This company was assigned to us from our home warranty to service our refrigerator. I received a text message with a service date for Sept. 25 but when clicking the link for details it says this appointment must be rescheduled. I received a phone call about an hour later with a recording saying I need to call them to reschedule. Why are you calling me to tell me to call you back??? When I called back they said Sept 35 was no longer available and the soonest they can schedule is a month later. I don’t understand why they scheduled us a date that wasn’t available. Makes no sense. And we can’t wait a month for a refrigerator so we won’t be using them. Giving two stars because I can’t speak to their actual service.
Just save yourself time and money and replace the appliance. My LG refrigerator went out and LG contacted this company to diagnose/repair.First technician that came out was super nice and once I had showed him my own diagnostic info/videos he agreed it was the compressor and some sealed system parts. He didnt have the parts at that time and set an appointment for 3 weeks later. I got a generic amount of Oh it will be $900 to fix but no official quote. Nothing on paper so to speak. So I called back the day before my appointment to get a more finite quote, as I could buy a used fridge for half that amount.The overseas call center, which is the only thing A&E use, answered my call and when I asked how much it would be, she said youll have to ask the tech. I asked why I have to ask the tech and incur another service fee if I could get the answer now. She said if I dont want to pay the repair amount, just refuse the service when he arrives! What a terrible answer.The icing on the cake though was when I needed to change the address. I explained that I had moved in the time the fridge broke and the time of the appointment. She almost screamed at me WHY DO YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE ADDRESS, so I yelled back I JUST TOLD YOU WHY and she hung up on me.Wow - forget LG and forget A&E. Going to Maytag where they actually have good customer service and they dont break.
ZERO STARS!!! This company is a joke! How they are contracted through Lowes for repairs is beyond me! The first time they fixed my dishwasher it took 4 months. It worked for a month and its broken again. The first tech no showed. I waited 3 weeks for the second tech went to the wrong address, left and refused to come back. Now Im waiting another 2 weeks for another tech to come evaluate the problem. There is no way to speak with any kind of manager all you can do is file a co.plaint but based off the number of 1 star reviews that doesnt seem to mean much
They were called out over a leaking freezer. They resolved the issue but in the meantime completely BROKE my Refrigerator and Freezer. Today was their 3rd trip out and they guaranteed it was fixed but just needed to cool. Well its now blowing hot air from the freezer and refrigerator. Calling them is a joke because we went through our home warranty, which is also a joke. If you want headaches and MULTIPLE calls to your home, this will be number 4 for us, Id say go for it. If you want it fixed right the first time, I would steer clear. Oh and we lost a few hundred dollars worth of food because of their error and then we HAVE the parts needed to actually make the repair, they said they did not need them. The last Technician ordered the correct pasts but they insisted they didnt need them today. Luckily, my Husband insisted on keeping the parts instead of letting them discard them! Lets see if they ever get it fixed!!!!
My Samsung top fridge bottom freezer. Fridge stopped cooling. What I assume was the compressor would sporadically work, until it finally stopped for good. Freezer worked fine, but it started to warm up slowly because the fridge wasn’t cold.A and E came out, said It was a faulty part, replaced it and left.Two months later same issue. Same on and off compressor, ultimately shutting down. No issues with the freezer other than the warmth from the fridge.This time different technician. I watched this guy open the fridge and freezer, take pictures, look at his phone, activate the alarm. More time staring at the thing than anything else. Heard him use his drill maybe once, to look in the fridge rear panel. This went on about 45 minutes. Finally he says it’s the motor. When I ask how he knows it’s the motor, his response:“Fridge doesn’t work.”Tried for some additional info, he kept coming back to that statement.That’s it. So now it’s another two weeks for a new motor, which will maybe solve the problem.
First time, 3/29, did not have parts. Supposed to return 4/12. Claimed we werent home, took pix of house as proof they arrived. Rescheduled 4/14. Same thing. 4/16. Same thing. 4/21. Yet AGAIN. Except this time, we have proof they LIED about being here. Pix of back entrance, door closed, cooler set outside missing. Right after getting the we missed you email, went out and took pix of back entrance. Door open (as it had been all morning), cooler in place (as it had been since last night). I have NEVER experienced service like this, and believe me, Ive had some doozies. Filed complaint with BBB today. Hope something comes of this. Ive been without a refrigerator for going on a month, now.
ZERO STARS!!!!!Worst experience ever with these guys! They are third party for our home warranty insurance. Our dryer wasn’t working so we paid 75$ Service fee and what a luck—we got a and e services to help with it. We get our first technician on 8/1/21. He did his first eval and decided that the heating element was not working. He ordered the part and stated that the next available appointment is 8/16. So we took that. On 8/16, a technician arrived and did what he was suppose to do. He asked my wife 50$ extra service fee for vacuuming the dryer. We paid as we didn’t want to have more issues with the dryer. 40 min after its first drying cycle, the dryer stopped working!! I go back to my insurance and I get an appointment for 8/30. I take half a day off from work. I get a call at 1230 pm that they do not have any technician available and that I ll have to reschedule. I reschedule it later for Thursday afternoon 1pm -5 pm and take another half day off work. Nobody shows up till 5 pm!! No calls no texts no updates whatsoever!! I call the call center at 5.30 and they have nothing to offer besides another appointment. So we reschedule for 9/8. So now my wife takes half day off and nobody shows up till 3.30. She calls customer care and their first response is to provide her with reschedule options. After 20 mins of conversation they finally sent a technician. And what does he do..tells us that he will be ordering the heating element again!! Is this how this company is making money off insurance?? Doing the same sh** again!! After much argument and discussion, he ended up ordering the heating element again and now we have another appointment in 3 weeks!! So what started on August 1st isn’t over till now and won’t be until the end of month—and that too with no GUARANTEE!!
If I could give them a 0 Star rating I would. The 1st time they came out to assess the repair needs they came 4 hours after their scheduled time. Then they told us they needed to order parts and scheduled us for the following week to do the repair. On the date of service they called us one hour prior to tell us the technician was out sick.. This was on a Saturday at 11:00 a.m. so use your best judgment as to why they were sick. They told us they would not have a technician available for 2 weeks after that. at this time we are still waiting on that final date for repair but it will be well over a month from the time our refrigerator broke. If your warranty says they are using a&e, demand someone else.
