After spending 600$ on repairs my brakes actually felt worse.. I explained to the mechanic they my pedals felt soft etc... He checked my brakes and so on after his recommendations we were at 600$ total... He finished up and took my car for a test drive and came back and said it needed more repairs .. My pedal still feels soft and actually worse than before ... I will not be trusting this place again ... Very disappointed and feel cheated

Wow, service I was not expecting. The gentleman on the phone was courteous and patient. He encouraged me to schedule an appointment so that I didnt have to wait when I arrived. When I showed up, he walked outside to greet me and just verified what it was that he was supposed to be doing (alignment). He told me the price and gave me a timeframe. I got a text within that time frame to tell me that my car was ready. When I went to pay, he made a couple of polite suggestions but was not an overly aggressive salesman.I honestly have no opinion on Brake Check as a company, but this guy (I think his name was Aaron)...Im coming back to this guy in the future. If you are like me and dont like the hassle of dealing with aggressive sales reps who speak car jargon, then I definitely recommend this location. EXCELLENT SERVICE! TIMELY! GREAT COMMUNICATION! I have had a number of negative experiences with auto repair shops recently. But my experience with Brake check was a breath of fresh air. If it were possible I would give them higher than five stars. They were reliable, punctual, and communicated with me on my service. They won my business and I wont go anywhere else from now on. Got the same oil change I got last time which I was $45-$50, I was told it was full synthetic and would last 5,000 miles, I was also told my next oil change would be half off! Well this time coming around I get my oil change and was asked if I wanted the full synthetic again? I said yes because it was only like 45-50 bucks, when cashing out my total came out to 36 still, we’ll if my math is correct half of 45 is like 22.50 or a little more, this place is a scam because I asked why the price looked like full price still he was like because the total is $80, I was what!? I’ve never paid 80 here! He began to get nervous and said well oil prices go up! And he said he gets paid either way so he’s not worried about the prices! This place is a scam and they also try getting you to get other services which aren’t necessary just to make sales. Beware of this place these people are scammers!

The team here is beyond amazing. Gerard and Aaron were absolutely phenomenal! I called that morning because my brakes weren’t working properly, and they were so accommodating and fit me in that morning. They went through every aspect of my brakes and showed me the parts and talked me through what was wrong. The hub joints were in question after buying FOUR sets of new tires which were incorrectly balanced by Discount Tires. I obviously know not a thing about car maintenance and hate being felt taken advantage of or not provided through service. I was assisted by Aaron and a female attendant who I explained I was nervous because I had had a bad experience previously at a competor. Aaron was very through, professional and helpful. He even pointed out that I had missing screws in a panel under my car ( I forget the name 😬) and offered to put some in if he could find some in the shop and when he couldnt he offered to on the next visit. I really appreciate how kind he was and will be going back for my next service.

I got there at 12 noon. I had an appointment. One other customer that did not have an appointment arrived after me. They started working on my car. Was told my car would be ready in 1 1/2 hours. Left to go eat at nearby restaurant & came back in 1 hr. They had finished the customer’s car that arrived after me. Three new customers had arrived & were waiting. They didn’t have appointments, I asked. They finished the work on 2 of those customers cars before they started working on my car again. They finished my car at 2pm. One of the technicians should have been working on my car until they finished. It probably would have been ready in one hour but at least by 1:30pm. It was a simple brake job and they did not provide professional service.

No customer service. Took a full week working on it. Returned my car without a test drive. Had to bring to a real mechanic and repair damage they incurred. Not happy. They deserve a -star.

Amanda very attentive to service as should be when in charge. What was striking to me was the honesty. Went for an alignment and tech called me over to explain how my truck didn’t need an alignment. He spent his time going over my suspension and explained his findings to me at no charge. I really really respect that. Tech then directed me to get a high speed road force tire balance. I was skeptical cause I had done two regular tire balance that didn’t fix the vibration felt. Well I went to discount tire paid 84.00 dollars but problem solved. Thanks Brake Check for not ripping me off and making some story up like many businesses do. I recommend this location as now I know why they have almost five stars.

Had an appointment on Sunday to get an alignment checked and adjusted. Patrick was the technician that completed it. Brought it in for slight pull to the left, he racked and showed me that it was more than the front. Spent about 30 minutes to get it adjusted. The steering and alignment is on point now. I am happy to report that this location has a new manager who is more professional than the previous manager. Amanda was very clear and kept me informed on what was going to be done with my vehicle and she kept me up to date with any new info. She was also honest in telling me one vehicle needed a little work on the wheel alignment and the other vehicle did not need a thing done. She was personable and knowledgeable of vehicles needs. Bottom line...good customer service that is sometimes lost in the vehicle repair business.

I have a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD with Quadrasteer. The quadrasteer system requires a more involved process to align all 4 wheels than a typical alignment. Everything turned out great and they handled it without a single problem. They were very professional and thorough explaining everything to me verbally and provided documentation explaining in detail what they did as well. I would highly recommend any service at Brake Check!

