I went to her, since she was recommended by family and friends. Ample time was provided, but the dress was NOT ready, until the day before the wedding. I had to make 3 trips. She also chopped off the back tail (train) of my dress, which I specifically ask her to leave alone and to not touch it. She completed the job, by adding beaded sash, and adjusting the hem, and removing my train (tail end). Not happy with the timing of her work and cutting of part of the dress...I would not recommend going to her place.08. 21.21.

Miss Gloria is amazing. I came back with my husband’s snap back that our puppy chewed up. She was able to switch it out and it looks like a new hat. I took my childs karate pants for hemming on Wednesday and they were ready by Friday afternoon. I forgot to pick them up on Friday for my childs karate lesson early on Saturday morning. Gloria was nice enough to let me pick them up Saturday earlier than 10AM when she normally opens. Hemming service was very inexpensive and I was happy with the finished pants. Would highly recommend her for your alteration needs.

I am 100% satisfied with this neighborhood lady who does alterations. Gloria does good work, treats you like family, is very affordable, and generally doesnt take more than a few days to finish the job. There you go! Changing my previously written review. I am still waiting for Glorias response and resolution concerning 2 brand new linen blouses that I took to have the sleeves cut and tapered. After going 3 times to her shop to have her measure and ensure that the measurement was correct, the sleeves were cut incorrectly and are permanently damaged. I havent been able to find anyone that can repair the damage or any fabric that matches. All I got from Gloria were swatches and a evasive response. By the way the blouses were $70.00 each. She didnt even offer to pay for ruining them. I dont recommend this place.

The experience was awful I was a first time customer I was told my items would be ready the following Tuesday as well this information was written on my receipt when I went to pick my items up I was told they would not be ready until the following week in which my items had already been there for at least five days then I asked for my items Gloria says that’s fine never received an apology Or a call in which I did give my phone number on the receipt a call to at least say your items are not ready a waste of time my advice Go to someone that is professional and of their word. My two items were very basic just needing both items to be shortened.

I would like to say Glorias alterations does an awesome job with my clothing. I have been going to Her for years. I dont want any customers being misguided by a recent post on her untimeliness of finishing their product. Currently in the month of May she is very busy doing prom dresses and wedding dresses. I was able to get my three pair of pants altered timely. she was able to squeeze me in, although she had been back up. I would recommend her services to everyone.

I needed an old dress I wore in a quince to be sized down so it could fit my 3 year old and I wanted some extra material to be sewed on as a cape. It fit my daughter perfectly! My daughter wore the dress downtown for a day in August, and everything stayed in tact and is still in tact even after all the times my daughter has played dress up with it. Gloria only charged me $20 which was a deal compared to other quotes I was getting! She is a sweet lady and finished the dress when she said she would. I was very satisfied.

Loved this place! After taking a dress to be hemmed at another location, they told me it would be $45... obviously I walked out. Gloria hemmed my dress plus another item for a total of $17. She was also super sweet and got my dress done in 2 days after a request for quick turn around.

Gloria is the best. I used to use a place on Culebra for alterations that overcharged me and never had my alterations done when they said they would. Then I found Gloria on google maps. She is fantastic. She is extremely affordable and has my stuff done days quicker than the old place. I cant speak highly enough of her work. And shes very sweet as well. Thanks Gloria!!!

Update: tried her again about about a year. She does good work, however she is very forgetful as she ages. Cant find pants, cant find tickets, doesnt remember when she promised you they would be ready. Products are never ready when promised. I dropped off 7 pair of pants, she wrote on the ticket 6 pair but did the math with 7 pair. When I went to pick up my 7 pair, she said I only gave her 6 pair but yet was charged for 7 pair.Usually has been pretty prompt but this time was not. Came on the date she gave me, was not ready. Came the next day. Not ready. Came 5 days after original promise date and still not ready. Took my items and left.

Nice lady.. but she had me come back 3 different time, over a week and my clothes still werent ready. Very disappointed

Need a small repair on a formal dress. It was just a loose stich and she added material to keep it from opening up again AND to prevent the dress from slipping. For $8?!?! Shes the best. Truly.

Tried this place after my alteration lady retired. Absolutely the worst customer service ever from both the owner and the workers. Took several dresses to her and was promised they would be ready by a certain date and only one was ready. Had texted and called her several times regarding it and didnt get a response from her. Called her on the day of and was told to come that three dresses would ready and only one was. Told her I was disappointed and her only comment was okay. She never once apologized or tried to help solve the problem. To add to that one of her workers was downright rude. I had not spoken to her or even noticed her but she kept making rude side comments for no reason. Would not recommend this business at all!

I cannot express how much I love Gloria, I wanted a skirt shortened and she quoted me LESS THAN HALF the price other local places were telling me it would be, and she got it done well within the time I needed it, just texted me when it was ready and was flexible with the time I was available to pick it up.

Very sweet and kind lady. I came in trying to get a hole in the side of my jeans sewed in. Mind you that I went to 3 other alteration places in SA that tried to charge me from $10 to $20 with a 2-7 day wait. Being a college student who values every dime with a busy schedule, this obviously wouldnt work out for me. Before I could pull the money out of my wallet, Gloria was already done with fixing the hole in my jeans. As I was praising her work and telling her about the other alteration places she laughed and told me that she wouldnt charge me for something so simple. I insisted on paying her but she turned it down. This lady is truly amazing and the next time I visit, I plan on bringing her lunch and some flowers.
