Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. If your on the Riverwalk keep walking by this place. The only reason I even gave them 2 stars was because the waitress was so nice. Pigeons crapping and landing on everyones table. Take a look at the photos I attached. Absolutely disgusting. The board of health would shut this place down.
The chips (I think homemade) and salsa brought to you at the start of the meal were better than average. The food was edible but not very good expecialy at its price. I have had better tex mex in a frozen box meal better than the food here. The server hardly interacted with us with only getting a refill on my drink at meals end. The view and decor are nice.
Rio Rio Cantina has my new favorite drink … the Sangarita. It is the love child of a red wine sangria and margarita pairing and it is delicious.I have been to Rio Rio before and it is a good place to sit outside near the San Antonia River Walk and sup and drink with friends. When in San Antonio you gotta go to Rio Rio.
I am not sure why it was rated low.......but this was probably our best meal in San Antionio and it was by far some of the best service. We got the family meal....OMG.....it was way better than we could’ve imagined. The salsa was fresh and amazing. And the Margaritas.....shall I say it again....the pitchers of Margaritas. Top notch. If only I could learn to make them that smoothWe will make another trip just for Rio Rio
This dining adventure started well and friendly. We were seated on the upstairs patio, given paper menus although we were told there was a shortage and were given 2 menus to share for 4 people. I ordered (for just me) the combo fajitas, Steak Ranchero, queso to eat with the chips, Pepsi, and a Mexican Coke. I know a lot for one person. I never got the Pepsi but luckily wasn’t charged for it but was charged for 2 Mexican cokes. The food took quite awhile to come out and when it did they forgot one persons sour cream, my tortillas that were supposed to be for my enchiladas and a part of someone else’s order. On top of that I couldn’t eat the steak ranchero right away because none of the silverware bundles had knives in them. By the time that I got a knife and went to cut into it, it was all grissle or fat or just very hard to cut. Not very good quality meat for $25. I informed the waitress at the end that it was not good and she did ask if I was asking to have it removed but I was not. I ordered it, it just wasn’t good. One of the other checks in our party was incorrect as well. The fajitas were ok but not the best.
Not very impressed and wouldn’t recommend eating at. Hostess was unfazed and lacked customer service skills, sat me at a dirty table outside and didn’t seem to notice or care. I changed tables twice myself and both were dirty as well so finally cleaned off the table myself with my hand wipes. Paper menus were used, but reused and not thrown away (so much for covid; why not use the normal plastic menus since they’re not cleaned and re-used as i watched 4 times the paper menus being returned to the hostess stand.I ordered water and was brought a .25 cent bottle of cheaply bought from a warehouse in bulk and CHARGED $3 for it. Why was i not told no free water OR ice at the restaurant (although margaritas were being served on the rocks at the table next to me). I should have walked away then but didn’t find out until the bill came i was charged $3 for the small bottle pictured above.3 cheese enchiladas with rice and Borracho beans was very bland. Rice cold and beans tasted like water, no flavor. Enchiladas were skimpy/small and not worth the $12.Chips salty and good as well as the salsa.
This place was one of the Mexican places at the river walk . It was decent with good mexican food and cocktails. The happy hour menu is a sham . They do not have much there and the price is not that different than the original.Service was average as well . Some of the items were missing and we did not get the sauces which we requested for . It was busy no doubt but thats how businesses work . You need to do well under pressure.Do not get the dessert from the menu . Its bad ! Gladly they did not charge us for it .We got the enchiladas and the tortilla soup along with the happy hour margaritas. Nothing great other than the normal .Its the view and the ambience for which you are paying . But there are plenty of other options around too .
Yummmmmy! Had the steak fajitas during dinner...PORTION WAS HUGE! My sister and I ordered our own but we should’ve shared Bc it’s a lot of food. The beef was so tender; fall off the bone and easy to chew. I never had such tender steak fajitas. My kids ordered the fish tacos and loved them but the steak fajitas was definitely the star!Service was excellent. We sat by the river but was swarmed w bees 🐝 and relocated tables 3 times! The staff helped and was so sweet about it.There was a mariachi band playing music for everyone and it was such a fun atmosphere to be in. Definitely would highly recommend!
