Like another local guide, I called this a cracked screen. I have the exact model, etc and they advised it would be $99.00 for a diagnostic. As a computer professional, I can verify that diagnosing a cracked screen should not require anything more than walking up to counter and opening the laptop. $99.00, really?I asked them if they would simply take down my number and the model, etc and have a tech call or text me. They never left me a message.Also look at how many reviewers only have a few or one review and that tells you a lot...I ended up going to Steve just north on 35 about 5 minutes away but I dont think Im supposed to name his shop.As a pro for over 30 years, there are a few things that arent worth my time when under warranty and this guy and his staff are exactly what you are looking for.UPDATE:I understand your response. Knowing computers, I KNOW it only needed a screen replacement and not an hour of diagnostics. I also KNOW that the other shops I spoke with simply said to bring it in and quoted me around $50 labor to replace the screen with no diagnostic fee. All Lenovo repair shops.

This company remotely did an exceptional and professional fix for my computer problems that I had spent many hours trying to correct. I give them a solid 5 on a scale of 1 to 5. Plan to use them in the future as they are excellent and economical. No wasted time. Thank you. Dave

I received service from CDR Business IT Solutions on 20 April. My computer died I thought. Upon arrival the tech rep, Bruce, quickly determined and resolved the problem. The service was very prompt, efficient, and reasonable cost. Bruce was patient and helpful and professional. In addition to the excellent service from the rep, the office staff was professional, and gave clear, courteous and concise information. I can easily recommend this company and will use them for any of my future needs.

Computer Doctor was recommended by a friend and it was definitely a good recommendation. I dropped off my Dell all-in one and within 2 days I was able to pick it up! I had a bad hard drive but the techs were able to recover my essential information. I thought the price very reasonable and I now have a larger hard drive than I did originally.

I dont envy this staff. Its usually an emergency. No one knows how it happened...it just stopped and doesnt work. We all need it tomorrow even though the time to even diagnose the issue is 24 hours. The industry is full of rip offs and hacks so trust is truly a problem. I have to tell you that we had a laptop issue that had a number of contributing factors part of which involved operator error. That said, it took a couple of tries but the staff here was always honest and professional. They explained the issues to me with the best manner I could understand and frankly did a great job. Ive already returned a couple of times with questions they have answered. Ive had it with the alleged big box expertise and the number you become when you try to get service there. I consider the Computer Doctor our first stop for answers and repair.

I went in to get my battery and power jack fixed on my laptop. So glad I found this place. My laptop works even better now. They really took the time to listen to me and worked with my schedule because I need my laptop for school. Also the price is very affordable considering how many things that needed to be fixed. I called to get a price quote for a damaged laptop screen. Was told that it could be anywhere from $150-$300 plus an unknown cost for labor. The reason for the range, the person I talked to didnt want to spend time looking up the cost of the screen because I may not even go forward with the repair. I have the model and serial number to look up the cost. Seems very lazy and not helpful at all in determining if the price they are eventually going to charge is reasonable.Maybe they do great work, maybe they dont. I dont know. Just horrible customer service right up front means I will not use them.FYI, this is a work computer. I have to get it fixed. Will go through with the repair. Just needed a reasonable price quote.

While working on my computer, I heard the death hummm sound, and the screen went black. It was a hard-drive issue, and I thought I lost all of my data, pictures, and everything work related. I stepped in to computer doctors in a bit of a bind. I was in San Antonio for a conference and my computer decided to stop charging the Monday before my Thursday morning presentation. I walk in on Tuesday morning telling them that my DC power jack was loose and needed it replaced, and it needed to be done by Thursday. I asked them if they could have it done by Thursday, they said if I paid for all the expedited costs they could for sure have it done.Then they ordered the wrong part. Wouldnt be done by Thursday. I asked them if I could have the part number so I could just repair it myself. No we cant give you that information. What? I told them to just fix it and send it to me when I returned to the country in a week so I wouldnt have to worry about it when I was away (more business).I told them to ship it to me six days ago, and it was shipped yesterday. It will be arriving tomorrow approximately 20 days after I dropped it off. Granted a week of that was me being out of town, but still.Dont go.

DO NOT GO HERE! I rarely post bad reviews but honestly I would rather buy a new laptop than give this company any more money. The unprofessionalism, rudeness, and carelessness of this company was shocking. I went in on a Tues was told diagnostic would be done by wed but without an update, I ended up having to call myself. They told me I could have it cleaned of viruses or if I just wiped the computer and started over new it would take less time and be ready by Thurs and also that it might end up in better result. It was a no brainer since I only use the computer for school. I was told i could get a virus protection through them and of course knowing the inevitable i said yes. Thursday came around and I got no update. Friday came around and no update so I called around 3pm and was told the manager was busy so she will call me back. I waited 2 hours and had to call back myself. I was given the same excuse that manager was busy so i told them i had heard that 2 hours ago and i really need a call. The front desk girl assured me i would get a call. Of course I heard nothing. Saturday morning i called and there was no answer and what a surprise!? no voicemail box. Then i drove up there saturday to see a sign that said they were closed saturday sunday and monday for memorial day. How convenient. I wish i had been told that beforehand but of course i hadnt talked to anyone with answers in 3 days so how could i. Tuesday at 1pm they finally call. I go in to pick up my computer after a week of them having it they ask me if now i want virus protection software installed. Which I already told them yes in a phone call last week but they obviously dont keep records. So at this point i tell them NO because i just want my computer out of their possession. The lady goes in the back to get my computer and i can hear the tech say so im guessing no antivirus?? Wow whats the definition of insanity? He is basically calling me an idiot! So i say hey i can hear you the lady comes back and pretends nothing happened as she explains to me that they in fact did not wipe my computer like we talked about on the phone. Im so glad to have my computer back. I will never go there again. Again, the unprofessionalism, rudeness, and carelessness of this company was shocking. I dont care if you need a week to fix the computer but be honest, up front, and get on the same page as the clients. Oh and keep the door to the tech guys office closed.

