Our family recently moved my daughter to San Antonio to go to college. My daughter has a tendency of spending a lot of money snd time in service drives so it was important to find a strong relationship to make sure that she is taken care of while she’s two states away. I have to say that Lee and Rick did an amazing job with communication and making sure my daughter was safe. Kudos to the team. We will keep our business at this dealership throughout her college career. Where can I start. We worked with Michelle, she’s very informative, prompt, and professional. She called us while we were on the way to the dealership to check on us. We had a little set back, however they were flexible with us and made sure we were able to keep the suv we wanted. I can express enough how easy our transaction was, everything was done and complete within two hours!! We will definitely be returning customers! Did I mention, my uncle is disabled? They treated him just like he was family, and that I cannot put a price on.

Luis Diosdado was quick, respectful, and professional! Literally made the entire process a breeze! I wouldn’t want to deal with anyone else but him, I came in one day and he was tied up so another salesman “helped” me, all he helped me do was leave! If it wasn’t for Luis, I probably would never have gotten my truck, thank goodness he called me back into the dealer to actually try and work the deal from every angle while his colleagues were not. If you decide to go here, do yourself a favor and seek Luis out! 5/5 or 10/10, he’s the man!

When my car was ready, I received a text. It’s truly nice to not only have someone listen to you but also follow up without having to call the dealership for status updates. Chad told us that if we had any issues to contact him. We already have an issue with our vehicle. We contacted Chad and his response was there is nothing I can do for you. Instead of researching the vehicle to see if there were any service bulletins or to ask us to come into the service department he just brushed us off. Its evident we are not important to him after a sale is finalized.

I was impressed. The help and friendliness of the Freedom Chevrolet service staff was excellent. I’ve had many previous experiences w/ the service department at Ancira Chevrolet. By comparison, Freedom Chevrolet is far superior. I had my A/C repaired. Freedom Chevy fixed a few leaks and recharged the system. I am pleased with their work. I recommend Freedom Chevrolet.

I originally posted this review with two stars because of a couple of frustrating attempts to get Freedom to resolve an issue that they cant duplicate. And although I am still experiencing the same issue, I also cant reproduce it on-demand now. So, I changed the review because its unfair to expect Freedom to diagnose a problem they cant replicate. Also, my Service Advisor brought up a great point that made me change this to 5 stars. I would rather that Freedom not guess at whats wrong, causing me to spend a ton of money and be even more frustrated because it didnt work. So why am I giving them a 5, knowing that I will eventually need to come back for this issue. Because I do GREATLY APPRECIATE not spending my money chasing false hopes. Better to be frustrated than enraged. Looking out for me this way makes me feel like the Service Advisor and Freedom have my best interest in mind, and what more could I ask for?

Good service, car fixed same day, no shuttle service available but they provided me a Lyft to get to work. Lee even offered me a ride back to the dealership when car was ready. This was greatly appreciated. Have had service at other local large dealership and you were on your own for a return trip. Will definitely give them another chance with future service.

We bought a used truck here. I never purchase extended warranties/contracts..... ever. I did this time due to the details of this purchase. We needed the warranty a few months after the sale. We came to Justin with a list of issues. The service was excellent, and communication perfect! Worked with Justin in servicing. He took excellent care of me and made sure I knew everything I needed to going forward with repairs. He stayed late to let me pick up my car after work which helped out a lot. He was very quick with getting back to me on all my questions as well, even helped me with financing options for my repairs. Overall had a great experience here, I know it may be a little pricier than you local mechanic at times, but I know it was done right and has a warranty.

Early appointment 730am, arrived slightly busy, walked in immediately welcomed. Confirmed my appointment VIN, issue with my truck made me aware 17 tickets ahead of me. No surprise last dealer said 3 days to complete diagnostics. Before 10am received text, confirmed fix, ready by lunch, paid online and pick up truck after work.Marvelous!

It is unfortunate that dealerships like this one exist. TWO weeks ago I lost my key fob so we shopped around for the location that had it and could program it and cut the key that same day and per the Service Advisor, they could so I went to them. After 4 days and allot of price haggling due to ever changing quotes,not to mention supposed GM requirements that I HAD to buy 2 sets, I finally got the fobs but no keys. 2 WEEKS later and STILL NO KEYS plus today he texts me to ask if I still want them that itll be an additional cost despite me having my PAID IN FULL ITEMIZED RECEIPT. I will gladly share our text communications and copy of my receipt for proof. After dealing with their poor customer service for key fob replacement, I hate to think of the cheating and lying they do to customers who actually get their vehicles serviced there.