The worst place to eat Mexican food, this place was recommended by the guys who drive the River boat, they said it was an excellent place to eat. The restaurant is very, very dirty the table and chars were soiled with food from the previous guests, our food order took forever to get and my Mojito was pure lemonade with mint leaves, Frankly, this place was horrible, would not suggest it to other people. Terrible restaurant. This place was anything but excellent and the employees were rude and didnt care. We would never go back here and we suggest you dont either. If you do, go at your own risk.
Went there with my husband and sister whos in town visiting from out of state. We get to the restaurant at noon and it didnt take long to get seated which was great. All down hill from there. Took about 20 minutes just to get water (when it was 90° out). Then another 20 minutes to get the waitress back to order an appetizer. Once we ordered our food we waited for an HOUR. Three tables who were seated about 30+ minutes after we had even ordered got their plates. Finally after 1:30 I went and asked the waitress about it. She didnt even apologize or give an explanation. So I asked if they could at least give it to us to go. Then another 15 minutes went by and I told her to just cancel it and in the snarkiest way said Great! Have a nice day! Like she was mad at ME for being upset that we waited almost 2 hours for our food! Absolute garbage staff and service!
I ended up leaving before trying their food because they have at least 3 signs saying dont feed the ducks but I watched the servers throw leftover chips to them in the river. Not only is it hypocritical, but can kill the ducks. Spend your money elsewhere.
I’ll start by saying that they have decent food if you dine in. DONT EVER DO TAKE OUT! I’ve made the mistake of take out twice and never will I do it again. Simply put, they completely f__k the order up and tie the bags up so you have to rip them apart to check the order. Just do yourself a favor. Don’t get anything to go.
We ordered the fish tacos and chicken fajitas, freaking phenomenal. The bartender was very attentive and recommended everything we ate. Great meal and experience overall.
We ordered food, about 40 minutes later the waitress (in training) says she lost her book which our order was in…but when she originally took down our order it wasn’t written down. When our food finally came out an hour later, my date’s order was incorrect and she had to send it back to get the correct meal. Drinks were good, food was average - probably a reason why they could seat us right away.
Food was great and plentiful. Fast friendly service.
The food was very bland. Ground beef was was dried. The rice was crunchy and hard to chew. The queso for your chips tasted like Velveeta cheese in the microwave. The pinto beans were not cooked all the way. Restrooms are really dirty and the floors are super greasy upstairs. People that say this restaurant is good. Never had real Mexican food before
Prickly Margarita was a hit. The street tacos El pastor were very good and our service was prompt and efficient with Ninette. She was the best.. thanks for serving us :)
Food here was good. Coworker and I ate here for breakfast. Service wasnt too bad and the breakfast tacos were good. They werent the best tacos Ive ever had in my life, but they were good and edible. Our service was okay as well. Once again, our service wasnt the best Ive ever had, but it was good.I have no complaints at all. Just your average food and service.
Listen, I live in San Antonio, a lot of these bad reviews say stuff like dirty and honestly... yeah. But also nobody here eats at Rio Rio or the Original to have the best service around, or the best health score. The food is good, its on the Riverwalk, the energy is nice, if youre looking for a slice of San Antonio then youre in the right spot. If youre looking for cleaner tables and better service, then choose Landrys or Mortons.
We ate at Rio Rio on a Friday night, which is would consider one of their busiest nights of the week. Their seating is kind of strange. There’s no list, so you kind of have to stand there awkwardly with the hostess to wait for a table. If you walk away, your chance goes with it. Service was kind of slow. We were told it was understaffed. But I will have to give them the credit for the food tasting great. We did enjoy and eat everything we were served. Maybe next time they’ll be staffed properly. We will definitely consider eating there again.
We went on a Saturday evening, so it was busy. Our server Jacob was very friendly and attentive. Food was great and so was the service! Great 2nd floor view of the river walk.
