I was disappointed to have schlepped across town from my hotel, on the basis of excellent reviews, only to find the lights on but nobody home. The place is buried in the basement of the very nice Gunter Hotel. On my arrival the lights were on, the TV going, but the doors locked and nobody there. Its 10 am on a Monday. I called twice, phone rang and rang (I could hear it through the door). Must have gone to the bathroom, I thought. Took a seat in the lobby, read the interesting history of the place, and after about 20 minutes the barber showed up with takeaway food clamshell in hand. Okay, I thought, lets go. Nope, I cant help you now, come back this afternoon. I got a guy in a wheelchair coming. Nobody in sight. No offer to see me when done with other invisible client. Cmon, I came all the way from Alaska to get a haircut with you. No deal. Kinda lame Idsay. Enjoy your take-out.

I went in late because I didnt know the hours for the shop, the guy was closing and he still took me in and gave a great cut. Only other one that was on par was Galvans on the south side only two shops Ive been too that cut great hair!