Brake Checks employee, Amanda, has treated me fairly and eased my mind when I didn’t know anything about brakes. Not only did they gave me the option on what to fix now and what to do later but they taught me how the whole system works. They took the time needed to explain in detail why things were getting done. Heck, their oil changes are affordable too! I was paying $90-$100 at Take 5 and they never have the filter I need but with Brake Check they can do it for almost half the price AND every other oil change is 50% off * m i n d b l o w n *And yes, they also sanitize your car after fixing it.

Aaron knew damn well the problem I was having in braking was the front rotors. Im not mechanically inclined and he took advantage of that and told me the rear brakes were the culprit. I left out of there being able to stop better with back braking power, but the issue I came in with still remains. I must now spend 150.00 more dollars to correct the problem due to a dishonest shop Manager.

I give BC a 5 star for greeting me at the parking lot. I was impressed, I then ask for a oil change and I wanted my wheel alignment to get check. Amanda suggested if I wanted a fuel injector to be done on my car it would help my gas line and mileage and other things to do with my car to drive better. I said sure it was only costing me 20.00 and I was already saving money on the new price’s they had for the new year. Then the process startedAfter the oil change Amanda came to explained that the wheel alignment machine wasn’t working so I had to wait on that for another day or so.Then to add to the final deal I couldn’t get my fuel injector done cause they didn’t have the correct funnel so Amanda suggest that usually there is one underneath the spare tire in the trunk. They check but said they didn’t find oneThe only thing they did wrong there was: THEY MADE A HUGE MESS JUST AS IF THEY JUST THREW EVERYTHING IN MY TRUNK. I HAD A BAG OF PRESENTS I STILL HAVENT GAVE to my friends at work I had so many things in my trunk I had it organized but to my surprise it was totally just thrown in there. Now I’m thinking about my oil change cause when I left I noticed that I didn’t have a sticker on my windshield of when do I go back for another oil changeSo I called and when the guy answered I told him about it he said if u want come back and I’ll put u a sticker or you could just add 5000 miles to it. So I said okay 🙄🙄🙄So I’m disappointed ☹️ I can’t believe what I experienced. After this survey I feel not comfortable of going back. I went to Midas for oil change and they told me my brake pads were 98% worn and starting to damage rotors. Guys at Brake Check inspected and said brakes were FINE. I did need fluid change, but glad I wasnt sold on something I didnt need.

Here they only steal your money and they dont fix your car well

When thw work was quoted out I was never offered any type of of payment options. It was impossible not to see the lower control arms were bad. This was a safety issue that should have been brought to my attention immediately. And I could have taken care of the problem the same day. When I took the vehicle back the next day I was given an excuse that it was my rear tires bad which was causing the thumping sound. Never did they test drive the car to see what the sound may have been I had to wait another 1/2 day to get the wheel bearing fixed at a competitor.

I needed my emergency brake checked to pass my auto yearly state inspection. Joseph went above and beyond by providing excellent customer service. While at the shop, my car battery died. He jumped my car and arranged to have my emergency brake checked and fixed. I was happy they could get me a new battery and installed it too. The location had great prices for the adjustment of the my auto emergency brake. They charged me $25.00 while others tried to charge me $75.00. In and out in 2 hours which allowed me to go back and pass my state inspection. I absolutely recommend this location. Awesome customer service. They rock!

I went to have my Brakes serviced at the Brake Check on I-10 near Desavala Road. They replaced my front rotors and a caliper and rebuilt the other front caliper. I payed over $600 for all of it. The next morning driving to work my steering wheel was shaking badly when I would apply the brakes. 7 days later I took my vehicle to another Brake Check on Blanco and 410. Aaron the manager helped me. I explained all the problems and left for work. Later that day I picked up my truck. I noticed the techs tightening my wheels with a torque wrench when I walked up to the garage. When I went into the office, Aaron explained everything that was wrong with my new brakes. Turns out the Brake Check on I10 and Desavala didn’t install my brakes correctly, causing heat damage to the new rotors. After I left I noticed my brakes worked perfectly. I want to say to all who read this, to steer clear of the Brake Check on I-10 and Desavala. Instead go to the one on Blanco and 410, and talk to Aaron the manager.

Well... I made an appointment for 10 AM today and told the fella I was going in for a state inspection. I arrived and told him why I was there and they took almost 30 minutes just to get me into a bay. Before I knew it I’ve been there for one and a half hours. That’s not the worst part about it: when they handed me the keys and told me I was good to go I asked him how much I owed him for the state inspection and what we needed to do to get me into the state computer system to get my sticker… That’s what he told me they don’t do those inspections there! Unbelievable.

Quoted 3 hours to get an entire brake job done which seemed fair... but had it all wrapped up in an hour. Amazing!

I went in for an alignment and oil change. The three individuals who attended to me were very helpful and professional. They answered all of my questions about my car and about potential services I might need. There was absolutely no haggling or trying to talk me into things I didn’t need or want. It was a great experience.

Honesty is the best policy and Brake Check abides by that. They are not the type of shop that tries to railroad you and make you replace parts on your car that dont even need to be replaced. The inspections dont take long at all and I love that they text you the progress. The employees are very friendly as well. Thank you all for such great service.