I had a horrible experience here. My family of 4 drive from Dallas to San Antonio and we chose this location because they had no line. We waited over 25 minutes to just get our waters. An additional 20 or so mi to take our order. 3 full tables of 7 and 9 and 6 came around the time we received our waters. THEY RECEIVED THERE COMPLETE TABLE ORDERS INSTANTLY BEFORE WE RECEIVED OURS. By this time we were there nearly an hour of just sitting there. We placed our orders and 3 of our orders were not correct. But we had drove and just ate it. My grandmother ordered flour crunch tacos not knowing it was going to be a basic store purchased shells. My sister ordered a quesadilla and the tortillas were crunchy and hard to bite. My food was half way cold. The chicken on my grandmothers and cousins tacos were basically boiled chicken NO TYPE OF SEASONINGS. We we gave ip trying to eat it she brought the receipt without asking if we were all together or separate(we are all adult age). So when we requested separate tickets 2 had additional charges and the waitress was upset that she was wrong. I used a card they all gave cash. She didn’t even give my cousin her $3.12 change and not once did she give us eye contact or even attempt to place it in ours hands. Waiters rolling there eyes when you ask for items. They put sour cream guacamole w jalapeños all in a small side bowl and the juices mixed together. IT WAS AN OVER AL HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR MY FAMILY NEVER AGAIN!!
Used to come here years ago. They had the absolute BEST chili relleno in the entire universe! It had shredded beef mixed with raisins and either walnuts or pecans. Cheese and a wonderful coating. It was to die for! Now, they dont. That thing set Rio Rio apart from all the rest. Now its a generic tourist destination. What a shame.
The location was good with tables right by the riverfront, they also have free chips and salsa ( broken chips and a little too watery salsa but okay enough)The vegetarian quesadilla had a lot of vegetables, so I really enjoyed it,The happy hour margarita was strong, so that was good too.The hostess could use a few pleasant greetings though to make the customers feel welcomed.
Came here after waiting for about 20 minutes at another restaurant, the fact that there no wait for this restaurant should have been a red flag.Seated fast and surprised by fresh chips and good salsa. Dont be fooled, I got brisket tacos and my wife got chalupas and that was the sorriest looking food Ive seen in awhile. Youll have a better meal at taco bell and pay a third the price.
Was visiting from Washington and made a 3 hour drive down from Houston to have food that tastes like greasy Taco Bell and drinks are watered down, I don’t think there was any alcohol in the two 16$ drinks I ordered. Was seated and had the manager be aggressive towards my group because we were seated in reserved seats and instead of talking to her employees came over to us and gave us a hard time, we ended up having to grab our stuff and appetizers and move. Worst customer service I’ve received in a long time, go anywhere but here I’ve had McDonald’s that tastes better.
So the ducks are really cool. (But dont feed them). My coffee came in a Styrofoam cup. 45 minutes later I ask another waitress for our food and our waitress materialized. Ours was to be the next ticket as they have two levels and service on the walk is always slow. Lots of choices here so pick a different one. Cant say much about the food because an hour in and we do not have it yet
Went there with daughter and 3 grandsons I ate the combo fajitas. Did not care for the taste, the presentation or anything else. The margaritas @ 12.00 or so tasted like dirty water without liquor. In short, did not care for this place at all. The two young children cannot eat cheese and my daughter asked for no cheese. They came out with cheese and were returned. Then they were brought out remade. At the end when I asked why we were charged for the cheese, I was told that although she did not say she ordered like that they charge it anyway. The waiter came back claiming that he could not make the correction because it was too involved but offered o give me the difference from his tip money. RIDICULOUS. To top it all off we were charged for automatic gratuity at 18%. Again the food 👎 the presentation 👎the service 👎👎
$78 for roast - not fajita meat - and a literal teaspoon of guacamole! We own a ranch, raise cattle and sell beef ... although it had a good char flavor, this was absolutely not fajita beef. Chips, tortillas and salsa were good. Server was attentive but it took 50 minutes to receive our two entrees. Fajita plate had strings of plastic that looked like hair. We are sensitive to the challenges of the service industry .... and appreciate those willing to work and trying to make things better but to serve subpar food at inflated prices is not acceptable. Table was very wobbly and drinks spilled easily. If the restaurant industry wasn’t struggling, we would have walked out.
