I called The Computer Shop when I was trying to build my own gaming PC for the first time. While I was able to install the RAM, CPU, Hard Drive and a few components myself, I didnt feel comfortable moving forward. So I scheduled an appointment to have someone come out and finish the build. When I checked my front door at the time the person was scheduled to be there, I saw him walking up. You cant really beat that. He finished my PC build relatively quickly, was professional, and did a good job of cable management, and everything booted the first time.I would recommend.

I highly recommend The Computer Shop. Even though they had a problem with my laptop, I was informed about the problem and the progress in a timely manner. At the end I was very happy with their service and my laptop is working great. I will definitely use them again.

I spilt OJ on my work computer and everything was stuck.. When I walked in I got full attention to my issue. Not only did they fix my issue, they fixed my computer in minutes. My technician Seth took my computer and within minutes had me squared away and back to work. They are awesome!!

These folks are excellent! Very knowledgeable. The guy even remembered DOS commands for Windows XP long after support ended. They have rescued me twice. Very honest, reasonable, and nice. A bunch of very nice, knowledgeable guys who just want to help you when your computer nightmare happens. I am so glad they are in my neighborhood.

I have been using their services since they opened. We live in Cibolo now and its worth the peace of mind to continue using them. Finding a business that does great work at a fair price with friendly people seems harder and harder to find these days, but these make it look easy. Without fail, The Computer Shop has fixed every single issue Ive ever had. Theyre a bit tough to find initially, but youll be glad you found them.

I was so impressed with these guys! My super old pc was DOA and they diagnosed the problem within 2 hours of dropping it off. They had the part needed and installed it the same day. When I picked it up the next day the price was less than I had anticipated. As a bonus, they never once made fun of me for having a 20 year old computer!

Excellent customer service and convenient hours. I was very pleased with the 8 point optimization service they performed on my fathers computer and the fact that staff took time to answer my questions about improving security. In addition, they traced the problem he was having with the display to a setting for color blindness that had been activated. No one in my family had been able to solve that one!

I remembered the excellent customer service I received years ago and the kind Thank You note afterwards. It blew me away. I still have The Computer Shops magnetic business card on my fridge.Fast forward to last week when I couldnt connect my laptop to my wireless network. I brought my computer in and Alex Alfaro, one of their capable and friendly technician, diagnosed my problem. He was kind and patient and answered my questions in laywomans terms. The end result was I need a new laptop. Ill be back to transfer my data to my new one. Thank you, Alex and The Computer Shop, for giving excellent customer service!

I needed my computer setup to dual boot with both Linux and Windows. Not only were they able to do this for me but they were also able to transfer all of my data that I had created a disk image with and was able restore it on the new setup. There was an additional antivirus that was on my computer but that was an easy delete. Both Linux and Windows run just fine with no issues. Also after price shopping with other tech repair shops including Geek Squad, which was the most expensive. They were able to do this for just under $150.00 after tax which was the cheapest quote I had found.

I called the Computer Shop for a consultation on replacing my about to be antiquated Windows 7 PC. Alex came out and listened to all that I didnt like about my Windows 7 PC and concerns about moving to Windows 10. I asked him about getting a faster PC that would better suit my needs. Alex inspected my current PC and informed me that it had a great processor and by increasing the RAM and replacing the mechanical HD with an SSD I would have much better performance and be running on Windows 10. I told him to work his magic and in less than12 hours I had my upgraded PC back with all my files intact. The machine runs beautifully now and I couldnt be happier with Alex and the Computer Shop. Five stars for sure!

The Computer Shop rewired our entire 23 year old Architecture Office. They were extremely helpful in suggesting the most efficient routing for our problematic facility. Stephen made it a point to do a follow up inspection a week after completion to make sure everything was working correctly and to our satisfaction. Great customer service and a quick turn around! They quickly figured out what the issue was and kept me up to date with the status. Sadly, the parts I needed are no longer manufactured (5 year old custom made parts), so they werent able to fix it, but they didnt charge me for diagnostics since they werent able to repair my laptop. If I have any future computer issues Im going to them first.

I took my non-working laptop in for repair, I was told it was not a hardware issue but that it had a virus. The gentleman answered all my questions and concerns over the phone, the problem was resolved and they even optimized it for me at a very fair price. Computer runs great, I would definitely recommend to friend!

I left specific instructions NOT to install any software on my computer or change anything. But the young dude thought he should reset my Internet Explorer back to default. No viruses, no malware, no reason to do it. I lost all my cookies, logins, passwords, security settings, and my work environment. When confronted with the damage, he argued with me that it was not installing anything. Duh dude, what do you think dont change anything means? Anyway, its weeks later and Im still working on getting back all my settings just right and my passwords. Pissant!

My laptop was not functioning and I called a few shops to get an idea of the cost to repair. The GEEK Squad wanted 199$ just to diagnose the problem. I decided to go to the Computer Shop on Vance Jackson Rd as their estimate was the lowest. when I arrived, the tech, Mike, put a start-up disk in it, used it to performed a scandisk and verified that the HD (which the self diagnostic program on the laptop said was not responding) was OK. He did some other stuff, and BINGO!, my lap top was up and running. I asked how much and he said NOTHING! FREE! WOW. I refused the free repair cost and payed him for his time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me, a Senior Design Engineer.

Had a bad PSU on my desktop, which caused the computer to randomly restart under load.The first time I took it to them, they said its because my windows updates were not configured, and they were sure that was the problem. I asked them if they could install Windows 10 for me and they charged $250 overall for the job.Obviously, the problem wasnt solved and I took the desktop there again, this time they at least diagnosed the problem correctly, and they charged me $560 to replace the PSU, when the cost of the PSU in the market ws ~$150.So, its apparent that these guys are super expensive, and if you are not informed in the world of computers, your wallet is in for a hard time when you go with them.Oh, and yes, the guy who diagnosed the faulty PSU as a Windows Update issue was Logan.
