your compassion.

This review is a recount of my experience at Daniela Dental and the organizational administration that oversees this dental office. I hope that my encounter is unique and not common practice to other patients but hope that my experience helps you make an informed decision regarding the dental care you seek.In February I decided to seek a new dental provider for an annual exam. Using my insurance’s search tool, I found Daniela Dental as an in-network provider. My first appointment was scheduled and attended, resulting in the development of a dental treatment plan. In short, the dentist determined the need for two fillings (#3 and 4) and a crown (#20). At the next appointment, all three of the treatments were received. Everything seemed rather routine up to this point, but it was the outcome of these three treatments that have unfortunately influenced me to provide this review.In the weeks to follow, pain and discomfort emerged. Communication lacked and the paint soon became incapacitating to the point where mobility was limited and I could not work, my daily functionality was compromised. Upon attempting to schedule an appointment on a Thursday, I was notified that there was not any availability until Monday, due to short manning. To some degree, I completely understood, but after notifying the office of the pain severity and that Ibuprofen, nor acetaminophen subdued the pain, I was still offered Ibuprofen and steroids until Monday.After I could not garner a sooner appointment or medications to mitigate the pain, I felt no other option but to seek treatment elsewhere. Over the course of the next four months (Feb-July), I have since received THREE root canals, on all three teeth that originally received treatment at Daniela Dental. Although understated, it truly has been a disheartening and miserable experience to face this scenario within the healthcare industry. After the second root canal, I contacted the organizational administration that oversees Daniela Dental. This was to report the damage that came following the care I received, as well as hoping to make the situation amicable. As a result, I was informed that the dentist no longer practiced at Daniela Dental and was offered reimbursement of the initial crown I received, which totaled $607.50. To date, I have paid over $6,200 out-of-pocket to repair the damage I received at Daniela Dental. I elected to decline their offer and have since filed an official compliant with the Texas Board of Dental Examiners (TBDE).With all this, I truly hope my experience was unique. Furthermore, I hope this recount aids in your informed decision when seeking care.Best Wishes

We feel so lucky to have found this practice. The staff are friendly and informative. They explained our dental coverage better than our insurance carrier had! The hygenists are so kind and caring and have the very latest equipment. They give you an amazing tour of your mouth! And, the cleaning is both thorough and gentle, which we appreciate. The dentist is super sweet and highly trained. I got off easy but she made me aware of teeth to watch. My partner needed some serious work, which we expected. The dentist was able to perform the work within a couple of weeks AND within the limits of pur dental plan. Thank you, Daniela Dental! Well be back for ongoing dental health.

Outstanding service, They walked me through everything and explained options. They were even able to schedule same day extraction to relieve my pain and stayed open later for it. Dr.Nguyen is amazing, her hygienist were so kind and helpful. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Had a great experience during my recent visit (12/21/20). The staff was friendly and helpful. Fernando, did a great job during the x-Ray and cleaning process. Enjoyed my conversation with him. David too was such a gentlemen wanting to stay with me until my husband arrived to pick me up after closing. While I truly appreciated his kindness I insisted he go on it was a holiday week. As it turned out my husband got there before David drove off. So thank you for hanging around anyway.

I was traveling in a motor home through San Antonio and had extreme pain in my back teeth. Daniela Dental got me in for an exam that day and diagnosed that my impacted wisdom tooth was infected. The surgeon was available and the extraction was done that same day. The surgeon even followed up the next day and did some minor adjustments to the wound for no charge. The professionalism and courtesy shown to a traveler was outstanding. If I was a resident of this area, I would strongly consider making this my regular dental service. Thanks again!!

I have a lot anxiety going to the Dentist so when I go I want someone who is gentle and caring and two of those hygienist are April and Fernando. April is very friendly and very gentle and so is Fernando. Fernando is just so kind and compassionate .

All the staff were professional and friendly. Treatment plan was reviewed with me thoroughly.Dr. Lee was very informative and made me feel comfortable aswell as her DA David. Excited to come back and get my treatment.

Had the worst experience. I went last year to have a crown completed. Well needless to say that same tooth I just had a root canal completed. Not even a year after getting the tooth crowned.I have not been back since the crown was completed. They would not listen to me when having my temporary crown placed and I set in the office an hour why thy fought to get the temporary crown off. Then I needed other work done on the my other side and she did not listen to me about that and was more interested in me getting another crown and paying another 1200 dollars out of pocket for a tooth that was not bothering me at the time or was not my main concern. I repeat I had some other things going on the same side on the bottom I was concerned about and that should have been concerning to her. They are all about taken your money. The doctor was nice but very interested in me getting the work she wanted me to get done and not listening to what I was saying. Have not been back since and will never go back again. Have since found another dentist. Please be aware.