I am not sure about all these negative reviews. For me, it has been perfect so far. The technician who came, explained the diagnosis patiently. He worked with home warranty company (who I always had trouble getting things approved on time) diligently. And got the problem resolved pretty quickly. Very much impressed & satisfied. Ill update this review in another 30 days, if the fix they provided is not correct. But, so far, I am not able to understand those low ratings here.
I am 74 years old and this company has worked hard to earn and really earn the distinction of being the very worst, incompetent organization I have ever dealt with. I reported my Kenmore Elite refrigerator not working to them on July 5. Since then they have repeatedly reschedule or not shown up for appointments they scheduled. 2 months and 4 days later after unfulfilled promises and outright lies. They are going to be kind enough to refund my $600+ payment to them in 21 to 30 days. If you have to deal with them you have my condolences. Next time I purchase an appliance, I will ask who does their warranty work and if I am told its this co m pay I will walk out and do my shopping elsewhere. As they have the Sears contract I will never again buy anything remotely related to Sears. I would give them minus stars if that was possible
This place makes an appointment to fix your appliance then they make an automatic call to you saying they need to reschedule. Then the only option they give you is to cancel completely or to reschedule. Then they do it again and again and again. Theyve canceled our appointment 4 times in four days. There is no way possible, that I can find, to talk to a real person. It seems like a scam. Worst company Ive ever dealt with by far. They should be closed down since they dont seem to be a real company.
Unfortunately there is not a minus stars rating. Needless to say that I additionally will be making a report to the BBB as well. This business accepted an appointment on Friday July 30, 2021 to repair my parents refrigerator on August 3, 2021 bet 8-12. My parents are over 70 years of age with existing health conditions. Not only did they not call to tell me they were not coming but they additionally offered a reschedule for August 26, 2021 (3 weeks away). What part of unacceptable is not understood. Did I not emphasize seniors with existing medical conditions. April the representative just continued to read off her script. Based on all the other reviews I have seen it looks like they did me a favor.
We have American Home Shield Insurance home warranty. They contracted out Neal with A&E factory service. He was a delight to work with and he got AHS to approval for a full replacement on our oven range. This guy was honest and a good family man. Thank you Neil for servicing our family here in Austin, Texas .
Do not use them. Their technician never showed. When I called to have them fix this issue. They said I had to reschedule and didnt fix their employees mistake. Now i still have a broken washer and they arent doing anything. I spoke to a supervisor and was then told I still had to reschedule and the soonest appointment was another week away. Then they decided to transfer me to my home warranty instead of dealing with and fixing their mistakes. I waited from 8am to 5pm, wasted my only day off for no one to show and be told I had to reschedule.
Worst company ever. Twice they have canceled my appointment without telling me and the second one I confirmed the morning of to make sure they were coming. They never call back when they say they will, Im pretty sure they hang up the phones too since Ive been disconnected so many times. They shipped my parts and one didnt come to me so when I called about it they said it would take 24 hours to find out from ups where it was, but after having frigidaire contact they they magically could see that the package was at a pick up location right away. They dont have upper management to speak too and do not value their costumers at all.
After replacing the in-door ice maker, they left bent and broken pieces around the fridge (the door now easily falls out), and it did not actually work. After a callback appointment, the second technician said it just needed to be reset and left, and the ice maker still didnt work for several days. Calling back again, I was told that they could not schedule another return trip and that I needed to contact Lowes (appliance covered by their EPP plan), but wouldnt explain why...just kept telling me that I need to call Lowes. The Lowes EPP rep was able to explain that A&E had closed the ticket already, despite the fact that the repair had not been completed and verified, so she arranged for another service to come out and try again.
Tech arrived hot and tired to job. He claimed I stated door latch on front load washer was slammed. He told me going to van to check on availability of parts but instead he notified my warranty to get claim denied. He parked across street and wouldnt answer phone when I tried to contact him. Very bad service I wii not use this company again. Fortunately warranty company sent out new repair company next day.
Tech called ahead, arrived on time, checked for problem, installed new compressor and got my fridge up and running- he knew what he was doing and kept us informed as to what he was doing the whole time. I was not sure about this company after reading the reviews on google but LG sent them out and they were great- I am very happy so dont believe everything you read on reviews- some people only write reviews when not happy.
We initially out in a claim end of May 2021 when or refrigerator stopped cooling. We waited until July 19th for a service tech. He came assessed the refrigerator and said that it was a bad compressor and they have had problems with them. He ordered the parts which came in June. We had a no show appointment on July 8 and then another appointment in July where the tech Paul Y. Refused to come in and do the repairs because it was raining. On August 12 Tech Paul Y. Refused to fix refrigerator. He started that because the back of fridge was dusty that it was our fault. He would not let me talk to a supervisor. He then stole the parts and left. When I called 800# for Sears the tech closed the order and started parts were installed. Then PaulY. Was extremely rude and mean. 10weeks no refrigerator and nothing has been resolved do not use this company.
Technician Looked up YouTube videos on how to diagnose my ice maker and said I needed a new ice maker and switch. 10 minutes of investigating myself found 2 wires that were severed. Waste of money and time, never use this service!
After waiting for the 5th warranty repair of my LG fridge for 17 days, on the day of service I was informed that the repair was postponed for another 6 days! Unreliable company. Poor customer service. The phone rep would not provide his hame or company address or supervisor to escalate and speed up the service. Would never recommend this company. Unfortunately, since the fridge is on warranty, this is the only company contracted by LG to fix the fridge.But if you can have a choice of contractors, do not choose this one.
I had to call THEM to learn my appt, set two weeks prior, was canceled. Then I was told I was going to get a call from dispatch and that never happened. I had to call back again and was given some excuse about a emergency on the part of the technician. I would give negative stars on this rating if I could. Do not give this disgrace of a company a dime.