The service was terrible, I got a small bowl of Guacamole and was charged $11 for it. When I ask “hey this is an $11 bowl of Guacamole”, they took it off. I really think they get it from a store, it is just plain Guacamole. I was charged for two Micheladas, that I did get, but was charged $6.25 for one and $5.50 fir the other one. They also charged me for a third beer which I didn’t get or order. Our glasses where empty most of the time because it’s hot and outside and we would ask repeatedly for water. Ask for another salsa that came when we were almost done eating. They brought a queso we never ordered. It took almost an hour to order. Then they started turning people away because they where closing early. At 5
We were able to get a table right next to the river with no wait! The chips were decent but the service and the food was bad. Our server seemed very aloof and brought us 3 waters when we had 4 people and was confused when we needed another water. Then we got our food and the chicken was grey. We asked our waitress and she said yes it is grey and people ask why it looks like that but it is fajita chicken?? We didnt end up eating it. Bottom line their chicken is grey and they know it!
I dont typically give a 1 star rating unless I have service or food issues (like raw chicken) where I would absolutely never return. This 2 star rating should speak for itself then. The service was extremely slow with a waitress that was non-existent throughout the meal. The hostesses (we were seated within 6 feet of the hostess stand) were lazy and stood there playing on their cell phones when they could. It was obvious they were talking about customers and making faces and rolling their eyes constantly. The drinks were VERY weak, which, I suppose should be expected at any tourist trap locations. HOWEVER, when it comes to food in a city or restaurant known for Tex-Mex or authentic Mexican food youd think the food would be fantastic and the food here was FAR from that. The basic guacamole, a STAPLE for any Mexican restaurant to be the absolute best in can be, was the most bland guac Ive ever eaten. No flavor whatsoever. When the food came, after about 40 minutes, it too was not seasoned well. The chicken for the fajitas was large chunked chicken like it had been chopped with a meat cleaver. So large it couldnt be placed on a tortilla. Would we return here? In a pinch, yes, but this will definitely not be a first-choice restaurant on future trips to San Antonio.
Service great. Food definitely a not chips salas not good. Food flavorless and expensive. Ive lived in texas my whole life and the food from Taco cabana is better. This is a must skip restaurant.
Don’t show up 20 minutes prior to closing! Wife and I showed up at 9:40pm and staff were very rude and told us they would not serve us that they were closed. They wouldn’t even take a to go order or anything!
Not very good. Were ignored by the waiters and waitresses.Water cups empty. Hangry.I dont like leaving negative reviews but I dont want anyone to have a bad time.
Had my wedding here a couple weeks ago and it went amazing! The food was great and the service was AMAZING. Seriously every guest had a great time and there was no complaints! If I had to do it all over, I would still choose Rio Rio Cantina. The salad had this DELICIOUS vinaigrette and the chicken, vegetables and rice were seasoned to perfection! Also, obsessed with their chicharrones!
We stopped here for lunch on a Thursday. Although they were busy they had a table for our party of 6 ready. The food came out fast and our server was checking on us regularly. The food was really good in my opinion l. I’m from Virginia where we don’t have good Mexican food!
We were hungry and most other places were packed considering it was rush hour. It should have definitely been a red flag how empty the restaurant was. Im not one to be very negative but this was just not a good experience at all. long review ahead to eplain:The chips and salsa were honestly the best part. It was really good and seemed freshly made, which got our hopes up about the place.Im not one to complain about staff, but it was disappointing how annoyed one of the waitresses was with us when we just wanted seating for six people but instead were given a small four person table when larger tables were available. Maybe they were reserved, but if they were I never saw people use them.Another waitress came to take our order and told us of a new combo deal they had which seemed great. . . but someone who i assume was the manager later came and told us they did not have this deal, we had messed up, and would have to reorder. After doing so we waited for such a long amount, only to be given lukewarm at best food.after finding hair in a plate, we told a waiter about it who said he would get someone and then never came back. we asked the annoyed waitress about it too, who returned with the manager. the manager was very angry with us told us all of their cooks were male and had short hair. after looking at our plate and finding short hair, she said she would replace the dish. at that point, we just asked it to not be charged and finished our meal.dont get me wrong, i loved the piña colada they had and my food was pretty good if somewhat cold. this place really has potential but i wish they werent so quick to get defensive. there was also a lady with a camera who took pictures of us and came around about four times to try and get us to buy the photos, although we told her each time we would see the photos later and to please let us finish our meals.please go eat somewhere else. there are lots of tejano and mexican restaurants on the riverwalk, but just dont try this one. the poor quality is not worth the amount of money spent.