I rate a place high if they dont try to repeatedly sell me appliances and treatments that I have already said no to. I know they have those extras, and if I ever want these things, I can ask.And as an added bonus, the young man who always cleans my teeth is very gentle and has a good personality.

I just got filling my tooth today 3/9/21 but I still feel sensitive and the food sticks thereafter paying $300. I am in health profession school, the first thing I learned was how to create bonds with the patient, but Dr. Lee didnt have any communication skills with the patient and her assistant. The job was pretty quick but not helpful. I wouldnt recommend here, anyone.

Filling fell off. Got fixed again and now the dental floss gets caught on the filling. Went back and was told thats how it is. Also not to put the floss and pull on it.I am not sure if that is correct or not.

WORST DENTAL OFFICE, ITS ALL A SCAM!!! Avoid at all cost, I went in for the $89 basic cleaning special. In the middle of my cleaning the hygienist made me get up to go look at options and prices. Then told me the doctor recommended a $800 cleaning. When I said no, stopped the cleaning and said she could only do what’s recommended. When I again refused the service. They said I couldn’t leave without paying a $50 cleaning and consultation fee. WHAT CLEANING? WHAR CONSULT? I wasted 2 hours just to leave with a mouth full of soap. Save you time and money go to a real dental office.

I HIGHLY recommend Daniela Dental. I have been seen there so far by Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Patel for TWO separate root canals. Both dentists have done amazing jobs at taking care of my teeth. Both dentists are very nice and knowledgeable. They explained to me my options regarding both separate occasions and answered my questions thoroughly. The office staff are just wonderful as well. From the moment you walk in, it’s a very friendly environment and they are very helpful and efficient in directing Patient care as a team. This last time I had to go for an emergency root canal and they were able to fit me in that same day immediately and Dr. Patel did an amazing job. Dr. Patel displays amazing bed side manners and just the compassion he has for his patients is superb. He made what would’ve felt like a frightening painful experience, better (which is surprising to say). I’m so glad I found this place and will continue to keep coming for all future dental work. It’s an easy 5 stars from me.

I have had a bad dental experience so I am picky when it comes to choosing a dentist. I have now been with Daniela Dental for several years and can highly recommend her. I have been a customer long enough to see that like with any mistakes will be made but how they are handled is what matters most and they are handled well at Daniela Dental. When it comes to the dentist, you wont find someone better than Dr. Nguyen.

Clean Facility, nice staff . Dentist either did not want to do my root canal or had no clue what she was doing but I was an x-ray tech during my time in the navy and so I obviously learned how to read common x-rays. I told the dentist what tooth was hurting (8.5 out of 10 pain). Told her I hadn’t taken any meds since 8pm the previous day and literally showed her the “dark spot” on my tooth (number 5) and was told by her that “I’m not sure, which tooth it is...I don’t want to extract tooth 5 and 6 and it is wrong. I will have you come back in two days to be seen by my coworker”. I was shocked. I literally would have paid anything to get my tooth fixed. They saw me short notice and maybe she didn’t want to spend 2 hours fixing my tooth but it was plain as day that she did not want to provide me service. The pain was so much that I even asked her just for a Lydocaine shot to numb the pain which she was willing to give because in her words “it will numb pain 5 or 6 hours which will help you with pain” but I changed my mind and decided to go somewhere else. Which I did and had the root canal on number 5 that same day. I hate to put a negative review on anyone’s business but the truth is the truth. I was treated well by the staff but like I stated previously either the dentist did not want to perform my routine or she clearly was incompetent to see the dark spot reaching my root via the X-ray. I highly doubt it was the latter. I would not recommend this place.

Got a extraction and they ended up cutting a piece of my gum that was away from the extraction site, which is now extremely infected and painful to even talk. They were rough taking my tooth out.

Dr Damiela Nguyen is EXCELLENT. She cares and shows it. I am lucky to have her as my dentist.

I have a possible case of TMJ. Explained everything on the phone and to tech day of arrival. They perform a panoramic X-ray which clearly showed my right jaw was inflamed. The dentist wanted to perform some more bitewing X-rays but I couldn’t because it hurt to open my mouth. She came on and stated because I couldn’t open my mouth she couldn’t give me a diagnosis and handed me a referral sheet for oral surgeons and that was it. This was a wasted trip. I been in pain. Ii ft when I made the appt they should have asked here is what we are looking for etc. now, I’m looking for another dentist. Another night of pain.