These guys are the definition of “crooks”. This was the company that was tasked with replacing my refrigerator compressor, which was covered under warranty - parts and labor.The repairman was rude and you could pick up on it when you spoke with him over the phone. When he arrived at my house, I noticed he wouldn’t make eye contact at all. At first, I assumed it was just because he was a shy individual. Turns out, they don’t like to look people in the face when they rip you off.The repairman confirmed the compressor was dead. Great - just what I had assumed! Easy fix, right? Nope. He proceeded to tell me I needed a new board and would probably need a new evaporator too because “they tend to go bad”. After checking with a friend who owns an appliance repair company, I found out you can reprogram the board so no need to replace it.The repairman from A&E said that wasn’t possible. I suggested he swap out the compressor, per the warranty, and then I’ll take care of the board on my own. He let me know that wasn’t an option - I either let them replace the compressor and the board or nothing at all. I was a hostage in my own home.I asked to speak with a supervisor and he said “they’ll tell you the same thing”. When I asked why he couldn’t get me in touch with someone, he replied with “because they don’t want to talk to customers”. I’m not surprised.I was forced to pay him a $180 diagnostic fee and the warranty-covered part was not replaced. They got exactly what they wanted - money for no work done. Something tells me that I’m not the first to have this experience.My friend’s company dropped by a day later and swapped out the compressor. He also reprogrammed the board, you know, the thing the A&E technician said wasn’t possible. Turns out, it is. My refrigerator has been working flawlessly...even without the evaporator the technician also tried to sell me.I’m mostly disappointed in Sears that they would partner with a company like this. Sears had such a great brand and that’s all gone. I’m shocked a company like A&E is in business. I don’t know how you survive when you are blatantly dishonest and steal from customers.Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from these guys as you can. If you are a customer of Sears and you are trying to get some warranty work done, Dave yourself some time and frustration and go another route.
After waiting 3 weeks for a technician, he got sick today, so I lose my place in queue, and must wait another 3 weeks. Mike the dispatcher in Chicago was unsympathetic, indicating that Its not fair to those behind me if the technician works tomorrow. Incredible. This is the provider that Assurant sent my way. ASK FOR ANOTHER PROVIDER!
Had this company out at the request of Best Buy Geek Squad. They showed up and said they had to order a part. Then a few weeks later they tell me that the part was delivered to me. Im like, why are you mailing me the part? The part never arrived. They came out one time. Now 30 days later, Im trying to get Best Buy to do something like warranty their product like the warranty info says. After 30 days, they are supposed to give me a refund. However, A & E is lying about when they came to my house. They say they were out today and they were NOT. No one has been to my house in over 30 days. Freaking crazy stuff. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I will never again buy anything from Best Buy or ever use their service again. YOU will never step foot on my property again.
A&E has been a difficult company to get our washing machine serviced through in San Diego & I highly recommend finding another company. Our extended warranty is through Geek Squad and A&E is who they dispatched to the house. First trip out the tech insisted on just using an impact wrench to tighten down the wash plate that keeps spinning loose. It immediately spun loose on the very next wash cycle after he left. The A&E call center policies & procedures are another problem altogether. I called back in to get a rework trip scheduled & they directed me back to Geek Squad to open another ticket. 5 days later the same tech shows up today & only wanted to use Loctite on the bolt. I insisted he diagnose the issue further instead of using Loctite, but he was unwilling. No work was performed & he said I should call A&E to get another tech dispatched. I called immediately after Andy left the house & the agent said they couldnt reschedule until he completed his report & to call back in an hour. I KNEW the next call that Id be told that they couldnt reschedule because he closed it & that Id need to call Geek Squad again, like last time - exactly what happened. I asked the A&E floor supervisor to let me speak with a manager, but I was told that managers dont speak with customers. Ive never heard that in all of my 25 years of being in the service & call center business. Twice Ive taken time off from work for 4 hrs & not had a solution. I did call Geek Squad as instructed by A&E. I spoke with a US Service Programs rep at AIG, and I recommended they direct work to another service company in the area besides A&E.
I am not sure how the repair will go if they ever come. Ive been dealing with an automated phone system for two days. My current wait time is 62 minutes. Any company that doesnt answer their phones or think that a wait time of over an hour is acceptable says to me that they really dont care about customer service so I can only assume they are a terrible company. Unfortunately when I purchased an extended warranty on my washing machine from Home Depot I didnt know I signed up for this. Ill post again if I ever actually get in touch with them.
Sears Warranty uses a&E factory services for their works. I am going to cancel sears warranty after this 3rd repair call.They came and replaced the compressor in my fridge in May 2020, and now the compressor failed again. The worst part is trying to get the service in.It took 1 month to get the technician to go out to diagnose the problem on June 5. The part arrived in 10 days so I called to get the tech to go out and install it. No tech available until july 15. So it will take 2 months to get a repair done. They dont have any techs around. Can you imagine not having a fridge for 2 months?To rub salt on the wounds, it took 2 hours to get someone to call back to see if a service call would be available.
Whoever is the repair guy in Corpus Christi needs to learn how to be more respectful and not be so rude. Very unprofessional. Apparently he didn’t learn how to talk to people correctly. Or doesn’t even know what good costumer service is. But don’t worry I’ll return this washing machine and take my money else where since this is the company GE had come out to look at my washing machine. Mind you he just ignored everything I said that was going wrong with the washing machine. Don’t park in my driveway. Park on the street like a normal person. Don’t tell me where to stand. You can ask me. I read the Manuel doesn’t mean I’m an expert. So telling me that’s why I told you to read it. Well guess what buddy I did. Hire someone else who actually cares. This guy was a joke. Older guy in 40-50s.
Asked for service on 8/1. They took two weeks to book appointment. The day of the appointment they never showed. When I called to ask what happended, they pushed me out two more weeks. On monday they were supposed to show and claimed no one was home. However when I called in they said they were overbooked. This company is a joke do not use them. 30+ days and still no one has shown up.
Canceled on me once with the excuse of a truck problem. Reschedule a week later. All this is happening when I dont have a working refrigerator . The got the notification from LG that they need to replace a compressor. The second appointment was from 1 to 5 and they were supposed to call me 30 min before. I called tA&E at 3 waited 85 min on the phone to get an answer that the technician will come and will fix the refrigerator today. At 515 someone showed up and when I asked him if he has the part he said NO. I asked him so what is he going to do today if he does not have the part his answer was Sir I came from Houston. I was stunt by this answer and I asked him so how does it matter for fixing my refrigerator. His answer was I dont feel comfortable with you I have to leave. And he left.I will not recommend this company and if you are dealing with LG you should know that they have more technicians in your area. They are deceiving LG by showing availability when they dont have one and the get you in their system.All I can say to future clients is you have been warned by over a thousand people not to hire them. Do your own homework and good luck.
