Member since 2016, but cancelled today due to shady billing practices. My account was suspended due to pandemic and had no intention on in person visits until its 100% safer. Got a call reminding me that the suspension was expiring and rather than just getting my request to extend suspension by phone, they add a hoop-- I must log in to do that. Well of course I was late doing it and they were able to bill me full price for two months.Called them today to correct the issue and get my refund for those months were I never attended (as they knew I wouldnt). Rather than do right by the member and refund the mistaken billing they responded that they would not do that because they didnt have to as the agreement clearly states that they could because my suspension renewal was late. Penny wise pound foolish.I understand that that this pandemic is hurting your business but stealing money from your loyal members in order to stay open is just bad business.

We like Lifetime a lot. Most of the staff are nice except some that works at childcare. Noticed a lot of eye rolling from Cassie every time we drop our kids off. Additionally, the gym isnt over sold, you can actually get on a machine here and there. Overall, it’s a great gym, clean, our kids also love Bishop!

Good equipment and amenities. Friendly staff and members.Mens locker rooms need some work regarding hygiene. Showers always smell like sewer, drains need maintenance; this really bursts the bubble of a high end fitness club experience. Other than that its a great club with great location. Life Time app is pretty cool for scheduling classes and spa services.

As nice as the amenities are, the staff never answer any questions with absolutes and the gym is ALWAYS so packed that you can never use any equipment. I think they should consider quality over quantity of memberships. Also consider talking to your staff about when things are open and in operation to better relay to members.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this gym. Dont get me wrong its a beautiful facility and was great all until I got charged for a full months membership when I already canceled it. Ive been given the run around from the managers. When I was told I was going to get a call back about my issue I was told it slipped her mind to follow up. I had to call several times over a week to get anywhere. They will take your money no problem but if you need a refund it will take almost 2 weeks to get it back. Buyer beware.

Might as well change name to Lifetime Airlines. Lifetime on 281 was “upgraded” from Platinum to Onyx club, not sure why… Because nowadays LTF feels more like a Ryan Air with all of the “one time fees” and amenities reduction…

I’ve done Gold’s and LA fitness before, this place is pricey but you get what you pay for. Way cleaner, way more equipment, always big stacks of towels available, and the main thing - when equipment breaks they actually fix it. Gold’s would have stuff sit broken for weeks at a time, it’s rarely more than a day here.

Rude staff always, unless you’re paying for personal training, or are a female dressed in a sports bra and shorts. It’s also always crazy busy and maybe 75% of their machines work at any one time. The sauna and steam room stink like a karate dojo. Waste of money.

Its a great place to workout. Plenty of equipment and free weights. It gets busy, but if you go early morning or late at night, its not too busy. I see a lot of people complaining about not wearing masks. People are wearing them except when they are working out. People need to understand it is a guideline. Its not easy to breathe with a mask when exerting energy. I have asthma and need to use my inhaler during my workouts. If it is important for you to wear a mask, then go ahead. You wearing it will make you safe. Dont worry about the other person. There might be a good reason why they are not wearing it while working out. And if you feel that strongly about it, stay home. Dont go anywhere. Lock yourself in your home. Because this virus isnt going away.

I just took my very first yoga class since quarantine and wow Im Loving the space between each mat. Ive never liked it crowded where I feel I have no wiggle room. This allowed me to have breathing room and room to fall if needed. It feels so great to be back

Was in San Antonio visiting my son and family and was at the gym with them. I must say, that is the best gym Ive ever been in! Ever! Lifetime is an amazing, family place.

Beautifully maintained Gym offering the finest of gym equipment. Group classes in Reformer Pilates, Yoga, Aerobics, and boot camp classes. Great indoor and outdoor pools with water slides, Saunas in the locker rooms, Hot tubs, Children Daycare programs, excellent trainers, above average facilities and amazing staff!

Love this place. They did a great job reopening and it feels very clean. I am sure it is just me, but really enjoying the low occupancy for now as we ease back into life.The only negative is no steam room. I swear that alone is worth the membership cost.

I am writing this 5 star review to offset all of the whiners complaining about masks.This is a fabulous workout facility. The sauna, steam room, and pools are great.Stay at home if youre afraid of the world. You can even wear your mask at home too!

Helpful and load with equipment that I would hang clothes on at my house . When I feel like working out I lay down till it passes. But I do like the TV in mens locker room and warm towels

Equipment and facilities are pretty dated, unlike other Life Time locations I’ve visited in other states (more specifically AZ). Very poor customer service. Offered a promotion when I signed up and never received what was promised (LT bucks). Asked a couple of times to speak with the manager, was promised I would get a call back and never heard from anyone. Flat out lied when I asked about cancelation practices where they told me there is no notice period anymore. Spoke with the central customer service. They also promised someone from this location was going to call me. Today is day 9 and I am yet to hear from someone. So yeah, not the best customer service at this location.

I’ve done LA fitness 24 hr fitness and everything in between. This place is legit, pricy-but you get what you pay for, premium soap, great cafe, towel service and the equipment all works.