Took over 7 hours to do a oil change and tire rotation, and then told me the discount coupon I received in the mail was not valid because the prices were raised. False advertisement. After taking my car in about 4 times, Freedom still has NOT addressed my front end squeak, and slow acceleration. No respect for the customer time. The rep even asked if I would rent a car, knowing I rented a car, and paid out of pocket .

This dealership is an absolute joke. If you intend to bring your own financing they stop responding and dodge your calls. I contacted them with intent to purchase a vehicle with my own financing from my bank ready to go and approved, as soon as my sales lady found out she quit responding to texts, emails and wouldnt return calls. I contacted the general manager Adam Scott directly and he wouldnt return calls after I explained what I was doing. I ended up calling the dealership directly looking for a new sales person and they hung up on me after finding out my name and got my paperwork. They will NOT sell to you if you dont use their financing.

Made appointment for oil change for noon, was told the service would take an 1 1/2 hours, after hanging out in customer lounge for almost 2 hours, my car had never moved from original parking spot. I message the service tech Brandi, who NEVER responded finding out later she left for the day. I do NOT recommend coming here unless you expect horrible customer service, bad communication and want to wait all day!

The car salesman was not a man of his word. He sold me a car that had multiple issues when I pointed some of them out. The windshield was an issue and he told me he took care of it but that was a lie. Ive had it replaced myself and Ive had the car not even 3 months. The tires were an issue when I test drove the car with him in the car and I told him to get them replaced because it didnt feel safe because I have a 4 year old daughter that I will be traveling with sometimes. That didnt happen. I think he had them balanced again. Come to fine out the car needed an alignment and 2 new tires. I will be getting that handled next month. The lower wind deflector was loose and I bought panel buttons to fix that myself. So no I wont recommend anyone to come buy anything from your dealership.

Great communication, reasonable prices. I would have given 5 stars however, there are two things I experienced when picking up the car that rubbed me the wrong way:1. My representative Justin told me to remind him of my Military discount when I go pick up my truck. Needless to say, another gentleman that helped me upon arrival seemed bothered when I mentioned it. He stated” You are supposed to mention it before you got here”. That made absolutely no sense, instead it seemed it was to much work to recalculate and then print out new invoice. He also took the time to sarcastically say, “That only saves you 58 dollars”. Wow! Great customer service?2. I got into my truck and upon closing my door…what do I see on my door handle and steering wheel? Black grease! I had it on my hand and immediately went to show my representative. He said I’ll have them wipe it down real quick. Which is what he did took him one minute, came back and said well we mostly wiped down dust. No apologies for the lack of attention to detail, not even a thank you for bringing you car to us. Therefore, there is no way I can give a high rating when the most important part of this transaction…customer service…was non existent to say the least. Obviously I am upset, but please put yourself in my shoes. If they don’t take the time to ensure they clean up after themselves and ensure they return my vehicle as they received it, what should I expect in the caliber of maintenance that was done to my vehicle? He was very patient and knowledgeable, and when he wasnt sure about something, he looked up the answer for us or asked another colleague to be sure we were getting the right information.He was also really easy to talk to, and my husband and I were really comfortable with him. He also didnt pressure us too much to make a purchase the same day.We ended up getting the car we test drove the same day, because we loved it so much and they gave us a really great deal on our trade in.

Unfortunately no service rep called to inform me that my vehicle was ready.I had to finally drive to the dealership at 4:00 pm after numerous unanswered phone messages that I left regarding the status of my vehicle were not returned.Once I got there I was informed my vehicle had been ready since 2:15pm.One would assume a courtesy call to the customer should have taken place.Lack of communication on the part of the service department to reach out to the customer was a big disconnect.

I first called Saturday morning when they opened up at nine. I was transferred to the service department and was able to make an appointment for 10 o’clock that morning with little to no problem at all. When I got there at 10 AM angel asked me if he could help and I proceeded to explain to him what my problem was. He was very polite and very informative of what the procedure would be. I told him I needed an oil change also which he then told me the cost With a tire rotation. 2 1/2 hours later angel contacted me to let me know my problem was taken care of and it was under warranty so all it cost was for the oil change and tire rotation.