This company is absolutely useless. Completely ghosted. Received multiple text messages confirming my appointment. Once the window (1pm to 5pm) had passed, I called the customer support line and was told the tech was probably running late and if they werent at my house by 6:30pm, to call back. As it turns out, the support line closes at 6pm, so when I called back, there was no one there. Cant help but think the rep didnt feel like doing any real work and purposefully recommended I call back once they were closed.Oh, and I had to wait over a week and a half with a broken fridge just to be ghosted. Terrible support. Terrible customer service. Would give 0 stars, if it were an option.
First appointment was July 13th. Technician came and was there for 5 minutes. He stated the issue was a motherboard and it would take 2 weeks to get the parts. I havent received and email or a call letting me know where the parts are and how long it will be. If this is the level of services you get from the warranty at lowes, than it cheaper to just buy a new appliance rather than wait on this terrible company.
Terrible--multiple service calls. One of the techs totally rude. I ended up getting our brand new fridge replaced. The replacement has an ice-make that doesnt work. They were supposed to be there 8/10/2021 and no called/no showed. At 2:30 called and said tech called in sick and next appointment would be in 3 weeks. Spoke to multiple people--no solution offered, 3 weeks take it or leave it.
I should have picked this service a year ago, but decided not to because of the bad reviews. Instead I picked another service that had 5 stars, and couldnt fix it (spent 2 days diagnosing the wrong area). While I cannot speak for all the one star reviews here, I can say A&E has experienced trained professional technicians, and they fixed my ice machine right away. The whole experience from online scheduling, timely notifications of ETA, service, and even the paperless pay and receipt on exit are professional and exceeded expectations. Unfortunately my lesson from this is that reviews are not always an accurate reflection of what to expect, perhaps they had bad service at one time, but things change. So give them a chance... hopefully youll get the same service as I!
This company is a sham and I would advise anyone out there not to use them. They came out to my house to check out my oven that was not working. Said they would order a part and scheduled a follow for a week. After a week got a call that the part was on back order. 2 weeks still on back order and was told they have up to 21 days to get the part in. Would have been nice to know that in the beginning. 21 days came and went, no call, no part, no oven. Decided to cancel and use my home owners insurance but they needed documentation of what was wrong with the oven. Tried on three separate occasions during a ten day period to get said document and was told by at least two separate people you will receive it in 24-48 hours. Never came. Canceled the work order. Totally unprofessional company!
I have had nothing but trouble with them. No one follows up or takes ownership. I have called daily for over 3 weeks and nothing gets resolved. They canceled my appointment an hour before and then pushed it out a week. I am calling my home warranty company to see if there is another company we can use because we are going on 3 months and still my fridge is not working.
This has become an annual event. Purchased a LG refrigerator in 2015 that is part of the class action suit. Every year the compressor or the fan goes out and, surprise, this is the only firm they use. They have no presence in metropolitan Chicago; 1 is 30+ miles away and the other is in Indiana! Each interaction has been the same; technicians says in their notes they visited when they didn’t, the “client” has to call them to learn the tech entered those notes, offer to get rescheduled and repeat. This has been an annual event to the extent that LG may buy the refrigerator back from us. All we need is a tech to show up. 🙄
I cannot say one positive thing about this company. They have been the assigned service provider for repairs by two different home warranty companies - on one series of occasions for a non-working HVAC system and on one occasion for a broken microwave. In both instances, they missed appointments and failed to communicate that they were not coming as scheduled (and even sent out reminders that they were coming after the technician apparently communicated to the parent company that they werent coming). Not only do they lack all professionalism, they are not even competent providers. When our AC unit was not working, they came out 5 or more times. They were never able to figure out why it was not working. We eventually just decided to pay to have someone come out outside of our home warranty. They immediately were able to diagnose the problem and fix it without any trouble. I cannot even begin to express the incompetence of all of the technicians from A&E who came to our home. On top of that, they communicate in a condescending manner (without the competence to even back it up), and customer service never apologizes or takes any steps to make up for the time and money their failures cause you. I have never had a worse experience with another service provider. They are truly exceptional in their ability to completely fail at their jobs and to provide reasonable customer service.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. A&E is the most unprofessional company to work with. You have much better service with a local repairman in your area. The communication is so poor, nobody speaks English and when asking to speak with a supervisor they hang up on you. Everyone is Indian and rude. We have been without a refrigerator since May 11 and our warranty covers for A&E to schedule the repair. Every week when the time comes for repairman to show up A&E gave me an automated phone call stating they need to reschedule our repair service appointment so we follow to the following week for repairs and they called the day before to tell us there is no repair service available and we need to reschedule. We have been playing this cat and mouse game for a month now and I HIGHLY recommend using a local repairman to fix your appliances. This company needs to be shut down for their lack of communication and scheduling, their employees not speaking English and hanging up, and their absolute S*it service.
Have not even had the appt yet and already disappointed. The scheduled repair was cancelled half way through the day it was suppose to take place. A&E has one tech that services my area, one day a week and since they are out, i have to wait another week. I would recommend you avoid this company for anything and everything as their support model and customer appreciate is non-existent. if i could give them negative stars, i would. This company has some kind of contact with LG, but they never showed up, no calls for any update. One of freaking worst company ever. Do not waste your time if LG set you up any appointments with them.
I will never use this company as long as I can help it. The first 2 people came to fix washer looked at it and order parts, had to wait for a month! When last part finally came the second person came asked questions took washer apart and fixed it within 15 mins! (I didn’t even need the parts🤦🏽♀️) He was awesome but the first techs (2) and the rep on phone that hung up in my face due too her feeling like I was asking too many questions was horrible!! My situation would’ve been fixed when they came out the first time if they would have done the job! I am very displeased with this company!!!!!!
Worst experience every, the technician told me a needed a new computer for my washer, came back a week later put it in, left said it was fixed and it wasnt I called right away, they said they would send him back, instead they closed my ticket and said I would have to make another appt. My warranty company made another appt, which I waited all day he never showed, he closed my ticket again and did there was nothing he could do. He didnt even show up, worst experience ever now I have a giant paper weigh...