We asked for a table of 10 people either together or to be seated separately, like 5 and 5. The hostess was very rude, told us she couldnt seat us anywhere, whether it was together or separate. She didnt want to give us a wait time to be seated. Instead, she kept saying she didnt have space for us and couldnt seat us. Which would be understandable if we wanted to seat together but we didnt care to be separated, we just wanted to eat. We asked to speak with the manager because she was seating other people but we were told the manager was upstairs and didnt have the time. Restaurant wasnt even completely full, there was like 10 empty tables
We put our name on their list and waiter told us about 45-50 mins waiting. They wouldn’t take your phone number to call you. So you have to wait in the bar. I wanted to walk around but my friends were tired so we decided to wait in the bar. Surprisingly they called us after just 15 mins. It seems like lots of people on the list gave up and we were seated so quickly. I ordered beef fajitas with shrimp. It comes with rice, beans and salsa. Chip and salsa were served first. Salsa is quite watery for me. Beef is little bit burn, shrimp is ok. Our waitress was friendly and fast.
Megan, our server, was hustling in the rain, with a smile, like a pro. This staff deserves a medal. The entrees are amazing and the Mexican Mule is a must try. One of several places that just made our trip down here.
I appreciated the food my family and I were given. They gave us the food about 8 minutes after we even ordered (we ordered for 4 people) which for a Tex-Mex restaurant is remarkable, as most tend to take longer, if anything too long sometimes. Keep in mind that the food also tasted quite fresh. Not just that, but even as a Mexican, I can say the food was absolutely delicious. The rice had a nice texture and flavor and the al pastor tacos genuinely tasted good, and even the rest of my family enjoyed their dishes. The salsa in the little cups that they gave us were really spicy, which I personally loved, but just putting it out there for the ones who don’t tolerate spice. I also want to mention the waitress Sabrina, who used such a nice voice towards us and was very generous and gave us some good service. Now, the restaurant mentioned they were understaffed, meaning if they gave us the food quickly, and gave us good service, it simply justifies that the workers are hard workers. That is why I appreciate what I was given. The location was beautiful as well. My family sat on the second floor balcony which was nice. Help them out and encourage the Rio Rio team, they deserve it. I noticed how some people rated this restaurant pretty low, but everyone has their own taste. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Tex-Mex (I honestly thought it had more Mex than Tex which was awesome), and help encourage the rio rio team, and make their day by telling them what you loved about their food. They will appreciate it.
Bad, really bad. Naked Iguana Margarita was horrible. No tequila. Salsa with chips was watered faience and tasteless. Stale chips to boot. Enchiladas verde a cheesy mess, no real flavor. Taste like yesterdays left overs. Very disappointed. On top of that bad service. Waiter took my order and I never saw him again. Couldnt even get a glass of water to wash down the bad food.
The experience was horrible. The food was even worse. I asked for sunny side up eggs and the waiter literally said “ I’m going to be straight with you the kitchen wouldn’t know how to do the eggs that way”. So in other words trust me and everyone else that left a review and skip this place entirely
Our food was a 3.75 . The chicken fajitas were good -- more of a matter of what cuts you like? Margarita was also good. Guacamole was very good maybe a little more onion, tomato and spice?Location ambiance cannot be duplicated - GREAT!Our service was a 4.5 + rendered by a Russian expatriate, Eugene, (very attentive w/o being intrusive; congenial if invited) ie Hes a pro who knows how to deliver very good service in every situation- just the right amount at the right time. He anticipates well. Ask for Eugene whether a regular or newbie. He will make your dining experience much better.Bottom line ... a decent value for the Riverwalk.