Presentation of bad customer service and work ethic. Called on a Friday afternoon to ask to see if a vehicle was available. Notified it was available and scheduled to see it Saturday morning. Notified salesman Saturday morning within sufficient time that I was running late and he notified me “ Ok not a problem but time is of the essence. There are a lot of people interested”. I let him know clearly in a text if vehicle is under contract or pending a sale to just let us know. Arrived to dealership and was greeted by another salesman that walked us to the vehicle. We looked at the vehicle turned on the vehicle and even sat on the seats. We asked if we could test drive vehicle and he asked for the our ID. Salesman went inside dealership. We waited until the original salesman greeted us and told us the vehicle was already purchased. The current owners were walking to the vehicle as we were walking away. Once again salesman proceeded to state that time is of essence. Many issues are seen in this statement. My husband and I never had an issue if the vehicle was in the process of being purchased we just should have been notified appropriately that it was currently in process instead of us seating and looking at vehicle. If I was the customer on the other side dealing with closing the deal I would be upset that they are trying to get a backup customer just in case if it fell thru. From my understanding if there is a deal in the works no one else should be looking and assessing the vehicle. The salesman even asked if we wanted to order or put a hold on a vehicle. I said no. I would never want to deal with someone that is not honest or has integrity. There are to many dealerships in and around San Antonio to deal with someone or dealership that lacks customer satisfaction or integrity.

First day of dropping the rig off to be worked on was great. Smooth check-in and good communication throughout the day from the service associate, Erica, as to the progress of the diagnostics on the suburban. The second day was met with 0 communication. When I tried to call the dealership (4) separate times to check on the status of the repairs, I could never get through the automated system after selecting that my vehicle was already at the dealership. I was stuck on hold for over 20min each time without ever connecting with a member of the service center. Apparently, there was a shortage of staff that day for some reason. Once I was finally able to get through to someone on the 5th try, I was noticed that the rig was ready to be picked up. The pickup and payment process was as smooth as the first day. All in all, a positive experience.

Bought a vehicle here. My Sales guy was kind. But they took forever. I was here for seven hours and I had all of my information and the dealership was not busy. Now I go to get my oil change and even make an appointment and was told a time and when I ask about it they tell me another 30-45 mins. My half a day off from work has now turned into a full day. Extremely aggravating. Don’t get your oil changed or buying a car unless you plan on being here all day literally.

Worst car buying experience ever. If I could negative star I would. Did not purchase. After speaking with a sales rep ( Jarren?) on the phone and confirming they had the vehicle that I was looking for. We made the two hour drive to Freedom Chevrolet. Once there, Jarren handed us off to another sales person. From the start the second rep was very short and standoffish. Not respectful at all. The whole attitude that he portrayed came off as it was a chore to be there. It was not relayed to me beforehand, but they DO NOT accept outside financing (should have checked YELP). Which when asked if we were to pay cash, what would they do, they replied that they would accept it. When asked what the difference was he couldnt give an answer. We decided to see if they could match our rate with our credit union( they couldnt). When they came back with the pricing break down the vehicle that was listed online for 49k was up to 57K. Now that did include TT&L, but TT&L is not 8k. They were trying to add all sorts of things not listed on the window sticker. $1000 for tint and wheel locks, etc etc. Shady stuff for sure. After talking to Don Hewlett Chevrolet in north Austin via text that confirmed they had what we wanted, that they would accept outside financing and hold the vehicle I wanted until the next day we left and took our business to a dealership that not only wanted our business but was willing to not only work with us, but go above and beyond. I got the same trim truck for less money, no hidden pricing, and with no hassle at all.My advise- there are dealers that want your business and will work to earn it and there are dealers like Freedom that work to increase their profits through shady practices.

Had set an appointment for just an oil change at 9:15 in the morning and thought thought they would take my car right away but instead they said it would be like 3 hours to get it done. I ask if they can give my a Lyft ride home for the wait but said they dont do that for oil changes. I had a dead battery...that I thought was under warranty. Called my usual dealership...couldnt get me in till Monday. Called Freedom....I had been there once five years ago shortly after moved to town...they still had me on file....got me in this afternoon...did a diagnostic...verified it was a dead battery....only....and replaced it .. unfortunately the battery was not in warranty....but that was not their fault. I took my car in for a tire replacement. My car had scratched and removed paint. I didnt noticed before leaving since it was late. It was time for my daughter to get her first car. Found a Chevrolet Sonic at Freedom Chevrolet. Nate and Marcus made the buying experience really great. Got a great car at a great price. Mark in finance took care of us on the money end.Ive helped many family and friends with their car purchases through the years. I can honestly say these guys really know how to do it right. Respect, integrity, and they actually listen to your needs. Best experience Ive encountered.Im glad my daughters bought her vehicle here. Alejandro was outstanding. He was what I would consider the perfect sales person. He had his information about the vehicles, was willing to answer questions and yet was not pushy or insistent with the sale. Go see him if you are in the market for a new Chevrolet.Addendum:So I elected to add dealer installed running boards to my purchase and had to make a separate appointment to get the front windows tinted as indicated on the window sticker on a different day. For the installation of the running boards I spent about 3 hours awaiting the service to be completed. The second appointment was for the window tinting. I arrived at 11 am as scheduled for the appointment. 3 hours later I was still awaiting the tinting to be completedI was lead to believe that both visits would take no more than 90 minutes each. Needless to say after more than 6 hours waiting, the lesson I have learned is that the service portion of Freedom Chevrolet is terribly inefficient and not at all respectful of my time.So in total sales 5 stars. Service 1 star.