The short story: They didnt show up for the scheduled appointment even though they did send two different text messages confirming the appointment, including one on the day of the appointment.The long story: I needed my refrigerator repaired at my vacation home, which is a 3 hour drive (one way). I booked the appointment for Monday (3/15/21) with a time slot of 8 am to 5 pm. The appointment was confirmed via text message on Friday (3/12/21). I drove to the house and waited. At 12:39 pm on Monday (3/15/21) I received another text confirming my appointment for that same day, between 8 am and 5 pm. The text had a link attached to it. Out of boredom or curiosity, I clicked on the link which took me to a web page that said that my appointment is scheduled for April 1st. I immediately called the 800# and after waiting for approximately 15 minutes spoke with someone. I explained the situation to her. She insisted that my appointment was on April 1st. I told her that I didn’t book April 1st and explained that I drove 3 hours to be there today and took a day off of work and I needed my fridge fixed today. She told me that she would call the tech and ask him to come out today. I asked her to call me back to confirm that the tech was coming and she told me that they don’t have the ability to place outgoing calls. I asked her to have the tech call me so I know that he’s coming. She said that he will call an hour before his arrival. I told her that I just need to know that he was coming today and if someone could let me know in the next 20 minutes, I would appreciate it because I had a long drive to get home that night. Well, no one called.After 40 minutes, I called the 800# back and spoke to a different person. There is no mechanism to get back to the original customer service representative. I explained the whole thing to him. He said that he would try to get someone out to me today. He then told me that they didn’t have any technicians in the entire state of New Hampshire. He said that he would reach out to the dispatch center and see if one of the other appliance repair companies that they work with could send someone out today. I told him that would be great. I asked how I would know if they are coming? He said that they will call me back between 24-48 hours. I told him that the time frame didn’t make sense if I was waiting for someone to come out today, why would they call me in a day or two? I then asked for the phone number to the dispatch center, which he said he couldn’t give me. He then told me the same thing about them contacting me in 24-48 hours as if he were reading from a script that he couldn’t deviate from. I said to him, so you’re telling me that I should just get in my car and start my three hour drive home? His reply was “yes”.It is now Thursday (3/18/21) 72 hours later and no one has called me. I am out of $50+ in gas and tolls, lost a vacation day at work and wasted a day of my life and still left with a broken fridge.I would never, ever hire A&E. The only reason that I was dealing with them was because they were sent to do the repair work under my service agreement with Lowe’s.
They could not repair our refrigerator from June 10 after replacing two major parts. We purchased a new different refrigerator about August 7 from a local store (not Lowes). We will never deal with A &E Service again as it would take them two weeks to answer a service call on our refrigerator, and they would try again after another two weeks and this continued from June 12, all of July, and till about August 7.
The first experience was great. The service tech was able to get out for our repair fairly quickly however, they needed a part to finish the job. (2 weeks estimated time). We received the part but, service tech never showed up for the appointment with no explanation so they pushed our appointment another week. Finally the day has arrived that our dishwasher will finally be of use however, they called an hour before they were supposed to arrive and told us we had to push us out ANOTHER full week. We are going on 4 weeks with a useless machine and I’m quite frustrated that there is no other service tech that can make their way out to fix it. Would love to have some type of cancellation list OR make it a priority since it has been them to cancel on us.
The technician was a rude person i requested he never come again i have asked sine june for my air condtion to be fixed as of this date it has not they are so pitiful i dont know what to do he is rescheduling my appts himself i am 70 yrs old with a heart condtion can you belive this

Contracted through Sears Home Services. Easily the worst repair company in town. Sent four different teams of techs to work on a range that the fourth tech said they dont work on (Kitchenaid Commercial - extremely common). The only way I was able to get anyone to respond was to make a BBB claim against them, then they assigned me someone and magically they were very quick to respond and refund money.Absolutely unprofessional, untrained and poor service.

The technician that initially came out to my house was polite and professional, everything else about my experience with A&E has been terrible. They are 2.5 months into fixing my LG refrigerator. Everytime I call them the story is different and often completely contradicting what I have been told before. I would never use A&E again or recommend them to anyone except some one I hated.

By far the worst appliance company! They were picked through our home warranty company, repair guy came out and just said that our breaker had flip. He switched it back on and blamed bad wiring in our house. This is AFTER I told him more than once that I was concerned that smoke was billowing out of the oven. 2 days later the oven is still not working so my husband took it apart and found BURNT heating element that broke in half! We paid the deductible for the home warranty to send him and still had to buy the part and fixed it ourselves because we can’t sit at home waiting for them to keep coming back. He was lazy and just took the back of the stove off, not even checking the ACTUAL OVEN! ZERO stars!!! Do not waste your time or money.
This company was terrible, they told me they could fix my washer as long as they could get part, then they were able to get the part but I was told they had other calls to still go to and now couldn’t do it after all would need to reschedule!! Of course I declined and it cost me 100.00 and all afternoon of my time!Also they didn’t put anything back!
Horrible! I would give negative five stars if I could. Came out to look at my new, LG oven, guessed at the problem, said it would take a bit for the part to come in. I get frustrated because NO ONE had contacted me and from Nov.2020, its now Feb.2021! Just to find out that they CANT find the part! Well.... then why didnt someone let me know?! If we could leave 0 stars we would. We have been fighting back and forth for 2 MONTHS to try and get our washer fixed while it was under warranty. They have been giving us the go around since May and our appliance STILL isn’t fixed. The first repairman didn’t even look at the appliance, just started to randomly order parts that ended up being incorrect and our home now is filled with huge boxes they sent and haven’t even opened up. They promise their service, yet do not show up or complete their end of service. I have never in my life dealt with such unprofessional service.
They’ve been to my house 4 times to repair a washer and dryer combo that still 2 months later isn’t working and the unit is only 6 months old. The latest repair tech was rude and after me asking why he needs to rediagnose this same machine for the same issue a 4th time he and I quote “no you can’t speak to the supervisor, you have 2 options I rediagnose or I leave. You pick”. I will never in my life buy a unit from Home Depot,Frigidaire,or anything attached to A&E
A&E Factory service took up a job from my home warranty to fix my fridge. They couldn’t get the parts and won’t send any reports to my insurance company to close the case. They just want me to wait forever for this part to come in. Original appointment was January 30, 2021. Today is March 15 and they still want me to wait.