Had a wonderful romantic afternoon lunchita with my wife. The hosts were cute Latina girls and the food was great and affordable. My wife and I split the enchilada special along with salsa and homemade house salsa and enjoyed it all. So much food and bottomless sweet tea that we only finished half of one plate. $15.00 bill and with tip..$25.00 out the door for two sitting river side. Romance is back!
After a long day of exploring the Alamo and the Riverwalk we were ready to relax and have a nice dinner. We got waited on and our initial drinks - but that was it. We waited over an hour, never got our food or were offered drink refills.
Horrible food bad attitude. Don’t visit this place.
Terrible service. We have waited 45 minutes with out even water! They brought us queso and no chips no drinks, nothing.Yall suck. Thanks for a terrible and wasteful time.
Probably the worst Mexican restaurant i ever ate at. Most of our food was left untouched,,, for 150$ bucks,,, i wish i had chosen a better place, nothing was good, not the food, not the cleanliness, not the way they take care of the guests,, nothing,,, and the waiter was like its not me,, its the chef that did the mistake,,, all the time,, limited knowledge on the menu,, i eill never return
Waitress not very tentative, she was just hurry up and go. She took drink order, food order, and one more drink order which took forever and forgot about us. Hot sauce was terrible, tasted like shrimp.Everyone’s food was nothing to write home to momma about.I would not recommend this place or go back. Waste of money. Waitress dropped the check off, said good night and took off. We drove in from Houston with an appetite and left disappointed.
I wouldnt even give them the 1 star but because the waitress was so kind i put that 1 star for the service. I am a local and i went to eat with my husband thinking the food would be authetic and different from every mexican restaraunt in San Antonio the food was cold and tasted so bland. So dissapointed.
Very disappointed with the food served here. AFTER WAITING FOR ALMOST 1 hour for our food, it arrived cold. The descriptions used to describe the food is no where near what the food actually tastes like. The beans were burnt and the queso tastes like it came out a can. The rice was salty and the salsa had no spice to it. The fries were also soggy and not crispy at all. The waitresses were not attentive to us. They also charge themselfs tip. Save your money for another place near by if you are hungry.
The food was very over priced. The enchiladas were dry. The salmon was small and with a small side of veggies not worth $25. Customer service was horrible. The lady that sat us down had an attitude. Mentioned ita been a rough day. 😒 The guy that took our order didnt have any service skills at all. Said very little like he was nervous the whole time or didnt know what he was doing. Spilled one of the drinks on the menus we were looking at yet didnt say anything. The floor and tables were all dirty. The fajitas were decent. Other than that it was not a pleasant experience. Do not recommend.
Super fast and friendly service. Only complaint was the spice. Too much for some, but if thats the only complaint. Still was good. Wish 4.5 was an option.
Middle of the road Tex-mex. I won’t mince words, the food was underwhelming. Family ordered steak enchiladas, carnitas burrito, and chicken fajitas. A guacamole appetizer was likely the best part of the meal, it was delicious and really gave chipotle a worthy opponent. The service was the saving grace, quick and responsive and friendly. But you wouldn’t go to a restaurant for good service; it’s an expectation at any good restaurant.Be warned, it’s not overly pricy but it’s also not worth your time.
Great food. Friendly people. My daughter forgot her purse and the next day we went back for it and everything was still inside. I would give them 6 stars if I could.
Nelly is AMAZING and made me the best virgin pina colada I’ve ever had!!! Amazing service and beautiful view of the river walk.
Horrible! Very rude and disrespectful over a very simple request. Our party of 11 all got up and walked out after hostess comment. One of those awful experiences you will talk about the rest of your life. Unbelievable!
Nastiest Mexican food I ever had. Chicken is canned chicken do not eat here this is not authentic and it’s extremely expensive
If you are looking for some really good Mexican food. Stop by Rio Rio cantina. The service was outstanding and the managers were also very friendly. We had such a great time here! The guacamole is amazing. I had the chili relleno plate and it was so delicious . Also, make sure to try their Spiked strawberry lemonade drink. You are guaranteed to have a great time here!!!!They also have drinks Togo! 😍
Guac and salsa are great. The staff and management worked side by side. Made the best experience of riverwalk
Very attentive and nice staff. Food was great!