My overall experience with this practice has been very frustrating. I was referred to this practice by a coworker when being caught off guard with dental pain. They actually accommodated me that same day I called since I was referred. This was great and considering of them. They took me late afternoon around 4pm. Well, based on my overall experience which I will explain later, now I can see how they may just be interested in your money. The hygienist assisting me was in a bad mood, and the communication between her and the dentist seemed tense. It appears the hygienist was upset she had to stay late after the dentist completed her part. I sensed the tension as the hygienist was rough and could not hide her frustration with me. I thanked her when I left and apologized that she had to stay late for me (I must have left around 7pm). She stated she was not asked or aware that she would be staying late that day.I then went back for a follow up appointment for the remaining of my procedure-crown services.The practice overcharged me without me knowing. They even helped me apply for a credit card I could use at their practice because even with insurance, my bill was still $1500.I later kept getting a bill from them that I still owed almost $800. When I called to inquire about it, they could not give me an answer, but only stated not to worry about it as it was most likely that the insurance hadn’t received the claim yet. I continued to get the bill with the same answer.I decided to call my insurance, and it’s when I found out that the allowed charges for my services were around $700 and I had overpaid almost $800, and was still getting an invoice. I tried calling them several times leaving messages with the front staff numerous times. They did not address the issue and I felt ignored. I finally was given the managers name, and she stated she had not heard about my concern-mind you, I had been calling many times for a span of months. She was out of the office and explained that now that she was aware, she would fix it.I explained that they were submitting claims to my medical insurance as if it was my primary insurance instead of completely removing it as I had dental insurance. I explained what I thought the issue was based on what my dental insurance informed me. The manager always seems very busy, stressed, and in a hurry, and my concerns were not addressed. I continued to follow up via email, and I finally received a check, but not for the full amount owed.I continue to patiently wait for this to be addressed. I have been cordial, respectful, and very patient. This overpayment was from August 2019, and I still haven’t resolved it.My overall experience has been very frustrating as I feel like their disorganization, incompetence, and miscommunication within their staff has impacted the customer service I received.I hate to leave such a long poor review, but I would hate this happen to someone else. It’s very unacceptable.Please keep a close eye on your explanation of benefits if you are using them to avoid any overcharging. I was additionally quoted on Invisalign twice within a couple of months and the first time it was $8k, and the second $4k with the same insurance. When I asked why the large discrepancy, I was told the cost just fluctuated like that.Please beware.

Nobody loves going to the dentist, but this office handles you with care and respect. I have gone in to have cleanings and some work and each time is a great experience. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. I feel that if I ever need anything this office can handle it. They have my trust.

This is the best Dentist you could ever see. Not just Dr D. Nguyen who is amazing but her staff is wonderful. Very professional and kind especially for a big baby like me. They helped relieve my anxiety. I had a bridge done to my front teeth which can be very scary because you can’t hide your front teeth. Dr D Nguyen explained the process and reassured me at every follow up. I received my final bridge today and could not be more pleased. It looks very natural she uses a high end lab. I can’t thank Dr Nguyen and her staff at Daniela Dental for being absolutely amazing. I would recommend this dentist to anyone.

I love my dental hygienist. However, I dont suggest scheduling your appointment within the first hour of opening because you will not be seen on time due to their office meeting always running over....at least that is my personal experience everytime I have scheduled at 830 AM appointment.

Daniela Dental created a new bridge for me and it turned out fantastic. The staff is amazing and very helpful and warm and welcoming. They make me feel at home. I will continue to to return for all my cleanings and special care. I would highly recommend Daniela Dental to anyone looking for anything from cleaning to implants or bridges. Recommended by a friend and took care of a tooth that needed a crown. I didn’t have dental insurance at the time and helped by allowing me do a payment plan. Great customer service, friendly staff and hands down an outstanding dentist. I highly recommend this dental.

My appointment was for a 6 month cleaning and as usual, I only waited about 8 minutes before they called my name. The cleaning was again, as usual, fast and easy....no pain, etc. I was out of there in about 15-20 minutes at the most. All of the employees are very friendly and courteous, each with a lovely smile. Things that used to be NO FUN going to the dentist or doctor, is now changed to almost being enjoyable.

They made everything so easy ! I went cause I had a infection caused by my wisdom teeth. Got them taken out and i literally felt no pain afterwards. If your nervous about getting your wisdom teeth taken out dont be ! They made it so easy and worry free ! I highly recommend coming here to do the procedure ! Staff Is great and its in and out !

I had my wisdom teeth extraction done by this dental office about a month ago. They recommended the IV sedation as one of the roots of the wisdom teeth was pushed up against a nerve in my mouth. The IV sedation worked wonderfully and I’m very glad I got it done.

I love this place. I was visiting family in San Antonio and had a crown come loose. I called several places who could not find the time to fit me in and help me and then I called Daniela. Daniela Dental said “sure come on down !” It was Friday afternoon and I’m sure the staff here all wanted to go home but they cemented my crown, did a really solid job and it wasn’t painful. Oh- and they were all amazingly sweet and patient! Thanks DD!