I set up an appointment with A&E to get my Whirlpool microwave repaired after inquiring with several other repair places and being told they did not work on Whirlpools, so I turned to A&E as a last resort. They did not ask me any questions about the problem and just threw a quote at me and told me they could definitely fix it no matter the problem, when I asked them if they wanted to know what was wrong with it. The earliest appointment they could get me was 3 weeks out. Again, since this was my last resort, I booked the appointment. The appointment came and went and no one showed up. I called A&E to reschedule and they told me the earliest appointment I could get was another 3 weeks out. Fine, whatever, Ive waited this long and I book the appointment. The guy shows up, about an hour past the 8am to 12pm window I was given, opens up the microwave, says Yep, its broken and I cant fix it. Thatll be $274.15. I refused to pay and without much hassle the tech left. I receive and email about one minute later with a form that said I accepted the charges with my signature at the bottom, where the technician had clearly forged it. It came along with the two other forms that I actually had signed so the forgery was glaringly obvious. A&E has no location on their website and only a foreign call center so all my attempts to call and speak with someone, anyone, about the service I received were moot.
Damaged my floor, wanted me to sign a waiver. Did not disclose the damage, refused to give his name, left without repair when waiver not signed. He said there was no one else I could talk to.

We had an appointment set for July 3rd but on July 2nd at 7:58 p.m. we received a message saying they need to reschedule and the soonest available is July 29th. Screw you! I am not waiting 26 days for you to come! You will not get a penny of my money. You accepted the appointment and now youre saying your technician is calling in sick?! What you have only 1 tech? And he is going to be sick for the next 26 days? Or is it because hes sick youre bumping me all the way back to the end of the list when weve already been waiting? Whatever the case is your company sucks!
The worst. Fridge under warranty from Best Buys Geek Squad through which a & e are apparently contracted. Its been 15 days now and still not fixed!! They missed TWO appointments. Claimed no one was home for the first which is not true, no one called and no one showed and we were home (and have cameras), and no technician available for the second visit to install parts. They keep postponing and wasting our time for something thats considered an emergency. No fridge for two weeks.
Repair person came out said I needed a compressor for my refrigerator under warranty from LG it would ship to my house. After 4 weeks no compressor arriving called the company left multiple messages finally got through to them they said the repair person closed my claim and said I declined the service. Repair mans phone is disconnected. Definitely wait for LG person to come out this company doesn’t even deserve the one star but that’s the lowest rating to choose from. Horrible service via phone and In person.
This is the worst experience weve ever had with repair service. Were going on 6 weeks with a malfunctioning refrigerator. We called them and it took almost a week for a repairman to get here. He worked on the fridge, said he rigged it to work, but had to order parts and come back. A different guy showed up in 3 weeks after the parts arrived and said the wrong parts were ordered. He would have to order more parts, including $31 worth of screws, then come back in another 3 weeks. That would be today. No one showed. So no fridge and were starting all over again.
Didn’t show up. Service window was between 8am-5pm. I waited at home all day. No courtesy phone call- nothing. Do not use this extremely unprofessional company.
6 visits, and 5 orders of cheap, simple parts later, my dryer is still not fixed. The techs seem competent and friendly, and the phone folks and the internet chat folks are all eager to try and help. But those good people are fatally hampered by a deeply inefficient company. The amount of time I have spent chasing them down, chasing parts down, and trying to get my dryer fixed is way out of proportion to the nature of the job. The whole 5-week-long saga has been riddled with missteps and mistakes, fanned by inefficient communication (their fault), shipping mistakes (their fault), and UPS delays (not their fault). Emblematic of the whole situation was the 2-week-late arrival of a teeny, fragile part in an envelope also occupied by a 5 pound forklift mast bearing. I don’t think there is anything other than managerial incompetence going on here. But it is pro-league incompetence. I wish for the techs and the customer service folks to find a reliable, sensible employer—they deserve better than A and E. If you can find an alternative, it will be less frustrating, and more effective.
I purchased a oven from Home Depot it was put in and does not work they called A&E Factory Service and was told a told us a tech would be here on 5/6 between 8 am and 5 pm and would call 30 minutes before they came. No one called and no one came. They sent a text to rescheduled the appointment for 5/18 really unacceptable. I had to hire someone to stay at my home all day for nothing. From the reviews this seems to happen alot. I cant believe this company with all the reviews is still in business. Their home office is in Texas so they sub contract with Sears which has closed down their stores. They need to go out of business as well. Horrible service.
I am beyond frustrated with the customer service I have received from this company. They give you a 9 hour time frame that they will be at your house at thankfully im a stay at home mom otherwise I would have had to take the day off work 2 times for this company to get out here. The first time they were to come I was told they would be here soon after 45 min of waiting I called to see where were and how much longer it would be they said that were at another house and would be there soon. First, dont tell someone youll be there soon and it not actually be within a reasonable time frame. Second, a more realistic time window of 4ish hours would be nice.So the first time I had to leave because I thought they would have already been there due to the message I got.The second time he came supposedly fixed it and left after he left and I tried to run my dishwasher I found out out it was not fixed and it was doing the same thing that I called them about. Super frustrated that this is the only company GE can use in our area for a subcontractor to work on appliances that are under manufacturers warranty. At this point I just hope Ge gives me a new dishwasher Im tired of dealing with this company and GE. Wont be buying another Ge appliance again.
In the past, theyre pretty good. Now? Really bad. No show no call no notification!! Its been 2 months since they emailed me that my repair parts have been ordered. Then I have to call for the status of back order for the repair once for a while.
It should be apparent from several other reviews what a horrible company this is to deal with. The service was scheduled for today from 12-5pm window to get our washer repaired. Got a call from the technician at 6:45pm who just casually mentioned he is on his way. When asked why running late, he said because he is too far from my home. Really? And once he was here and checked the washer, he said he cannot do it alone and will need another technician to help him out, so we need to reschedule the service again with 2 technicians!
Don’t ever use A & E service to repair anything in your home. They are a POS company that have a wait time for calls over 160 minutes and they do not show up for scheduled service appointments. Two confirmed appointments with multiple text messages confirming appointments and never showed up. If I could give ZERO stars I would! I could of bought a whole new washer by now! POS company and they need to go out of business.