Native Texan here, and everything we ordered was delicious. Our favorites were the queso and the churros, definitely don’t miss out on those. Only complaint is that our waiter wasn’t very friendly and didn’t come around super often, though he could’ve just been really busy.
Great service by the management Bebe and waiter, Alexio. The food was delicious and very hot when served. The mixed drinks were spot on. The ambiance was perfect sitting on the patio overlooking the river walk. We really enjoyed listening to mariachis as we enjoyed dinner. I would recommend to enjoy and a great evening out!
This place is really miserable with his attention, just ask for his menu and the waiter said you only have an iphone you can look at it and then I said no then he brought a paper without a good impression I asked him for recommendations or options that were the best according to his billboard and just answered heavy. We asked about something that was on the menu to know how it tasted and we asked to try since we were never here before but his face was hey thats more expensive look I never asked the price just enjoy with my family and have a nice time in the midst of this pandemic that has confined us and separated many of the things we likeWe asked for ice for our drinks, which I never came after, I took my emergency baby to the bathroom and the protection mask fell to the floor, I came to my wife and said with a contemptuous face that if that was ours, we answered yes, but she didnt pick it up. better to step on it with his foot could have grabbed a broom and dustpan to do it and thus be more courteous. All of us who have children know that they have to take care of them regardless of what is around us. I will never return to this place
Easily the worst Mexican food Ive ever eaten. Drove like 6 hours and this was one of the food decisions we made. Wrong one. Cheese dip was horrible tasted like melted sliced cheese in a bowl and was hard after 30 seconds. Salsa was trash nothing but tomato no seasoning at all. Drinks had like 3 ice cubes and took almost 30 minutes just to get them. Waiter never refilled our drinks or even came back to the table. except with the ticket. Other people brought appetizer and entrées. Im 325 lbs and I ate one fajita which was also awful. 60 dollars for my wife and I and another 60 for our two friends and nobody ate any of it. We ended up eating snacks back at the hotel. Whole table full of wasted food
Right on the river walk! We had a great table over looking the river. The drinks were great, queso and beef fajitas good. Most of all, our waitress was Veronica, and she was amazing!! Thanks for a great experience, Veronica!!
No doubt, an amazing restaurant. Do not hesitate in coming! Worth every bite the queso and barbacoa is so flavorful and delicious!!
Ate here twice this week and had a great time! Food was great and bartender Nelly and manager Pamela took care of us. Thanks!!!
Would not recommend at all. Food is overpriced especially considering portion size. And tastes terrible too. Queso tasted like it was poured from a can. Service was great but would not recommend at all.
Good margaritas....$18 good...nope. The food was good too! Three of us split the Botana and we had 2 togo boxes left best bang for your buck if your out with friends or family! And trust me youll be happy for a little bargan when you get the bill and see the your 2 margs were $18 EACH!!!
Typical River Walk Tex Mex tourist trap, Long wait for bland, pre made.
Fish was under cooked Waitress came to our table 3 times.
The food was really good and the staff are super friendly.
Servers dont offer same treatment towards guest. They checked twice on the table next to us before even greeting us and we had been sitting for over 10 minutes. This was early so there wasnt a lot of people sitting down. Just go to the La Villita Cafe if you want breakfast.
It ended with the rude hostess. There are plenty of other awesome options in San Antonio.
Delicious food, would go again!!
A very busy place on a Friday afternoon. The service was great. Our server was Alex, a very nice guy.I recommend the chicken quesadilla. It has bacon in it, what else needs to be said? The fajitas were good too! The original salsa was ok, and the street salsa was average as well. The on the rocks margarita was not good at all, but as a beer man I gambled on it when I shouldn’t have.
Order an appetizer it comes after the fajitas show up ask for tea make sure you add the fact you want ice in it and the very best part is you have to use the paper on your tortillas as a plate because they don’t bring you one it’s not even busy it’s a Tuesday evening don’t waste your time with this place