Don’t plan on getting your car serviced with any kind of urgency. Making an appointment is useless as they get to your car when they feel like it. Very poor timeliness in the Service Department.

Review of the service center:Short version: I had an impossible time trying to contact the service center with questions about my service or if the car was ready. They went a day over their estimated timeline (took 5 days), I felt I was overquoted service without any explanation, and I felt I was treated poorly when I arrived to pick up the car. By far the worst experience Ive ever had with getting a repair done on a car. I feel most could have been fixed with better communication.Long version: I brought my car last week to have some work done. I dropped it off on Thursday and was told it wouldnt be ready until Monday likely in the AM, which I was fine with. Monday came around and I finally got a text in the late afternoon with a quote (which was much much higher than expected but its a dealership so I knew that might be the case). I signed off on the quote for the work I knew needed to be done and planned on going in that evening to pick up the car since I hadnt heard anything different about the estimated time for pickup.This is when the troubles began. I tried calling in a few hours before closing to confirm the car was ready. I was on hold for about 10 minutes until I was directed to another operator who transferred me to a voicemail inbox. I left a message and hung up. No word for several hours. I I tried calling again, and the exact same thing happened- hold for 10 minutes, transferred to another line, voicemail. Since I couldnt get things confirmed, I didnt go in to pick up the car since I assumed I would have gotten a call. The next day was a lot more of the same- no word from the dealership (mind you, theyve had my car for 5 days now and are past the estimated date it would be done). I tried calling the next morning and got through to someone who told me the car wasnt done yet and to try again later. I did so and once more got sent to voicemail. I couldnt ask questions about the work being done, the timeline, nothing. Finally, I called in two hours before close and told the main operator my problem and asked her for help. She handwrote my info and delivered it to the person over my case. I got a text a few minutes later saying, Your car is ready. We close at 6. Since I had such short notice, I had to scramble to find a bus to get there before closing.When I arrived to pick up the car, I walked over to service. There were two employees there- one on their phone talking to another customer and the other was huddled over a cell phone with another employee. I stood there in front of them for literally 5 minutes without any acknowledgment. Finally, one of the guys looking at their cell phone looked up and said, Can I help you with something? I told them I was there to pick up a car and he finally rung me out.Overall, I estimate I was on hold for almost an hour trying to find out what was going on with my car with almost no contact back. I had no way of knowing when it would be done, which is very frustrating when you dont have a reliable way of getting to the dealership. I feel like 5 days for a repair is a little ridiculous, especially without any communication when it went over the estimated pickup time. I feel I definitely wasnt being treated like someone who was dropping over $1000 on a repair. I likely wont be coming back and wont be recommending anyone else to go.

The sales person and Rob in Finance were great. However the finance manager who initially was helping us before he rudely and abruptly left, his actions and lack of actions were sub par. That sub par actions affect everyone. Kudos to the salesperson and Ron in Finance. Everyone can learn from them.

Justin was super easy to work with, I had a third party paying for my repairs and after he made sure that everything was good to go, he made the rest of the process worry free. Unfortunately the parts department couldn’t match tire pricing from another business, but they researched other tires to try and compete, which I appreciate. I had to come back to get my alignment done after getting new tires put on, but they explained that it’s better to get the alignment corrected to the new tires instead of the old ones. Overall, it was a great experience working with Justin.

I had an appointment and it felt like I was a walk in. The oil change took 4 hours! 4 hours! No apology when the keys were returned. I went to the dealership because I had a $20 off coupon. I will not go back even if it’s free. So sad and disappointing.

Be expected to wait an average of 3 hours for an oil change. When you call for service, you actually are talking to someone from a call center and they schedule your appointment. They will offer you a shuttle but there are restricted to 20 miles. The best thing is to come early as they open for first come, first service, is what I am told at the dealership. There is a lot of complaints from customers in regards to Chevrolet dealerships services for an oil change. This type type of service needs to be improved.

Service team is quick and efficient! It’s always hard to find good people (especially as a woman) who are there to help and not try and up sale extra unnecessary services. They took care of what I needed there and now and said come back if I want to take care of anything else.