I called A&E out to diagnose and repair my Whirlpool dryer which was not working. They first came on 1/18/2021 to perform the diagnoses. This actually went well. The tech arrived right at 10:00am, was polite and engaged with me on what was wrong. He gave me a quote, which I approved and parts were ordered which arrived at my home few days later. They were supposed to come back and complete the repair today 1/27/2021 between 10:00am and 2:00pm. Well, 2:15pm comes and nobody has shown, called, nor texted. All I had was a generic email confirming the appointment details. So, I give a call to A&Es 800 number and play around with the menu to finally get somebody on the line, which isnt easy. Like many others have noted, its obvious the call center is outsourced to another part of the world, which can make communication difficult. I get told I am the next appointment, and to keep my phone close, as the tech should be calling me very soon. I also got the windows and siding sales pitch somebody else mentioned (yeah, Ill definitely take you up on that...). Well, its now 5:00pm and nobody has called. After reading all these reviews, Im guessing they arent going to be showing anytime soon. Ill be calling a local repair service in the morning. I wish I had read these reviews before wasting time and money with these people.
Im paying a monthly fee for Sears Home Services Warranty, and I have been waiting since the day after Christmas - two months and counting - for someone to repair my oven. Four visits by technicians from this company, only one of whom did anything more than just open the oven door; back ordered parts that took weeks to arrive only to find out they were the WRONG parts ... I have spent more time on the phone trying to talk to someone than anyone has spent inside our home fixing what clearly was a baking element blowout that took out some relays as well.the last technician who visited us was admirable in his willingness to help, but he also explained that his hands are tied if management or contractors refuse to allow him to buy parts from suppliers that have them or train other techs who need training. I know covid has complicated everything, but two months and counting to deal with a straightforward oven repair is too much to ask.

I called Samsung because my washer machine is not working, they provided me this number to fix it and it has been the worse experience ever. They came to offer Sears insurance, 1 person came the first time he told me to buy it and he did not like that i did not get the insurance, he told me that it’s going to take long time to fix the machine. Anyways, it was a memorial weekend long weekend, I forgot to make an appointment with them to fix the machine all because they did not have the parts and they need a confirmation and 80% of the payment before to fix the machine so Tuesday I called the company to make the next appointment to repair it this time, they told me someone it’s going on Thursday, so I thought to repair it, because they checked the machine already, i was happy! Nooo really! They came again to offer Sears insurance, the guy supeeeeer rude after the person said it was not interested, he gave the appointment for 2 weeks after that day he came to order and fix it and on top of everything they charged me again $79 dollars and he just came to make a few phone calls. I just pay half of $79 dollars. They told me they’re going to come to fix it and on that day nobody came and we paid it full already for them to order parts. I do NOT recommend this company at all.
Worst experience Ive ever dealt with in my life. I would not recommend using this company completely horrible and unprofessional. Ive been trying to have service done on my dishwasher since January. Ive already had three people come out to service my dishwasher. Third guy tells my daughter it can not be repaired and to contact best buy for a replacement, needless to say Ive been getting nothing but a run around and my dishwasher still isnt repaired. Then they tell me I need to have the service guy come back out to my home so they can document it in the system that it can not be fixed. Needless to say ive had two other appointments since then and the guys were no shows. My dishwasher is still broken. At first they tried to say it was my water line when thats definitely impossible since my kitchen is brand new. Tired of being inconvenience by this company. I missed multiple days from work for them to not even show. The worst experience Ive ever dealt with.
Worst place for repairs and customer service. Repair men have No idea what they are doing, they just throw parts at the problem tell something sticks. In our case they ordered a bunch of parts none of which would fix the problem. Then they sent us to collection for not paying for the wrong parts that they ordered. Best Buy set the repair up and has been No help either. I will not use either company ever again and to top it off, the parts on still in boxes sitting on my porch 6 months now.
4 services calls for a new Frigidaire refrigerator that quit working after 6 months. Twice they no called no showed. The two times they actually showed up the repairman did not have the skills or certification to repair the refrigerator. Both service calls ended with a poor excuse an a still broken refrigerator. How this company stays in business is beyond me. Horrible customer service is an understatement..
I honestly do not understand why LG and especially LG Signature is using A&E as their contracted repair company.Their scheduling people are incompetent and blocked to do anything on their own, including thinking.Long story short - three appointments, three reschedules. The new part (linear compressor for LG Signature refrigerator) has been delivered over a week ago; however, they keep rescheduling due to a completely unrelated reason.LG - please terminate the contract with them and use another more competent company.
After having nothing but bad experiences in Albuquerque with A and E for more than a year, I finally was contacted by a training supervisor (Karen) who shocked me by how good she was - professional, friendly, and efficient.
Called Sears (service) to repair my Kenmore washer. They sent out Rick between 1-5 PM. Rick called around 3:30 that he was minutes away. He came in placed the water pump and was out by 4:15 PM. My husband and I were happy it was quick and we made it to Mass on time. Thank you!
Came to my house, looked at everything told me the unit was fine. Sent me to Home Depot to buy some more salt pellets to fill the water tank. I came back and he told me a certain pipe needed to be replaced as he “showed me how he was struggling to pull it up!” I grabbed my pliers and pulled it up with ease right in front of him. Then he showed me a $5 rubber ring that needed replacement, yet again, I placed it back in its spot right in front of him. He then told me it’s going to cost me a total of over $250 for him to replace the $5 ring. I declined and told him to put it back just the way it was. He told me he couldn’t. So now I paid $85 for him to take apart my perfectly working machine. Do not use this company! They rate a 1 out of 5 for a reason!

If enough of us file Federal Trade Commission consuner complaints online about A&E, the FTC will investigate and take action.Class action lawsuit? A good lawyer is needed here to even figure out who to file this against. Through Google research, A&E now part of Transformco, a Sears holding umbrella company and Whirlpool.Other strategies. Executive escalation with company you bought appliance from. I found phone and Google contacts for GE online. And if you have significant property damage due to A&E gross neglect of your malfunctioning appliance, you can file a subrogation claim with your homeowners insurance company zero deductible for you and your homeowners insurance filing suit against A&E. Also if your local TV station has a consumer advocate, thats another avenue.Personally trying for a month to get A&E to fixing a leaking refrigerator into the food compartment getting worse. One failed attempted repair and two missed follow up service calls so far.
