I’ve brought my son here since his second haircut! Every single time I come they are very patient with him (he’s 3 now) and always kind. They always do an amazing job with his cut and there’s no other place I’ll go.

Was a random search for a straight razor shave and this came up. A typical old school barber shop. 2 Barbara and unbelievable conversation between the patrons and barbers as well. The shave was excellent decor wasnt the best but definitely fit the motif. Reasonably priced I give them a 5. A definate go!!

They know what they’re doing. Really good and conveniently located barber. I’ve gone there a few times when I was doing errands around the Downtown area or at school at SAC. I had really good service the 3 times I’ve gone there, however, the reason for not giving 5 stars is because the last couple of times, I’ve felt somewhat rushed and the end result wasn’t as desired. Otherwise, nice people and convenient place to go if you’re in the area.

This place is my go to every time. The guys are experienced and know what theyre doing. I stopped going to any other spot because these guys know how to get it right. While Jerry can get you in and out of there in a only a few minutes while remaining on point, Jesse focuses on detail and can give you that extra edge you might be looking for. After searching for months for an old school barber to cut my hair I think I found one that is truly exceptional - Jesse Gonzales at Galvans Barber Shop off St Marys St near Josephine St. Light. Though its a little out of my way the reviews sounded pretty good so I ventured over. Small little place thats been there for years, and years. Not realizing like many that it was appt only/no walkins, I did go back later that day. He listened to what I wanted, asked a few things and then proceeded to cut. All in all a great cut and nice edge trimmed with foam and razor for a clean finish. Prices start about $20 and go up. Great conversation and customer service. Ill be back! Relaxed atmosphere, never a super long wait unless its before a Fiesta event or the weekend. Cash is preferred. Gerry and Jesse are the best and always provide some great commentary.