They ruined my comp! One of their computer specialist whom bragged about having worked for big companies and had NOTHING to show for it when it came to fixing our comp. A simple data recovery turned into a nightmare! Resorted to geek squad and they fixed it! These guys ARE supposed to KNOW more than the squad; quite the contrary. 3 other businesses sought to have someone fix their comp. I highly discouraged them from using these guys and they are pleased with the result going with someone else!

Very unprofessional business. Going into and interview coming out with “the job” people make a copy of my social security card and my ID I call back a few days later and they say that they have no record of me or records of me copying my ID or Social when I was standing there and watching them make a copy of it. I wouldn’t want to work for a company like that either way when they toured me around the office everything was very unorganized all of the computers were thrown on top of each other, which I find rude because that’s the customers property. I asked to talk to the owner when I called about the position and she said Elle was in charge of hiring people when she wasn’t the one that gave me the interview it was the owner. Very poor business. Skip it.

Looking for another repair shop I didnt have the name for. Stumbled on this shop right next to my favorite restaurant. They fixed it (nothing serious, just missing screws on the screen frame) and didnt charge me. So they made a customer for life! Highly recommend for any laptop repair!

1 star from my experience, 0 if I could. They had my hard drive for several weeks, they never touched it and said they still were working on it. I fixed in 10 minutes with a free data recovery software. I dont recommend this place at all. On top, they kept the $100 deposit for doing nothing. Unprofessional and abusive.

Be careful, as with any computer place, this place will exploit you if you let them. Had them repair the charger port for a laptop, price wasnt terrible, but they called and asked if the mouse was working on the laptop before I brought it in. Dont you think Id mention the mouse not working? Maybe you guys should do some basic checking if youre going to be removing components... Apparently the mouse was not plugged in correctly (Oh, really? I never would have guessed that) Apparently it was my fault! They charged me $79 to reattach the mouse that they didnt attach properly. I could have easily done this myself by removing the mouse from the base and inserting the data strip into the socket, but they didnt even tell me they were going to charge me! They just went ahead and did it then charged me when I went in to pick it up.This is a pretty crappy business model, and I encourage anyone who gets called with a non-working mouse to be careful they dont exploit you.

Do NOT take your computer to this store. They are incompetent, rude, and unorganized. After five days of silence, I had to call them asking for an update and they had not even looked at the computer. Then one of their employees proceeded to call me with updates about TWO DIFFERENT COMPUTERS THAT WERENT EVEN MINE. I took the computer in with two of the keys not working and picked it up with the keyboard completely useless and unconnected to the laptop due to an error on their end. GO SOMEWHERE THAT IS APPLE CERTIFIED.

My USB drive that I had four years worth of work on stopped working suddenly on 3-23-15. After unsuccessfully trying to fix the drive myself, I looked online and found San Antonio Computer Doctor.I took it in to the office on the morning of 3-26-15. ALL of the staff was very kind, and I had the pleasure of working with Jessika. She was (is) super friendly and explained the entire process thoroughly. While she made no promises to recover my data, she was VERY optimistic about their abilities to recover the data I thought was lost forever.I was kept informed/updated every step of the way! Communication was not an issue at all. On 4-3-15, Jessika called me and told me that SACD was able to recover 100% of my data. Yes, 100%!!! I picked up my new USB drive today (4-10-15), and all my data is here, exactly the way I last remember.I HIGHLY recommend SACD. They are very knowledgeable, very courteous, and will take care of you!!!

Do not use these people. They didnt fix my computer. They couldnt figure out why my battery wouldnt charge. So, they ordered me a new charger for my laptop (and a new bottom piece because I accidentally dropped it). Somehow it magically charged when they had it but when I got home it didnt work. It cost me $170 and they did absolutely nothing but order a new charger (which I could have done myself)! The laptop still did not charge. My husband had to spend an extra $15 on ebay to order a dc adapter and replace that. He had to fix it for me. Also, they obviously didnt open it up or they would have seen that the piece holding the dc adapter was broken. They said theyd get back to me and see if we could return the charger to dell, but they never called me again. $170 for nothing. Dont waste your time or your money. They were nice though. . . as they took all my money.