First visit they said my oven just need to reset oven temp. Didnt work. They came back and told me they would order a part. Came back and said they needed two parts. Came back pulled oven from the wall and said they had the wrong parts and they could no longer get the correct parts. They then put the oven back incorrectly into the wall and left. The oven was usable before with an oven thermometer to know the correct temp. Now the door doesnt close all of the way and I found four screws sitting in the oven. They refuse to come back and make it right. Do not use this company under any circumstances!!!
The technician knocked so lightly that my dog didn’t alert, then called my cell phone when I was in the bathroom. Then just left, when I got a reschedule, the date is 3 weeks out.
Our experience with A&E has been extremely frustrating. From lack of communication, failed appointments and a tech who said he did not have experience with the repair he was sent to work on. Unfortunately we obtained an extended warranty from A&E from our local Appliance Company A1 in Kenner LA.We should have gotten the warranty from Maytag. We have spent days on the phone just to determine how to contact the warranty service and still were not given the name and phone number of the local repair service.A&E did not bother to call to cancel their scheduled repair call because we were not even told how many part packages would be sent OR that they would be mailed to US. Finally after reaching a A&E rep.he hung up on me when I asked him to tell the company administrators what terrible communication and service we have been subjected to.We will never purchase from A1 appliance again because they did not tell us that the extended warranty that they sold us was not from the appliance company:Maytag, nor were they helpful in resolving issues with our purchases.
This company is absolutely terrible. We were given a 4 hr time frame for fridge repair. 4 hrs came and went. No call from repair service. 45 min after our appt time frame of 4 hrs - repair person arrived. He Couldn’t repair & ordered parts. We were then given An appt 2 wks later. Received pkge part in mail. Today I called to get estimate time of arrival- waited 55 min to talk to someone that could only tell me that I was given a temporary appt - that I did not receive both parts. Ugh. DO NOT use this company. Absolutely horrendous. Came out to fix a burner for my induction stove top. Had to order the part. Two weeks later, a technician comes out and ends up shorting the circuit board. Had to order an entire brand new top. Three more weeks go by, had an appointment between 1-5pm. Technician Calle AFTER 5 and said another part needed to be ordered, the previous technician caused this issue and this was a two man job. Two more weeks go by, technician installed new top and STILL couldn’t figure it out. Left after three hours. An hour and a half after he leaves, heard a loud BANG in the kitchen. He had installed it so tight/incorrect that it cracked right in half. So now I’ve been without a stove for two months. Customer service sucks and barely speak English. The manager Freddy is an absolute idiot and really could care less about anything. Use any other company if you can. These people are worthless.
Wesley had to put a new circuit board in. The way things went, Im guessing Wesley didnt even install the new part that was shipped to us..Got a phone call after 15-20mins that it was up and running. Got home and he didnt even attach the front panel of the door back together. There is also a new (u o) error flashing on the led screen that was never there before this company sent their incompetent employee.
Technician came out to diagnose broken LG refrigerator. He was great. Ordered the parts and scheduled a date to come finish repair. That day came and no one showed up. Similar to other reviews, call center said we were next on the technicians list, and then no one shows up. Rescheduled for 3 weeks out. Second appointment comes and same thing. No one shows up, we call, get told we are next on the list and then no one shows up and we get rescheduled for another 3 weeks out. We havent had a refrigerator for 2 months now!!!! This company is running a scam. Not convinced anyone is actually going to come fix our fridge now and we cant go to someone else because they ordered the parts!!!!
I was happy that the repair man fixed my washer in about 30 minutes, but I really did not realize until afterwards that he charged me $227 for 30 minutes worth of work to replace a part . That was just the labor. The part was only $31.00. After some research I realized that the majority of repair places charge between 100 - 250 per hour. i just paid double the maximum. I hope that they really could use the money. Anyone reading this, be aware that this is highway robbery in labor costs. To take advantage of a single women is mean. Next time, I will learn to look at reviews, as more questions and look for someone better.
This place is a nightmare:Appointment 1 (February 3rd): Found out the issue, but needed to order parts.Appointment 2: Canceled appointment due to technician illness.Appointment 3: Many weeks later, but claims that the previous technician didnt order any parts and then it took a lot of convincing to get the new technician to look at the washing machine to see what the issue was.Appointment 4: Appointment was canceled because the company says we did not inform them that the parts had arrived. The parts were being tracked, so the company absolutely knew that the parts had arrived. They never told us we were supposed to inform them of arrival and they did not inform us that our appointment was canceled.It is now halfway through March and we still dont have a working washing machine.I have no idea how this company is still in business. Im never buying a LG product again if this is the people they hire for warranty repair.
Best Buy sent them out to fix, again my Samsung Ice Maker. He did not introduce himself, did not wear booties (it snowed that morning), walked in and went straight to the fridge without me, defrosted the ice maker, did not clean up any of the water left in the refrigerator, left, checked his work, he broke the ice bucket, called him back, confirmed it was broken, refused to give me a phone number and refused to call his office himself. Absolutely the worst customer service ever!
Kris with a K in the Amarillo location did a fantastic job. He didnt have the right part to get the job done the first time, but was very apologetic and very knowledgeable about his job. He showed back up a few days later and took care of it in a few hours. He probably would have got done quicker if I hadnt been talking to him so much. Hes a great guy and really cares about taking care of his customers! I would recommend him to anyone. I was really scared when I saw the Google ratings, but Kris pleasantly surprised did a superb job.
This company is absolutely worthless. They keep sending technicians out that leave with our washer in worse shape than it was before they touched it. It is unfortunate that customers of LG and other manufacturers are forced to use this company.
A&E Factory Service was the repair company assigned to me to fix my LG washing machine under warranty. I was given an appointment date of 6/11 with an arrival window of 12:00 PM-5:00 PM. I received a text message from A&E the morning of my appointment confirming the time. At 4:10 PM, I received another text message from A&E stating that my service had been rescheduled to 6/17 from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM. I immediately called the company to find out why my appointment was cancelled for today and was given no explanation other than I was removed from the technicians schedule. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was supposedly transferred to escalation. I sat on hold for awhile before being hung up on. I asked LG to cancel my 6/17 appointment with A&E and find me a different repair company.