I just moved to San Antonio and I have finally found a solid gym!! Very clean facility with many many amenities!! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff!!

Best gym in town for the family. **Update** Safety should always be first. From that review to a gym with a disregard for the safety of its members I found this pool light on the floor of pool after telling lifeguard I was told it happens all the time. What a shame for such a nice gym. I also informed the pool manager who stated there are many lights like that and she has a work order in but the light company is not returning calls. Safety should always be first.

This place has been so careful since the beginning of COVID, it’s highly appreciated. Also had a training session with Kendall Peoples, it was no joke. He’s funny and knowledgeable, I recommend seeing him if you’re interested in personal training!

Love this gym and the staff. Super friendly and inviting. When I was signing up I felt no pressure to do so and instead was just told the facts & allowed to tour & test the place. Amazing amount of equipment, very impressed with the 12 squat/DL platforms they have. They also have classes that are included in your membership, no extra payments! Moved away from my old gym & feeling very spoiled in the new environment.

Has a lot of amenities for the membership. But the salon is a little shady for not upfront telling you the prices you will pay for hair cuts, pedicures and ect... so you go in blindsided and broke afterwards.

These people are thieves! I spoke with a manager by the name of Dustin on today. I called to ask why money was being taken out of my account and I no longer have a membership. He stated that I was being charged because my account was on hold and my money could not be refunded even though I no longer seek services with them. He stated that the only way to speak with corporate was to come into the facility. He was extremely rude and sarcastic. If you ever have an issue AVOID DUSTIN!

Very expensive for what they offer. gym is dirty and they dont have anyone cleaning the exercise equipment with the exception of 1:00pm. they took away the hand sanitizers and most people ARENT WEARING A MASK! Not to mention, restrooms are a complete trash and the manager doesnt care a bit!

Very well maintained gym and the employees are very courteous. Also they are doing a great job with the covid rules. I’m seeing a lot of 1 star reviews because of masks but most people follow the rules, you can’t make the employees mask police, covid #’s are way down I mean get over yourselves youmask lunatics. I absolutely LOVE Lifetime! Every location I have visited, I have always had a good experience. The facility is open 24/7, clean, spacious, and various activities/classes are offered. There is a vast variety of workout machines, wet and dry saunas, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, basketball courts, rock climbing wall, and the list goes on. The pricing is a bit high compared to other gyms, but you definitely get what you pay for!

On a recent trip to San Antonio, my family and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio North hotel, and my daughter loves to swim, we asked about the pool, the lady at the reception told us that the pool area was closed and she told us that while we stay at the hotel we could use the LIFE TIME facilities for free, excellent suggestion, we loved the facilities and the indoor pool

On January 2nd at 9pm a person from lifetime broke into my locker and stole money from my wallet I am pressing charges against the individual since it was a felony theft amount. I am also pursuing civil litigation against lifetime for their poor security practices which allowed this felony theft to occur. I have been a member since 2016 and this is absolutely unacceptable

Im going to be as straightforward as possible in this review. I have been a Life Time member here in SA for 5 or so years now and have never once had an issue, not once. Everyone is friendly as can be and in the 5 years, I had to freeze my account once (didnt have an issue here either, they immediately froze me).However, I feel its necessary to let it be known that I called the 281 location to freeze my account due to COVID-19 (I currently run a fitness studio, so Im trying to limit my exposure for both my team and members) and when I called, the member services desk told me to freeze my account or cancel its a 30 day notice (I can get behind the cancel aspect, not the freeze). One, most people dont know 30 days in advance that they need to freeze and two, we are in the middle of a global pandemic.I was told I could either come inside or mail in my request, but they do not do it electronically. Again, that seems a bit reckless to not offer a electronic version because Im always going to opt in to visit the location over mailing a letter. What is stopping others, who feel sick from doing the same? Not everyone realizes they carry the virus either.Separately, I was exposed to the virus directly and wanted to freeze because I was pending results. I was told I could still come inside to freeze...I then questioned her because why would you want someone exposed coming in to potentially increase the exposure in your establishment? I posed another question and stated if I were positive for COVID-19, I would still be able to come in and cancel, seeing as the options were mailing or that and she said yes.That was all I needed to decide its time to end my relationship with Life Time. Its a clear indicator that customer service is not a priority, as well as, either a lack of training or education on protocols. Obviously, youd hope everyone uses their senses to not go in if exposed or has it, but you cant assume that of everybody.I truly hope the mentality shifts and Life Time finds a way to accommodate the global pandemic and its members. There is a balance between profit and customer care.Side note: I did believe they were doing their diligence in cleaning; I know wipes are hard to come by in the fitness industry and back ordered, but they did have paper towels and spray available for use as well.

Ive been on the fence about getting a membership because it looked very expensive. Suzanne Hermann gave us a personal tour and showed us all the amenities that came with the membership for free. Ernesto Diaz and her really worked with us to make sure everything was within our budget and we would be happy there. We have been members here for a few weeks and couldnt be happier. Nick Reed, my trainer, is killing it, every day. He is on point and always helpful. Damien at member services helped me my first day, and remembers my name and my entire family every single time we go. He always goes out of his way to help me if my hands are full carrying the baby, or just seeing me in the hallway and makes small talk seeing how things are going for us. Val and Summer at the pool area always take care of the kids, they offer personal attention making sure the are learning in swim class. They are great instructors. The staff at the child care center are so warm and caring. They interact with the kids and always give you feedback on how they were. They are top notch at this place.

Stunning facility. Employees were friendly, all tried their best to answer questions. All the amenities you could ask for, but $99+ a month is not quite worth it. Or it might be, for you?

Besides finding multiple times women hair on men’s towels, oversized bags on the workout area (not safety) thefts on the locker room & multiple out service equipment, then everything else is fine. While I was taking a shower they stole my boots and Mangers just think that is normal and that it will happen in any other LTF around the country. I don’t think is normal to need to take care of underwear and shoes thieves. Therefore, I won’t recommend anyone to join this place.

This gym is amazing! I was only in town for a short time and Maximo and his team were so accommodating! The gym is huge with everything you could want- rows of treadmills and ellipticals, squat racks and benches. They have several areas with free weights, medicine balls, kettle bells, steps, mats, anything you could want for interval training! I never got the chance to use the pool or try a class in my short time, but they were available. Childcare was available and the restaurant there looked great. Place was clean, cool, and great music! I wish I lived in town so I could become a member, but highly recommend. If not for the great facilities and equipment, then for the hospitality and kindness in the employees!

Good gym, clean, friendly staff.

I noticed that the front desk personal chooses who they want to say hi to. I always say hello with some greeters saying no response and just scanning my phone to enter. There is a new girl who is polite but the tall guy with dark hair is pretty rude and makes faces. The trainers just pass you by don’t acknowledge you unless they know you. I think it’s pretty rude and I been a member for 5 years and it has changed to much. I’m finally thinking about canceling my membership.

A great health club with many classes! I enjoyed the morning cycle classes and using the pools. The staff is friendly too.

We loved it there. Kids had fun with swimming classes and the pool. We liked working out there and all other amenities.

Despite all the good and hard efforts of all team members, their clientele shares a rainbow of opinions, and are hard to control. After 8 yrs I have seen exponentiel growth ✔ Injustice lays in a 😞 Stryke policy enforcing goid manners to Yogis 🤔 apart from now No more masks unless you wish to wear one.

We love it here. Nice variety of classes and instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. The swim staff is awesome. Childcare has been fine and they recently started adding crafts and activities for the kids which makes them more excited to go. Only wish the rock climbing wall had better hours. Right now it’s only weekends and saturdays, which stinks. They should have some sort of certification to get so you can climb whenever you want.

This gym is way to crowded and when machines or anything that is broken it takes them too long to fix, over priced for what you get.

Excellent, clean and safe. Plenty of handicap parking . Great yoga classes, excellent bicycling classes. One. Complaint . Wife says the gym has not been using eucalyptus oil in the women’s steam room. She has brought this matter to their attention several times. Ignored. Other than that, which cost them a star. Get it together life time gym. It’s a stellar gym otherwise. We love this Gymand their staff.

Only giving a 3 because I was a member for years at the location in Gilbert, AZ and loved it. Great place and staff. Moved here looking to transfer my membership and immediately noticed the not-so-friendly staff. The cost was much more when the facilities were identical - something about the club level but I saw nothing different. So, I took my business down the road to Golds.

Lifetime Manhattan Skye has a particularly lovely spa area with a polar plunge by the eucalyptis sauna Very refreshing and invigorating especially when paired with a lap swim under the skylights with views of towering skyscrapers. Membership

I was at the LifeSpa greeted by their sweet kind Manager Blanca and I just got a Pedicure from Jess and an eyebrow wax with Kristina and they did such an amazing job that not only are they my new favorites but I already pre-booked my next appointments to see them! They were kind-hearted, professional, passionate about what they do, caring and lots of fun because I’m a bubbly chatty gal (Lol) So I love making conversations with them.I also love the products they use because I have sensitive skin and everything they used worked great for my skin. I love the Cucumber 🥒 cream Jess used on my feet so much that I had to buy the one on the shelf (Lol) and unlike other places where they used Vasoline on my eyebrows to reduce redness (which don’t get me wrong it works too) but I love the sunscreen Kristina used because not only did it feel good and reduce redness but the scent was fruity that it just made you feel like you were on a retreat.And BTW-I’m so glad not only for the gym reopening but the LifeSpa is back too because EVERYONE THERE IS AN ESSENTIAL! Great gym and staff but when I decided to cancel my membership in December they continued to bill me all the way up to March. I worked with Damian, multiple times he reassured me my membership was cancelled and the refund was on the way. Now 4 months later and still haven’t gotten my refund. They offered no compensation for the hours I’ve spent dealing with them either
